EPISODE 69
“So, the only thing I am interested in right now is revenge. I need to take revenge for Sabrina and my sister Niccy. At least like that I might find my peace” Nick said.
Meanwhile, Layla listened to him very cautiously, observing each and every detail of his emotions.
His eyes showed how genuine his words are. That sadness, anger in his eyes is not pretentious. It came right from his heart…
But, Layla didn’t want to take chances. Who knows??
He might be pretending!!!
Once a betrayer, always a betrayer.
Or, as a person who got manipulated once, there are chances he would have got manipulated again.
Although the chances of him, getting manipulated are less, she still felt uncomfortable in trusting him.
She has already kept it a secret from Louis.
Not that she wanted to, but she felt he was already having so much in his plate
When he was moving out from the States, he told her to handle every matter and interfere with him only if it is way more important.
She wanted to tell Brina and Louis about this, but she didn’t want to spoil their peaceful vacation.
Moreover, she has to make sure he is genuine before making a decision. And, for that she needs to work with him.
There is nothing she will lose by doing that. She is the boss here.
The only thing is, he shouldn’t find out that Sabrina is alive and she is married to her friend, Louis, who by the way is the crown prince.
And, she is very sure he would not be able to find out till she herself tells him about it.
“I saw the genuinity in you, Nick. I will work with you in attacking that un-derworld gang then” she said, shaking his hands.
She is already formulating the plan in her mind while doing this. And, Nick wouldn’t be able to find out about her double plans because he doesn’t know that she is connected to Sabrina.
According to him, this story is just a story which would a-ssure her about his intentions. Nothing else.
“It will be very helpful for me, Layla. I caused internal rifts in between the rebellion squads and they are very distracted now. Striking their backbone now would be a great downfall to them” Nick said.
If not for the internal drifts he created, there would have been another attack by now.
“I already had my people ready for attack. Now, with your help, we will surely destroy them” Layla said.
She is rather surprised he is the one who caused internal rifts. Louis was telling her how lucky they are that rebellion didn’t strike another attack by now.
So, this is the reason!
At last, Nickolas did something good.
If he doesn’t play tricks and stay loyal, Layla decided to tell Louis about this. And let him decide what to do next.
If it is the other way around and Nickolas is still the same power greedy backstabber, once he was, she will kill this bastard right then and there, without even batting her eye.
No need to interfere with Louis and his wife here.

“Hey, Nick. If your parents disowned you then who are this couple you are taking care of?” she asked, suddenly remembering this.
Nick helped her in many things these years. It is why she felt like he was genuine.
He exp-osed the safe houses, weapon warehouses of the enemy un-derworld gang to her.
He informed her about their each and every dealings, meetings and many other things.
With that help she has started slowly slicing down their power.

And the only thing Nick asked in return is to safeguard a couple from the outer world. He wanted to hide them from everyone.
Their existence was asked to be kept in the dark even now. Even from the people she trusted most.
It is what he asked in return. Just that.
The woman was in coma with internal damage and is being treated. The man woke up from his coma a year ago but he suffered with short time memory loss.
Although he remembers most of the things now, it was years of effort to make him a normal person.
He slowly remembered everything gradually and from the day he started remembering, he hated Nick.
Though Nick used to visit them, that man never talked to him. There is always a fire of hostility emanating from that man and Nickolas on the other side always took it without complaint.
Irrespective of how that man treated him, Nick took care of them.
And, when she asked Nick about this, he told her that they are his parents and they are angry at him for not able to save their daughter.
She didn’t probe much either after seeing their condition. They were in very pitiful condition and needed help.
Layla couldn’t say no. She felt inhumane to do so.
If Louis would have thought like this and didn’t help her in her lowest, she would have been nothing.
So, she always helps the needy.
In addition to this, what he asked her was a very small favor, so she didn’t investigate much about it as well.
The couple he brou-ght are here in the same town. Nickolas visits them whenever he is free, albeit not often.
But he cares for them a lot…
“I lied to you that they are my parents. But they are my fiancée’s parents whom I saved by risking my life. I could only save them from that disaster. My fiancée, her brother, her sister in law and nephew were somewhere inside the building when the disaster happened. I could only save her parents” Nick said.
“However, her father hates me because I am the reason his children died. If I wouldn’t have fallen in the trap and made our enemies use me to betray her family, this wouldn’t have happened.”
“I don’t blame him anyway. The only thing I can do now is take revenge for their children and show them that I am no traitor” Nick said and he walked away.
His mind is so heavy now. He didn’t want Layla to see him in his vulnerable state.
Meanwhile, Layla stood there rooted and shocked.
Brina’s parents are alive!!
And, they are here in the same town!!
Just like she says, Louis is indeed her lucky charm.

*A few days later…*
“All the best, bro” Louis wished Layla as they hug-ged each other and he patted her back
Today, her people would be ambushing the main base of the un-derworld gang that’s helping rebellion.
Layla winked. “I have secret help too, hehe!” she said.
Louis raised his eyebrow. “Secret help? How come I don’t know who your secret help is? Are you hiding secrets from me as well now?” he demanded.
Layla stuck her tongue out, making fun of him.
“You will be shocked. And, I will tell you after coming back… hehe!” she giggled.
Layla might be a strong woman but in front of her best friend who is her closest family, she would let her go.
Meanwhile, Brina just woke up after having a gentle, pa-ssionate night with Louis. After freshening up un-der her husband’s careful ministrations, she went to check on Will who was still asleep.
And when she heard people talking downstairs, she walked down just to witness this heartwarming scene.
It made her remember her and Harry.
She is missing her brother so much but unfortunately, he couldn’t come here.
If he was here with her, she wouldn’t have been anymore happier.
“Can Meg stay here, please?” Brina asked as she walked to them, grabbing both their attention.
Louis smiled warmly at his wife, his eyes mischievous.
“Good morning, love. How are you feeling?” He asked her, hugging her as soon as she approached him.
“I am good. And good morning to you too” Brina answered while Louis hug-ged her and kis-sed her on the li-ps, before making her lean on him.
“I am not asking that. I am asking if you are feeling sore” he said, making Brina palm her face.
Layla cleared her throat. “A single bird is still here you know. Don’t make me eat dog food. Ahh… you are making me remember my boyfriend” she said, pouting.
“I am just returning the dog food,” Louis said while his li-ps lingered on Brina’s ne-ck, kis-sing her gently.
He still didn’t get his enough. He wanted more of her but his wife can’t take his overwhelming pa-ssion more. Not for another six to nine months including her confinement period.
Layla rolled her eyes. “Whatever”
Later, she shifted her attention to Brina and smiled. “Of course, Meg will stay here. She is excited to spend time with her new friend Will” Layla said.
‘Brina, if everything goes well and what Nick said is the truth, you would be meeting your parents very soon. I hope you will reunite with your family’ she thought.
Brina is indeed lucky. She suffered for years and at last she is getting her happy days.
She is even getting help from the people she wouldn’t have expected. Her burden is slowly lifting off from her…
Louis is her biggest help. This un-derworld gang which Layla is running now, flourished because of Louis’s help and leadership.
When she was at her lowest, he stood up for her and proliferated the power and influence this gang has.
If not because Louis insisted Layla to stack the common enemies, she wouldn’t be attacking them anytime soon. However, as she owes him too much and he is also helping her in attack right now, she is set to attack them.
Her second best help is Nick, though it’s indirect, it is the best of all. He created the internal rifts between the enemies and he even severed ties of the enemies with their loyal people. Example : Olivia’s uncle.
Now, he leaked the important information of the backbone power, the mafia in five kingdoms. With them destroyed, rebellion will be at its weakest.
Strike the iron while it is hot.
If every antagonist or Rebellion joins the hands now, the rebellion will crumble and burn into ashes.
For that, Nick has to know the truth and so does Brina.
Louis’s Kingdom, Remus and Brina’s army, Penelope’s Kingdom, Nick’s people….together, then can destroy the rebellion and the main person of it.

After Layla and her for-ces were set out to ambush their enemies, Louis and Brina had nothing to do much.
“Hon, if the attack is successful and Layla takes over the power, my uncle would lose his best ally. They will be weak and confused about what to do, so I think we have to launch our next attack” Brina said that night. Meanwhile, Will didn’t have any fainting episodes recently.
The un-derworld gang which Layla is attacking now is actually her sister in law, Lillian’s maiden family. They have treated her very badly and made her suffer very much.
Her father didn’t even didn’t bat his eyes when it came to helping in killing his own daughter and her family. All he wanted was power. They are cruel people and deserve to die.
Brina, Louis and others discussed very cautiously before they came up with a plan to suppress the rebellion.
They have divided their attacks in three phases.
One is Layla’s attack. That would destroy the manpower the Rebellion has and also some precious connections. If the enemies are defeated, thirty percent of Rebellion squads would be defeated. The extreme wall to reach the core of the rebellion will be shattered in this first attack.
Second is the attack by Remus’ army. The next important for-ce the Rebellion uses is the military of the fallen Kingdom which they took control over. They are used to hold the grip of noble families and others from retaliating.
If Remus’s army succeeds to take over their control back, the other thirty percent of Rebellion squads will be defeated. The intermediate wall to reach the main enemy will also crumble down, leaving them defenceless.
And, the last attack is a very important one. Attacking the core members directly.
And, that would depend on Brina.
However, what she has to do is still not confirmed. It would depend on these first two attacks and the aftermath of them.
“I thought of it, love. And, I already discussed this with Remus, his brother and Harry. They are in the same thought” Louis said. “The second attack would follow the first attack in a matter of days” he said.
