“You know you look handsome right?” Jade asked as she brushed his hair backward with her hand.
With a sm-irk on his face, Jake replied, “Isn’t that the reason why you fell for me in the first place” making Jade chuckle.
“You’re just a narcissist” She pla-yfully sma-ck ed his arm.
Jake put his hand on her wa-ist and leaned upward to peck her li-ps.
“Yeah, I know but you still love me anyway,” He chuckled.
Jade pec-ked his li-ps back before resuming what she was doing with his hair. She gazed at him for a while and sighed, her expression suddenly turning serious.
“You know before we met I thought i had experienced love and had something special going on, something I didn’t want to lose” She paused and looked at Jake who was now looking at her with a serious expression on his face. She give him a wry smile before returning her attention to his hair which was very soft and silky. She was going to ask him for the name of his hair product after now.
“I thought I was in love and was equally loved back. But it turned out to be a lie and I was just living in my own delusion” She paused and hissed. Jake looked at her intently as he listened to her, he could feel the hurt in her voice but he didn’t interrupt her.
Still pla-ying with his hair Jade continued, “I guess the signs were there but I didn’t see them because I was too stupid living in my own fantasy, planning a future with someone who didn’t love me or respect me, slaving away for him and –” She paused again when she felt uneasy and a flic-ker of pain surge throu-ghher heart.
Jake noticed the change in her eyes and he raised his palm to touch her cheek, “Hey, you don’t have to talk about it. It’s all past now, just let it be” Jake said in a low voice, trying to comfort her when she looked like she was about to cry.
Jade slowly shook her head, silently telling him it was okay. She didn’t mind telling him this, as a matter of fact she wanted to tell him.
“No I want to” She said placing her small hand on top of his large palm which was on her face.
“Are you sure?” Jake asked while Jade nodded her head. He sighed deflatedly when he realized she was determined to share her past with her. He really didn’t mind if she chose not to tell him, all that matters was the prese-nt and their future.
“Okay”
Jade laid on the bed and placed her head on his che-st while Jake sna-kedhis hands around her wa-ist.
“You know on that night we met, I was in desperate nee-d of cash to save someone who was about to die. Remember how I boldly offered myself to you right?” She chuckled as the memory of that night flashed throu-ghher head.
How could he forget, that was the worst and best day of his life. It has been the best day of his life because that was how he had seen her, but it was equally the worst because he made a mistake with her on that night.
It was the day he had mostly regretted and wished he had acted differently. The day he had wished he shouldn’t have given in to his lust-ful desi-res. Jake was still embarr@$$ed by his debauched attitude on that day and because of that, he couldn’t reply. He simply nodded his head and muttered an, “mmm”
“Well you wouldn’t believe who I wanted to save” She paused and mockingly chuckled.
“It was to save my boyfriend who I had been dating for four years” She snorted. She was amused by her level of foolishness and stupidity at the time.
“You know at the time, I didn’t care what I had to do to save him, or the consequences I’d have to face for doing something stupid, neither did I listen to my mother’s plea. I just had one goal at that time and that was to save him no matter the cost. And I did. I saved him, but then instead of getting a pat at the back or anything that would make me feel better and not drown myself with shame, I was rewarded with a hu-ge pile of betrayal handed to me in the most painful and un-dermining way ever” She paused when she felt tears prick her eyes. She wasn’t feeling teary about the fact that she was betrayed, no, that would only give Cale some room for feeling special in her heart. She was feeling teary for being a fool and despite her foolishness the heaven did not cast her aside, but rather she was given a second chance at love, but this time with someone better.
A mistake had turned in to a blessing.
Jake heard her voice turn heavy, he could tell she was tearing up. He wanted to sit up and hold her, but Jade pinned him down, snuggling closer against him. He sighed when she did that, and he could only ti-ghten his hold around her to comfort her.
She took a de-ep breath and calmed herself before she continued. “You know it was embarr@$$ing bumping into you that morning at the hospital at the very moment when I had just caught my boyfriend who I have nee-d dating for four years proposing to his fiancee who I thought was his cousin all this while. To think we all work un-der the same place and I’ve been stupidly helping her, trying to impress my would be in-law who unknowingly was dating my boyfriend. I must have been a fool” Jade couldn’t stop a tear from rolling down her eyes.
Jake could feel his heart ache for her, he gently brushed his hand down her cheek and caught her tears and wiping it off her face. Though it was past he could feel his blood boil with anger.
He pushed her on the bed and hovered his face over her. His heart pound ferociously when he saw her reddened eyes. Wiping her face with his palm, he kizzed her cheek and said, “You were not a fool, you were just in love. It was their loss and foolishness for treating you that way. Never call yourself a fool again” He told her, while Jade slowly nodded her head.
He didn’t want to see her sad especially when it had to do a stupid ex who might have broken her heart. He didn’t mind not hearing all that, he just didn’t want her to cry because of any undeserving je-rk.
She wrapped her hand around his ne-ck and hu-gged him. There was something else she wanted to tell, something that had even hurt her more than Cale cheating on her and that was the fact that she had shared him with Stephanie. She had not thought much about it before they started dating, but when they finally did, she couldn’t help but feel angry at the fact she had also shared her man with that vixen even though it was in the past.
Well she shouldn’t bother herself about it anymore, Jake was hers and only she had the right to talk about him, hold him and kizz him.
Jake wrapped his hands around her and hu-gged her ti-ghtly against himself, p-ulling her to lie on top of him, while his hand gently patted her back.
“Don’t be sad okay. It’s past” He comforted her. While Jade shook her head.
“I’m not sad because of him, I’m just sad because you didn’t come sooner. You just took so long” Jade sma-ck ed his arm as she ru-bbed her face against his che-st making Jake chuckle.
“I’m sorry, I was just trying to look pretty for you” He said in a serious tone even though it was supposed to maker her smile.
“And see I’m here now aren’t I? Don’t think about the past anymore okay. You have me now and I’ll love you till my dying day”
“You better do” She said as she ti-ghtened her hold around him.

Stephanie sat on the cold floor of her apa-rtment with a murderous expression on her face, a dark glint glistening in her eyes as she continued to gulp down the bottle of br@ndy in her hand. Lying on her side were few bottles of alcohol which she had consumed.
The whole apa-rtment was in a mess, she had thrashed all she could lay her hands on to vent her anger, but her anger was no where calm, rather she looked worse. Her hatred for Jade grew by the second. She desperately wanted to kill her. She could lunge a knife throu-ghher heart and mutilate her.
“That damn bitc-h” She cussed out as she threw the bottle in her hand against the wall, smashing it and it’s content spilling on the floor. Her eyes were red and so much anger, pain, and hatred were burning in them. She was fuming with anger.
“Why that damn bitc-h?” She threw another bottle at the plasma hanging on the wall as she shrieked in anger. She didn’t un-derstand what they saw in her. What did they all see in Jade? As far as she was concerned she surp@$$ed Jade in every way. She was more beautiful, more intelligent, more perfect, and she was more satisfying in bed. So what the hell did they see in her? What did Jade have that she didn’t have? She had more! She deserved all the attention that Jade was receiving.
That bitc-h couldn’t even have se-xwith her man, she didn’t even know how to plea-sure a man so what did they all see in her?
First it was Cale, and now she even got someone like Jake. And the company dare let her go because of a mere intern when she has been working for the company for years, and even when she had a better position than her. This was too much for her.
She won’t let them humiliate her like this. She was going to get back at her. Since they all loved Jade that much, she was going to see if they’d still love her after she was done with her.
“Ahhhh!” She shrieked, kicking all the things on her path away as she staggered to her feet.
“I’m going to kill that bitc-h!” She swore as she picked up her phone dialed a number.
“I’m coming over” She said in a cold tone.
“mmm” Was all the person from the other side muttered before she hung up.
She grabbed her jacket from the sofa and her ATM card as well as her keys before stepping out of the house.
She was going to teach that bitc-h a lesson.. Then she’d see how they were all going to love and adore her.
*Half an hour later*
In a dark Alley, Stephanie stepped out of her car, though she was a bit drunk she looked quite sober. She looked at both side of the alley seemingly looking for someone.
She picked up her phone and dialed the number again. After one ring the person picked up.
“Come out, I’ve got a job for you” She said before hanging up.
She leaned against her car as she waited for whoever she had tried to call to show up. After waiting for a few minutes, three dangerous looking men approached her from both sides but she was unfazed. She was familiar with them, or rather their boss.
“I thought I’d never see you again” One of the men who was their boss said as he approached her, while Stephanie rolled her eyes. He stopped right in front her, his eyes lustfully seizing her up while the other two men stood in the shadows.
Trailing his finger down her face, he lic-ked his li-ps, and asked, “What do you want now?” He asked with a lascivious smile which badly irked Stephanie, but she was familiar with this guy. He was a creep.
She couldn’t provoke him right now and most importantly she nee-ded his services.
P@$$ing her phone to him she showed him the picture currently displa-ying on her phone.
“I want a full package. And maybe you can season her face with a bit of acid too” Stephanie said with a straight face, like she had not just asked him to do something bad.
The man co-cked his brows amusedly. “A full package huh?” The man asked with a sly smile as he looked at the picture.
“She’s pretty. I think I like her already” The lascivious smile on his face wide-ned.
Stephanie felt her blood boil when she heard him say, ‘Jade was pretty’. Her hands clenched into a fist as she eyed the man.
The man smi-rked when he saw the dark look on Stephanie’s face, “We’re going to have fun with her” He smiled before sli-pping the phone into his pocket.
“Payment?” He asked.
Stephanie eyed before bringing out the envelope from her car and handed it to him.
The man received the envelope, he took a look at it before tossing into the darkeness where one of his men deftly caught it.
He took a step closer and he pla-yed with a lock of her hair.
“That’s for the boys, where’s mine?” He asked, smiling eerily.
Stephanie looked at him with disgust but she couldn’t say anything to him, she un-derstood the sort of payment he was asking for. The disgust she felt towards him was nowhere near the hatred she had for Jade.
Surreptitiously eyeing him, she said, “Tomorrow, I’ll se-nd you an address” She sternly told him, but the man shook his head. He didn’t want that.
“Tomorrow’s far, what about now?”
“Now?” Stephanie looked at him like he was crazy.
“Come on, you know you want to, and I’m sure you missed it. Just step into the car and I’ll get my payment as well as plea-sure you” He said, lic-king his li-p in a very irritating manner.
“Can’t you–”
Opening the door of the car, the man said, “Get in” the smile was no longer on his face and Stephanie knew things had just turned serious.
Left with no other choice, Stephanie got into the back seat of the car which the man had opened for her and he joined her.
She felt repulsed by him and she couldn’t help but cringed when he groped her and began to kizz her.
Soon sound of for-ced Mo-ans could be heard echoing out from the car with the car bouncing up and down, as the couple inside entangled themselves.
After having his fill, the man buckled his trousers and gave Stephanie a kizz on the li-ps and from the look on her face, she was highly irritated but he didn’t care. She silently dressed herself up as she cussed in her heart.
She turned to the man when he was about leave, “Don’t forget to se-nd me videos” She told him as he stepped out of the car.
“You sure are vicious” The man said with a creepy smile before walking away with his men.
Stephanie angrily wiped her li-ps with the back of her hand. She had allowed that repugnant man to kizz and touch her just because of that bitc-h.
Stephanie turned livid as she cussed in her heart all over again. She was going to make Jade pay. She was going to ruin Jade’s life when she gets a hold of that video.
“bitc-h” She cussed loudly.
