????Narrator’s pov????

“You despicable bastard!”

“You are just a crazy bit-ch who seek attention. I don’t Fuc-king have your time.”

“And do you think I’m the jobless one here, huh?”

“Oh shut up! If you didn’t lose control in there and behave stupidly, maybe we wouldn’t be in this condition right now. Maybe I wouldn’t be here having this pointless conversation with you.”

“You should have kept quiet instead of opening that big mouth of yours!”

“Listen, I’m tired of talking. I would advice you to just shut up and follow my lead.”

“Follow your lead?” She scoffed. “You are mad. Who do you think you are to lead me? Just thank your God I’m trying to control my temper, if not…”

“What will you do? Stomp on my foot again? Knock off my nose? Give me black eyes? Or hit me at the back of my head like you did just now at the principal’s office? Listen, shit like that don’t freak and that’s because I go throu-ghthem everyday!” He snapped out. After a moment of silent, he sighed realizing what he had just done. He almost blew off his covers. He almost reviewed his pain and the torture he has been going throu-ghat home. He can’t let that open. He can’t show the world or the girl staring at him with confusion in her eyes his scars or pain.

He can’t be tagged or be seen as “the guy with the de-ep scars.”

Come to think of it,,,he has to avoid his father while been cuffed with her for this one week.

He can’t let her see how crazy it was between him and his father.

He can’t let her see throu-ghhim and know how broken he was beyond repairs.

He doesn’t want people to look at him with those pitiful eyes…just like the way his sister do look at him whenever he goes to his room after been beaten up by their father.

Brenden started walking away, tugging Gwen from behind who haven’t let out a single word since he said those last sentences to her.

They walked out of the school building and went straight to the parking lot where Brenden’s car was parked.

He brou-ght out his keys and unlocked the car then got in while Gwen just stood outside, staring at him.

How the hell was she going to enter the car now?

“This can’t work out, you know that right?” She stated, tilting her head to the side.

“Then do you have any other option?” He retorted.

She shrugged. “We could just take public…arrrrrgh, I hate taking public transport. I know what I pa-ssed throu-ghthis morning.” She sighed. “We should probably trek.”

Brenden eyes went wide at that. “Trek? You and I?”

She rolled her eyes. “No. The car and I. What sort of a stupid question is that? Do you think I also want people to see me cuffed with an annoying jerk like you?”

“Annoying jerk?” He repeated. “Well, that’s far more better compared to be seen walking along the road cuffed with a short tomboy.”

“Short? Did you just call me short?” She glared.

“What, are you tall?” He questioned, matching her glare with one of his.

Gwen glanced at him from head to toe, thinking of a way to wipe that stupid smirk off his face.

Maybe she should just hit his head against the steering wheel. Or maybe she should just use her left wrist to hit his nose, forgetting the fact that she su-ckat using left hands…wait, she actually do su-ckat using left hand…why the hell did she let the principal cuff her right wrist instead of her left?

Dammit, Brenden has more advantages than her.

Wait, you guys don’t know that the principal was the one who cuffed them by himself?

|FLASHBACK|

“What are you both doing here?” Tue principal asked as Brenden and Gwen walked inside his office, looking very annoyed about something. “Is something wrong?”

“Everything is wrong!” Brenden stated, r
throwing his hands up in the air as if frustrated.

“What do you mean?” He asked, acting to be confuse when in reality he knows just what they were talking about.

“I think there’s a mistake somewhere. I was mistakenly partnered up with this…tomboy beside me. And i know that was definitely a mistake because there’s no way you would have let that happen.” Brenden said, earning a glare from Gwen but chose to completely ignore her.

The principal, Mr Daniel took off his gla-sses and dropped it on the desk. leaning back on his chair to get a better view of the two students standing in front of him.

He couldn’t believe they both thought it was a mistake that they were partners. If only they knew that the a-ssignment was because of them and their continuos fighting about nothing!

He was tired of always complaining.

He was tired of punishing them every single day.

He need to put an end to this two people fight and end whatever hatred they have on each other.

Like seriously, how can two people just decide to be enemies? That’s ridiculous, right?

He don’t care to know about the cause of their hatred or what made their relationship this bittered but all he knows was that the shit needs to end.

And even if it means cuffing every student in the school then so be it! Enough is enough.

“Mistake?” He scoffed. “And what mke you two think that it was a mistake?” Neither of them said a word. “I thought as much.” He sighed. “You two have decided to be a bone in my throat which refuse to go down or be spat out and I’m tired. You are always disturbing the teachers in clas-swith your continuous fight and heated argument. Gwen even almost knock off your nose,,,” He reminded them.

“Uhm, that happened before I started this school.” Gwen pointed out, stuffing her hands into her pan-ts pocket.

“Oh, so you two have been enemies even before you,” He pointed at Gwendolyn, “started this school?”

“He was being such a jerk. And it was against my rules.” She stated, nonchalantly.

“Well I don’t care about your rules or how be was being such a jerk but I’m tired of you two and that’s why Give decided to take this risk.”

“Wait, you gave out this a-ssignment because of the two of us?” Gwendolyn asked now.

“I will give you the credit of being smart here, Gwendolyn. And yes, you are absolutely right here. You both were the inspiration I needed for this a-ssignment.”

“Or more like punishment.” She mumbled under her breath, clenching her jaw. “I can’t do this. I can’t be cuffed with this co-cky idiot.”

“Language, Ms, Darlings.” Daniel warned, giving her a stern look. “I don’t need your approval for anything.”

“Well, my dad wouldn’t…” She began but he cut her off.

“I’ve talked to every parents and they’ve accepted and that includes the both of your parents.” He smirked. “Remember I told you both I will get back to you later? Well I’ve finally did. I hope this punishment will teach you both a lesson now.”

Silence!

Silence!

Silence!

Suddenly Brenden and Gwen both went on their knees, bringing their hands together in front of them, pleadingly.

Daniel was a bit taken aback by their reactions.

Who would believe that this two will go on their knees like this?

Is this how they really hated each other??? He wondered.

“We are pleading with you now, Mr…uhm, principal,” Brenden began but Daniel cut him off.

“Mr Daniel or Principal Daniel.” He corrected.

“Yeah. That name. I know we’ve been a headache to the school and trust me, it’s practically hasn’t been my fault. She’s the problem here. Ever since I cross path with her, everything changed. See I’m not asking you to put an end to the a-ssignment or should I call it punishment but I’m only pleading with you to
switch up our names. Partner me up with someone else. Someone that isn’t her.” Brenden pleaded.

Gwen just remained mute, trying to avoid saying anything that worsen the situation.

Daniel glanced over at Gwen whose gaze were lowered to the ground.

“Gwen, what do you have to say about that accusation? Are you really the cause of the fight going in between you both?”

Damn, he should never have directed any question at her.

Wait, did he do this intentional just to make her say something that would ruin every chances of them getting out of this mess?

She cleared up her throat with the aim of being in her best behaviour.

“He’s lying. I…”

“I’m lying? What’s your problem, Gwendolyn? Why do you always look for ways to cause trouble, huh? I really want to be your friend but you keep pushing me away like I am some piece of trash.” Brenden pouted, feigning hurt.

Now she get what he was trying to do.

He don’t intend to get them out of the mess but rather wants to make her look like the bad person here.

Fuc-k, she should have known this. This idiot wasn’t just a jerk but a crook. Big one.

“Can you just shut up.” She snapped, glaring at him. “We are here talking about reasonable something and this is the only think you could think of saying? I know you are stupid but can’t you at least pretend to have sense?”

“Did you just call me stupid?”

“What other way can we describe your stupidity?”

“I hate you so much!” He growled.

“We are even then because I hate you with so much pa-ssion.”

“It’s an honor, barbie.” He smirked, earning a smack at the back of his head by Gwen. “What the hell was that for?”

“That’s just a warning. Don’t ever call me barbie, you Fuc-king idiot.”

“And if I do what are you going to do about that, Barbie?” His smirk grew wider.

“Call me that again, I dare you.”

Daniel banged his palm on the desk, getting up to his feet.

“Enough you two! What’s your problem?”

“He started it.” They both said in sync.

“Learn to make use of your pronouns well and stop behaving like a damn fool.”

“First you called me idiot, stupid and now you are calling me fool? Why are you always this violence and abusive, huh?”

“Violence?” She scoffed. “You are crazy to think I’m being violence right now because if I really was then your co-cky face wouldn’t have been complete by now.”

“Fine!” Daniel pulled out a handcuff from his locker and went closer to them. “Since you both have made it your mission to frustrate me, I will do just that to you as well. I will frustrate you both until you learn to tolerate each other and if that doesn’t happen within this one week then I will have no other option than to go on with my second alternative.”

“Which is?” Both Brenden and Gwen questioned, curiously.

“Expulsion. Now your hands.”

“I can’t believe you put me in this condition just because you don’t want to trek.” Gwen retorted angrily.

“Shouldn’t I be the one vexed? You are literally bothering me. I can’t even breath well.”

“Oh please stop exaggerating.” She rolled her eyes, adjusting herself which earned a gro-an from Brenden. “Did you just mo-an?” She questioned teasingly.

He laughed. “mo-an? Don’t hype yourself, barbie. Why should I be turned on by you?”

Gwen adjusted herself again. She was currently sitting on Brenden’s lap behind the steering wheel.

She wasn’t making the drive easier for him due to her continuous
adjustment.

Was she deliberately doing this to torture him?

How the hell was he going to cope with her stuck to him for one whole week?

Will he ever survive it?

Geez, he needs to be careful with her by his side.

Brenden turned the wheel to another route with only one destination in mind.

“Wait, where are you heading to?” Gwendolyn questioned, rasing a questioning brow.

“What sort of a stupid question is that? Where else should I be heading to if not home?”

“Home? Like your own house?”

“No but yours.” He said sarcastically.

Gwen pressed on the brake pedal, bringing the car to a stop. “There’s no Fuc-king way I will let you go to your house without going to mine, okay?”

“And who’s going to stop me?” He challenged.

“Me.”
