The next morning, Malcolm left the house without telling or checking up on Ariana.
He simply took his briefcase and walked out. His arm was already getting better so he took off the cast.

“Girlfriend?? Tell me! Since when??” Mr Chad frowned, causing de-ep wrinkles on his forehead.
“I don’t know what to say” Malcolm shrugged his shoulders.
“You’d better know what to say cause while your mates were busy making hit albums and recording successful hits,,, You were falling in love, unnecessarily with a nobody!”
“She isn’t a nobody!!” He shouted, pointing his finger at Mr Chadwick, who almost flinched.
“Geez,, You don’t have to get upset” He shivered.
“Now, I know you truly love her” He smiled.
Malcolm hissed and looked away.
“So,,, when will you be recording something?? Its been a month and besides, your fans are missing you”
Malcolm sighed.
“I’ll see what I can do”
Mr Chadwick for-ced a smile and watched him leave the room.
“That’s what he has been saying since 2 weeks now” He M0-ned.

“You’ve got to be kidding me! You mean,,, your dad didn’t agree to fire that boyfriend snatcher??” Mimi snarled.
Gina pouted sadly and nodded.
“Why not?? I thought you’re daddy’s best girl??”
“I thought so too,,, not until yesterday. He just gave me a lame excuse why he would never fire her”
“And what excuse was that?” Mimi rolled her eyes, and folded her arms.
“He said the hospital is facing loss, and the diamonds he saved got away so he nee-ds Cindy, who happens to be the well known and best doctor in R-breeds to continue her work there,, as her presence fetch money in the hospital”
“And what about you? Aren’t you well known? Aren’t you the best? Don’t you fetch money too?? That Cindy just doesn’t want to snatch your boyfriend but your fatherly love”
“Never. I don’t want that to happen. Mimi,,, what should I do?” Gina asked, sadly.
Mimi smiled.
“Let’s get rid of her”
“How??” Gina asked, with wide-ned her eyes.
“Hmm…I don’t know how you’re
react to this but personally, I like it”

Mimi gestured to her to come closer and she did.
“How about we set up guys who would take her, to the outskirts of the city, and kill her” She whispered.
Gina shook her head, vigorously.
“No,,, please. I don’t want blood and death. Don’t you have a better idea. You are a good idealist so you can think up of something better than that. I just want Cindy out of the hospital and Oliver’s life”
Mimi sighed, and stood up. She walked to Gina and sat down, close to her.
She opened her bag and asked Gina to peep into it.
“Did you see that?” Mimi asked, after Gina took her face to her.
Gina wide-ned her eyes.
“Isn’t that ha-rd drugs?”
“Sshhh!” Mimi pouted.
“Its cocaíne,,,and I have the prefect idea now”
Mimi smiled but Gina stared at her. nervously.

Ariana sniffed, while looking around. She was looking for the duck toy which Malcolm threw out of his window, last night.
“Where are you, ducky?” She muttered.
After 35 minutes of unfruitful searching, she went back into the house.
Just then, Malcolm came. He saw her watching TV.
Ariana looked up at him, but he didn’t say anything. He gave her cold thrills as he walked past her, into his room.
Ariana sighed sadly and looked down.
R-BREEDS HOSPITAL**
The nurse followed Cindy from behind, humbly. They both entered the ward and they stopped at one of the beds.
The nurse checked the drip and Cindy checked the blood pressure of the person. The pulse too.
Cindy signalled to the nurse who handed the pink file and pen to her
She opened it and filled something in it. The nurse took the things back and gave her a filled syringe.
Cindy checked the syringe out and was about injecting into the patient’s wrist when the door suddenly flung open. written by sommy pearl f.
Everyone turned their faces to the door and gasped loudly seeing uniformed men about 3 in number, enter the ward.
“Who are they?” Cindy whispered but nobody gave her a reply.
“Who is Doctor Cindy Keepers here?” One of the men asked, hoarsely.
“I….Any problem?” She asked, taking her former raised arm down.
“Yes,,, there is” They walked to her.
They showed her their IDs briefly.
“We are from the Korea agency for food and drugs and we got a report saying you harbor cocaíne here”
Cindy wide-ned her eyes, and for-ced a laugh.
“Excuse me? Cocaíne?? Sorry. You got the wrong person” She shook her head.
“We did a quick search at your office now and saw this” One of the men shoved a small transport bag which was filled with the substance
“What’s this?? That’s not mine” She shook her head.
“Miss Cindy,,, You’re being arrested right now for possessing illegal and ha-rd drugs in your abode. And according to the law, you’ll be arrested and taken to cell” He handcuffed her.
“Wait,,, you kidding me, now??” Cindy looked around, watching the staring eyes.
“You nee-d to come with us quietly and of course, you’re free to get an attorney. Remember that anything you say from now,,, will be used against you in the court of law”
Cindy scoffed, and soon she was led away.

“Gosh. Who did this??? I don’t remember taking this to my office. Malcolm will kill me if he hears this” She bit her li-ps, in thoughts.
“Did you check the CCTV?” One of the men asked.
“Yes. But there was nothing. However, we found Miss Cindy’s fingerprint allover the cocaíne bag” The other replied.
“Sh!t” Cindy muttered.
“What of Team 2??” The man asked.
“Any progress yet?” He added.
“They haven’t gotten to her apartment yet but they promised a thorou-ghsearching”
“What?? My apartment?? No,,, please. A bigger bag of cocaíne and more are in there” She shook her head.
“I must do something” She nodded, and looked around.
The 2 men were looking at her, seriously. She was seated alone. but she was just opposite the 2 officers who sat together.
The 3rd was driving.
Cindy slowly took her handcuffed hand into her pocket and hastily, brou-ght out the syringe.
She quickly stretched and stabbed it, severally and aggressively on the 1st man ne-ck. Blood flowed and he gr-unted.
It was so sudden and they weren’t expecting it. The 2nd officer held her ne-ck from behind, with his arm, and tried choking her.

He fell and she quickly took the keys and unlocked it, then took the gun, before holding it against the driver’s head.
“Stop the car before I shoot” She whispered.
With shivering hands, the van came to an halt and she jumped out.
“Freeeeee” She smiled, with her arms, widely spread sideways.

“Why are you smiling??” The officers asked, in unison, after exchanging puzzled glances.
Cindy quickly snapped out from her thoughts and kept a straight face. She looked around. and swallowed ha-rd.
“Darn. I knew it! I thought too far….Aiish” She muttered, and the van drove fas-ter.
