💠 ARJUN 💠
I stood up from my bed, I wanted to take a nap but it wasn’t flowing at all. My Spirit was troubled.
I was walking to the toilet, when I saw Akira at the side of the garden washing these hips of clothes.
“Who the fuc-k gave her so many clothes to wash with her ba-re hands when there are washing machines around the palace.” I said to myself.
I stared at her and I saw how stressed she looked. And just then Aaron son of Nikita came Into the picture and I saw him helping her spread the clothes.
He walked closer to her and she smiled widely, making me smile too.
“This isn’t fair. Who would do this to a new girl in the palace.” I thought walking out of my chamber.
I got out and I saw Princess Maya walking towards my chamber.
“Prince Arjun. Are you going somewhere?” She asked smiling and I nodded. I was still very pissed about Akira washing those clean looking clothes with her ba-re hands.
“I nee-d to see to something right now.” I said walking away from her. I hit the hallway down to the garden.
I couldn’t guess who would do this to her, but my instinct kept telling me it was all Niran’s plan to make her suffer since he is the only one she has offended.
But leaving a but… The clothes are that of a female. Then it dawned to me, only one female can be this cruel.
Katika. Trying to make her suffer for what she did to her husband to be.
In anger I walked to the garden, calling two Palace maids that were walking down the hallway with me.
I got to where Akira was and immediately she saw me, she stood up and made a bow. When Aaron saw me too, he did the same.
“Take the clothes to the washing machine.” I said to the maids that were with me and Akira rose up her head in fear.
“My Prince. I was given the order to wash these clothes without the machine. If I don’t obey, I will face the consequences my Prince.” She said fearfully.
“I am the Prince of Medan, and I order you to pack these clothes to the washing machine now!” I said and she ladies packed the clothes and left.
I looked at Akira and I saw how restless she was.
“Excuse us Aaron.” I said without looking at him. He gave another bow and he walked away.
“Look here Akira. No one has the right to order you around except your master, which I suppose is my sister Hana.”
“You take orders from only the king and queen, and I don’t think they would give you orders when they have their maids.”
“The only maids open to things like these are the ones I called, because they have no master, they are the palace maids.”
“So know where you stand. And stop letting them afflict unnecessary pain on you because you are special and they are jealous.” I said to her and she stared right into my eyes.
“Akira even in this palace, though you can’t speak up for yourself, let me know. Tell me anything you think is not right. I will stand for you, for anyone maltreated here.” I said and I saw her beautiful smile once again.
“That’s so kind of you Prince Arjun.” She said smiling and I nodded smiling too.
“If Princess Katika come to you after I meet her now, tell her I ordered the maids and you couldn’t stop them because I threatened them. Okay?” I stated and she nodded with that smile still on her face.
“Thank you my Prince.” She said and I smiled. We stared at each other until a voice interrupted.
“Prince Arjun?” I heard Maya call and I turned my head to look at her.
“You can go now.” I said putting on a straight face and she nodded killing the smile on her face too. She walked away with her head bowed.
“You two seem to get along.” She said looking kinda pissed.
“C’mon Maya, get along?? With a Maid?? That’s hilarious.” I said smiling.
“You were smiling at each other. I saw you two.” She insisted getting me angry.
“I smiling doesn’t mean we get along. Or is a crime to smile in my own Palace?” I asked and she shook her head.
“It’s no crime, but it’s a crime for her to smile back and stare into your eyes.” She muttered.
“Look here. I don’t want any of these maids to see me as a wicked god. So I do everything to make sure I am cool with all of them. At least they nee-d to know that one of the royals care about them.”
“So I can let them look at me in the face if I want. I am no monster nor god.” I stated and she smiled nodding.
“I un-derstand you. Lunch would be ready soon, let’s go prepare.” She said and I smiled giving her my hand and we walked away from the garden.
We walked down the hallway and I saw Aaron and Akira coming towards our direction. Opposite us.
Our eyes met and we stared at each other as we walked. I wanted to smile, but then I remembered I was with Maya, so I kept a straight face.
She looked away too as soon as Maya looked at her. They bowed their heads and walked away.
⭕ AKIRA ⭕
“The lunch would be served soon. We nee-d to get to the kitchen.” I said and then Aaron stopped me holding my hand.
“Before then, you haven’t told me what you and Prince Arjun discussed.” He said and I heaved.
“It’s nothing serious.” I said smiling.
“Why do I feel you are lying to me?” He asked and I shook my head.
“Why would I lie to you? He helped me get rid of the heaps of clothes, and told me that I should tell Princess Katika that he was the one that dismissed me.” I said and he nodded.
“Okay, but you nee-d to be careful. You can’t trust the Royals.” He said and I sighed.
“I know. But Prince Arjun is nice to me. He isn’t like any of them.” I stated and he smiled.
“If you say so. I just don’t want you putting your life at risk.” He said and I held his hand.
“I will be fine.” I said and he smiled.
“Hey you. Are you done with the clothes?” I heard Princess Katika say as she approached us. She had maids and guards following her around.
“Prince Arjun dismissed me. He asked some palace maids to pack them and use the machine.”
“I couldn’t stop them because he threatened them. So they did it and he asked me to leave.” I stated with my head bowed.
“Why would he do that without telling me?? And did I dismiss you before you left?” She asked angrily.
“Because I have the right to, and because I asked her to.” Prince Arjun answered from behind us and I looked back to see him approach us.
“Prince Arjun, I nee-ded her to do that work alone.” She said and he walked right in front of her.
“She isn’t your maid, you could have asked one of the Palace maids. She nee-ded to help my sister too. And as her master, she nee-ded to answer to her.”
“So next time,use the palace maids. They can be used by anyone. And for the use of hands to wash clothes, that isn’t necessary. There are washing machines everywhere around the palace.” He muttered and she nodded speechlessly.
“Fine.” She said and began to walk away. Aaron looked at him speechlessly and I turned to look at him too.
“Thank you.” I said happily. It was so relieving to know someone can stand up for you around here.
“You should go now. Nikita is asking of you. She is in the kitchen.” He said and I nodded.
I turned to walk away when he spoke up again.
“Just ignore the Princess.” He added and I looked at him and smiled. I bowed my head and walked away with Aaron.
“That was so… Nice of the prince.” Aaron said and I nodded.
“Now you see he Is way different from the rest.” I said happily and he nodded.
We walked to the kitchen and then we saw the maids were very busy already.
“Hey.” I heard another person call and I looked back to see Princess Maya.
“Come here.” She said angrily and my heart skipped.
“What did I do this time? For crying out loud! I’m not the only one here.” I yelled in my mind looking at Mei and Vanna before walking out again.

⛔ NIRAN ⛔
I sat at the dinning table, alongside with Katika who was looking pissed.
“Are you alright?” I whispered to her as the remaining family joined the table.
“Your brother Prince Arjun released Akira of the punishment I gave her. Without even telling me. He even said I was wrong right in front of her.” She said angrily and I got pissed.
“Why would he do something like that?” I asked and she shrugged her shoulders.
“I don’t know. He should be the one answering that.” She said looking away, and I saw Arjun walking to the table with Hana.
“Where is my sister?” She asked looking around.
“I am here Sister.” Maya replied grinning and I furrowed my brows wondering why she looked so Happy.
The maids began to troop in with trays of different dishes in their hands. They began to serve us while I just stared at them as they did.
“So you wouldn’t say anything to your brother?” Katika asked and I sighed.
“What was the punishment anyways?” I asked looking at her.
“I asked her to wash all my clothes without the use of the machine.” She said and I looked at Arjun who was discussing with Hana.
“And then Arjun interrupted and stopped her right??” I asked and she nodded.
“He even said things to me right in front of her. It’s so annoying, and I did this because of you. So you nee-d to do something.” She said and Hana looked at her from the end of the table.
“I will.” I said as the maid dropped the food in front of me.
I saw Arjun looking around, and then I noticed Akira wasn’t among the maids.
“What did you do?” I asked Katika and she shook her head.
“I did nothing. What are you taking about?” She asked and I looked at Maya.
“Akira is not here.” I said and then she looked around too.
“That’s true. Maya…” She called and she looked at her.
“What? Why are you all looking at me? I didn’t do anything.” She muttered.
“I know that look, and I know you did something. But thank you for doing it.” Katika said and Maya smiled.
“You are welcome. And you too Prince Niran. You are highly welcome.” She stated and I looked at Arjun.
“Looking for someone not worth it?” I asked and he looked at me.
“Stay out of this Brother.” He said coldly.
“Looks like you are giving this slave some special attention, I don’t seem to un-derstand!” I said in a loud voice that made Father and mother look at us.
“What Is going on here!” Father smacked and I saw him swallow ha-rd.
“Nothing. The brothers are just having some minor talks.” Hana answered before I could say anything.
“I want Silence! Do we un-derstand.” He smacked and we all kept shut.
Arjun stared at me angrily, and I returned the looks with a smrik.
Hana actually saved his a*s, and that of that slave. Hana looked at me and gave me this disgusted look.
I don’t actually care what they think about me. I owe nobody my attitude.
💠 ARJUN 💠
After what Niran did, I knew he certainly knows something about Akira’s absence. I stood up and walked out of the dinning area.
I walked down the hallway and I began to look for Akira. I knew I shouldn’t let anyone know I was searching for her.
And calling out her name is another problem.
It then dropped In my head that I should ask Nikita about her whereabouts, since she is the one responsible for them now.
I walked to the kitchen, and then I sighted her busy with the other maids. There was also Vanna and Mei.
“I nee-d to speak to you Nikita.” I said and walked out of the kitchen. She followed immediately and I turned to look at her after moving far away from the kitchen.
“My Prince.” She said bowing her head.
“Where is Akira? I didn’t see her at the dinning table with the other ladies.” I said worriedly.
“She.. she was called by Princess Maya few minutes before we started serving.” She stated she I grew angry.
“How dare her.” I muttered in anger.
“I am sure she is fine my Prince. She is probably helping the Princess out.” She explained.
“Do you know where she took her?” I asked and she shook her head.
“I don’t know my Prince.” She replied .
“And you don’t know who must have seen her?” I asked again and she shook her head.
“Thank you. You can go. But know this, she is your responsibility so you should know everything about her.” I said.
“I am sorry my Prince.” She pleaded.
“I un-derstand you were busy, but this shouldn’t happen anymore. Go back to the kitchen, I will look for her.” I said.
“I should be the one doing that my Prince. I will look for her, please go and eat.” She said calmly.
“I don’t take orders from you Nikita. Do as I say, go to the Kitchen and keep on working. I will search for Akira.” I said and she gave another bow before walking away.
I began to walk down the hallway again, not knowing exactly where to go or where to find her.
Poor girl, I wish she never came into this Palace in the first place. And now she is here, I will make sure she doesn’t suffer.
I sighted Aaron meters away from me. He looked restless and I perceived he knew something about Akira.
“Aaron.” I called and as soon as he saw me, he ran towards me with his head bowed.
“My Prince.” He said pa-nting.
“What Is it Aaron?” I asked feeling scared too,but I kept a straight face.
“It’s Akira. When Princess Maya called her, I happened to be close by. She hit Akira severally on the face and then locked her in that room.”
“She gave the keys to the guards and told them not to open it up for anyone. I pleaded and pleaded but they didn’t even act like I was talking to the at all.” He explained as I stared at the room he pointed at.
“Calm down.” I said walked to where the guards were. Immediately they saw me, they gave their bows.
“Give me the keys.” I said and they released them immediately without saying a word .
“Wait here.” I said to Aaron, and I ordered the men to open up the door.
They opened it, and I saw the room lights were off, making it look dark. I looked for the switch and turned it on.
I saw Akira at the middle of the room, lying down with her face turned to the ground. She was sobbing.
“Akira.” I called and she rose up her head to look at me immediately.
“Prince Arjun.” She said bowing her head. I walked up to her, I bent in front of her and I raised her head to see bruises all over her face.
“Why did she do this to you?” I asked in anger.
“She said because of you. And if she sees me with you, she would do the same thing again.” She said and I sighed shutting my eyes.
“She would regret this!” I said within gritted teeth standing up and she held my hand back.
“Please don’t go to her. Please.” She said and I looked at her hand that was on mine. It was warm and soft.
“Akira she has to pay for what she did to you.” I said and she shook her head.
“Royals don’t pay for what they do to slaves. She has every right to do this to a slave. That is what we are slaves. Going to her will worsen the situation and she will hurt me the more.” She said in tears.
“You are no slave to me or her, or anyone. Hana is your master and she would never treat you like a slave but a friend. This isn’t acceptable.” I said hating the way she looked.
“All she wants is for you to hate me. And that shouldn’t be ha-rd.” She stated.
“I am not hating you and you are not staying away from me. I would never let anything bad happen to you. I promise, this is the last time.” I said pulling her into a hu-g and she weeped on my shoulders.
“Come on. You nee-d to get out of here.” I said pulling her up.
“What if she comes back for me and doesn’t find me here. She would punish me.” She said sadly.
“I will be there to stop her. Anytime, just call me, I would be there to defend you.” I said and she stared right into my eyes.
I stared back and then quickly looked away.
“Aaron is waiting to take you to you room.” I said and she nodded. I let go of her so she could walk, and then I noticed she was leaping.
“I sprang my foot.” She said as soon as she noticed I was looking at her leg.
I sighed and held her by her wai-st side helping her out of the room.
