Katrina laid flat on the clinic bed as the nurse performed a scan on her stomach.
Vixen was leaning nearby, watching both katrina and the screen.
” Have you seen it?. That’s the heartbeat of the baby over there.” The nurse said pointing at the body screen
Vixen tilted his ne-ck and nodded even tho he never un-derstood what was on the screen or what was actually going on.
His mind and body had drifted afar. He was busy thinking of his life.
” That’s a sign that she’s pregnant. She’s two weeks gone” The nurse said.
” Two week?. Just two?” He returned back the question.
” Yes.” She said and turned off the monitor screen and came down.
” So. That’s it. Anymore thing you still want to confirm?” She asked and vixen palmed his face, shaking his head.
” No. Thank you.” He muttered and took a very de-eper breath.
Katrina sat up and bu-ttoned up her shirt bu-ttons properly
” You see, vix. I wasn’t lying to you. I’m pregnant.” She said and vixen raised his gaze to meet her.
” I wasn’t saying you were lying. I just wanted to delay my brain from thinking it was true.” He said with a painful smile.
The nurse laughed and picked up her stethoscope.
“I’m sure you guys would fit perfectly well as a new couple.” The nurse smi-rked.
” You think?. What do you think vix?” Katrina asked turning to look at him.
” My brain is not in the mood to think.” He said.
He looked away, meddling on too much thought of his own.
He couldn’t believe this girl was pregnant. He was suppose to enjoy his youthful age and life blossoms and now this stupid…stupid thing pops up.
He slapped himself lightly, hoping he was only dreaming. He ran his fingers into his hair feeling so many goosebumps run on his skin.
” She’s two weeks pregnant. Two weeks!. Vixen, what I’ve you done to yourself!” He muttered, tugging his hair ti-ght.
The nurse turned to look at katrina after noticing vixen wierd behaviour.
” Are you sure he’s alright?”
” Don’t worry about him. I’m sure he’s feeling too joyful about the news.” Kate replied with a smile.
” Okay then. I’ll leave you guys to have some space with yourself while i go attend to some other people.” She said.
” Okay, Bye.” Katrina waved and watched the door close before running down to meet vixen.
She grabbed his arm happily.
” Isn’t this great?. We are going to have our own babies.” She jumped happily but noticed his bored mood.
” What’s the problem, baby?” She asked ru-b-bing his shoulder gently.
” Kate. I’m not ready. I’m not. Just look at me…Do i look like I’m dependent and even ready to get married?”
” What!. Of course, yes. You have a great job, you are 26. You are cool!. I’m sure you will be a good daddy”
” I don’t feel ready emotionally and physiologically.” He said, resting on his cheek.
” Then let terminate it quickly before anyone finds out. I don’t feel ready to have kids either. I just felt that maybe you would love to keep your baby.”
He held her palm and stood up.
” Yes. I really want to keep this baby, but I’m not ready to…you know…start being in the father business.”
” There’s no other roundabout to this, vix. It’s either you terminate the baby and not be a father or you keep it and be a father. Either of the two.” She yelled.
” Arg!. I don’t know what to choose.” Vixen palmed his eyes, walking around the room with his other arm in his pocket.
” Let’s just go for a termination, baby.” Katrina said folding her hands while watching him move around the room.
” No. Let’s discuss this situation effectively before we make a silly mistake.” He said.
” Okay. I’m listening but I have nothing to contribute.” She said, returning back to sit on the bed.
” Look kate. Going for a termination is the best idea for the two of us since we aren’t ready to have kids but…”
” But? But what?. The baby will come to hunt us down after it dies?” She asked, shrugging up her shoulder.
” No. I’m being considerate about your health. I don’t want the same thing that happened to Amy, to happen to you.” He said.
” Wtf!. I’ve done ab-ortion over three times…you know…during my childhood antics. It depends on the pills you use and the type of body you have.”
” Are you supporting this motion that we should ab-ort our baby?” Vixen asked, holding his wai-st.
” Look I’m not trying to support the motion. I just don’t want to make a mistake to have babies for a man who’s not physically ready.” She said and he sighed.
” Fine. I’m feeling quite guilty about this. I don’t think our baby deserves to go down. Its our baby, right?. Yeah, it’s our duty to care for him before he’s born.” He said.
” Some couples like us need this gift so badly but don’t have it, let’s cherish ours okay?.” She asked and vixen smiled warmly.
” You see two heads make a difference.” He said.
She came down the bed and walked up to him, wrapping his hands around him.
” You love me, i love you. I’m pregnant. What do you think is next?”
” So would you marry me?” He asked in de-eper, enchanting voice.
She bit her li-ps se-xily and adjusted his wavy hair off his face.
” Of course, i would. I was waiting so patiently for this good day because i felt so jealous on Xan’s wedding. We should better start making plans.” She said.
” Yeah. We should.” He said and leaned to kis-s her forehead, then her nose…then he prolonged the kis-s on her li-p.

□AT THE BOARD ROOM□
Xan fli-pped open his files and turned to face the crowd of people on the long meeting desk.
” By the end of the week, All the workers will be given extras, added to their salary for commercial reason.” He said and there was joyful murmers.
He began to step around the room with his hands behind his back.
” All the receptionist should see me after work today. You have a brief meeting with me.” He said and stopped moving around.
” That’s the end of my talk.” He said and the smooth applause was given to him.
His gaze landed on his wife who was in the midst of the workers and a devil-like sm-irk appeared on his cheek.
” I would also call on my P.A, to give us some speech as well.” he said.
Amy instantly raised her head and stared at xan with very wide eyes.
” Yes, come out and instruct us as well.” He said, throwing his hands into his pocket.
” Omg.” Amy pouted her li-p cutely as all eyes turned to look at her. She meekly stood up and hastily walked towards the front of the table.
Xan gave her some space as he retreated back to his seat
” Are you trying to disgrace her or what?” Vixen whispered inside his ears.
” No. I’m trying to improve her socially.” He grinned without turning to gaze at him.
Amy cleared her throat and blinked at the large crowd infront of her. She could feel goosebumps all over cheeks and ne-ck.
She took in short breath warm up before starting up.
” Hello everyone. It’s an honor to be here this morning…”
” It’s 2 o clock.” Someone muttered from the crowd. Xan glared at the idiot and that was enough to make him gulp down his life.
Her smile turned wider and meek as her eyes never remained on a sp-ot.
” Sorry. I..i..meant…Afternoon. Sorry.” she apologised and continued.
Her head kept processing what to say but nothing was coming out.
She decided to open her li-ps and wait for anything that slids out of them.
” Um…i love the growth of this company. Yes, i must say, the development is very…good. The staffs are so hardworking. Let’s keep up the work!” She said, hijacking her arm in the air like a pirate.
Everyone stared at eachother, not knowing if to clap or just listen ahead.
She scratched her hair as she continued.
” Um…But there are still some little thing i still find impure here. L..like the window gla-sses, they are never cleaned. I’m sure it would have gathered too much dust. The cleaners should otherwise, do their job.” She said.
She stealed a meek glance at xan and saw that he was resting on his cheek, smiling at her. She took her gaze away already sweating heavily.
” And yes, the cobwebs…there are alot of them in the offices. They need to be cleaned too. A..and the coffee machine, i think it should be replaced with a juice machine.” She said and the whole workers burst out laughing
Xan hit the table and it miraculously shifted to a pin drop silence.
” Continue please.” He told her. She nodded and faced the crowd again, loosing her self confidence already.
She couldn’t say anything for over a minute as she stared at the crowd.
She knew anything she said next would make them laugh at her so she probably won’t talk about the company again.
She breathed in and out before gulping in nothing.
” But despite all of those, we still have beautiful workers who are very dedicated. Everyone works towards seeing the betterment of this office. I’m sure we can improve more on our weakness if we try.” She smiled and everyone clapped their hands, still quite confused.
” Okay. That’s all.” She said, putting her hands behind her and everyone blankly stared back at her.
Katrina picked up a clap again and xan joined in before vixen. Then the rest of the other workers participated in the applause as well.
After the end of the meeting, Amy rushed towards xan and punched his shoulder.
” Thanks alot!” She yelled at his face. Xan laughed, ru-b-bing his shoulder painfully.
” You amaze me every single day, Amy. Do you know that?” he asked and Amy looked at him.
” How did i amaze you?. I was a big mess infront of everyone!. Didn’t you see they almost laughed at me.” She pouted, wanting to cry.
He smiled and took her by her wrist outside.
” I made you do it for a reason. I love you alot for being your true self and not hiding your raw talent even tho what you said was off from the normal business talk.”
” So you mean, you called me out for no reason!” She yelled and fumbled her li-ps together.
” Well I’m glad i did. Some workers approached me after the meeting and they said they loved my speech” She said.
” You see, That’s the benefit. Now you are popular.” He said and she laughed, hugging him ti-ght.
” Can i take you out for lunch?” He asked, adjusting her hair behind her ear.
” Um…” She stepped away from him.
” Amy!. Amy!” Katrina voice rang as she came running along towards their direction.
She quickly turned to hug her ti-ghtly.
” Oh my gosh!. I never believed you could speak like that. Wait…did you and your freaky husband plan this?”
” No. I was shocked too when he called me out. Still a bit upset about it.” Amy pulled an angry face at him.
” Omg. That was so cute. I was so worried that i ended up holding my breath everytime you paused.” She said and hug-ged her again.
” Amy. Can i take you out for lunch?” She asked.
” Sure, yes” she quickly agreed.
” Hey, that’s cheating. I asked first!” Xan said.
” Chill. She’s your wife. You can have lunch with her till the rest of your life.” Katrina muttered.
Xan sighed and fumbled his li-ps.
” I’m jealous now.” He said.
” Awn. Such an addictive husband.” Katrina said .
” Fine. I’m not addictive. Go ahead and have fun with your ‘best friend’ ” He said , rolling his eyes.
The two ladies laughed as they walked away from him.
Xan was about to walk away when vixen came along, whilst hugging him ti-ght from behind.
” Stop behaving like a toddler.” Xan said with a stiff face.
” Xan!. You wouldn’t believe this!!” He yelled.
” What is it?” He turned to face him.
” i just received a message from the TEXT that We won their one year billion dollar contract!” Vixen said.
Xan hands flew to his li-ps.
” Oh my God. You are not serious!.” He said.
Vixen folded his arm staring at him with a blunt expression.
” Gross. You stink when you lie.” Xan said turning his backs at him.
Vixen showed him the proof of the contract deal on his palmtop and xan jaw dropped again.
” My words…” He gasped, widening his eyes in a full moon.
” This calls for a very huge celebration, xan. We need to rock ourselves out”
Xan collected the palmtop and stared at it more closely. It was true. It was actually a contract deal.
He couldn’t believe this. He was rich!!!.
” Add that has part of this month event. We would have an official party to hold” He told him.
…..
RESTAURANT.
Amy and kate had arrived at the restaurant and they ordered for same meal.
Katrina picked up her soda bottle as she su-ck ed throu-ghthe last sip.
” You are really a lucky girl to have xan, Amy.” Katrina said.
” Lucky?. Um…Why do you think so?” She asked.
” I’m starting to realise what a good guy xan is. He’s so smooth…so easy going. I’m sure he deserves a beautiful and meek girl like you too.”
” Stop making me flatter!” Amy laughed.
” You deserve it, bae.” She said and leaned closer to her.
” Tell me, what’s the most weirdest thing xan has done to you.” She asked, grinning hard.
Amy almost choked as the thought of it crossed her mind.
She laughed, covering her li-ps
” During our honeymoon. We swarm na-ked in the daylight and he made me feel so wierd” She said and they both burst out laughing hard.
” What of you?” Amy asked.
” Oh. Vixen and i are legends. We have done so many worthless things together.” She said and sipped throu-ghher drink.
” Can i shock you?”
” Um…okay.”
Katrina leaned close to her ear and whispered silently.
” I’m two weeks pregnant.” She said and Amy covered her li-ps in awe.
” Oh my God. That’s great news!.” Amy said. But de-eper down, she knew katrina would mother a child before her.
She tried to smile and not think negative even tho she was quite shattered inwardly.
” And guess what…we are planning on our wedding soon. Vixen is such an angel”
” Oh. Happy wedding in advance, then.” She smiled and looked down at her plate sadly.
Katrina noticed her slight change of mood. She placed her arm on her shoulder, ru-b-bing them softly.
” Hey. Don’t feel sad, okay. You will definitely have a child of your own. It’s only with a matter of time” She said, ru-b-bing her shoulder.
Amy nodded as her heart and fist clenched.
She pouted her li-ps as tears trickled down her eyes. She burst out crying not minding the guest that were staring at her worriedly.
” Oh geez. Amy, I’m so sorry.” Katrina said looking at the guest. She stood up and pulled her up towards the toilet.
Amy arrived at the toilet and fell her face into the sink as she sobbed more, continously without stopping.
” I’m so sorry for picking up a pregnancy discussion. I totally forgot. I’m sorry.” She pleaded, patting her back.
She could only ru-b her back and say affectionate words to her.
She sighed and didn’t realise the tears that had trickled down her eyes as well.
Amy stood up and rested her head on katrina’s che-st as she shut her eyes ti-ght, fidgeting her body as she wept.
” Even if it’s just one. Just one child.” She said as liquid spurted out of her nose.
” Don’t worry. It’s okay Amy. It won’t be one. Ugh..gosh. you are hurting yourself again.” She said and raised her chin, clearing her tears off her cheeks.
” How about we visit the baby clinic tomorrow.”
” Why?” She sniffed.
” i have a reason. I just need you to come with me, okay?”
Amy sniffed and nodded.
” Okay.” She said.

XAN’S MANSION.
Mrs lewis stepped into Xan’s room and looked around mischievously.
She sighted his file cabinet and went over it immediately.
” I’m sure it’s in here. He can’t hide it from me forever. I’m sure its here.” She said.
Mrs qin walked into the room and caught her scattering Xan’s belonging.
” Yes. I finally found it, ha!” Mrs lewis laughed.
” You found what?” Mrs qin walked in, crossing her arm un-der her bre-ast .
Mrs lewis gasped as she turned to stare at her.
” So you finally came out of your room.”
” That’s not your business. What are you doing in the couples room?”
” That’s not your business too.” She said and tried to walk out but mrs qin stopped her by her wrist
” I’ve changed, mrs lewis. I wouldn’t take any word from you lightly. You called my daughter a barren woman a night ago, it actually pained me to the core and i was stuck crying for 24hrs”
” Woah. What an achievement!. I would love to…”
**SLAP***
A deafening slap blasted on mrs lewis face and the woman fell back on the bed.
” Speak, like you have manners.” Mrs qin said and dragged the paper from her.
Mrs lewis tou-ched her hot cheeks. She was shocked and almost deaf in one of her ears.
” I wonder whats so important in this paper.” She said.
She checked what was inside and was more shocked than mrs lewis.
