After bathing, we both walked to the bedroom holding hands. It was like a dream come true for me.
But it was still so ha-rd to believe that Princess Katika would stoop so low to date someone like me, when there are many other ladies at higher rank out there.
“What are you thinking about?” Katika asked wrapping her hands around my wai-st from behind.
“Nothing.” I lied smiling.
“It’s obvious you are lying Mei. Tell me.” She said walking to my front pouting her mouth like a baby.
“Why me?” I asked and she smiled shrugging her shoulders.
“I don’t know. I just like you. Or is it a crime to like you?” She asked and I shook my head.
“No, not that. I mean I am not even in the same Status as you. I am an ex-slave and it’s kinda amazing you picked interest in me. Just like that.” I said and she laughed softly cu-pping my face in her hands.
“I don’t care who you are or where you are from. I love you and that’s it.” She said and I smiled.
“Thank you Katika. I love you too.” I said and she nodded giving me a peck on the li-ps.
“You will be living here as from now on. I know you don’t have a place to stay, so don’t stay no. I want to wake up every morning to see you by my side.” She said wrapping her hands around my ne-ck and I held her by the wai-st.
“I would love to stay here with you too.” I replied and she smiled.
“So it’s done. Forget about your clothing, I would get that sorted out.” She said and I nodded.
“What of Maya? Won’t you go talk to her? She looks really pissed and that’s not good when it comes to Maya.” I said and she scoffed.
“Do you want me to talk to her?” She asked and I nodded.
“I don’t want you to live in enimity with your sister. It won’t be good.” I said and she smiled widely.
“That’s so sweet of you. I would do just that.” She said and I smiled.
“Yes. So…” I said sitting on the bed.
“Won’t you miss your friends? Won’t they think you are a bad person for being with someone like me?” She asked and I sighed knowing the answer to it all is a yes.
“It’s a yes for the two. I just want them to know I have nothing against them.” I said with a sad face.
“And are you sure they won’t have anything against us? If not you, me.” She said and I shook my head.
“I don’t know Katika.” I replied.
“The only way for us to know is if you keep an eye out.” She said and I furrowed my brows.
“How?” I asked.
“You can pretend to go back to them, and any of their plans you feed them back to me. You don’t want me dead do you?” She asked and I shook my head.
“No one is dying.” I Stated and she nodded.
“There’s only one way to be sure. And that’s if you act as a spy amongst them.” She said and I looked at her.

I sat on the bed still thinking about what Maya told us. I don’t think Mei would betray us again, she was truly sorry the last time.
“Are you still thinking about Mei?” Arjun asked walking into the room.
“I can’t stop thinking about it Arjun. What if Maya is saying the truth?” She asked looking at me.
“And what if she isn’t?” He asked and I sighed loudly.
“I don’t know Arjun. I don’t know.” I said feeling so down.
“Akira, this isn’t good for our baby okay? Leave the thinking to me. I would sort it out. Everything will be okay.” He said and I nodded slowly.
“I hope so. I don’t know how I would react if I know Mei is planning something against us with Katika.” I stated and he hu-gged me.
“Like i said, don’t think about it. I would take care of it.” He said and suddenly, there came a knock on the door.
“Who is it?” Arjun asked.
“It’s Mei.” She responded and my eyes wide-ned.
“She came back?” I thought remembering what Maya said.

“Please eat up Aaron,you nee-d the strength.” I said pas-sing the spoon of rice to him .
He opened his eyes two days ago, and since then I have been with him, taking care of him.
His mother has been with the queen, taking care of her. I must say she is a very loyal servant.
I told Aaron everything that happened from the beginning till the present time.
“I don’t have appetite Hana. You have been feeding me non-stop for two days now. I am tired of eating.” He said and I smiled.
“I just want you to get your strength back as soon as possible. I can’t wait for you to be very okay.” I said and he smiled.
“Thank you Hana.” He said and I smiled.
“You don’t have to thank me. You went back to get me and that was when you got shot. You took those bullets because of me, this is the least I can do.” I said and he smiled.
“So we can be together now? Your father isn’t king anymore.” He said and I nodded happily.
“Arjun is happy with Akira, Niran with Vanna and then…” I stated and paused shyly.
“Aaron and Hana.” He said and I laughed softly.
“Yes. Aaron and Hana.” I replied and he took my hand in his.
“Marry me Hana.” He said and my eyes wide-ned and my mouth dropped open.

Akira and I starred at the door for minutes, not knowing actually what to do.
“We should hear what she has to say,” Akira said and I bobbed.
“Okay,” I retorted and walked up to the door.
I opened up and met Mei standing right in front of the door.
“Mei, you came back,” I said with a fake smile on my face.
“I nee-d to talk to you.” She said catching my attention even more.
“Okay? Are you good?” I asked and she bobbed.
I looked at Akira, who sprang to her feet after hearing what Mei said.
“I am coming too.” She said and Mei looked at her.
“I never knew you were there.” She stated and Akira nodded.
“I just came.” She replied and Mei smiled faintly.
“So what is it you want to talk to me about?” I asked eagerly.
“It’s about Katika,” Mei said and Akira and I exchanged glances.
“What’s up with her?” Akira inquired.
“She wants me to spy on you guys.” She replied and I looked at Akira again.
“So she won’t help her.” I as-sumed.
“How did she manage to give you the task? You didn’t go there, did you?” I asked with a furrowed brow.
“I never planned to go there, until she called me throu-ghher window, as soon as she sp-otted me. I went to her and it happened she wants me to be her lover.” She explained and I sighed.
“So don’t you want to be her lover?” I further inquired.
“I can’t be her true love if she wants me to betray you all the second time. I would never do that.” She said and I felt so happy hearing it from her. Now we have an Allie.
“So you are on our side?” Akira asked and she nodded.
“Always.” She responded and we smiled.
“What is going on in the palace presently?” I asked pretending not to know about the fight between Maya and Katika. I wanted to know if we could trust her.
“Maya and Katika are not on good terms presently. So I can use that against them.” She declared and I looked at Akira.
“She is saying the truth,” Akira said.
“Hold on. Do you think I am lying?” Mei asked.
“It’s not what you think Mei. Maya dropped by earlier, telling us you have an affair with Katika and she would use it against us.” I explained and her eyes broadened.
“So that was her revenge plan on Katika.” She said and we nodded.
“She wants to help us get back the throne, to make her suffer,” I said and she scoffed.
“Do you think she can be trusted?” She asked and we shook our heads.
“No, and if at all she can be. We don’t nee-d her help anymore, since you came out clean with us.” Akira said and Mei smiled.
“I won’t hurt you the second time Akira. I promised myself that.” Mei said and Akira glared at her with a smile on her face.
“I should excuse you two,” I said and I stepped out of the room. You know, to give them the time to do girls talk.

“You don’t know how happy I am to see you came out clean with us,” I said clasping her hand and pulling her with me to the bed.
We sat and she smiled bowing her head shyly.
“I can’t just turn my back on you Akira. I made a mistake before, I would never do it again because I will always love you Akira.” She said with her head still stooped.
I smiled at the statement she made, though I felt hurt that I couldn’t love her back the way she wants it. It’s always painful.
“At least, if I can’t love you the way you crave, I can give this to you,” I said holding her dace with my palm and turning her face to me.
She looked at me as I leaned forward and planted a soft ki-ss on her li-ps. She returned immediately holding my head in her hand.
I didn’t feel irritated, because I did want to ki-ss her badly. At least that would soothe the pain of me not loving her back.
I disentangled from the ki-ss, and we starred into the eyes of each other.
“I nee-ded that badly.” She whispered breathing out with her mouth, and I felt her breath on me making me shut my eyes.
“I am pregnant Mei,” I said without thinking.
“What?” She asked moving her head back a little and staring at my belly, which was a little bit large.
“Yes,” I said smiling and she laughed softly.
“Oh my… This is great news!” She said placing her hand on my belly and I bobbed in the process.
“It is,” I responded loving the reaction I got from her.
After few minutes of smiling at my belly, she stood up.
“I nee-d to head back now. I nee-d to show Katika I am on her side.” She said and I nodded.
“Okay. Goodbye.” I said and she leaned forward and ki-ssed my forehead before walking out of the room.

I sighed loudly as I got to Maya’s door. I hope this goes well.
I knocked on her door and I heard no response from behind it.
“Isn’t she home?” I questioned myself turning the doorknob to see the door wasn’t locked after all.
I opened the door slowly and I peeped into the room to see Maya sitting on her bed. She looked lost in emotion.
“Maya,” I called calmly, and immediately she saw me, I saw anger written all over her face.
“What do you want? I didn’t ask you in.” She said.
“And you didn’t send me away either,” I said approaching her.
“Go away. I don’t want to talk to you.” She said and I flung my hands in the air tiredly.
“I am sorry okay? I know I hurting you by acting carelessly about Kaleb’s death. I am so sorry Maya.” I said and she stared at me speechless.
“Say something okay? I know you are hurt and I shouldn’t have acted that way. I am de-eply sorry. We are sisters Maya and we should be against each other. We should be for each other.” I said and she scoffed.
“You should have thought of that before.” She said and I nodded.
“I know and I am sorry. Forgive me, please.” I pleaded and she sighed.
“He never liked me back.” She said and I looked t her sadly.
“He would have hurt you,” I said hoping she would forgive me.
“Where is your newly found love?” She asked and I smiled widely.
“You love her don’t you?” She asked and I nodded shyly.
“I sent her to spy on King Maeko’s people. I nee-d to be ahead of them.” I replied.
“Do you trust her?” She asked and I shook my head.
“I don’t. I love her but don’t trust her when it comes to Akira.” I stated.
“So why are you sending her there?” She asked.
“Because I have a plan B which I don’t want her to know about,” I said and she narrowed her gaze.
“Which is?” She asked anxiously.
“The only way to stop all the drama. Killing them all.” I said and Maya’s eyes wide-ned.
