Irene stood from her be-d and head to the Queen’s quarter.
She knocked softly.
“Come in…” The queen responded.
As Irene entered the room, she saw some maids helping Queen Anne with her hair.
Irene bowed.
“You can all go..” Anne ordered.
The maids left except Irene.
“Come, have a seat” Queen Anne said.
Irene sat opposite the queen.
“I know you are just new here. I feel like I’m inflicting a lot of work on you”
“No my queen, I’m just doing my duties” she said.
“Ohh yes, I’m tired of all the duties” she thought.
“I wanted you to help me with something else”
“There she goes again, another duty” Irene thought again.
“Sure my queen, I can help you with anything ”
“I can’t believe I’m saying this” Irene thought again putting on a fake smile.
“I nee-d you to take care of Fredrick…the maid in charge of him is pregnant for Casper. This is the 6th maid. I know you are capable of doing this Irene. I trust you”
“Oh my gosh, so..I’m the next in line to get pregnant” Irene thought nodding her head.
“Sure my queen. But I haven’t met this prince”
“Let me take you there”

Queen Anne and Irene walked to prince Fredrick room.
They got into the room and saw prince Fredrick drinking a cu-p of milk.
He was shaking, that was his nature. But he wasn’t born like that.
“My son” queen Anne called out.
Prince Fredrick turned and saw his mother and a young lady.
“Mooomm, you arrree heeerre” he stammered.

“Same thing that happened to Dad” Irene muttered.
Queen Anne heard Irene clearly.
“What did you say?”
“My father, he had the same issue as this. But he is well now”
“What do you mean well? I’ve gone almost everywhere in this world looking for the solution to this. I didn’t find”
“My mom went to her hometown, to her mother who is a medicine woman. She deals with herbal medicine”
“Where can I find it?” Queen Anne held Irene’s shoulder and shook her.
“I… I..nee-d to call my mom first if she still have some medicine” Irene said.
Queen Anne freed Irene from her grip.
“I’m sorry… plea-se call her at once”
Irene bowed and left the room.

“Hey Mom”
“My baby…when are you coming home? Josie told me everything”
“I’ll see you this afternoon mom, I nee-d something from you”
“What is it my love?”
“The medicine that was used to cure dad”
“Oh yeah, I brou-ght a lot of em..I’m gonna sell it to make money”
“How much are you selling it? It’s nee-ded in the palace…”

Irene returned back to the room.
“It’s available my queen. But it’s for sale”
“I don’t care how much it cost. I nee-d my baby back. How much is it?…”

Irene went to pick the girls at school.
She waited beside the car a little. Then she saw Zoe and Wren running together.
“I should be a life coach” she thought smiling to herself.
Then the girls ran and hvg Irene.
“I’m so happy that you girls are close”
“I’m more happier…” Wren said.
“I’m more happiest” Zoe said.
“Don’t say that…it’s an error..” Irene said jokingly.
Then the girls laughed.
As they drove to the house, Irene decided to tell Zoe the good news.
“Zoe?”
“Yes big sis”
“Mom and dad is back” Irene said.
Zoe st©pped what she was doing.
“Dad’s back?” She was looking sad.
“Calm down Zoe, he is all better now”
“I’ll believe it when I see it..” Zoe muttered and continue pla-ying with Wren.

When they got to the house, Irene and Zoe c@m£ down from the car.
“Wren wait in the car. We will be back soon”
“Can I come with you?… plea-se”
“Fine, come with us”

Zoe and Wren jumped into the house.
“Mommmm…” Irene and Wren went to hvg their mother.
“Ohh my pretty damsels…I missed you girls so much” she muttered.
“Miss you more mom” Irene said.

“I’ll be back with Mom, you girls stay right there” Irene said and went to the room.
“Dad?”
“Irene..Irene my princess” her father stood from the be-d and hvgged Irene.
“Ohh my, you look so big now” her father muttered.
“Yes Dad, I don’t have much time..I’ll see you later” Irene said and pu-ll-ed her mother to one corner.

“Mom, get re-ady to be rich. The queen gave me 50 million to buy all of the medicine”
Her mother eyes wi-de-ned.
“50…!!!”
“Shhh, mom..don’t make a noise. Give me the drug and tell me how to take it. Here is the cheque”
Her mother collected the cheque.
“You made me proud today”
“Ohh, come on Mom. I nee-d to hurry”

Irene’s mother gave Irene the medicine and told her the dosage and how to prepare it.

Wren and Irene drove to the palace.
“I wish I could have stayed there a little longer. I have to do my homework and sleep all throu-gh the day” Wren muttered looking sad.
“You can tell your mother than you want Zoe around”
“What??? I’m gonna do that. I don’t know If she would allow that”
“Try you best princess” Irene muttered.
“I love you Irene. You are like a sister to me” Wren said as they both walked into the palace hall.

The guards carried a box of medicine behind them.
“You can keep it there” Irene pointed to the kitchen.
“Let’s go Wren, you should take a bath”
After Wren had her bath, she ate and did her homework and of course, dozed off.

Irene went to the kitchen and ordered all the maids out of the kitchen.
She couldn’t trust anyone. No one would one the young prince well, so as not to compete with them for the throne. Especially the princes.

Irene boiled the medicine and sieved the jui-ce out of it.
She added tumeric powder and a little bit of lime.
Finally, she added ginger water and poured it into a cu-p.

She entered into prince Fredrick room and saw the queen with him.
“Here my prince. Drink it all”
“Ittt smmeells nniccee” he stammered.
“But it’s bitter and h0t. Be careful”
Prince Frederick stared at his mother.
“Drink it my love”
Prince Fredrick silently counted one, two three…
He gulped it down.
“Nice ” Irene collected the cu-p from him.
Very soon, the effect of the medicine started.
The prince started to shiver and a white foam was coming from his mouth.
“My baby…my prince” queen Anne shook her son.
“Calm down my queen”
“That’s the poison that he had taken…he will be stable soon” Irene tried to calm the queen.
“Okay, I’ll be calm” the queen said. But she was still doubting Irene.
After ten seconds, Fredrick bec@m£ stable. He was slee-ping alre-ady.
“He is no longer shaking…” Queen Anne said surprised.
“Yes my queen, he nee-ds much rest. If he takes this medicine for 2 good weeks. He will be okay”
“If it works, there will be a great reward for you and your family”
“Thank you my queen. Princess Wren will like to see you”
“I’ll go and check on her now…take care” the queen said and left the room.
Irene covered him with a blanket and left the room.

Irene got to her room after carefully hiding the medicine.
She went straight to the bathroom and had a full bath. Her hair was dripping we-t. Her skin was all glowing because of the Royal soap she had used.
She didn’t dry her hair before leaving the bathroom. She wra-pped herself with a short towel and went out of the bathroom.

As she opened the door of the bathroom and saw prince Leo in her room.
“Holy sh*t…what is he doing here?” Irene thought.
Leo stared at her like he was watching a movie.

Irene tried to run back to the bathroom. She was so shy standing halfway n-ked in front of a prince.
“What the fv¢k does he wants?” Irene thought.
“Are you gonna stand there or what?” Irene could hear his voice loudly.
Prince Leo could see the look in her eyes throu-gh her fallen we-t hair.
“What…do..you want? My prince” Irene stammered.
Prince Leo saw that she wasn’t complying.
He stood up and walked towards her.
Irene used her hands to hold her towel.
Prince Leo gently used his f!nger to feel her skin.
Irene stared at him and moved away from him.
“Meet me in the hall room in 10 minutes” prince Leo said and left the room.

Irene heart was pounding really ha-rd . She was scared.
“I thought he was here to sleep with me. Gosh…this palace isn’t safe at all” Irene murmured and dressed up.
After 10 minutes, she ran to meet up with prince Leo in the hall room.
“My prince…” Irene said and bowed.
Prince Leo stared at her.
“Thank goodness I’m not wearing any s£dûçt!vecloth” Irene thought
Irene wore a singlet, then wore a t©p on it. She added a long sleeve shi-t and finally put on a sweater.
Irene and prince Leo stared at each other.
“Why are you wearing a sweater?”
“I feel cold at night..” Irene lied.

“Fine, my mom, the queen asked me to join you in the arrangements for the p@rty. She said she gave to too much of duties and feel like she is imposing too much on you” prince leo said looking throu-gh a file.
Irene nodded.
“We will start the preparation tomorrow. The events planner will be coming to check the palace to know how they will decorate the palace. So as the caterers. I’ll be in charge of the caterers while you will be in charge of the event planner”
“Why can’t I be in charge of the caterers? I mean…”
“It’s gonna be a lady. And I know how to handle her” leo scoffed.
Irene blurted.
“Did you just…?” Leo asked
“Tomorrow right??” Irene swiftly interrupted.
“Yes, and dress pretty nice. Not in a sweater” prince leo said jokingly.

Irene turned to leave.
“Did I ask you to leave?”
Irene st©pped once she heard his voice.
“I apologise…my prince”
After waiting for 10 minutes doing nothing.
“You can now go…” Leo said.
Irene bowed and left.
“j£rk…” Irene muttered as she walked towards her room.

She got to her room and made sure she locked the door.
She took off her sweater, shi-t and t©p leaving the singlet.
“Arggghhh, so much work” she threw herself to the be-d and dozed off.
“I didn’t even ask what time” she said as she gr@bb£d her pillow.
Then there was a knock on the door.
“Ahhhhhh!!!!” She screamed into her pillow.

Irene walked staggeredly towards the door and opened it.
“You must not be late, it’s 9am in the morning”
Irene nodded.
“I thought you said you feel cold at night”
Irene realized she was wearing singlet and ban-ged the door in the prince face.
Then she opened it and shook her head outside the door.
“Goodnight my prince…”
She locked it back and went to sleep.

Morning….
Irene shabbily sle-pt on the be-d.
The sun has fully ris£n. She turned on the be-d from time to time enjoying the air conditioner in her special room.
“You must not be late, it’s 9am in the morning” the voice of prince Leo drove throu-gh her mind.
Irene suddenly sprung up and glared at her phone.

“Sh*t…”

Irene used her college method and got re-ady.
She brushed her teeth at the same time washing her hands and her leg.
She swiftly took a nice shi-t go-wn that revealed all the shape that God has given to her.
The t©p of her br£@st pop up a little.
Irene let her hair fell on her shoulders.
She swiftly put on a nûd£ color l!pgloss and left the room. As she took two steps, she realized she didn’t wore her shoe.
Then she went back inside….

Irene ran to meet prince leo in the hall room.
She slowly stood behind him.
“You are 5 minutes late…”
“I’m sorry my prince…I…I..” Irene stammered.
“You oversle-pt..” prince leo turned to look at her.
Irene lower her gaze.
Prince leo couldn’t get his eyes off her.
“Why are you a maid??” He thought.

“Good day my prince, they are here” a guard c@m£ in with a handsome guy and a beautiful lady.
They all shook hands with each other.
“Hi pretty, I’m Dave” the handsome man said to Irene as he shook hands with Irene.
“Hi, I’m Irene..” she said still shaking hands with Dave.
Prince Leo saw that they were still shaking hands looking at each other like love birds.

He quic-kly cleared his throat.
“Uhh, excuse us for a second..” prince leo dragged Irene to a corner and stood opposite her.
“Why are you staring at the guy like that?” He asked.
“Do you have a problem with that my prince?” Irene asked sm-irking.
“I mean…you ….are..”
Irene used her f!nger to feel his che-st jokingly.
“I know how to handle gentlemen..my prince. Leave that to me” Irene said almost in a whisper and left.
“She is really killing me…” Prince leo muttered and followed her behind.
