Dennis looked at Dylan a while before snickering.
He walked away from his desk, and sat on the sofa before throwing the iPad he was holding on the center gl@$$ table.
Dylan looked at it. There was a video pla-ying.
It showed when he was pointing the gun angrily at Trina, before releasing a bullet to the air.

“Angry?” Dennis manly voice cut in.
He scoffed, and took out a cigarette, which he placed between his li-ps before releasing out the smoke.
“Cause of your stupid and unnecessary anger,,, you never do things right. I guess that’s why Scarlett is still alive” Dennis said, and puffed out smoke again.
“She has only until summer, I swear. With that pills she takes, she won’t make it. It’ll kill her slowly and gently” Dylan shook his head.
“How many days till summer ends?” Dennis questioned, and looked at him.

Dennis looked away.
“With her still alive,,, only trouble awaits. Just kill her quickly!”
“I promise…” Dylan’s voice shook.
“So,,, what’s on ground now?” He asked.
“She,,, came few days ago”
“Why?” Dennis asked, and quickly turned to him.
“She wants to know where her sister is-
Dennis laughed and Dylan quickly looked down.
“She wants- Dennis paused and laughed again.
“To know where her sister is?” He couldn’t stop laughing.
“You mean…Samantha?” Dennis looked at him, and raised a brow.
Dylan clenched his fist and nodded.

“We?” Dennis scoffed.
“I don’t have a hand in this. All this mess points at Dylan,,, not me. So clear it up” He added.
“But I’m struck. Please,,, tell me what to do. I’m gonna be in a bigger mess if I plan wrongly. For the sake of my family. Especially Ari” Dylan eyes were we-t already.
“Family? What do you know about family!” Dennis shouted and stood up.
He held Dylan collar by its side and squee-zed it ti-ghtly.
“You’re crying? Aren’t you supposed to be strong now Scarlett is back,,, to ruin you!” Dennis screamed and pushed him away.

Dylan sniffed and slowly stood up. He faced Dennis who was now sitting on his desk, kicking the cigarette bu-tt on the ash tray.
“I’m stuck,,, please,, help me” He muttered, trying to hold in his tears.
Dennis smi-rked.
“Bring Samantha to her”
Dylan opened his eyes wi-dely.
“What?”
“She wants her sister,, let her have her. Maybe then,,, It’ll be easier for Phil to die as well. Keep your friends close but enemies closer as they always say” He smiled wickedly.
Dylan ran his eyes around, and nodded.
“Then,, I’ll start searching for Samantha’s whereabouts”
“There’s no nee-d. I know where she is. In fact, I know everything that’s going now. I’m the puzzle piece board itself. I’m the br@in. I’m the master mind” He smiled.
Dylan swallowed ha-rd.
“So,,, where is she now?”

LX adjusted his mask and nodded.
“You deserve it”

Scarlett blinked her eyes and in a matter of seconds, his face is inches away from hers, with his eyes closed.
“Shan kaman (Hold on)” She quickly said, and covered his pouted li-ps with her palm.
LX opened his eyes, and made them big before Scarlett took her hand down.
He coughed slightly in embarr@$$ment.
“Why…are you doing this?” She muttered.
“I think that ki-ss then,, between my CEO and I was a little mistake so,,, why would I ki-ss you for that?”
LX pocketed his hands and slowly faced down.
“Are you a fool or you are just pretending not to know?” He asked.
Scarlett eyes blinked.
“I,,, like you” He whispered softly and slowly and carried his eyes up to her but she quickly threw her eyes away.
“Why?” She couldn’t look at him.
“I…I’m confused,,, Why would you like someone like me? Its gonna be a pity for you so,,, stop liking me,, please”
“But you like me too-
“As a soloist, a star, an idol,,, and that’s all. Why would I even like you as a man? Does it makes se-nse to you? An idol and a mere secretary. Get back to your se-nses. We don’t even fit” She snapped, with teary eyes.
LX faced down.
“It doesn’t matter. Either way,,, I’m gonna wait and I’m not gonna get tired”
“Don’t wait,,, just,,, leave me alone” She muttered and quickly left.
LX sighed dee-ply and wiped away the tears falling down his eyes.

“I really wanna say yes,,, but I thought about it. Nothing is gonna profit me if I date a guy now. Guess how he’s gonna feel when I leave after summer” She sobbe-d.

“Mum,,, I’m back” Scarlett sniffed.
Marie was sitting down on the sofa smiling.
“By the way,,, I told you I’ll be late. Why didn’t you sleep?”
“How would I fall asleep knowing today comes around only once a year. Its your birthday”
“So,,, What’s the deal?” Scarlett scoffed and sat close to her.

Marie sighed.
“Did anything happen? Did the pa-rty not go well?”
“It did” Scarlett sighed and la-id her head on her mum’s thi-ghs.
“I have a gift for you” Marie smiled, stro-king her hair.
“Gift? What’s that?” Scarlett quickly looked at her.
Marie giggled and used her hands, in searching for something close to her.

“Mum,,, This is- Scarlett paused and arched her brows.
“Yes,,, I’ve finished knitting it after all this months” Marie said.
Scarlett took the strong and hu-ge cardigan from her and unfolded it, giving it a better look.
“Mum” Scarlett whispered, with her eyes getting too teary now.
“Winter is few weeks away. I wouldn’t want you catching cold. Besides, you and flu are like 5 and 6. I ought to be extra vigilant about you this year” Marie said.
Scarlett suddenly bursted out in tears.
She couldn’t hold it anymore. She had struggled enough. She had to rele-ase the tears.
She cried out loudly like a baby, that Marie became scared.
“Baby Lett? You okay? Talk…talk to me,,, please” Marie rushed her words in a worried manner.
“I’m…happy. I’m so happy, Mum. I’m really happy,,, that’s why I’m crying”
“You sure?”

Scarlett quickly dived into her and hu-gged her ti-ghtly, like it was her life.
“Thank you, Mum. Thank you so much” She kept on crying.
“It’s okay. Its fine” Marie patted her.
Marie was worried though.

Scarlett sniffed and hu-gged the cardigan ti-ghtly.
She sat on her be-d slowly and looked at it.
“Mum,,, I’m sorry. I won’t be able to make use of this despite using all your strength, with even your blindness to knit this. What to do? I feel really bad and sorry” She started crying again.
20 MINUTES LATER**
Scarlett took out her notepad and looked at it.
She ticked;
7) A ki-ss from my boyfriend on my birthday ☑
“At least I got a ki-ss,, even if it ain’t my boyfriend. In fact, No boyfriends for now” She sniffed again and closed the book before keeping it in.
She looked at the lemon colored cardigan and breathed in dee-ply.
“As for you, I ought to wear you,,, during summer… at the office. Its now or never. Say hello to my bo-dy on Monday” She smiled briefly.
Afterwards, She took her drugs.
DYLAN’S HOME**
“Mum?” Ari called softly and her mum turned to her.
“Dad,,, Won’t he be coming home tonight? Its really late” She sniffed.
Her mother sighed.
“Sleep Ari,,, Your father called already. He won’t be coming tonight”
“Why?!” Ari shouted, almost crying.
Her mother shook her head and pulled Ari close.
“I don’t know. He never told me but I’m sure its cause of work”

PHIL’S MANSION**
Phil has been restless.
Him of all person, knew the reasons why.
He was angry that LX came and spoilt his mood.
He was angry LX looked at Scarlett then.
He even smiled while looking at her.
“He’s always a parasite” Phil cooed, and sat upright on the couch.
He grabbe-d his phone and began to use it, just suddenly, he got a text from Trina.
*Hey,, I missed your call. What’s up?*
*Dad wants a family’s dinner tomorrow*
*Tomorrow is a Saturday. I wanna change my wardrobe*
*The dinner is important, dummy!*
*Get out, fool*
*Get lost, dullard! If you like, don’t come, Dad will certainly lock your cards!*
*Urghhh!! Wae!!!*
Phil hissed and dropped his phone.
“I just pray Oscar never accepts you” He shook his head, and sighed dee-ply after his thoughts went to LX and Scarlett.
“What are they doing right now? They better not be ki-ssing or making out cause she ki-ssed me first” He muttered and tou-ched his soft li-ps.
He smiled, without knowing.
