“You are joking, right?” Cheng asked.
“I’m dead serious Cheng, I want you to come back to the palace and live with us” King Osvaldo said.
“Why all of a sudden? You clearly said it yourself that you don’t want me to live among you all. I begged you not to banned from being part of the family, but you paid a deaf ears to my pleadings, and now you want me back in the palace, What for? So you all can call me a demon and a curse child?” Cheng asked.
“That’s not it Cheng”
“Then what!! You think I will be happy that you want me back in the palace, when you never wanted me for good ten years” Cheng said.
“I’m sorry for neglecting you Cheng. I only did what I felt was right at that moment. When I saw you a pool of blood last night, that’s when I realized how important you were to me. I was so scared to death thinking I was going to lose you.
“Well you lost me ten years ago when all of you turned your back on me, you left me to my fate, not caring about how I was going to survive with a demon inside me. I was just 13 years old, do you know how difficult it was living by myself at that age? It was so lonely and painful, and yet not once did you even bother to check up on me, and now just because I almost died last night you want me back in the palace, as what?” Cheng asked cleaning the tears in his eyes.
“That’s why I want to make it up to you Cheng. For ten years I know I have been a bad father to you, allow me to mend my mistakes and shower you with all the love I can give” King Osvaldo said with pleading eyes.
“I don’t need your love. The time I needed you the most has longed been gone and buried. I grew up alone, and I’m used to it. I don’t need any of you” Cheng said.
He tried to leave the room, but pain hits him, and he let out a gro-an. He held his stomach and discovered he was bleeding.
“You are bleeding Cheng. Just wait right here and don’t move an inch, I’ll get the physician” King Osvaldo said in a worried tone and rushed out of the room.

Waylon watched as Cheng’s stomach was been bandage by the palace physician.
King Osvaldo had a meeting with the ministers of Maelstrom, so he left.
“The bleeding has stopped, but he has to be careful from now on, still he is healed” The physician said.
Cheng looks at him, and the physician bowed his head, with so trepidation.
Waylon noticed it and asked him to leave. The palace physician bowed his head and left the room.
“How are you feeling now Cheng? Does your wound still hurt?” Waylon asked sitting beside him, pouring a herbal medicine soup in a ceramic bowl.
“Why do you care if I die or not? For all we know you have longed wished that I’m dead” Cheng said.
“That’s not true Cheng” Waylon said shaking his head.
“Oh really? Each and everyone of you wished I died, that’s why none of you ever bothered about coming to see me. A little visit from you all would have been okay, but no, none of you ever bothered to check up on me. You all wanted me to die” Cheng said.
“That’s not true Cheng. I didn’t check up on you back then because I was so scared about what you will do to me. You almost killed me on the night you became a demon”.
Cheng looks at him.

“Cheng what’s going on with you” Waylon asked. But Cheng performed dark magic on him and Waylon flew to a distance hitting his back on the king’s status.
“I’m going to destroy all of you” He said in three voices performing dark magic and destroying the palace with it.

“I never hated you Cheng, I was just afraid of getting hurt again. I know that not an excuse, but you would have done the same thing if you were in shoe. The caring boy I know became a demon all of a sudden, it was a meal I couldn’t digest” Waylon said, but Cheng remained quiet without saying a word to him.
“Drink this Cheng, it will help you recover quickly” Waylon said giving him the ceramic bowl containing the herbal medicine soup.
Cheng looked at the herbal medicine soup and looked away. “I don’t want to drink it, you might have added poison on it” He said and Waylon smiles lightly.
“Really, is that how you think of me? You’d think I am going to poison you? Even I want to, you’re a demon and it can easily flushed away”.
“If it happens that way, I won’t be here with a wound in my stomach” Cheng said, and Waylon smiles.
“I’m glad you were able to control your demon Cheng, although you stabbed yourself, but Tatiana is not hurt because of it”.
“Tatiana?”
“Don’t worry about her Cheng, she is doing okay. I’m sure she will be over the moon, if she knows you are awake already. She cried so much last night”.
“Tatiana? Who is she?” Cheng asked.
“Huh?” Waylon muttered with opened eyes.

Anisha’s Kimono could be see flying in the air as some of her age mates chased after her.
“I can’t let you all caught me” She said running with all her might.
She was still running when she ran into Kenji who was pushing a handcart and she quickly hides the book she stole from her age mates inside Kenji’s handcart without Kenji knowing.
“Are you all right Anisha?” Kenji asked.
“Yes I am” She answers, and the three girls approach her.
“Give it back” One of them said.
“Give what back?” Anisha asked in return, feigning not to know about what they were talking about.
“I know you took a book from the bibliotheca, so give it back” The second girl said.
“I don’t know what you three marketeers are talking about. Why will I steal a book from the bibliotheca?” Anisha asked with her hands on he waist.
“Because we know how obsessed you are with books, but sadly you can’t afford it, that’s why you stole from the bibliotheca” The third girl said.
“I didn’t steal anything from the bibliotheca, you three are just foreseeing things, which aren’t real” Anisha said.
“If that true, then let’s delve you” The first girl said.
The three of them were about delving Anisha, but Kenji stopped them.
“You can’t do that to my friend. She already said she didn’t take the book, so get a wiggle on” Kenji said defending Anisha.
“She doesn’t have anything to fear if her conscience is clean” The third girl said.
“And who ever told you that I am scared? Go ahead and delve me, if you see a book on me, I will gladly give you one coin each to the three of you, but if you didn’t, is vice versa” Anisha said with so much confidence.
The three girls looks at each other, before delving Anisha. They delved in and out of Anisha, but they didn’t find the book on her.
“I told you my friend wasn’t a thief” Kenji said.
“Give me my money” Anisha said stretching out her hand, and used her eyes to signal them to give her the money.
The three girls reluctantly dropped one coin each on Anisha’s hand and they left.
“They think they’re wisenheimer like me” Anisha said smiling.
“You shouldn’t have allowed them delve you Anisha, when you didn’t steal the book” Kenji said.
Anisha sighs and brings out the book from Kenji’s handcart and his eyes wide-ned.
“Don’t tell me you really stole that book from the bibliotheca?” Kenji asked.
“Yes I did”
“Why in the heavens will you steal from the bibliotheca? What if I was implicated too?”
“I knew the book was inside your handcart, that’s why I asked those three foolish marketeers to delve me instead” Anisha said.
“Is wrong to steal Anisha”
“I didn’t steal it” Anisha defended herself.
“Then what did you do?” Kenji asked.
“I saw something I like and I took it” Anisha said and Kenji sighs.
“What do you derived in reading these books you always take from the bibliotheca?” Kenji asked.
“Everything Kenji. At least I get to learn a lot about the stars,” Anisha said smiling.
“Why not go up there in the cloud and say, hello stars, my name is Anisha, can you tell me more about yourself” Kenji said sarcastically.
“Is not funny” She said, hitting his shoulder and Kenji smiled.
“Can I have some part of the money?” He asked smiling.
“What money?” Anisha asked in return.
“”You tricked three coins out of those girl, if not for my handcart, you would have been caught, so give me one coins from it” Kenji said.
“Alright” Anisha said, making an attempt to give one coin to him, but she gasps.
“Look over there Kenji”
“Where?” Kenji asked looking behind him, Anisha smiles and took to her heels.
“Anisha!!!”

⟨ BACK IN THE PALACE ⟩
“You are not allowed inside the palace Lady Harlow” A bodyguard said when she made an attempt to enter the palace.
“I’m here to see Waylon, so let me throu-gh!!” Harlow yells at them.
“What’s going on here?” Waylon asked approaching them.
“Waylon” Harlow said trying to enter the palace, but Waylon pushed her out.
“You are not allowed to enter the palace Harlow, so leave” He said.
“But Waylon I am your friend”.
“Our friendship ended the day you tried to poison my sister, and when Tatiana almost died because of it”
“I’m sorry about what I did. It’s never going to happen again. Give me a second chance, and I promise to be good from now” Harlow said raising her hand above her head.
“I have a lot in my head right now, and don’t add yours to it. Leave this palace now, or you will be locked up in the palace dungeon” Waylon said and went back inside the palace.
“Waylon, please I have change!!” Harlow screamed, trying to gain access inside the palace, but the bodyguards blocked the gate.
“Do you want to be locked up inside the dungeon?” They asked almost at the same time.
“Shut up!!” Harlow yells at them, with eyes burning in furry.

⟨ QUEEN ANJALI’S CHAMBER ⟩
“What did I just hear you say? Father wants Cheng to live in the palace?” Narmada asked, entering Queen Anjali’s room.
“How dare you barge into my mother’s chamber like that!!” Thiago shouted at her, while Supriya stayed calm.
Ever since Cheng wreaked her, she has been calm and quiet.
“Yes Narmada, and that mother of yours is in support of it” Queen Anjali said.
Narmada clenched her fists and went to her mother’s room.
“What this hearsay I am hearing, that father wants Cheng back in the palace, and you are in support of it?” Narmada asked.
“Yes I am”
“Why mother? Do you know how perilous it will be, if Cheng lives here?”
“There’s nothing wrong with it if Cheng returns back to his position of being the third prince of Maelstrom. He hasn’t agreed to it, but I hope he will”.
“I hope so too” Waylon said, entering the room.
“Not you too Waylon. I thought you hated Cheng?” Narmada asked.
“No I don’t, and I want him to leave in the palace, despite having a demon instead him”.
“Brother!!”
“That’s the right to do, to make up for relinquishing him ten years ago, Cheng hasn’t made up his mind to live in the palace, but that’s not the issue here” Waylon said.
“What wrong Waylon?” Queen Vanya asked.
Waylon sighs and said. “Cheng can’t remember Tatiana”.
“What!!!” Both Narmada and Queen Vanya shrieked.

Tatiana had smiles all over her face, as she ran to the room Cheng was in.
Kira had informed her earlier, that Cheng has waken up, and she was in so much exhilaration.
“Cheng” She said excitedly when she entered the room.
Cheng who has just finished putting on the kimono given to him by Waylon, looks at Tatiana with a blank face.
“I’m glad you are awake Cheng” Tatiana said and went to hug him, but Cheng pushed her away from his body, shocking ten years out of Tatiana’s lifespan.
“Who are you?” He asked, shocking Tatiana the more.
“Cheng is me” Tatiana muttered.
“Who exactly?” He asked.
“Is me Tiana, your bride” Tatiana said as her eyes began forming tears in it.
“I don’t know anyone that goes by the name Tiana, and I don’t have a bride either” Cheng said and tried to leave.
“Cheng” Tatiana said holding his hand, but Cheng forcefully pins her to the wall, and Tatiana winced in pain.
“Cheng” She muttered with a crying voice.
“I already said I don’t know you, so why are you touching me?” He asked.
“You promised not to forget me, so why did you forget about me!!” Tatiana yells at him, with tears falling down her eyes.
“I have never made a promise to anyone in my entire life. So if you don’t want to die, stay away from me, because I’m going to kill you if you come anywhere close to me” Cheng said with a serious look on his face, and more tears falls down Tatiana’s eyes.
