EPISODE 78

“You’ve got to be kidding man. Seriously?” Phil asked with incredulity and dissappointment in his eyes, ma-king Jake confused. He didn’t un-derstand the reason or the nee-d for Phil’s out bur-st.

“I don’t un-derstand you” Jake said. He was utterly confused. Phil continued to look at him incredulously. Jake was in de-ep $h!t if this was what he thought it is.

Phil continued to look at Jake, his eyes staring intently at him, ma-king Jake to intense his gaze at him also.

“Starting a conversation with ‘there’s this girl’ most especially with that look on your face is the beginning of your downfall in life. Don’t you know this?” Phil stated, glaring at Jake.

“I don’t un-derstand” Jake told him.

“So let me help you out. I’ll help you an-alyze this then you’ll un-derstand. So you met a girl, she must be beautiful and S-xy” He paused, while Jake nodded.

“Let me guess you straffed her, and she was good. The S-x was blessed and divine and your little man didn’t get enough, now you want more” He raised a brow to Jake who was paying ra-pt attention to him. Seeing Jake wasn’t refuting him or showing any sigh of denial he sighed and continued.

“Now you can’t get her off your che-st, off your mind. You try thinking of something, but she’s all you think about. You find yourself doing crazy things just to plea-se her and make her happy. It’s like you want more and more of her daily and the feeling is getting frustrating because you can’t describe or label the feeling? ” He paused again. He watched as Jake hissed and poured himself another glas-s, chvgging it down his throat in sheer frustration.

Jake thought about all the things he has done since he met Jade. Beginning from the lie about the game, to the stunt he pu-ll-ed at the hospital, to the fear he felt when he had to apologize, he thought about the fishing trip, even the cooking thing he had done hours ago. He thought about everything, and he shuddered.

Phil hissed after seeing Jake’s reaction, “Believe me man, you’re doomed” Phil hissed again and lolled himself on the sofa.

“You know what this means right?” Phil asked in his own frustration. He wasn’t liking this at all.

Jake sighed and lolled himself on the couch too, he threw his head back, his eyes staring at the ceiling, he hissed, “I like her” He scoffed to his own dismay. He couldn’t believe this was happening.

“That’s more than like! Like is when you fv¢k her and she’s damn good and you make her your call girl. Not when you’re spending all your time thinking about her and how to plea-se her. You’re falling in love man, you fv¢king are!”

“Damn it Jake. What happened? You were not supposed to do that. That’s against the rules. You don’t forget the rules and go like or fall in love with some girl” Phil snapped again. He took de-ep breaths to calm himself down. “Man you fv¢ked up”

Jake had his eyes closed, he couldn’t believe this was happening to him. Him liking someone or falling in love? What the hell happened? How did he get here?

He sat up right and raked his hand throu-gh his hair, pu-lling at the root of his hair. How was this even possible?

“This is bad” Jake was slowly freaking out.

“fv¢king bad” Phil resounded.

“What do I do now? I haven’t been in this type of situation before. Man I’m freaking out” Jake said. He was slowly becoming nervous. The realization of his feelings was scaring the $h!t out of him.

“What to do?” Phil asked repetitively. “You’ve got to forget about her.” Phil said, ma-king Jake snap his head towards him with a frown subconsciously etched on his face.

‘Forget about his Jade? Was that even an option? Was it even possible?’ Especially after realizing his feelings? He didn’t think so.

Phil observed the look Jake was giving him. “Believe me man it’s for your own good. She isn’t good for you. She’ll become the death of you. Do you want to join Dan’s club? Dan is now a freaking married man, living a frustrated life on a daily basis. Do you want to become like him?” He asked with a frown.

“It seems you don’t know what this means. I’ll help you an-alyze again. Being in love means d@t!ng, and d@t!ngmeans being committed to one woman, and that means marriage, and that means no more clubbing, drinking and random fv¢king. You get to be a baby sitter, not just for the baby, but the mother, you get to carry shopping bags, you get to go home on time, you get to fv¢k just one woman all your life and believe me it’s boring and annoying. Oh and then, there’s that monthly time when she gets her monthly flow and she’d be in pain and you’ll get to care for her, and there will be no hole for you to drill, you’ll eventually die of blue ba-lls by the time she’s done. Jake that’ll become your horrible life experience. You’ll die man. You’ll fv¢king die!!” Phil rambled dramatically like a lunatic. He couldn’t believe Jake was going to join the other club of d@t!ngand married people. He wasn’t going to let that happen. Jake wasn’t going to leave them just like stupid Dan did.

Jake didn’t know why all these things which Phil has just labelled horrible sounded so cool to his ears. He had a urge to do all this things for Jade, but that also scared him.

“But what’s so bad in doing that?” Jake asked in a gentle voice, like he was de-eply contemplating them.

“Don’t tell me you’re thinking about it? That’s a death s£ntence.” Phil snapped again. He wasn’t going to get tired of doing this all night, at least not until Jake c@m£ back to his s-en-ses.

“I should have believed Leo when he mentioned you were going to st©p hanging out with us soon” Phil never believed his brother Leo, when he told him how Jake had come to the hospital to trick a girl. Leo was his elder brother.

“He told you?” Jake c0cked a brow at him.

“Of course” Phil replied, ma-king Jake snicker.

“So much for confidentiality” At least that was what Leo promised him.

“That’s your problem not mine”

“So what do I do now?” Jake turned to Phil and asked.

“You get la-id” Phil replied firmly, surprising Jake, his brows shooting up in shock.

“What?” Jake wasn’t expecting that. How was getting la-id going to help him?

“Yes, you nee-d to get la-id. You nee-d to sink de-ep into some v@g!n@ s and I volunteer to provide you some. You’re going to nee-d a harem of women and you’re going to straff till you get exhausted and you can think of nothing else.” Phil declared.

“That’s stupid” Jake poured himself another glas-s.

“That’s not stupid. Wait, when was the last time you had S-x?” Phil curiously asked.

Jake’s hand which was raising a glas-s to hisl-ips abruptly paused. He went silent as he thought about it.

“Since that girl you brou-ght. The one with a weird smile” Jake replied.

“You mean my cousins friend Ste…” He tried remembering her name.

“Who cares what her name is? But that’s almost two months!” Phil stated dramatically.

Jake chuckled when he realized Phil was right. He hasn’t felt the t©uçh of a woman for that long and he didn’t even notice. It has indeed been too long. The highest record of abstinence he has had was one week, no wait! make that six days, because he had met Jade on that seventh night. He was trying to curb his appetite until Jade showed up at the club, totally breaking his resolution of revir-ginizing himself.

“So?” Jake asked finally taking a sip from his drink.

“So you nee-d to get la-id. Enough S-x will relieve you of all this stress and you’ll forget about that evil girl…”

“Hey watch your mouth” Jake warned, startling Phil. He stared at Jake with disbelief. Jake was changing.

When has calling a girl evil began to rile him? Phil sighed when he realized he shouldn’t have said that. Jake was enamored by her, hence he won’t appreciate an insult.

“I’m sorry. But you know I’m just looking out for you. This is so unlike you. You’ve changed and this change is freaking me out. I’m sure it’ll freak the others even more” Phil said, lolling himself back on the sofa.

“I swear I’m freaking out too” Jake sighed and joined him. “I’m doomed aren’t I?” Jake asked, his eyes glued to the ceiling.

“You sure are” Phil answered, ma-king Jake bur-st out in laughter and Phil joined in too.

“Jake Beau, the infamous and notorious pla-yboy, finally got hooked” Phil said out in a slow tone.

“I finally got tamed by a little devil” He chuckled.

“Is she beautiful?” Phil asked.

“Madly beautiful” Jake responded.

“li-ps?”

“Soft”

“Eyes?”

“Enchanting”

“Curves”

“To die for”

“Legs?”

“Killer model”

“S-x?”

“Shut up!” Jake scowled at him.

“You’re dead man. She’s got you hooked”
________

*WALKER’S MANSION*

Amy sauntered into the house after the close of work. It was alre-ady Tuesday, and that’s an extra twenty four hours outside the sti-pulated fourty eight hour she had given her mother to provide Michael. It was high time her mother made her decision.
Provide Michael or she leaves?

Mrs Walker and her husband were sitted in the sitting room watching the news headlines when Amy walked him.

“Good evening Dad” Amy greeted her father, her face void of any smile. She hasn’t been able to let out a smile since the grand ex-posé.

“Good evening princess. How was your day?” He asked.

“Fine” Amy replied.

“You look exhausted. Go freshen up and come down to eat something okay?”

“Dad thanks, but I’m not hungry” Amy replied. Mr Walker didn’t believe her. Looking at her, it was damn obvious she had lost some weight recently and it wasn’t because she wasn’t hungry, but because she couldn’t bring herself to eat most especially at home.

“Amy you shouldn’t starve yourself. All this things will resolve themselves. But you nee-d food to provide you energy” Mr Walker told her.

Amy sighed as she looked at her mother for a second, “Sometimes the discomfort in your own home, can take whatever appetite you tend to have” She said with a cold tone. Obviously she was referring to her mother.

The fact that her mother wasn’t taking the matter or even her threat seriously, made her to some how dislike the woman who had birthed her. She has always known her mother was shrewd, egoistic and stubborn. But what she didn’t expect was for her mother to be evil.

Mr Walker looked at his wife and sighed out loudly before returning his gaze back to his daughter.

“Alright, you can go in” He gestured to her with his hand.

“Okay” Amy gave one last look to her mother, and for some reason her temper rose. Her mother’s silence was putting her on an edge. She was re-ady to snap at her, but she refrained herself. No matter how bad her mother was, that didn’t give her the room to disrespect her.

She was going to ask her mother what was her decision, but inside of her she alre-ady knew the answer to that, and somehow had a foreboding about how that conversation was going to be.

Amy had only taken a few step past her mother, when her voice c@m£ roaring from behind her.

“St©p there, young lady” Mrs Walker spoke in a cold and stern tone, as she rose up to her feet. Her husband’s eyes darted towards her with a menancing glare which Mrs Walker noticed when their eyes met, but she wasn’t bothered by it. He could glare at her all he wants.

Amy stood still with her back facing her mother. She closed her eyes briefly for a second as she mentally prepared herself for this confronting battle.

“When I’m talking you look at me, and show some respect!” Mrs Walker roared.

Amy let out a derisive scoff as she turned to face her mother. “Mother you seem to have forgotten that respect is earned and it goes both ways. It is reciprocal! You don’t just demand it, you show it and others equally return the favour” Amy replied dourly.

“Don’t be rude!”

“And st©p being overbearing” Amy retorted.

Mrs Walker was surprised with Amy’s attitude. “Amy I didn’t teach you to be rude. Are you going to keep acting this way because of some peasant and his poverty stricken family? Did you really think you would have been happy with such a boy? I know those type of people they’re nothing but gold diggers. I meet their kind in my court room, clinging to other people’s fortune, and I did what was best for you, because I know what’s best for you” Mrs Walker said slowly increasing her tone at every word.

“Really? You do?” Amy asked in a disbeliving tone. She doubted her mother had any idea about what was good for any of her children.

“Yes I do. I’m your mother and I have every right to make decisions for you, so st©p giving those God forsaken and irritating attitudes. Instead of spending so much energy on throwing tantrums, why don’t you spend it on developing a relationsh!pwith Ethan. Though he might have been a loud mouth, he’s still preferrable than that loser who I pray should be dead somewhere in the mountains, and he’s the man I have chos£n for you” Mrs Walker told her.

” Vivien!” Her husband snapped, but Mrs Walker was unfazed by it.

Amy could feel her blood boil as she laughed sardonically, she couldn’t believe her mother right now, “Chos£n for me? And why would you wish death on someones child mother?” Amy asked angrily, her tone highly irritated.

“Because I can” She replied.

Amy retrieved her step from the stairs as she covered the space between them. She squared her gaze to her mother and Mrs Walker could see the anger flashing in her eyes.

“Mother where is Michael?” Amy asked in a deadpan tone, her gaze on her mother were fire blazing and menancing. She was losing her mind.

“In Jail!” Mrs Walker replied curtly. Amy stiffened at her mother’s reply, she slightly shook her head in denial.

She didn’t want to believe her mother could be that cruel. There was no way…

“Why do you look so shocked?” Mrs Walker scoffed at her daughter’s expression. “I thought you were so keen on finding him, now you know. So what now?” She asked in a daring tone.

“Vivien”

“Mother!”

c@m£ the voices of both Lair and his father. Suprise and disbelief were clearly written on all their faces. They didn’t think they’ve heard right. Mostly Mr Walker who was now standing on his feet as he stared at his wife back.

He couldn’t believe what she said was true, but knowing his wife and what she was capable of, he knew what she had just said was the truth. Lair has just returned, only to hear his mother drop that bomb shell.

Amy looked as if her blood has been drained as she suddenly bec@m£ pale white, her eyes were void of any emotion but they were fixed on her mother. Her voice chord sudden felt like it was paralysed and words couldn’t come out of it, or maybe it was her br@in that has gone on a shut down.

Lair who has become furious after hearing his mother unrepentant confession and was on the verge of lashing at her, couldn’t help but noticed his sister expression. It seems she was becoming catatonic, giving the time that has pas-sed as she remained unresponsive.

He dropped his bag on the floor and dashed closer to Amy. As soon as his arm t©uçhed Amy, she coll@psed in his hands, completely staring every one of them, including their mother.

“Amy!” They all echoed with fear.
***************

Jake has been sitting in his car since he drove into the mansion. After his chat with Phil, he was yet to accept this new development, that he might or rather that he was in love with Jade.

He was lost on what to do. How to go about this so called love feeling. He has never been in love and in all honesty he has always loathed that word ‘LOVE’. His reasons were unknown. But now that he was, it was really scaring the $h!t out of him.

So what now? After realizing his feelings, what should he do now? Tell her? Or what?

What if he tells her and she doesn’t feel the same way as he does? What would he do then? What if he tells her and it scares her away?

Jake leaned back on his seat as he pondered on all this thoughts going throu-gh his mind. A knock on the window jo-lted him back to reality.

He turned to look at the window to see his grandfather standing there, signaling him to open the door, and Jake did exactly that.

“You don’t want to sleep here do you?” Grandfather Beau asked as he climbe-d into the pas-s£ngers seat.

“Good evening Grandfather” Jake greeted as he stared at his grandfather.

“My evening is good, but you don’t look like you’re having one yourself” Grandfather Beau said, as he looked at Jake with concern. Jake has been sitting in his car for the last 1hour without stepping into the house. He was sure something was eating him up again just like the last time in his study.

“Maybe…maybe not” He sighed. “I don’t know”. Yes, he doesn’t know if he should be happy after finding out exactly how he felt towards Jade or if he should be scared. So he didn’t know if the evening was a good one.

“Offended your friend again?” Grandfather Beau asked, his gaze closely observing Jake.

Jake turned to look at him and he sighed. “No, I think I might have done something worse” He leaned his head back on the chair, his gaze focused ahead.

“Like what?”

“Like falling in love with her”
