EPISODE 76

“God bless the child and congrats to you, Ed. You are going to become a grandfather, soon” Georgy congratulated his friend, but his eyes became gloomy when he remembered his own grandson who is dead now.

“But I am wondering how your kingdom people actually accepted your daughter in law who was from outside the Kingdom. Or, is she from the noble family?” he asked, intending to divert the topic.

The last thing he wants is to make his friend pity him and turn this happy reunion into some sympathy show.

“She is from outside. But we all love her so much. She is perfect and most suitable as Queen” Edgar said, bragging about his daughter in law who is actually this man’s daughter as well.

“And, her status is far higher than any noble lady, so all have agreed” he added, hoping that he would ask about her at least now.

“Hmm. Good to hear that. Customs are changing in your kingdom too. They never agreed on any commoner till now, right? Especially your mom” George asked.

He felt good talking to his best friend.

For a few moments he can forget his grief and act like everything is fine.

“She isn’t a commoner. She is a princess” Edgar grinned.

“Princess? Which Kingdom?” George asked, suddenly curious. At last!

“Your Kingdom” Edgar grinned.

“Mine? Camilla is engaged and we don’t have any princess in the Kingdom, well, if you don’t count my brothers another daughter” George said, referring to Natalie.

As Edgar still doesn’t know that this other daughter his friend talked about is none other than his another daughter in law, Natalie,he didn’t care much about it.

“No, I am not talking about your bastard brother’s daughters. I am talking about yours” Edgar said, grinning again.

This is called, slowly revealing the secret.

And, it is extremely thrilling.

“Eh?” George looked at his friend as if he was gone mad.

But when he saw him grinning, he just sighed. “I am in no mood to hear your jokes, Ed” George said.

“Seriously? You think I am joking? You said you saw my daughter in law at the park right? Haven’t you felt any emotions for familiarity when you saw her?” Edgar asked.

For a second George froze.

He did, yes, he felt like that girl was very familiar to him and she had also made him feel unfathomable emotions.

But who could that girl be his daughter?

There was no survivor in the fire accident.

While George was in shock, still not able to comprehend what was happening, “Dad” Brina called out loud as she came inside.

At first she wanted to go inside but Nick said sudden shocks are not good for her father’s health.

So, she stopped outside and waited while Edgar tried to break this news to her father.. However, it didn’t work out much and she started losing patience as well. So she came inside.

Meanwhile, when George heard that familiar voice, he froze. It is so, so similar to his daughter’s voice.

And, when he turned around, Sabrina was there, standing in front of him.

She took off her eye lenses, got her hair style fixed like her previous hair style. She even wore the ne-ck chain her father gave it to her as a heirloom.

So, only her hair color is different. But, the resemblance is so obvious.

For one second, George couldn’t believe his eyes. He thought he was hallucinating, but this felt so real.

Her voice felt very real and the sight of her made his heart best erratically.

“Sa.. Sabrina” George stuttered, finally coming out of his shock. Tears statted streaming out if his eyes and he felt his legs buckle.

If not for his friend who is holding him, he would have really crumbled down.

He walked hurriedly to his daughter and hug-ged her ti-ghtly, afraid that she would disappear if he is late even one second.

His movements are so in hurry and clumsy. Unstable with shock and anxiety.

Meanwhile, Brina is no different from her father.

She is un-dergoing the same emotions as her father.

When he started walking hurriedly to her, she sprinted to him too. Afraid that she would wake up from this beautiful dream even before she could feel the familiar warmth of her father.

“God! It’s really you. Thank God, it’s really my daughter” he whispered when his tears fell drop by drop, soaking her top.

When he hug-ged her, that familiar emotion and aura overwhelmed him.

This is too real to be a dream!

Brina cared less about her appearance too. She broke out into tears and her own tears are soaking her father’s shirt as well.

“I didn’t know you were alive, dad. When I escaped with Will, I saw that the building you were about to be there, crumbled down to ashes. Later, I heard that they found out your DNA sample there and confirmed that you were dead” she cried very badly.

“I am sorry. I should have been there for you” she sobbed.

“Oh honey, it’s not your mistake to feel sorry about. Sshh….sshh.. don’t cry. I am here right” her father patted her back as he caressed her hair with another hand. “We reunited. It’s all that matters” he comforted her.

“We were supposed to be in that building, princess. But, Nickolas got us out somehow. We fainted due to that smoke and by the time I opened my eyes I was in this town, in a coma for a year” George answered her another question when his daughter finally calmed down.

Looking at his daughter’s face, he sighed and wiped her tears away. “Still a cry baby” he gently chided her as he affectionately smiled making Brina chuckle in between her sibd.

For the first smile that reached his eyes for the first time in all these years. (Exclude the time she spent with Louis)

But when Brina didn’t stop crying he used his usual method.

Praising her.

Yes, Sabrina loves when her father or brother praises her. For them, she is always a little princess who lives to get attention from the best men of her life.

“Look at you, you are so beautiful. You shouldn’t cry like this” he said.

“I never thought I would get to see my darlin’ princess again. It’s like a dream” he said, hugging her again. Trying to stop her from crying. But she was just very emotional. “But in this beautiful moment, I didbt expect my baby to cry” he teased.

Even he wanted to cry do badly. Well, however, he is habituated to acting strong like this.

“Promise me that you don’t leave me” Brina asked, her voice cracking.

“Never again, princess” her father promised, as he hug-ged his daughter who is crying like a baby.

At first Louis wanted to go and comfort her but later decided against it. This is the father – daughter time.

After hugging each other for a few more moments, Brina calmed down a little.

“Dad….mom? How is she and where is she?” Brina asked, suddenly remembering that she didn’t see her mother.

“Jenny is upstairs. She is in a coma, princess. Doctors said that it is up to her when she wanted to wake up and that there was nothing wrong with her body anymore. May be too many painful incidents and too many losses that she doesn’t want to wake up.” her father gloomily answered.

“She would have been in a peaceful and happy dream, she never wanted to wake from” her father said, wiping his tears.
…..

After Nick saw this family reunion he at last felt his mind in peace (not heart though).

It is too painful for him to see Brina with another man and their families reuniting. He didn’t harbour any bad intentions, but, he is sad. That’s it…

As it became clear that she would never come back to him, he simply didn’t see the point in staying back here.

Besides this, he needs to rush because Gabriel, the main villain, suffered a heart attack yesterday night.

The more he delays, the more others will get suspicious. So, he left after informing Layla.

Meanwhile, Brina saw her mother and she was very emotional.

But her mother’s doctors gave her hope that she might wake up if she was made to sense that her daughter and grandson are alive.
….

“I am happy you married Edward,” George said to his daughter.

It’s night now.

After George insisted everyone, they finally decided to stay back in the mansion.

They just had dinner and Brina went back to her father. She is missing him so much. She want to spend as much as time she can with him…

Meanwhile, Will was the happiest person. He jumped in joy when he saw his grandfather.

This is the second most happiest moment Will had, following after how he felt when he saw his aunt for the first time.

Will was sleeping on his grandfather’s shoulder, blissful and peaceful. Brina has her head resting on her father’s other shoulder.

She just simply couldn’t believe that this is no dream. Though she is sleepy, she is forcing her sleep away now. Afraid that when she wakes up this all would disappear.

“Our meeting was coincidental, dad. He is really my lucky charm. He got me a new family, gave me everything I wanted even before I could realize that I need it. He is un-derstanding and so loving. I am glad I met him again”

“Even now, all of the other places, he selected this town as our holiday place. If it wasn’t because of him, I would have never found you and mom” Brina said.

If she wouldn’t have found out that Nick is not a traitor anymore, she would have right away put the bullet in his head even before he could tell her about her parents.

Then, finding about her parents would not have been this easy.

“Yes, my little princess. Edward has always been your lucky charm. Even when you were kids. He actually saved you from falling into the lake, when he was just a three years old little guy” George chuckled as she heard ruffled his daughter’s hair.

“And, I still couldn’t believe that my little girl got married and is going to become a mother soon” he jubilantly cheered as he patted his daughter’s stomach.

“Over four months, right?” he asked. “Still five more months to go,” he said, making his daughter chuckle.

“Dad, this is the tenth time you were saying this,” Brina said, rolling her eyes like before.

“I am just excited, okay! I am an old man already and I need grandchildren. The more the merrier.” he said, making Brina hug his arm ti-ghtly.

“And Will need cousins too” he grinned. “Old man will be happy if he gets to play with his grandchildren”

She just missed this. Their cute banter.

“Dad, you are just fifty three now! You are not old!” Brina said. “After mom wakes up, you can even try to give me a brother or sister,” she teased.

“You are still the daddy’s Nau-ghty daddy princess” George playfully twisted her ear.

“Only with you and Edward” Brina giggled.

Before, she used to tell, ‘Only with you and Seth’

This is like a tacit agreement that both of them avoided speaking about Seth. Brina didn’t want her father to get sad in front of her because it makes her sad and depressed.

George felt the same way. His daughter just found out that her parents are alive. She is trying to be happy and he didn’t want to ruin it by bringing about her brother whom she loves the most.

Meanwhile, they were sitting in her mother’s room, hoping that she would listen to all this and wake up.

After some time, Brina slept like that, on her father’s shoulder while she talked with him. She didn’t even realise when she dozed off.

It’s been years since she did this….late night talking with her father.

Whenever she used to sleep like this, her father and mother used to not disturb her and let her sleep with them.

Even the same used to go with her brother but after he married, Brina didn’t disturb his nightlife.

She had a habit of sleeping with her parents even after growing up into a ruthless princess. And, there were many nights she accidentally invaded her brother’s place too, while chatting with him and his wife .

Even though she accidentally used to sleep, her brother used to carry her to her room and make her sleep.

It’s not that she was complaining anyway…

He needs to spend time with his wife..right? Otherwise, his wife Lillian would prefer spending time with her bestest friend and sister in law, Sabrina and leave her husband to take cold shower otherwise….

Poor guy…

And, remembering all this, her father couldn’t help but miss those days.

His happy, little family got ruined because of his own brother while the person who indirectly helped is his daughter’s ex fiance.

Meanwhile…

“Uncle, I will take Brina to the bedroom. You need to rest too” Louis said as he quietly entered the room, not disturbing his wife or her nephew who are happily sleeping.

When her father nodded his head in approval, Louis gently lifted Brina up in princess style.

After making sure she isn’t uncomfortable, he politely smiled at his father in law who in return chuckled.

“Edward, you can call me Dad. I still remember your promise of marrying my daughter and calling me dad.” George teased playfully, making Louis chuckle in return.

He doesn’t remember it much but it sounded like him, anyway.

He was shameless when it comes to Brina..

Even when he is just a toddler…

“I kept my promise, dad,” Louis winked.

Brina’s father had always been his favorite uncle while his father used to be Brina’s favorite.

It became really easy and comfortable now, for all of them. Although they don’t remember plating with their favorite uncle’s, both of them could feel that familwruty which eased out all the tensions and newness among them.

There is no in law’s feeling among any of them.

They are like one big family.
….

Meanwhile….

Louis brou-ght Brina downstairs to the bedroom and tucked her for sleep, but before he could go, Brina held his hand and pulled him.

She is awake actually. She couldn’t fall asleep due to the extreme happiness she went throu-ghand also the anxiety that followed after.

She is alert, afraid that this would just turn into a beautiful dream if she falls de-eper into slumber.

“What is it, love? Not sleepy?” Louis asked, kis-sing her forehead, as he sat down beside her.

“I want you,” Brina said, her eyes turning hot and mischievous.

Even her voice is sultry…

Louis grinned and his eyes darkened as he looked at her indulgently.

“With plea-sure” he replied as he hovered her, while un-bu-ttoning her shirt.

“But, what if others hear us?” he asked, now, removing her night dress.

“This room is no sound proof” he added, teasing her.

“I don’t care,” Brina said, winking at him as she teased his che-st with her fingers.

“You have your father upstairs,” he reminded her.

“Are you nervous? Hesitating perhaps. No, why do I feel like you are afraid of my father” Brina mocked, provoking the inner beast.

“You think so? Well, you were wrong. I was just warning you not to blame me later” Louis winked back, before getting into the business.

A pleasant business which he is craving.
