” I don’t think it will work out for the both of us. I’m scared if this is actually lvst or something. ” She said with her head down.
” Look at me, Cax. ” She looked at me, ” Well, I don’t think that’s something else. That’s love. You love him, and I know he does love you too. The only reason why you feel this way is because you have gotten the chance to talk to him and you know… express your feelings. ”
” Not that I’m asking you to do that now, no. First, get to know each other, have a brief chat or anything. But try not to be too forward at expressing your feelings. You know, not every man loves girls who are too forward towards personal things. ”
” But… ”
” You’re shy, I know. Michael is damn handsome if I may say and, he’s got the sweet super looks too. So it’s really not your fault falling in his tra-p, those beauty of his actually caused it. ” We laughed. ” On the other hand, I can help you talk to him if you want? ”
” Diana? ” Her eyes wi-de-ned.
” Just trying to help tho. ”
” No, not now. ”
” If you say so. ” We stood up to return back to the castle. I stretched, yawning tiredly. As we started walking, I don’t know how but the next thing I heard was a scream of my name.
” Diana, watch out! ” Then Cax turned me to the other side while she stood where I was standing. She stood still like a statue and I waved my hand at her.
” Cax, are you alright? ” I asked, cos she was beginning to freak me out with the way she was staring at me. She vomited a hvge blood from her mouth, then falling on my b©dy.
I saw an arrow sh0t at her back, just above her heart. A paper was attached to it. I cut the arrow into half, taking the paper from it. She coughed out again blood as I slowly fell to the ground with her still on me.
” You’re gonna be okay, I promise. Just don’t die okay? Don’t die… not now… plea-se. ” I t©uçhed her cheeks.
” It’s… not just… ” She gro-an ed painfully, ” It’s not just… an arrow, Diana. It’s mixed with.. wolfsbane. ” She f0rç£d herself to speak. ” And… it’s hurting me… inside. ” She fainted.
I shaked her several times but she wasn’t responding. I also called her name but she was far to hearing me. Then I was left with no other option but to call for help. ” Someb©dy help!! Anyone, someb©dy plea-se help!!!”
Michael and Greg ran up to where I sat, holding Cax’s almost cold b©dy. ” What happened to her?” Michael curiously asked.
But, what can I say? She got hurt trying to save my life. I couldn’t talk, I sat on the field, weeping like a kid. Is she gonna be alright? Will she make it??

” What happened? ” Bella questioned me while the doctor studied Cax’s condition.
” I don’t know how it all happened but someone wanted to shoot me with that arrow but she… ” I paused, ” she saved my life. ”
” Did you see who it was? ” She asked again.
I shook my head, ” I didn’t know someone was planning on shooting me. I think she saw the person, that was how she was able to save me. Here… ” I gave her the paper that was attached to the arrow. ” It was sh0t with the arrow. ”
She unfolded the paper, staring at the writing. It writes; ” I’m coming for you all… ”
” Who could this be? ” She wondered.
” Reyhon. ” Michael said without hesitation. ” Not after what Derek did to him, he’s here for revenge. And that dude, he’s never gonna rest. ” He stormed.
” Michael, you have to calm down, okay. She’s gonna be alright, I trust what doc can do. And besides, she’s a wolf too. ”
” That’s why I nee-d to be bothered, because that arrow contained a wolfsbane. And it’s gonna affect her wolf. ” He said bitterly.
” Doctor, how is she? ” Bella asked.
” I think she’s getting a bit better, I’d say. Thankfully the poison didn’t get to her heart. But I think she nee-ds a long rest. ”
” How long? ” Asked Micheal.
” A day. I’ll be here in the next five hours, I have to check how far she is improving. ” He t©uçhed Micheal’s shoulder. ” Don’t worry, she’ll be fine. Trust me. ”
Micheal nodded his head.
He left.
” You two nee-ds some rest too, I’ll stay with her. ” He said and Bella and I both nodded our heads.
Why didn’t I see this coming? How was that possible I didn’t feel the danger on time? Who might have done this treacherous act, and most of all why would Cax sacrifice her life to save mine??
I spent the rest of the day without eating. And I won’t mind starving myself until tomorrow. I won’t have a free mind until she wakes up, and whosoever that son-of-a-bit-ch is behind this, should better start counting the last of his days.
And if truly it is Reyhon who had done this… Then he better consider himself dead… for good.

I stared at her innocent face. We haven’t gotten the chance to know each other yet, and she has to die… Just like that?? I don’t know why my heart was feeling this way for her but, I won’t dare to question it.
If this was actually fate’s will, them I’ll do whatever it takes to protect her. I’ll just have to make all her enemies, my enemies…

That evening, the doctor c@m£ to check on her as he had said. Her b©dy seemed to be getting better, and with the help of his drugs, it was able to prevent the poison from spre-ading all over her b©dy.
” How is she, doc? ” He asked.
” She’s getting better. ” He as-sured them. ” Guess her recovery is quic-ker than I thought. ”
She j£rked up, g@sping as she started whimpering softly. ” Hey, hey, it’s okay. It’s okay. ” Michael said as he gently la-id her back on the be-d.
Diana climbe-d on the be-d, crawling to her b©dy. ” Hey, ” she whispered and Cax slowly moved her eyes to her. ” You’re alright. You’re gonna be fine, that’s what the doctor said. ”
” You… you’re alive. ” She said faintly.
Diana nodded, ” Yeah, that’s because you just saved my life. Thank you, Cax. I promise I’ll never forget what you did. ” She k!$$£d her forehead, stepping out of the be-d.
” My sister, you have to tell my sister.” She sniffed, ” You have to tell her or she gets worried. ”
” Don’t worry Cax, we alre-ady did that. ” Bella told her.
” Thank you. ” She breathed slowly.
” We’ll leave you two. ” They all excused themselves, leaving the two of them.
Cax moved her eyes to her side to see Micheal, she never expected to have him look after her. ” You nee-d to get some rest too. ” She told him but he shook.
” I alre-ady have enough rest.” He held her hand. ” You’re gonna be okay, I promise. ” She nodded dully.
Tears rolled out of her eyes, staining her cheeks. ” I’m sorry. ”
” For what? ”
” You’re troubled because of me. ”
” Hey, it’s not your fault, okay? Maybe I should be the one apologising. ”
” No, you shouldn’t. You didn’t do anything wrong. ”
” I did. ” He plainly said. ” If I had told you on time, if I had left the shame and just say it all, I don’t think this would have happened. ” He said with guilt.
” What are you talking about? ” She asked, staring into his eyes. Not really sure she un-derstood why he was blaming himself.
He looked away, hesitating at the words. She held his face to look at her, ” Talk to me, I’m listening. ”

” I love you, Cax. ” He admitted.
I swallowed ha-rd . I honestly don’t know what to say, I’m speechless and the words just sounded like a bomb in my ears.
My heart beating ha-rd like it was gonna explode any moment from now. And for the first time I felt the words were real.
Did he just said he loves me??
Yeah, I guess I heard that right…
I looked away, not wanting to stare into those eyes, they held truth and… I couldn’t behold it.
” Its okay to think I’m framing this up but… I’m for real, Cax. ” He held my hand again, ” I really am. ”
” I know but… it’s just so difficult to accept the words. Since my whole life, I’ve never had someone who could sincerely say that to me. But hearing it from you, I feel like… I don’t even know how to explain it. ”
” You don’t have to, I un-derstand. ”
I didn’t know when the h0t tears escaped my eyes. I was trying to prevent it from falling but it went ahead, rolling out. He ru-bbe-d my cheek, drying my cheeks with his right thumb and this time I try not to look away. Staring into his eyes was like staring into heaven, I felt safe into those gaze, welcomed into a different world.
This time, I believe in this different world, and I trust it too. We were staring at each other for what took like seconds, his eyes on myl-ips as he drew his face near to mine. He was dangerously close. His eyes, which were the most beautiful colour of forest green, intensively boring into my own dilated pupils.
I don’t know what he was trying to do but, I hope it wasn’t what I was thinking. My heart was beating fast cos this was actually my first time (if actually it was definitely what I was thinking.)
That was it, I felt hisl-ips pressed on mine. They were soft, and I felt moonlight danced in my stomach, my eyes closed as I reveled in s-en-sations. My b©dy by the will of its own, responded to the k!ss. Myl-ips slightly p@rted as I re-leased a soft m0@n .
As my mind went blank, my eyes shut close, and I felt myself k!ss!ngMicheal back. The k!ssstirred de-eply buried de-sire into my heart. k!ss!ngMicheal seemed familiar, seemed right, like something I’ve missed the whole time without knowing what it is.

I couldn’t hold but m0@n into his mouth. It seemed like nothing existed anymore, nor our animosity towards each other. It was just us and outl-ips pressed together, and our ton-gue battling in frenzy for dominance.

It was a new day and training was restricted for two days, which means I’ve got two days to rest. Diana and I sat in my new room discussing. It was really good to be in the family. I can’t admit how happy I am.
” You just don’t know how happy I am that you are staying here with us. ” Diana said excitedly, as she gave me a ti-ght hvg. ” Just as I’ve hoped. ”
” Diana… I really don’t know how to say thank you to you all for saving my life. I almost thought I would die, I never expected I would see you again. Thank you. ” This time I hvgged her.
” That’s okay. That’s okay, your alre-ady ma-king me to cry. And I hate crying. ” We laughed. ” So, how far with you and Michael? ”
” We’re good, we even had our first k!sslast night. It was great. ” Diana g@sped a loud wow, staring speechless at me.
” Wow. That’s a wow, Cax. You two are really meant for each other, I mean… I’m fv¢king so happy. ” May walked in with our coffee, ” Thank you. ” She said, taking the coffee cu-p from her.
” Thank you. ” I took the other cu-p, sipping on the h0t coffee. ” Mmm, ” I hummed. ” This is the best coffee I have ever tasted. Did you make the coffee yourself? ” I asked May.
” Yes, Miss. ” She nodded.
” It’s fantastic. ”
” Thanks, Miss. ”
” Do you have to call me that? Don’t worry, I prefer you to call me by my name. ”
” I really don’t know what is actually wrong with you and Diana. Everyone would love to receive their respect except you two. ”
” I uhmm… You know it sounds more stressful with the royalty names compared with your individual names. Honestly, I just hate the royalty names. ”
” Me too. ” Diana added.

We sipped on our coffee, and since yesterday Kiara has decided to stay mute to me. She never talked and well, I didn’t bother asking her why. Sometimes I feel like she’s only doing me a great favour not sounding in my head.
And somehow, I wonder if I was the only one with the wolfie thing in my head. I’ve never seen anyone act so strange cos they are try to have an annoying chat with their wolf.

My stomach grumbled and I felt hungry immediately. The urge for giving out pu-ll-ed me up from where I sat, rushing in to her bathroom.
I kept vomiting like the first time I gave out after the night Derek and I… you know… did the thing. And today, I felt like I was gonna pour out my lungs in the process.

” Yeah… Nah, I don’t think so. ” I washed my mouth, before flushing the toilet. ” That wasn’t good at all. ”

” I don’t remember how long but I think it’s almost like,,, four days now. Why? ”
” You’re… Uhhh.. I don’t know how to say it but, Diana, I think you’re pregnant. ” Cax explained and I found myself laughing.
” Tell me you’re kidding cos, this can’t really be pregnancy. I mean, it started the next day after I had se-x with Derek, so you can’t possibly tell me that I would be pregnant a night after my se-x? ”
” Can we have this discussed in my room? ” We went to her room, I sat on the be-d, May sat beside me while she stayed on the stool beside her mirror. ” Your immune systems are very fast at reproducing and it keeps growing day by day unlike a normal human or a werewolf. Diana, it’s time you learn on what you are, and st©p seeing yourself as the normal Diana you used to be. ”
” If I am to say, you really got pregnant the day after your se-x which is actually the greatest new I have ever heard. ”
” Greatest? ” I repeated with a scoff, ” This is actually the craziest thing I have ever heard. Getting pregnant after the night of your se-x, jeez, that doesn’t seem good to me. ”
” Don’t worry, you’ll get use to it. Trust me, especially when you have the baby bu-mb. ”
I grinned. I’ve seen a lot of pregnant women, and I’ll admit it really isn’t funny carrying a baby bu-mb stomach. I see how they struggle to pu-ll themselves especially when they are in their seven to eight months of pregnancy.
God! Am I really gonna face this? Carrying my own child for nine damn months. I sl@pped my forehead involuntarily. Urghh…
” No, no, no. This is definitely not a great news. I’m totally freaking out right now, I don’t think I can carry a baby for nine months. No, I’m gonna pas-s out even before I get to my third month. ”
” Diana, ” she stressed my name as she c@m£ to hold my hands. ” You don’t have to freak out for anything, this is a great news. You are carrying the first child of the alpha and likewise his heir to the throne. You don’t have to worry about carrying your baby for nine months, it’s gonna be fun as soon as you notice the bu-mbs, believe me. ”
” You think so? ” I asked, sounding like a child.
