TORTURE ROOM**
Heavy Tears roll down Marissa’s eyes as they dragged her into the torture room,it’s being a while she came here and badly,she doesn’t want to experience the pain anymore. But who will save her? The only person who have the power to do that is the one who gave the order
‘You’re a goner Marissa’ she said to herself
Immediately she was tied up
“What are you waiting for? Whip her!” Galaxy ordered as the guards took the whip
Marissa shut her eyes immediately waiting for the lashes on her back
“Stop” The voice suddenly said and she opened her eyes immediately
It was Venom
“Vee…” Galaxy tried to talk
“That’s enough,untie her” Venom cut her off and Galaxy frowned getting confused already
“Yes boss” The guards dropped the whips in their hand and rushed to the crying Marissa,the moment they untied her,she rushed to Venom’s side,still in tears
Venom looked at her and walked out of the torture room
Marissa and Galaxy exchanged glances before Marissa went out
She wipe her tears and caught up with Venom
“Master” She called
“Thank you” Marissa said and Venom faced her
Marissa didn’t look away either,they both stared at each other. Venom turned and walked away without a word.
Marissa also left for her room,Jinx and Nala are both asleep already. She fell on the bed and didn’t know when she broke into tears again,what would have happened to her if he hadn’t reversed his words??
But then,why did he decide to save her after giving the order?? She wipe her tears and closed her eyes but seems the sleep isn’t coming
******
12AM**
Marissa sat up from the bed and sighed,she’s been rolling on the bed like forever.
She got down from the bed and took one of the hoodies Blaze gave her,she put it on and walked out of the room. The clan was silent except for some guards walking all over,she fold her arms on her che-st. She kept walking until she suddenly saw Venom,he was sitting alone and smoking.
She immediately hid behind a pole,staring at him.
“Come out” she heard Venom’s voice and her heart skipped a beat
‘Is he talking to me? No not me,how did he see me?’ She asked herself
“Come out before I loose it” Venom spoke up again
Marissa bite her li-ps sadly and came out from behind the pole.
Venom stood up and dropped the cigarettes,he started walking toward her.
To her surprise,he only pa-ssed her and walked away without taking a glance at her. She immediately turned to look at him
‘Does he sleep at all?’ She thought and sighed out .
“Rissa” she heard Blaze’s voice and she looked back again
“Hey” She muttered
Blaze walked closer and grabbed her hand,he took her to somewhere more close
“Are you okay?” He asked
“Yes I am,why?” Marissa asked
“I was worried,I heard Galaxy took you to the torture room. Did she hurt you anywhere?” Blaze asked
Marissa shook her head
Blaze hug-ged her
“I’m really fine,you don’t have to be worried about me” Marissa muttered
“I can’t help it” Blaze replied
Marissa broke the hug
“Why are you still awake?” She asked
“Watching” Blaze replied and she nodded
“I’m going back to the room,see you tomorrow” Marissa said
Blaze wrapped his arms on her wai-st and she looked up
“Is there something you want to say?” Marissa asked
Blaze released her
“No,goodnight” he let out a smile and kis-sed her head
“You don’t have to follow me,I’m fine” Marissa said when he attempted to go with her
“Bye” He said
Marissa nodded and walked away. She returned to the room and fell back on the bed,she closed her eyes and sleep took over.
******
NEXT MORNING**
Marissa got to Venom’s suite,the guard who’s always there welcomed her with a light smile
“Do you stay here always? I see you here everytime” Marissa said and he nodded
“I’m Drake” He said
“Marissa”
“I know” Drake smiled
“Oh,I’m here to clean” Marissa said
“The boss is not in right now tho,but go ahead” he immediately unlocked the door for her and she went in
She sighed out,looking around
‘You should be fast before he comes in’ her subconsciousness said to her and she set to work. Everywhere look tidy even without cleaning so it was so easy. After a while,the only place left was the bedroom. She walked in and met the table at one side of the room scattered.
She immediately started arranging it,she got hold of one of the guns and sighed. Her mind went to the moment he found her beside him and he almost shot her
“Would he have done that?” She asked no one in particular and dropped the gun,she continue her work. Her eyes suddenly caught with something on the table,it’s a ne-cklace. She took the ne-cklace,checking it out
“Why does it look so familiar?” She muttered,still staring at it
“What are you doing?” The de-eper voice made her turn instantly
Venom was standing right there,his hands in his pocket,looking at her with his usual blank and cold look.
“I…..”
“What are you holding?” Venom cut her off
Marissa raised the ne-cklace
“I’m cleaning the room” she muttered
“Drop it and leave” Venom said
“But,I’m not done” Marissa said and Venom frowned
“I will leave after I’m done” She added and dropped the ne-cklace
“Get out,I hate repeating myself” Venom snapped
Marissa bowed slightly and walked out.
Venom moved to the table and took the ne-cklace,he fold it in his palm,it was given to him by his mom and he never takes it off except when he’s going on a mission,he obviously took it off last night and forgot to use it again.
He wore it around his ne-ck and sat down,he rest his back on the chair and closed his eyes.
He opened his eyes when he heard his phone buzzing,he took it and got up again,he left the room

Phoenix was walking with Idris and Seth both on her sides,both staring at the little bruise on her cheek
“Are you okay?” They asked at the same time and Phoenix looked at Seth first and then Idris
“I can’t remember complaining that I’m not” She said
“I’m just worried” Seth said
“You should worry about yourself,I’m fine” Phoenix muttered
“Why are you guys following me tho?” She asked
Idris and Seth exchanged glances
“I just,wanted to say hi” Idris said.
“Funny” Phoenix said without laughing
“I’m here because we are friends” Seth smiled and tou-ched her hair
“You can’t touch my hair just because we are friends” Phoenix snapped
“Gosh you are so ha-rd to please” Seth groa-ned
Just then,they saw Blade and Venom coming together and they stopped
“Morning boss” they bowed at once
Venom ignored it and Blade replied with a little nod,he looked at Phoenix before walking away with Venom.
Phoenix turned for a second to take another glance at Blade
“You two can go,I need to take something from my room” she muttered and left immediately
Idris faced Seth
“Must you show up everywhere I am?” He asked
“I was about asking you that,why do you keep on appearing where you are not needed?” Seth snapped and walked away

As Phoenix walked out of her room,she bumped into Marissa and everything in her hands fell
“Oh sorry” Phoenix said and immediately bent down to help her pack it up
“Thank you” Marissa smiled
“It’s you” Phoenix said and Marissa raised her brows
“You know me?” She asked
“Who wouldn’t?” Phoenix scoffed
“Right” Marissa nodded and they started walking together
“Heard Galaxy always bully you” Phoenix asked
“I wish you can kick her as-s,but sadly you can’t” Phoenix said and Marissa chuckled
“What happened to your..cheek?” She asked And Phoenix tou-ched it
“Something crazy,I will be fine” Phoenix muttered
“Mind using ice on it?” Marissa asked
“Do you have one?”
“Right here” Marissa brou-ght it out from the bag in her hand
“Thanks,see you later” Phoenix said and walked away
“Are you okay?” Marissa stopped when she heard the voice,she saw Blade and Venom coming and she immediately hid herself
“Do you have fever?” Blade tou-ched Venom’s forehead
“That’s annoying” Venom slap his hand off
“Stop acting tough and tell me if you are sick,I’m your big brother” Blade said and Venom scoffed
“You didn’t sleep last night?” Blade asked further
“It’s not new okay? I will be fine” Venom muttered
“Now I wonder how come you slept that way,you make me worry” Blade sighed
Marissa stared at Venom’s back until they are out of sight
“Is he sick?” She asked no one in particular
Does the nightmare disturb him every night? She was eager to find out but how?
‘Marissa this is none of your business’ her mind whispered
“Yeah right,he hate everything about me. I shouldn’t be worried about him” She muttered and turned toward the kitchen
Her mind suddenly went to the ne-cklace,she’s really sure she have seen that ne-cklace somewhere before but where? She can’t remember anything
******
KITCHEN**
Madam Zuna watched Marissa carefully as she do the dishes,but she seems to be somewhere else.
“Marissa?” Madam Zuna called
No response from her
Madam Zuna tou-ched her and she looked up
“What are you thinking about?” Madam Zuna asked
“Oh….it’s nothing. I’m fine” Marissa muttered
“I have a surprise for you” Madam Zuna smiled
“What is it?” Marissa asked curiously and Madam Zuna showed her a chicken lap
Marissa gasped out loudly
“Is that for me?!” She said out loud
“Yeah,hurry up so you can eat it. I kept it for you earlier” Madam Zuna said
“How did you find out I love chicken so much?” Marissa asked
“You’re always gulping anytime we fry some” Madam Zuna said and they both laughed
“That’s embarra-ssing,I even stole one before and got punished” Marissa muttered
Madam Zuna ru-b her hair
“Everything will be fine,trust me” She said and Marissa nodded
“I heard what happened between you and Galaxy,and Venom’s order,I’m surprised you’re not feeling any pain,what happened?” Madam Zuna asked and Marissa smiled
“He saved me” She muttered
“Who?”
“Master” She replied
“You mean,he gave an order and then saved you from it?”
Marissa nodded
“I was surprised too,but I’m happy. I don’t know if I’m ever going to survive the torture again” She muttered and Madam Zuna smiled
“And then,,I noticed Galaxy doesn’t hurt me like before. She even asked for his permission before deciding to punish me…she has never done that” Marissa said and faced Madam Zuna
“But when I thanked him,he ignored me. He sent me out of his room too,He’s really unpredictable,I can’t say what he’s going to do this minute and another,he’s soft right now,another time he’s dangerous to look at” Marissa sighed
“Well you’re right,no one un-derstands him except himself.” Madam Zuna said
‘I want to know everything about him,but how?’ Marissa said inwardly
******
NIGHT**
Marissa listened as the heavy rain fell,her roommates are both sleeping but she couldn’t. She was worried about Venom even though she shouldn’t.
She was expecting him to call her all day but never got one,what if he’s really sick?
She suddenly got down from the bed and ran out of the room not minding the heavy rain,she ran all the way to Venom’s suite. Thank goodness Drake was still there
“What are you doing here?” Drake asked looking at her we-t body
“I want to see him,please” Marissa said
“But he didn’t send for you,are you sure you want to go in?” Drake asked
“Don’t worry about me okay? Just open”
Drake shrugged for a while before opening
Marissa immediately went in. She entered the living room and exhaled hoping he won’t get too mad at her,but her heart was beating too fast that she had to come here.
Without thinking twice,she entered the bedroom.
Like she expected,he was awake. He was just about lightening a cigarette but stopped when he saw Marissa
He stared at her from her head down to her toes seeing how drenched she is.
“What are you doing here?” He asked
Marissa was lost staring at the ne-cklace around his ne-ck,it sure looks familiar
“Are you okay?” She blurted out and Venom raised his brows
” Are you here to remind me that I need to kill you?” He scoffed
“I was worried about you,but I think I can go back now” She bowed and turned to leave
“Stop right there” Venom ordered and Marissa’s heart skipped a beat
“Turn” Venom said and she immediately faced him
Venom stared at her
‘Is she really the reason why he slept that night? Or maybe he’s mistaken? But how will he find out if he doesn’t confirm?
“Take off your clothes and get on the bed” Venom muttered and left the room
Marissa immediately took off her we-t clothes and got on the bed like he ordered
She wrapped her body with the duvet since she was feeling cold already,she seems to have waited for some long minutes but no sign of him. The bed was so comfortable that she wanted to sleep so badly
Soon,her eyes became heavy and she shut it instantly.
Minutes later,she felt Venom on the bed,she opened her eyes and caught him staring at her,she immediately closed her eyes back
“Don’t take this to heart,it’s nothing,it’s just for tonight” He muttered
“Yes master” Marissa replied
She inhaled when she felt his cold hand around her and to her surprise he pulled her closer to himself
She opened her eyes again and found him still staring at her
She raised her hand and tou-ched his hair
Venom frowned
“It’s only for tonight” She muttered and began stro-king his hair
She kept on doing that and soon,his eyes went closed,He’s asleep
Marissa smiled and also closed her eyes.
