The contract finale

THE CONTRACT
EPILOGUE
INTERVIEW:
Anchor: Hello and welcome to the official interview of the characters from the just finished w—–d novella, ‘The Contract.’ First, we have Mr. Tobi Ademi, the main character of the book. Hello Tobi
Tobi: Can you just ask the questions alre-ady? I have things to do.
Anchor: Right, of course. @PriyankaAgnih0tri wants to know,’Will you k!ssme?’
Tobi: That’s a very odd way to start the interview, and no, I don’t k!ssstrangers, or any other girl now, or else Abena would kill me. (Laughs)
Anchor: (laughs) of course.
@SkittlesAsh asks, ‘Why do you want a baby girl?’
Tobi: Well girls spend more money than guys, and I have too much money, I just nee-ded someone to spend it for me. (Laughs) just kidding, I like the idea of a ‘daddy’s girl’
Anchor: thats very cute. You got your wish. @_Dorothy_ asks, ‘Why didn’t you want to start a family with Abena?’
Tobi: (sighs) well, I didn’t exactly have a happy family, and I was a pla-yer, I didn’t think I had what it takes to start a family. I was afraid that I would mess things up and end up like my dad, but as Jospeh said, ‘If it makes you happy, ignore the crowd and go for it.’
Anchor: yes, that’s very true. @xOXoBOOPoXOx wants to know, ‘How good are your cooking skills.’
Tobi- (sm-irks), you guys seem to always forget one thing. I’m Tobi Ademi. You can’t use the word ‘good’ to describe my skills, you use the word ‘great’. And I’m pretty great at every single thing. Ask Abena (wi-nks)
Anchor: (coughs awkwardly), we don’t doubt that. @dimplesofficial asks, ‘Why didn’t you want Abena to know you love her?’
Tobi: Well I thought she hated me (shrugs), I wasn’t the nicest person, and I was in denial.
Anchor: and now, we ask, how was The Contract experience?
Tobi: it was pretty good. I enjoyed it, I fell in love and now I have three adorable kids. Can I go now? I have a lot of work to do, and Abena is ma-king spaghetti Bolognese for dinner.
Anchor: (raises eyebrow) O-Kay, thank you sir.
Tobi: (stands up to leave)
.
.
Anchor: now, we have Miss. Abena, the main female character of the book. Hello Abena. How are you feeling today?
Abena: (smiles) still tired from the delivery. Let’s just start the questions now?
Anchor: (nods). @dimplesofficial wants to know, ‘Why didn’t you let Tobi to know how you feel?’
Abena- well he was so mean and snobbish, plus I didn’t even think that he would like someone like me. Imagine me going to him and telling him that I like him and then he would na laugh at me. That would be so embarras-sing (laughs)
Anchor: (laughs) very true. @PriyankaAgnih0tri asks, ‘How do you feel when Tobi cares for you?’
Abena: when he first started caring I was suspicious, because he was so mean in the beginning that then he started acting nice. But I like the fact that I have someone to care for me. All my life, I’ve never had someone to care for me, and now, I have Tobi.
Anchor: awww. That’s good. @weirdo1437 asks How is Demi your child?
Abena: demi is fine. He’s in recovery. And he’s my nephew, although I love him as my child anyway, as Tobi and I are going to adopt him.
Anchor: @xOXoBOOPoXOx wants to know, ‘Have you had any secret or weird food cravings, ap@rt from bananas?’
Abena: Well there was bre-ad, and chocolates. But banana was the main thing.
Anchor: how was The Contract experience in all?
Abena: it was good. I like a happy ending, especially when it’s for me.
Anchor: thank you Abena. Now we have Joseph, Tobi’s best friend and favourite character of most of the re-aders
Joseph: Well obviously yes I’m the favorite. It’s good that the people in the real world make good choices. (sm-irks and wi-nks)
Anchor: (laughs) if you say so. @PriyankaAgnih0tri asks, How did it feel when you were a father for the first time?
Joseph: it felt really good, until Dera made me change the pampers. (Shudders and frowns.)
Anchor: (laughs) well, @_Dorothy_ wants to know, ‘If Abena is so attrac-tive, why didn’t you ask her to be your second wife?’
Joseph: meh. (Waves hand dismissively). (1) I love my wife. Dera is enough for me, (2) Abena would sl@p me if I even mention that, and (3) Tobi would castrate me, give or take. And the woman eats too much! Ahn! Ki lo de? (=meaning what is it?)
Anchor: @xOXoBOOPoXOx asks if you have any funny stories of you and Tobi.
Joseph: (ru-bs chin) not a lot, you know Tobi is a boring man. I dont even see what Abena is doing with him sef. (Tobi walks on the stage and sl@ps the back of his head) ow! I rest my case. (Pouts)
Anchor: and @dimplesofficial asks, ‘Why do you like trouble?’
Joseph: I don’t like trouble jare. It’s not my fault that trouble likes me. (Rolls his eyes.)
Anchor: and how was your own The Contract experience?
Joseph: I got a chance to show my amazing-ness to the world, so it was pretty good.
Anchor: (laughs) of course. Now we have Joseph’s wife, Chidera. Hello Dera.
Dera: hello (waves)
Anchor: okay so, @PriyankaAgnih0tri asks, ‘What is the most tedious thing you have to do when you have a husband like Joseph?’
Dera: (laughs) ma-king him do what you want. He’s so stubborn, but, luckily for me, he knows not to mess with me. After all, I’m in charge of his food (wi-nks)
Anchor: @_Dorothy_ asks, ‘Are you going to have another baby? plea-se do.’
Dera: No way! I alre-ady have three. Four, if you count my husband. My hands are full.
(Joseph grumbles from behind the set)
Anchor: (laughs)and @xOXoBOOPoXOx wants to know, ‘what kind of puppy did Joseph get you?’
Dera: (smiles dreamily) a German shepherd. I called it blaze.
Anchor: lastly, how was your own The Contract experience.
Dera: (shrugs) it was good. I have a new bestie now (Abena)
Anchor: okay. Now we have Tobi’s mother, Mrs. Ademi, referred to as Mama in the book. Mama, good day.
Mama: hello.
Anchor: @xOXoBOOPoXOx asks, ‘What are the baby names you might have in mind for your grandchildren?’
Mama: hm. Any good Yoru-ba name is fine.
Anchor: @dimplesofficial asks, ‘How old are you?’
Mama: (frowns) you children of nowadays, didn’t your parents teach you not to ask an elderly person for their age?
Anchor: sorry ma. So ma, how was your The Contract experience?
Mama: inu mi n dun (= meaning I’m happy). Now I have my grandchildren and my son is happy.
Anchor: thank you mama. And now, we ask all re-aders of this story: How was your own The Contract experience?
Thanks so much for following this story from the beginning to the end.
