EPISODE 74
And when Nick remembered that special relation these both shared, he was adamant not to let them get together.
It was because the chances of Edward and Sabrina getting married were very high.
Although Sabrina’s parents promised Nick that they would marry their daughter to him, it was with one condition that their daughter had to willingly agree to it.
And, their promise would no longer be applicable if she fell in love with others and decided to marry that person.
So, when Nickolas remembered those clause’s, he right away knew it would get difficult for him if Sabrina and Edward start looking at each other.
With their special relationship and equal statuses combined with the de-eper friendship between their families, their relationship could progress at a fast pace.
So, at that instant, Nickolas got extremely worried and a quick though lit up his mind in that tension.
He quickly picked up the camera in his backpack, which by luck he brou-ght with him, and intentionally took the picture such that Sabrina’s purple eyes could be seen in that blur picture.
He made sure her face would not be visible except her purple eyes.
And, when Edward chased him for the camera he ran fast and then he deliberately threw the camera and escaped. In that dark night, Edward could no longer chase Nickolas and when he was returning to see Sabrina, he sp-otted the camera on the path.
Edward decided to delete the picture but what he saw had shocked him.
He suddenly recalled that his mysterious girlfriend is from the Royal family of Kingdom Wentris.
As their respective Kingdoms are enemies, dating the Royal daughter of the enemy kingdom would only bring problems to both of them.
It will not be a happy relationship let alone a compatible one. He didn’t see a bright future for both of them but a stressful and painful one.
And, Nickolas wanted the same thing to happen. He was sure Edward would leave Sabrina once he found out that she is from the Royal family of Kingdom Wentris.
And, Louis exactly did what he wished for…..
However, Nick never thought that they would meet again and get married to each other.
This couple are really destined to marry each other and that is the reason nothing was able to stop them.
“So, Sabrina and Edward got in love without knowing each other’s identities?” he asked, envious and boiling inside. He still couldn’t believe it but he knows that this is the truth.
There is no chance Edward would have found out that Sabrina is alive and tracked her down. On the first place, Edward doesn’t even know that it was Sabrina whom he kis-sed in Academy.
They didn’t get to see each other’s faces while they kis-sed because of the dark night. Moreover, they were closing eyes when they kis-sed!! They have only opened their eyes when they heard camera flash and they didn’t get time to scrutinize their faces.
Louis right away chased Nickolas for the camera and by the time Brina realized what happened, Louis was already running with his back facing her.
She waited for the whole night but he didn’t come.
So, it must be coincidental that they met again, fell in love and then realized their real identities.
“Yep, they didn’t know at that time that they shared such a beautiful, destined relationship. It was just a mere coincidence they fell in head over heels with each other.”
“And, when Brina found out Louis’s real identity, she didn’t want to participate in Bride selection but she couldn’t help it. She felt her life void without him so, she came back”
“Later, when the King found out about their love and that she is his god daughter, he immediately got them married” Layla ended the story.
Meanwhile, Nickolas continued looking at Brina and Louis who were now talking with King Edgar and Queen Elora who had just returned back from the lake.
But what caught his attention is Edward kis-sing Brina’s stomach while he laid down on carpet and placed his head on her lap.
Will and Meg are now at the lake, trying to fish with the help of a mentor.
“What the-” Nick stopped.
Why the hell is Edward kis-sing her stomach and ru-b-bing his nose gently against it?
Even Sabrina was lovestruck when he did it. She is smiling so happily and affectionately.
It is as if she is pregnant and he is kis-sing their child, making her the happiest woman on earth.
It really felt like that. It is so obvious, in fact.
Moreover, he could see a swelling of her stomach.
“Don’t tell me they are expecting a baby!” Nick asked, totally stunned and rooted to his place.
That’s impossible… according to him.
As for what he knows about Sabrina, she never liked to get physical so soon. She hated it when people used to touch her without her permission. She fired out so many times on him that he eventually gave up.
He thought he could have her to his full after they get married. It would be impossible for her to say no after that…
Even if I fell in love, this is a little fast.
They shouldn’t have gotten that physical with each other. He could not accept it. It is the truth to him..
Well, that was Nickolas’s own way of comforting himself.
Although, subconsciously he is aware that his thesis is not true, he is not ready to accept the reality. It would hurt his ego…
Moreover, it has just been five months since they got married.
“She is!” Layla confirmed.
“Four and half months already! Otherwise, Why would they come here leaving the Kingdom during these times?” She scoffed.
“Doctors recommended her to take bed rest for a few days because they went overboard with their love making” she added, intentionally dropping salt and spice on his round.
Nickolas winced.
Ahh…. is that a face slap? Perhaps, a way of taking revenge!! No matter what it is, it really had hit him ha-rd on his heart.
Should Layla really mention their affection and happy, contented life??
He is still a Vir-gin dammit!!
“And, remember that you don’t have any chance to get her back, Nickolas. Accept that, all right?” Layla said, patting his shoulder.
“I didn’t tell you about all these to hurt you or make you feel jealous. Edward is my best friend and so is his wife…”
“Although Brina is very happy, it is still a truth that no one can fill the void of her family’s death left in her heart.”
“She needs to reunite with her parents and besides this, William needs his grandparents at this age. Especially after his parents death”
“Moreover, Brina is pregnant and she possibly can’t be bold enough to face her uncle and fight against him alone. So, she need as much as help she could get”
“And, this is the most favorable chance for you to help her and turn her hatred for you into a friendship. Whatever you did to her and her family will be paid off if you help her in taking revenge and getting back what belonged to her before. Think about it” Layla said.
“Brina will never be yours. In the first place, she was never yours. She never
acknowledged you as her lover but only as her fianće. Right now, she hates you the most in her life and if you let go of this chance, you might never be able to get her forgiveness”
“I will leave you to think about it, Nick. I will be going outdoors to join the picnic with them. If you want to come clean you are welcome to join us anytime before this evening. If you decide against it, you are free to go from here and don’t come back again. I will take Brina to her parents and reunite them.”
“But remember that she will soon come back for revenge and will successfully accomplish it. Don’t un-derestimate her, she has enough power in her hands and also many powerful friends to back her up and stand by her side.”
“For instance, me and my un-derworld gang, Harry and his people, Louis and his own people here, Remus and his personal team…. and so many like us.”
“When that time comes, you will be facing her as a foe rather than an ally. Get ready to face it” Saying so, Layla walked out leaving Nickolas to think about it.
…..
“Hey, guys. Sorry for the delay, I was talking to my friend about some matters” Layla said as she walked to them and sat down on the blanket.
“That’s fine. We didn’t get bored” Louis said, still lying on Brina’s lap.
He ru-bbed his nose playfully to Brina’s belly, tickling her.
Bring laughed and ruffled his hair before they shared a brief kis-s.
“Is your friend not joining us?” Brina asked after a few moments of silence.
“He will be. I made sure of it” Layla answered.
“What happened in the second phase of attack?” Layla asked Louis, suddenly remembering that Remus should be proceeding with his revenge now.
“The straight attack would be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. They are busy in their final arrangements and strategies” Louis informed.
“I am glad this will be coming to end, soon” King Edgar sighed in relief.
“Yeah, Brina could at last spend her time in peace as well” Queen Elora added.
However, they stopped talking when they saw a man approaching them.
And, when Brina recognised the man, she froze. Louis, who was leisurely lying down, sat down all in alert and looked at Layla with surprise and a little bit of anger.
‘What the hell is Nickolas doing here?’ he thought.
His first reflex was to wrap his arm around Brina and show that bastard whose woman she is.
He knows that Nick can’t harm anyone here because he was clearly outnumbered.
However, he wondered what Nickolas is doing here.
Isn’t he a traitor?
Isn’t he the backstabber who was the reason for everything that happened?
How dare he show his face!!!
He really has a nerve to appear in front of the woman whom he betrayed and made her lose everything!!
He is truly the most shameless person he has ever seen in his life!!
But what wondered Louis the most is, Why did Layla allow him into her private garden?
What is their relationship??
And why on Earth did she never tell him about Nickolas??
Is she hiding deliberately?? Or, was it just a coincidence??
He asked her to handle most of the matters by herself and only interfere with him if they are related to very important things.
But this is too coincidental to happen!!
What is her intention in hiding everything related to Nickolas from him, her best friend?
Meanwhile, as Nickolas walked to them, Brina felt more nervous.
Her first reflex is to hide but she knows that it’s meaningless now.
It is not that she feared him or she had feelings for him.
It is pure disgust, hatred, annoyance that is left in her heart.
She just didn’t want to cross paths with him and ruin her day.
She swore to see him only on his death day, which had to occur in her hands.
She never wanted him to learn that she is alive, but it seems like it can’t happen anymore.
If Nick was that informer, Layla was talking about, he would have already figured out that Sabrina is alive and she is in front of him in the perfect disguise of Brina.
Helpless and annoyed, Brina could only grip her dress ti-ghtly and ball her fists tempted to punch him.
And, as he walked closer, she instantly got her guards up.
She worriedly looked at her nephew Will who was at the lake and then shifted her eyes to Louis who was actually looking at her now.
Without any wordly communication, Louis un-derstood what she was thinking just by looking into her eyes.
He nodded his head in a-ssurance and he silently gestured to his people to guard Will and Meg.
After his people took their places, securing the lake permesis, he then sque-ezed her hand silently, comforting her that it would be fine.
Louis could only control his urge to stab that man and feed him to his sharks here in the next town.
He would have already done that if it wasn’t for Layla who gestured to him to wait patiently.
“Isn’t he that mere football player who betrayed my dearest child here?” King Edgar asked in anger, meanwhile.
When Brina nodded her head pa-ssively he felt his heart ache for her.
“Don’t worry, honey, we will not let him hurt you anymore” King Edgar comforted her, patting her head.
Brina gratefully smiled. It just reminded her of her own father.
How good would it be if he was alive??
