EPISODE 78
Yes. Edward is right, princess. You have suffered enough all these years, alone and helpless. Now, leave it to all of us and enjoy your pregnancy time” her father ruffled her hair affectionately.
“You promised to rest well, dear. Just sit and enjoy the show” her father in law supported her son and friend.
Brina smiled and nodded her head. Happy of being doted on by her husband as well as her father and father in law.
“Layla spoke with me, yesterday. Your uncle is trying to join hands with her” Louis said after some time.
“He is unaware that I attacked their un-derworld gang not only because of my personal revenge but also because of my friendship with you guys.”
“Nickolas and Griffin are hiding everything from him. So, he is only thinking that I destroyed the un-derworld organization because they killed my boyfriend” Layla said.
When her boyfriend died, that un-derworld organization was not working with Gabriel. At least not to the level where one could easily identify it.
And, Gabriel is unaware that Seth is acquainted with Layla.
“So, what have you decided to do?” Brina asked her husband and his best friend.
“Well, what Nickolas suggested before is that I pretend to be in favor of Gabriel and try to distract him. So, in the meantime, Nickolas and others could come up with a plan to bring everything to an end. But, with all of you people, Remus and others included, we are yet to discuss” Layla answered.
This was a plan made by Nickolas before he is aware that Brina is alive. Layla actually pretended to be okay with his proposal just to make sure what his intentions are.
That was part of their agreement Nickolas had with Layla.
Nick would help her to seek her revenge and in turn she should help him seek his revenge.
But that was when Layla didn’t mix up Brina’s side and Nickolas’s side.
So, it changes now.
“I think the best way to come up with a perfect and effective plan is to discuss with all of you guys from both your sides to discuss it and sort everything out,” Layla said.
“We have to work together. It is why I took a great risk to exp-ose both the sides to each other. Otherwise, things would have been messed up.” Layla agreed.
“Then, organizing a meeting would be good. I prefer face to face.” Louis said.
“I can have Nickolas, Griffin, James and Camilla come here. They can mask their real reason with the reason that they are coming here to make an alliance agreement with ne” Layla said.
“Remus, Harry, Katherine and others could come. Ethan would be joining us throu-gha video conference” Louis said.
“Let’s have this meeting as soon as possible. And, let’s get this done” Brina said, vexed by this already. She is a bit feeling good inside and that was the reason she stayed quiet all the time during breakfast.
“After this month, I won’t be able to enjoy the revenge,” Brina said, her face pale and voice weak.
“Love, what’s wrong?” Louis worriedly asked as he noticed it just now.
“I am goi-” Brina didn’t finish her sentence but stood up and sprinted to the nearby bathroom to puke.
“Her pregnancy sickness is getting worse” King Edgar said, worriedly as he looked at his son and his best friend following Brina hastily.
“Of course, if she worries more about this stuff, it’s going to get a lot worse, uncle. I was in that place when I gave birth to Meg, in fact a lot more ” Layla said, finishing her breakfast.
“I do remember, child. You had it very tough and you were really very stubborn.” king Edgar pursed his li-ps, remembering the pain Layla went throu-gh.
She was in Kingdom Alerts when she gave birth. She is like a second daughter to him.
“Brina is stubborn, uncle. But I do recommend you all not to let all this pressurize her. Otherwise, it will get a lot painful” Layla said, her eyes gloomy.
It was because of all the tensions she went throu-ghthat she had to lose her second child.
And, that’s the main reason why Louis gets restless and hyper paranoid when Brina gets tensed and worried.
He is afraid that something like what happened to Layla would happen to his wife too.
And, ge knows Brina will lose herself if that happens.
“I will take a leave, uncle. I will make the arrangements for the meeting” Layla said, standing up. “Ask Brina not to get tense. I do know that it’s very risky for the last step of the plan, but we all are here” she a-ssured.
“Yes, dear. Don’t worry about Brina”
“Let’s get this done as soon as possible but don’t compromise with security. Even the Royal guards who came with us will be helping you. They are trustworthy” Edgar said.
“Thanks uncle. Take care of Brina” saying so, she left the house.
…..
“James, we would be going on a meeting to the States” Nickolas told the King of Kingdom Myriana, who is also an ally.
“To meet whom, Nick?” James asked, annoyed.
He hates it when Nickolas acts like this.
After that fateful incident, which took toll on his first love and all her family members, James was devastated and he was fu-cking angry with Nickolas.
His rage knew no bounds.
How could he do that? Sabrina was the woman who was a dream girl, a role model and caring friend who doesn’t deserve anything that happened to her!!
Nickolas is a damn lucky guy for getting the opportunity to share his life with such a wonderful person! But what did he do?
He sold her trust and plotted to kill her, just for what??
Some fu-cking power, which couldn’t even give real happiness!
If he was in Nickolas’s position, he would have adored her, placed her in his heart and took care of her like a princess, which she really is!!
So, not able to tolerate those raging emotions, James directly confronted Nickolas why he had betrayed Brina and how exactly he could stomach it.
Nickolas knew James loved Brina with all his heart, and in fact she is still his first love.
If it weren’t because of critical circu-mstances in James’ Royal family, he would have concentrated in wooing Sabrina and getting her to love him.
Nickolas still believes that if it wasn’t because of that, Sabrina really would have accepted James.
Anyway, back to the point, Nickolas knows that James was genuinely concerned about Sabrina.
As he also wanted some powerful allies to take revenge, he told James about everything and asked, ahem…begged, for help.
At first, James didn’t believe Nickolas.
However, after several trials of persuasion and after a lot of genuine efforts Nickolas showed James agreed to listen to him.
So, after witnessing many incidents and noticing some solid proofs Nickolas showed him, James got convinced and at last agreed to help.
Even after that, he never let down his guards. He was alert, not believing Nickolas wholeheartedly.
Even Nickolas knew it but he is also aware that what he has done in the past are the reasons for these heart aching, lonesome consequences.
“We have to go to meet someone very special,” Nick answered James’ question.
However, he didn’t tell James about Brina. Nor did he tell Camilla or Griffin.
He wanted them to have the same impact as it had on him when he found out Brina is alive.
“Nick, you have been too mysterious for a few days. I swear to God that I won’t let you live if you are actually betraying our cause. We are in the final phase of getting what we want, so if-” he stopped when the other call was added to the conference.
It is Layla.
James met her a few times.
Probably twice or thrice.
But he knows about her past, so he knows that she would never help Nickolas in betraying the main cause.
“He isn’t planning against your cause, King James. We are inviting you to come for a discussion about our future plans to proceed with” she said.
“We have always met in my Kingdom or in country S, Ms. Fletcher. Why should we change it to your base in the States? Are you trying to kill me and join hands with Nickolas and his sadistic father in law, Gabriel?” James asked.
Well, after what happened to Sabrina and her family, he stopped believing anyone blindly.
So, he became a pretty straight forward person and he never cared about what others would think or feel about him.
All he cares about is making sure he won’t risk his life or his beloved people’s precious lives, including his countrymen.
And, before Layla who was dumbfounded, could answer, Remus was added to call as well.
He actually didn’t want to join, but he didn’t have any choice to say no.
It is Louis who is controlling the call and organizing it. And, he is fu-cking serious to get this meeting go smooth and safe.
He would never take any chances when it comes to his wife’s safety or his unborn baby’s life.
Unlike Brina who trusts her friends so much, he doesn’t.
Although he trusts in Layla, he doesn’t trust in Nickolas and James.
He used to not trust Remus too but after finding out about his loss, Louis got convinced that Remus is no threat in any way.
Meanwhile….
“Remus” James almost shouted in shock when he saw Remus on the screen.
He is shocked by how he found out about him and Nickolas working together.
More than that he is shocked because he is added to the call which is supposed to be highly confidential.
And, it only points out that Nickolas and Remus are in talking conditions now!
Which was not expected!
Nickolas let his sister Niccy die.
And, Niccy is Remus’s life. He would never forgive Nickolas on this aspect. Never!!
“Hi James,” Remus greeted. But he didn’t greet Nickolas.
As usual, he ignored that man’s existence. If not for his pregnant friend, who seriously has to cut off the pressure, he wouldn’t have agreed to work with this bastard.
He is only doing this because this has to end soon, so that Brina and her baby would be safe in their weakest point.
Meanwhile, even Nickolas couldn’t muster up his courage to speak to Remus.
He is not prepared to face this kind of situation.
In the first place, he never expected that something like this would happen.
He actually planned to leave the kingdoms after his revenge. He decided to go far away to some small town like this one and live his rest of life, reflecting himself.
So, he never thought he had to meet Remus again, who was his dead sister’s boyfriend.
“So, you guys are working together now” James asked, breaking the awkward silence.
“Not exactly. It’s kind of complicated to explain to you , so..ummm…anyway, I got my Kingdom back and we will be having all the four kingdoms working together to stop this Rebellion” Remus said.
“Four? Yours, mine, your fianćee’s and Nick’s?” Jamew asked, a little bit of mockery.
“Nick doesn’t have Kingdom, James. He is just a lapdog, not a leader, let alone a King. I am talking about Kingdom Aletros” Remus said.
Meanwhile, Nick flinched a bit and Layla could only roll her eyes.
But she kind of enjoyed it.
Remus words are so sarcastically funny and oddly satisfying.
Louis, who was listening to this, is also enjoying it. He really felt like laughing and throwing his own punchline.
However, Brina is fast asleep, deadly tired after she threw up multiple times, all the breakfast she ate.
If not because his wife is sleeping in his arms he would have really laughed out loud, rolling on his stomach.
Remus is savage.
‘Nick doesn’t have Kingdom’ it sounded so satisfying to hear.
