Amaya’ pov
“Maya,my little princess”.My dad called on his
sick or you can say dieing bed
“Yes dad,I’m here”.I said admist tears,holding his
hand ti-ght and he smiled
“You don’t have to cry my dear,I’ll be fine”.He
said wiping the tears on my cheeks
“I know you’ll be fine”.I said and sniffed and he
started looking around like he’s looking for
something
“What are you looking for dad?”.I asked
“My princess smile.I don’t know where I left
it.maybe it is here”.He said placing his hand on
my cheeks and parted my li-ps and I smiled
“That’s it.the most beautiful smile ever”.He said
“Dad”.I said smiling and he smiled
“Don’t forget our promise okay?”
“Yes dad.I should always keep the ne-cklace safe
and protect it”
“That’s my girl”
The ne-cklace is a pendant ne-cklace attacked
with a key
“Give daddy a hu-g”.My dad said and I hu-gged
him.I felt like hu-gging him forever but I can’t.I
moved away from him and his eyes were closed
“Dad”.I called in fears tapping his hand lightly
“Dad,no,no,you can’t do this to me,you have a
family dad,don’t leave us dad,please wake up,you
can’t leave us alone”.I cried,shaking him
“Nurse”.I yelled and some nurses came in
“Please check him,he’s still alive,please tell me
he’s still alive”.I shaked the nurse as she
checked my dad
“I’m sorry ma’am but he’s gone”.She said and
walked away,probably to go call a doctor.A
doctor came in and used a cloth to cover him
“No,you can’t take him.He’s not dead,dad please
wake up,they are taking you away,please wake
up,don’t allow them to take you away dad”.I
yelled,crying as some men held me,thinking I’m
probably going insane
“Don’t touch me and remove that cloth from
him.I said he’s not dead,what’s wrong with you
people”.I yelled,trying to free myself from the
men holding me.They didn’t listen to me and
they took my dad out of his ward
“Come back here,don’t take him away,he’s not
dead,he’s just sleeping,he’s gonna wake up
soon,please don’t”.I yelled and a nurse
approached me with a syringe
“What are you trying to do?”.I asked in fear,trying
to free myself
“Just calm down ma’am.it’s not gonna hurt
you”.She replied calmly
“No.don’t do it.I wanna see my dad”.I said and
the nurse inse-rted the syringe into my body
“No.I….wanna see my dad”.I Said weakly before
I fainted

I woke up in the hospital,on a bed and tried to
get up when I felt a drip on my hand.I for-cefully
removed it and went out of the ward
“Ma’am you are not really strong now”.A nurse
said approaching me
“I’m fine”.I said and walked out of the hospital
slowly.I just kept walking on the street and I
didn’t know where I was going
“Dad how could you leave us,how could you do
this to us,you didn’t even consider my
siblings.who will take care of us,I don’t have a
job and mom still continues with her
waywardness.how I’m I gonna take care of Betty
and Donald,they are still young and
schooling,who will pay for their fees,who
will…..”.I was interrupted by people’s shouts and
I looked up to see a car rushing towards me.I
tried running away but I was too late

Episode 2
Ryan’s pov
“Mr Delvin,slow down”.I shouted as the car
moved fast
“The Br@kes doesn’t seem to work anymore”.Mr
Delvin said and my heart started beating fast
“What!!,do something”.I yelled
“I can’t,it isn’t working”.He said looking at the
Br@kes
“Mr Delvin,watch out!!”.I yelled but before we
knew it,the car has already hit a girl.
“Use your seatbelt”.Mr Delvin said and I used
it.He turned the wheel and the car hit a tree
“Goodness”.I shouted and Mr Delvin rushed out
of the car.I also got down from the car and saw
a girl on the floor,laying lifelessly.Mr Delvin
carried her and halted a taxi.We entered the taxi
and the driver turned to us
“My goodness,it’s…it’s Ryan”.The driver
exclaimed
“Yes,please start the car and drop us at a nearby
hospital”.Mr Delvin said in a calm tone
“Can I get your signature?”.The driver asked me
“Are you daft,can’t you see the lady is
deing.come on,start the fu-ck ing car”.I yelled and
he flinched
“Y..yes”.He said and started the car
“Calm down Delvin”.Mr Delvin said
We got to a hospital in no time and we rushed in
calling a nurse.They brou-ght a bed and Mr Delvin
gently placed her on it
“Please,give her immediate treatment”.Mr Delvin
said
“Yes”.The nurse replied and they took her into a
ward.A doctor came out after some minutes and
we both rushed to him
“How is she?”.Mr Delvin asked the doctor
“She’s fine now,she’s a strong girl,she is already
conscious but she’s still weak”
“Okay,can we see her now”.I asked
“Yes”
“Thank you”.My Delvin and I said together
” erm..can I get your signature?”.The doctor
called after me
“Later”.I said and we rushed into the girl’s
ward.She was crying silently and Mr Delvin stood
beside her
“Who are you?”.She asked Mr Delvin in fear
“I’m sorry ma’am,i was the one that ran over you
with my car,I’m so sorry”.Mr Delvin pleaded and
she gaze diverted to me
“R..Ryan,my goodness,Ryan is here”.She
exclaimed
“Hi”.I said waving my hand
“Hi”.She said shyly
“How are you feeling now?”.I asked
“I’m fine,thank you”.She said and sat straight.My
phone began ringing and I looked at the
screen.It was my grandma
“Hello grandma”
“Where are you.you know I’m travelling
today”.My grandma yelled over the phone
“Grandma,we are in a hospital”
“Goodness,what happened?”
“We accidentally hit someone but she’s fine
now”
“Give the phone to the her,let me talk to
her”.She said and I rolled my eyes
“Grandma,she’s fine now”
“I said give her the phone”.She commanded
“Yes ma”.i said and gave the girl my phone
“My grandma wants to talk to you”.I said
“Me?”.
“Yes”.I replied and she collected the phone
“Why did she wants to talk to her”Mr Delvin
mouthed to me
“I don’t know”.I mouthed to him back
The girl gave me my phone after talking with my
grandma and I placed it on my ear
“Yes grandma”
“So I gave her a job at the house,she gonna start
working there from tomorrow and take care of
Amiyah okay”
“Why grandma,we’ve told you we can take care
of ourselves”
“Just do as I say”.She commanded
“Yes ma”
“I’ll be leaving now,your brothers at gonna escort
me”
“Yes.bye”.I say and hung up
Goodness,grandma doesn’t listen to anyone.
“I’ll like to go home now”.The girl said to Mr
Delvin
“Oh.okay”.Mr Delvin said
“What’s your name?”.I asked
“Amaya”.She said standing up
“Okay.My grandma said you are gonna start
working at our house tomorrow but if you don’t
wanna do it you can tell me”
“I will work”.She said and I felt disappointed
“Did she tell you the amount?”
“Yes.Five million dollars”
“I’ll pay you double if you leave the work” I said
and she wide-ned her eyes in shock.She did some
thinking,looking at me and Mr Delvin before
replying
“No”
“wait,what!!!,how could you refuse that offer?”.
“I’m sorry but my answer is no”
“Okay.Mr Delvin will pick you up tomorrow”
“Thank you.Bye sir”.She said to Mr Delvin
“Bye”.Mr Delvin said and she went out of the
ward
“How could she refuse that offer?”.I asked Mr
Delvin and he shrugged his shoulders
Well she’s the one in loss,not me.so I don’t care
“Let’s go”.Mr Delvin said and we went out of the
hospital

Amaya’s pov
I walked out of the hospital and headed
home.I’m really surprised that I’m not dead
because I was hit by a car,I could have joined
dad but I didn’t.About Ryan’s case,I rejected his
offer because of his brother,Dylan.They are
actually triplets but not identical.I have a crush
on him and this is my chance of moving close to
him,I can’t just let it sli-p and for the money,if I
work there for a year,I will get sixty million
dollars,isn’t that much than ten million .I got
home and met my uncle with my siblings in the
living room
“I’m back”.I announced
“Welcome”.My uncle said as my siblings came to
hu-g me
“How was school today? “.I asked squ-atting to
their height
“It was fine”.They both replied
“So why are you doing now?”.
“Uncle is helping us with our home work”.Betty
replied
“Okay, have you guys eaten”
“No”
“Okay,I’ll go make lunch,what about you uncle”.I
asked standing up
“You don’t nee-d to worry about me,I’ll soon take
my leave”
“Okay.I’ll be back in a sec”.I said and went to
the kitchen.My uncle came to the kitchen and I
turned to him
“I’m sorry Maya”.He said
“For what?”.
“Your dad’s death”.
“You’ve gone to visit him”
“Yes and they told me he’s gone.I’m sorry”
“It’s nothing uncle.I’m over it now.My cries can’t
bring him back.I just have to be strong for mom
and my siblings”
“You sure are the true daughter of your
father,you are just like him”
“Thank you.I’ve already got a job”
“Really?”
“Yes,but I’ll have to start leaving there”
“Okay,have you informed your mom?”
“No,I will when she comes back”
“Okay,I’ll be heading home now”
“Okay.bye uncle”
“Bye”.He said and went out
IN THE EVENING
“Come on guys,it’s time to sleep,you have school
tomorrow”.I said
“Please big sis,give us five more minute”.Betty
pleaded
“No,you guys have school tomorrow.so off to
bed”.I said and turned off the tv
“Okay”.They both grumbled and stood up.We
went to their room and I tucked them in their bed
“Our bed time story”.Betty said
“Okay”.I said and picked a book form their
drawer
“Onceupon a time,there was a…..”.I began
reading and they fell asleep as soon as I was
throu-ghwith the story
“I’m sorry guys,I’m sorry for not telling you about
dad.please don’t be angry at me”.I said and
ki-ssed their forehead before going out of their
room.I went to the living room and saw mom
coming in,drunk and staggering
“Mom”.I called and went to her,placing her hand
around my ne-ck
“Let’s go to your room”.I said and helped her to
her room
“Mom,why did you drink again”
“I didn’t drink,where’s your father”
“He’s still at the hospital”
“Hasn’t he died by now?”
“Mom you at drunk,stop saying nonsense and
just sleep”.I said and used her blanket to cover
her body before going to my room.I changed into
my pyjamas and laid on my bed as I drifted to
sleep
.
Dylan’s pov
I went downstairs for breakfast and met my
brothers already seated
“Morning”.I shouted
“Morning Dylan”.They replied as I sat down
“Where’s Miyah?”.I asked
“She’s still asleep”.Ryan replied
“Isn’t she going to school today?”.I asked and
they shrugged their shoulders
“Where’s our food and where’s the new maid
grandma hired?”.I asked
“Mr Delvin has gone to pick her”.Ryan replied
“So we are gonna have to eat until she arrives”.I
asked and Ryan nodded his head
“I’ll order some pizza”.I said
“That would be great”.Kylan said and I went
upstairs
I went downstairs after some minutes and met a
new girl in the living room,standing with Mr
Delvin while others are seated.I could see from
far that she was blus-hing,well who wouldn’t?
“So,this is the new maid”.I said when I got to
them
“I’m not a maid,I’m just here to work”.She replied
without stuttering or bending her head
She’s got some nerves,isn’t it
“What’s the difference”.I asked and she just kept
looking at me
“Don’t you dare look at me like that,get on your
knees”
“Why”.She asked with boldness and I chuckled
“You are asking me why?”
“Yes,why”.She asked and I became annoyed
“Fire her”.I told Mr Delvin
“I can’t”.He replied
“Why”
“Mrs Eva said I shouldn’t”.He said and I exhaled
“Just stop it Dylan,she’s new here”.Ryan said
and I stared at her disgustingly
“Just watch your back girl”.I whispered to her
but she just kept staring at me
“Goodness”.I yelled and left in annoyance
