Chapter four

“I see that you don’t value your life.”, He said as he walked towards her filled with anger.
He grabbed her ne-ck and started choking her with for-ce, it is best that he gets rid of her right now.
Harley couldn’t fight back because of her hands that were tired, she just coughed as she just hoped that he reconsiders.
“I need to get rid of you.”, He said and the weather changed, darkness was all over.
Suddenly he withdrew his hands as he placed his hand on the right side of his ne-ck and groa-ned in great pain.
“Arrrgh!!!”, He groa-ned in so much pain as the mark on his ne-ck turned dark red.
Harley looked at him and she became very scared, she doesn’t un-derstand what was happening to him because he looked like he was in great pain.
Why was he even in pain? Was it because he slept with a vir-gin ?
He was looking completely different from the cold and heartless lord Cyrus.
“Lord Cyrus are you okay?”, She asked but he didn’t reply.
“Get out!!!”, He yelled at her but she couldn’t go, she was tied down.
He hurriedly loosen her and she dressed up.
“You won’t remember what you just saw.”, He said as he removed that part of her memory and then afterwards he threw her out of his room.

Alex had offered to help Harley to her room but she refused, she was too embarra-ssed seeing him look at her with so much pity.
He saw blood coming out from her un-derneath and he wondered what on earth happened because lord Cyrus doesn’t sleep with them and keep them alive.
“Have a good rest.”, He said and she nodded as he entered the room.
Harley was happy about the fact that everyone was ok the training ground, so no one saw her in that condition.

“Lord Cyrus are you okay?”, Alex asked as he rushed to meet him, seeing the condition he was in.
“You can leave now.”, He replied as he recovered from the torture of the mark.
Whenever Cyrus looses his temper and is about to commit an offense, he would always feel pain that is to bring him back to his senses.
“I slept with her … A vir-gin .”, He said to Alex.
“We have to kill her.”, Cyrus said.
“She is just an innocent you g girl, we can just punish her.”, Alex said hoping to change Cyrus’ mind.
“That won’t stop me from getting attra-cted to her, neither will it break the bond we have formed. You know that if I don’t get rid of her, she will be the only one capable of satisfying my urge. I can’t afford to have a weakness again, I can’t give in to my enemies especially Magnus, once he finds out that I have a weakness, he won’t stop.”, Cyrus said to Alex who said nothing.
Cyrus was right about the weakness part and what will happen if they don’t break that bond they created but still Alex didn’t want death to be involved.
“I know you have vowed never to have anything with a lady because of what happened to Ariel but ….”
“Don’t you dare bring up her name or you won’t survive what I will do to you.”, Cyrus said angrily and Alex clammed his mouth shut Immediately.
“How could he forget how much his master hates bring reminded about Ariel?”
“You can leave now, you are not needed for anything, check the training ground and make sure it is going on well.”, He ordered and Alex bowed and left.
He got to the training ground and watched everyone and they were doing fine.
After some hours, they were done and the students retired to their room.
“Hey!”, Alex said to Emily but she just ignored him.
Everyone knows Emily as a quiet person but people that she has talked to called her rude whenever she opens her mouth to speak.
Alex has loved Emily for a year now and he has proven his love for her everything but she was yet to give him a chance.
It was obvious that she feels the same for him but she just doesn’t want to give herself false hope for a relationship bound to end tragically.
“What do you want?”, She asked not looking at him.
“I have missed you so much, I didn’t get to see you yesterday, I was worried.”, He said and Emily felt happy that at least someone still cares for her but one thing just scares her, she doesn’t want to lose Alex, she doesn’t want Alex to lose interest in her.
“I wasn’t feeling too well.”, She replied and he hu-gged her.
“I’m sorry that I didn’t notice, next time you are sick, just tell me about it okay?”, He said and she nodded.
“I have to go, we shouldn’t be seen together.”, She said as she disengaged from his hu-g.
“Okay, you should have some rest.”, He said as he ki-ssed her quickly.
“I have to go now.”, She said shyly as she quickly left his sight.
“Emily are you guys dating now? You have a boyfriend? Tell me about it.”, ru-by demanded when Emily got to her.
“Mind your business.”, She said trying to push ru-by away but ru-by wasn’t that type of person that will leave you alone.
“I can’t believe he ki-ssed you, how did you get Alex, lord Cyrus right hand man to fall for you? I don’t even have a secret admirer.”, ru-by said with a frown.
“Who is he then?, Isn’t he your boyfriend?”, Emily asked looking at Liam.
“He’s Liam, my new friend.”, She replied and Emily nodded.
“So tell me are you guys dating?”, ru-by asked and Emily hissed, she tried distracting her from asking questions but ru-by was just too persistent.
“So you are straight after all.”, ru-by said playfully.
“There is nothing between us, I don’t owe any explanation.”, She said and ru-by just nodded.
This was actually the first time that she engaged Emily into a conversation and she didn’t want to pressure her.
“I will see you guys later.”, Liam muttered and ru-by waved, Emily only nodded.
They got to the room and they met Harley crying.
“Harley are you okay?”, ru-by asked as she rushed to hu-g her while Emily just stared at Harley from where she was sitting.
“He’s so cruel, he was so ha-rd on me.”, She said admist tears.
“You should have just said that you weren’t a vir-gin .”, ru-by said as she hu-gged her ti-ghtly.
“vir-gin or not! They are still going to sleep with her anyway, the only difference is that if she isn’t a vir-gin , lord Cyrus would sleep with her and if you are a vir-gin , it will be one if his guards or superior.”, Emily said.
“How about you run away from this place?”, ru-by suggested.
“What do you think Emily?”, She asked for a opinion and Emily just shrugged.
“To me, it is a bad idea. Remember that they have every details about you in the registration office, they can just check for address.”, She replied and ru-by just sighed.
“I’m sorry that this happened to you.”, ru-by said as she pat Harley.
“How are you still alive, didn’t he find out that you were a vir-gin ?”, Emily asked.
“I don’t remember anything after he said he would kill me.”, She replied and ru-by and Emily just looked at themselves surprised.
“Just have some rest.”, ru-by said.

#Next day
Harley was feeling much better, her back was slowing healing and she didn’t feel much pain un-derneath unlike yesterday.
She tried to remember what happened after lord Cyrus realized that she was a vir-gin but she just couldn’t remember.
Everyone was outside doing their morning exercise.
lord Cyrus and Alex just stood in their front watching everyone.
Alex on the other side smiled at Emily but she looked away immediately.
she didn’t want to get into trouble with anyone.
Lord Cyrus’ cold landed on Harley and he clenched his fist angrily.
He Hates her for making him form a bond between but he knew for sure that he was going to do everything he can to break the bond, he can’t afford to be weak all because of a lady.
Harley looked up, meeting Cyrus’ cold eyes and she quickly looked away.
She wasn’t sure of what she felt at that moment but being the man that took her vir-gin ity, she was shy to look at him.
“Cyrus, Alex didn’t allow me to see you yesterday. He kept insisting that you wanted to be alone.”, Emily said as she interlocked her arm into that of Cyrus.
“Yes I wanted to be alone.”, Cyrus said not sparing her a glance.
His eyes were still glued to Harley but he later took them away because staring at her alone, makes his blood boil.
“You know that I love you right and I will always be there for you.”, Emily said and Alex scoffed, making her to glare at him.
“I told you to kill that your stu*pid feelings, they are not important to me.”, He said looking de-eper into her eyes.
“You can consider me and give me a chance, I will never leave you and I will make sure I stay by me no matter what. I really love you so much Cyrus.”, She said sincerely.
“I only care about you as someone close to me, you shouldn’t develop any baseless emotions that will only make you so weak.”, He replied and Alex nodded happily.
it’s not that he doesn’t want cyrus to end up with anyone but he just doesn’t like Emily for him, she’s too proud and wicked.
“But Cyrus…!”
“Not a word from you Emily!”, He said sternly and Emily looked away so pained.
This wouldn’t be the second time that she would be rejected by Cyrus and everyone can testify how much she loves Cyrus.
“That’s enough! You can rest for a while and have breakfast, then come back for your training and everyone that is late will be severely punished.”, Cyrus said and everyone got dismissed.
“How about we ….!”
Emily turned to talk to Cyrus but he was already far away.
He didn’t even inform her that he was already going.

“I saw you staring at lord Cyrus throu-ghout the exercise.”, ru-by pointed out to Harley.
“Maybe she likes him.”, Liam replied playfully and Harley nodded.
“I don’t know why, I am supposed to hate him for what he did to me but I don’t hate him and I feel different…like we have a connection — I don’t un-derstand, the way he looks at me, I …. I just don’t un-derstand what I am feeling.”, Harley said and Liam and ru-by just looked at him not believing their ears.
“Wait!!! let me try to un-derstand you Harley, you like lord Cyrus?”, she asked and Harley shrugged.
“That’s what I want to figure out or maybe I just admire him.”, She replied.
“After everything, you still admire him? I really admire your kind of women.”, Liam said.
“I will advise you to stop whatever feelings you are having, it is lord Cyrus we are talking about, he is an heartless being. He doesn’t love and he doesn’t have a heart.”, ru-by said and Harley just sighed.
“I haven’t fallen for him yet, I am just …!”, she trailed off not knowing what to say.
“Don’t whatever you are feeling, please get rid of it. lord Cyrus is a very dangerous and heartless person and he can never reciprocate your feelings.”, ru-by said concerned.
“I won’t fall for him, I have a boyfriend that I can’t cheat on.”, Harley said.
“You can’t even have his heart with Emily being there, that lady is a witch.”, Liam said and ru-by nodded.
“let’s just go and eat, I am famished.”, Harley said trying to change the topic.

“Will keeping her alive, do me any good?”, he asked Alex.
“I suggest that we give it a chance, she might be useful to us.”, Alex suggested and Cyrus just sighed.
He has been feeling so restless ever since he left Harley alive, he just doesn’t want to keep her alive.
He clenched his fist angrily, his hatred for her is more than what he can control right now.

“I just thought of something Harley, are you curious to know what happened after lord Cyrus had threatened to kill you?”, ru-by asked a d she nodded.
“I can help you with that.”, she offered.
“I can read memory.”, she added and Harley gasped.
“Wow you have a cool power, I wish I could read memories too.”, Harley said.
“Same here.”, Liam agreed.
“it’s really nothing special, not everyone needs their memory to be read if they can remember it.”, She replied.
“Well it is special to me.”, Harley said.
“So can I read your memory?”
“Let’s do it but I hope that it doesn’t hurt.”, She asked and ru-by a-ssured that it doesn’t.
Harley closed her eyes and so also did ru-by too who was standing behind her.
ru-by placed her hands on her head and the memory started flashing back.
ru-by quickly stopped reading when she got to the part that he found that she was a vir-gin , she didn’t want to see the terrible thing lord Cyrus did to Harley.
Harley opened her eyes and looked at ru-by totally speechless.
“Do you remember now?”, Liam looked at the both curious already and Harley nodded.
Harley had so many questions.
“Why was he In pain?”
“Why did he want her to forget seeing him that way?”
“How did he get the mark?”
“Does he hate vir-gin s because of that pain he felt?”
Everything about him was just making her more curious about him.
She can’t even get him off her mind, nothing was helping.
Seeing him in pain at that moment, broke her heart. He looked like an innocent kid who needs protection as well.
“I must find out everything him on my own.”, She vowed.
“Maybe I will get some information in his room.”, She thought.
