*The rich girlfriend*đđœââ
*_Chapter 2_*
âI nee-d some airâ, Sasha said to her friends with a sad look on her face and she quic-kly rushed to her balcony to think.
âHmm, you can tell that she really likes himâ, Lilian said to Rachel , as she la-id on the be-d ma-king herself comfortable.
âYou always say that about every guy sheâs d@tÂŁd. And the only time you were right was her last relationsh!pwith Manny and it didn’t even last for two weeksâ, Rachel said, rolling her eyes.
âYouâve not been around the office a lot thatâs why you canât see that she really likes him. Canât you see how unhappy she looks?â
âHmm yeah, you may be right this time. I really canât wait for her to settle down finally. This Phili-pâs death was a b!ow to all of usâ.
âYeah, she was much more tolerable when he was aliveâ.
âWow, is that the b!ow it caused youâ?
âIt wasnât for you?â
âItâs true that she was better when he was alive but itâs a b!ow to me because sheâs been so sad and she canât seem to move on or keep a manâ.
âHmm. It hurts me thatâs she sad too thatâs why I decided to celebr@te the three weeks anniversaryâ.
âWait. Maybe we could get Ben to change his mind and come around and we can all celebr@te it tonightâ.
âHmm, I donât think heâll listen to me after how Sasha acted with this whole celebr@tion thingâ.
âHmm, maybe we could get Ralph to talk to him. Heâs a man so Iâm sure heâll know how to get to himâ.
âIf we inform Ralph, heâll have to show up hereâ, Lilian said, frowning.
âIs there a problem with that? Are you two fighting again?â
âNo, I just didnât… you know what, just call him and inform him about it yourself and get Alicia to come tooâ.
âHmm, weâll talk about this later. So do we make it a pool hangout or a movie night or do we just step out?â
âI think the pool hangout will be best for Ben and Sasha. Being in the pool makes you relaxed and maybe she might loosÂŁn up and have a good time with himâ.
âAs long as she gets into the poolâ.
âWeâll all get in and thatâll get her to also get in. And after pla-ying some few games, we can all get out and leave the two of themâ.
âYouâre a genius. Iâll get to it then. Go and keep her company while I do thisâ.
âOh no, Iâm not re-ady for her to lash out on meâ.
âOr do you want to make the call yourself?â
âNo. Iâll do the formerâ, she said, getting off the be-d and she went to the balcony. Rachel took her phone and got down to business.
****
Sasha and the girls were on her be-d with their eyes buried on their phones.
âYou got to be kidding meâ, Lilian exclaimed.
âWhy? What happened?â
âPhoebe just got the latest Range Rover as a birthday gift from her b©yfriÂŁndâ.
âAnd so? My dad was going to get me one. But I rejected itâ.
âYou rejected it?!â
âCan you st©p acting like a pauper. You know you can afford one or get one from your dadâ.
âFrom my dad? Hell no. I donât want anything from himâ.
âI didnât say that you were going to….â
âSurprise!!â Ralph yelled and he walked in with Alicia and Ben.
âBen!â Sasha called out in surprise.
âHiâ, he said, smiling and he walked towards her be-d and gave her a new bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine.
Lilian and Rachel quic-kly got off the be-d to give them more space.
âDid you all do this?â She asked and they all shook their head.
âThank you, I appreciate itâ, she said, smiling.
âOh she knows how to be appreciativeâ, Ralph whispered.
âI heard thatâ, she said and they all laughed.
âSo are we going to get this p@rty started or not?!â Rachel asked.
âp@rty?â Sasha asked.
âYeah!â
âIâm sorry but Iâll like to spend my time with just Benâ, she said and Rachel grinned.
âThen it su-cks to be you. Cos we all are going to have a pool hangout. Ladies letâs go!â
âLadies?!â Ralph asked and they all laughed.
âSorry, Ladies and gentle man!â Rachel said, emphasizing on the word man.
âAre we using the pool at the t©p or the one the back?â Alicia asked.
âThe one at the t©pâ! Lilian exclaimed.
âGreat, letâs go and leave these two love birdsâ, Rachel said as they were leaving, Ralph interrupted them with a question.
âCan I invite my girlfriend?!â
âNo!!!â They all yelled and they left.
âYour friends are something elseâ, Ben said, laughing as he sat on the be-d by her.
âYeah, they are!â, she said, also laughing.
âAnd uhm, Iâm sorry for just breaking it off and for doing that throu-gh the phoneâ.
âItâs fine Ben. I deserved it for acting outâ.
âNo, I should have just listened to you and…â
âDo we still have the reservation?â
âI called to cancel and even if we still had it, I doubt that theyâll be open at this time?â
âItâs just 10, they close at 11pmâ, Sasha said, smiling.
âAre you sure you want this?â
âYeah. Just call them and letâs goâ.
âOkay, Iâll call them and give you some space to dress upâ, he said and then he walked to the balcony to make the call and wait for her.
âSasha plea-se donât keep too longâ, he said and she chuckled.
âI wonâtâ, she said and he nodded.
******
The girls and Ann were at their movie room watching a movie when Sally yelled.
âShut it. Itâs getting to the best p@rt!â Sasha yelled.
âJustin is d@t!ngVictoria. How can he do that to me?â She said.
âArenât you d@t!ngsomeone else?â Sasha asked.
âAnd so? He canât just move on like that. I wanted him to keep trying to get me backâ!
âYou see your beloved child?!â Sasha said to her mum as she paused the movie.
âWhy would you want to do that to a person?â Ann asked.
âIf he moves on, how will I make my b©yfriÂŁndfeel insecured? I canât let this happen!â She said and she stormed out.
âChrist!! What kind of human being is this?â Ann yelled.
âYou did that to her. You spoilt her so muchâ.
âI didnât do that. Your dad didâ.
âSpeaking about dad, Sammy did you get to speak with dad concerning your internsh!p?â Sasha asked her.
âYeah, Iâll be starting as soon as school breaksâ.
âYouâre going to work for your dad?â Ann asked in shock.
âYeah, I thought I told you about itâ, Sammy said to her.
âI donât remember. Why wonât you work with me?â
âYou alre-ady have Sally, mum. Let her be where she wants to beâ.
âBut I thought you preferred cosmetics to carsâ, Ann said to her.
âYouâve got the wrong twin mum. Sammy has always loved cars since she was littleâ.
âI donât think sheâd remember that since she spent all her time on Sallyâ, Samantha said, rolling her eyes.
âDonât say that Sally. I know you like cars. I just thought that you would grow out of itâ.
âI didnât. Iâm still a car personâ.
âAlright then. Iâm sure your dad would be so happyâ.
âThank you. And uhh Sash, could you make room for an intern?â
âDonât tell me itâs that male friend of yoursâ, Sasha said to her.
âHe wants to start his own real estate company when heâs done with school and so he was hoping that he could work with you to see howâs itâs likeâ.
âThe answer is no. I donât like his sister. She took Manny away from me!â
âNo, you left Manny and he moved onâ, Sammy said to her.
âIâm still not taking him inâ.
âplea-seeeâ.
âIâll think about itâ.
âThank youâ.
*****
Lilian and Alicia were out shopping when they sp©tted Ben and a lady in the supermarket.
âAre you seeing what Iâm seeing?â Alicia asked.
âOh, Iâm sure itâs his sister or maybe a female friendâ, Lilian said.
âNo, that doesnât look like a sister to me. They seem too comfortable and cozyâ.
âNo they… where are you going to?â Lilian asked as she ran after Alicia who was approaching Ben.
âHiâ, Alicia said, smiling.
âHiâ, Ben said forcing a smile and fidgeting with his f!ngers.
âDaddy, can I get this too?!â a little girl who looked between the ages of 4 and 6 asked.
Lilian and Alicia had their jaws drop.

âBaby you can get anything you want. Stay here with your mother and let me talk to my friends hereâ, he said to the little girl.
âNancy excuse meâ, he said to the woman and he walked off with Alicia and Lilian following suit.
âYouâre married?!â Lilian asked.
âAnd youâve got a daughter?!â Alicia asked.
âI was rooting for you, Ben. How could you do this to Sashaâ, Lilian said.
âIf you two would just wait and let me explainâ, he said to them in an annoyed tone.
âFine. Explain but if you lie, Iâll catch you in it!â Alicia said to him as she glared at him.
âIâm not married. I just have a daughterâ.
âOohhh, so you have a baby mamaâ, Alicia said in his face.
âNancy is my ex girlfriend and we had this baby when we were planning on getting married but things didnât go the way we wanted so we called it off and now weâre co parentingâ.
âOh so, does Sasha know abou this?!â Lilian asked.
âNo, she doesnât and Iâm going to tell her. Iâm just looking for the right timeâ.
âRight time? Boy?!! You should have told her on the first day or even on the second day. Youâve waited for three weeks to pas-s and only God knows how long you were planning to keep this informationâ, Alicia said to him.
âOh Lord, this is going to crush her! You better tell her today or weâre going to tell her ourselvesâ, Lilian said to her.
âAnd are you sure thatâs your ex-girlfriend ? With the way sheâs glaring at us. If eyes could kill, weâll be deadâ, Alicia said glaring right back at her.
âWait! Does your baby mama know that youâre in a relationsh!p?â Lilian asked.
âNoâ.
âOkay. Iâm going to tell her nowâ, Alicia said, walking away and Ben pu-ll-ed her back.
âYou have the right to be mad at me for your friendâs sake. But you have no right to say anything to my family! Back offâ.
âI see. Donât tell her today and youâll see what happens. Lilian letâs goâ, Alicia said, pu-lling her hands and they walked into the supermarket.
******
Sasha arrived at her dadâs house and was greeted by her old nanny and cook.
âSasha!! What a surprise!â She said to her.
âAnna!!â Sasha exclaimed and engulfed her in a hvg.
âItâs been a long time since youâve been here. Whatâs the occasion?â
âI c@mÂŁ to bring you back homeâ, Sasha said and Anna gave her a look.
âIâm kiddingâ, she said, laughing and Anna joined in.
âBut on a real though. You belong with us. You practically raised us and itâs sad that my dad is keeping you with himâ.
âHeâs not doing that. I decided to stay. Heâs growing old and heâs alone. I just thought that itâll be best to help himâ.
âThatâs nice of you. But heâs not old. Heâs still in his 50s he can handle himself and heâs not alone. Heâs got women of my age clvstering around himâ, she said rolling her eyes.
âThe more reason I have to be here or theyâll cause him to kick the bucket earlyâ, she said and they both chuckled.
âIs he in? He asked me to meet him for lunch todayâ.
âYeah, heâs in. Heâs at the dining room. And heads up, heâs got a woman and a young man there too. I donât know what the lunch with you is for. But I think heâs seeing the womanâ, she said to Sasha, whispering the last sÂŁntence.
âMmm, thank you for the informationâ, Sasha said, pe-cking her on the cheek and then she walked towards the direction of the dining room.
âAnd here comes my beautiful princessâ, Her dad said, smiling and she rolled her eyes.
âI thought the lunch was going to be just me and you. What are these people doing here?â She asked and the older woman who could be her mumâs age, glared at her.
âJust take a seat Sashaâ, her dad said to her.
âI donât like eating with strangers. So, if youâre not going to tell me what they are doing here, Iâm not going to sitâ.
âRelax Sasha, itâs….â the young man who was also sitting there said and she interrupted.
âDonât talk to me. Iâm talking to my dadâ.
âSasha, plea-seâ, her dad said.
âFine!â She said and she sat opposite the young man.
âThanks for coming Sasha, I didnât tell you that we would have other people joining us because I knew that you wouldnât show upâ, he said to her and she looked away.
âThis is Victoria and we just started seeing each other for two weeks nowâ.
âOh so you wanted me to see your older girlfriendâ, she said and the young man laughed.
âIâll just pretend you didnât say that. And this is her son, Rossâ, her dad said to end.
âNice to meet youâ, he said, stretching out his hand and she ignored him.
âVictoria owns and runs 12 h0tels in the country and Ross is a lawyerâ, he said and she looked away, showing no interest in what he was saying.
âNice to meet you Sasha. Your dad has told me quite a lot about youâ, Victoria said, stretching her hand for a hand shake and Sasha ignored her also.
âDad, I think the best person you should be doing this introduction to is Sally, not me cos I donât careâ.
âWe might be taking this to another level, thatâs why Iâm telling youâ.
âYouâve said this before and I still donât care. Oh wait. I know what this is. You want me to tell mum. But I wonât do that. Youâd have to tell her yourselfâ.
âSasha, I….â
âYou know what, Iâm done. Iâve got other things to do and not to sit here and listen to thisâ.
âSasha, would you sit down?!â Her dad said, raising his voice.
âNo dad, I actually thought that this would be a me and you thing. You made it seem that way and now youâre doing this. Ugh. I nee-d some airâ, she said, getting up and she walked to the kitchen.
She opened the fridge, took an apple and munched on it as she paced back and forth.
âHeyâ, Ross said, walking into the kitchen.
âWhat are you doing here?â
âHey relax daddyâs princess. I donât want to be here too but I was practically f0rç£d by my mumâ.
âIt still doesnât answer the question. Didnât you hear me say that I nee-d some airâ.
âIf you nee-ded air, youâd have gone outside to receive fresh air but here you are in the kitchenâ.
âJust leave me aloneâ.
âWhy are you so feisty? Youâre too pretty to be doing thatâ.
âAnd what gives you the right to tell me what I should be doing?â
âNothing and Iâm sorryâ.
âOkay. Can you go now?!â
âJust so you know. I donât also want my mum to be with your dadâ.
âMmm why?â
âIf that happens, I might not get the chance to ask you outâ.
âAre you hitting on me?â
âTake it however you want it. But when their little relationsh!phits a snag, Iâd be at your door, bearing gifts to ask you outâ, he said, wi-nking and he left.
âUgghâ, she said, scoffing.
******
Ben and Sasha were out on a d@tÂŁ at the beach. They were lying at the shoreline, with their face facing the sun.
Sasha quic-kly got up and spilled water on him.
âWow! You really want to do this? Fineâ, he said and he lifted her in a bridal style and took her to the seashore and then he threw her into the sea. She quic-kly swam out and pu-ll-ed him in.
She was indeed having fun as they were swimming in the sea and chasing each other.
Meanwhile, Alicia and Lilian were arguing on if they should tell her or not.
âItâs been more than a day and I donât think she knows about it yetâ, Alicia said.
âLetâs just wait to out and seeâ.
âWait, she just posted a picture of the both of them at the beach. And it doesnât look like heâs told herâ.
âLet me seeâ, Lilian said and she took the phone from Alicia. âAww, she seems so happyâ.
âThat man is pla-ying her and I donât think heâs going to tell her and heâs just ma-king her fall dee-per and dee-per. We have to tell herâ, Alicia said in anger.
âIf he doesnât tell her by tomorrow, weâll do that ourselvesâ.
*****
Sasha was still at the beach with Ben and she was on her phone, scrolling throu-gh Instagram, when she saw a picture of Ben, a woman and a little girl with the caption âOne happy familyâ.
Her face dropped and she was in shock.
âWhatâs this?â She asked Ben.
