Leon was discussing business with his two elder brothers. He missed his little kitten already. What could she be doing?, She must be chatting with Grandma and mother!,
“Leon….. Leon!” Anthony called and Leon was de-ep in thought until Nathaniel tou-ched him.
“Oh…..” He muttered
“What are you thinking about?” Anthony asked and Leon smiled.
“Am really happy that Sister in law is in your life…..I can see lots of difference” Nathaniel said
“How did you know I was thinking of her?!” Leon asked
“It’s obvious, no one makes you smile apart from her…..you really love her don’t you?” Anthony teased. And Leon smiled wider.
“Mmhmm….I really love her…she’s……”
“LEON!!!”
That was when Gem called, she was pa-nting and crying.
Leon ran to me. And hold my shoulders, supporting me from falling.
“Leon……”
“Gem…..what….what happened…..what are you crying? Are you hurt…..did you hurt…..” I shook my head “then what…..why are you crying???”
“It’s…..it’s….I….” He looked at my eyes. I could see how worried he is…..”Jolene…..she….she called….she….my father…..”
Leon stiffed did she find out that her father was the one who tried to murder his grandfather?
“She said…..father….is at the hospital….he’s in a critical condition…..why Leon….why does everyone I love always get hurt…..and….and leave me…..why?” Seeing she still doesn’t know the truth Leon heaves a de-ep sigh….
Without saying anything Leon carried me bridal style…..he turned to his brothers
“You’ll excuse me…I have to take care of my woman” he said and walked out.
Leon place me on the bed when we got to our bedroom.
“Gem…..you know you’re pregnant…..you being like this is not good for the baby” he said. His voice was calm and slow. “I’ll call Noah to confirm….but am not going to let you go to them”
“Leon…..PL…..”
“GEM NO….!!!!” he yelled….”What’s your problem….. why are you so fragile on heart…..are you that stupid to believe what ever you’re told???, Gem that Jolene or whatever her name is, is part of the reason why we lost our first child…..I didn’t destroy her because I didn’t want to…..”
“Leon…..I just have to pay a little visit….” I cut in…..
“Don’t you get……I SAID YOUR NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!!!” he yelled.
Grandma and mother heard Leonel yelled. They both ran upstairs.
“Leon , why are you being so possessive of me?” I asked
“Because I own you!!” He yelled
“Leon…..stop that Leon…..” Mother yelled
“Leon….why are you scaring her!!!” Grandma yelled. Leon didn’t care if Grandma and mother was here….he kept on looking at me…..and i knew he was disappointed.
“Don’t make me lock you up…..you’re not going anywhere near that family again….” He said and walked into our little parlor.
“What’s going on?” Grandma asked. I was so shocked to speak…..Leon just got really mad at me…..Does he hate me now….. “Gem!” Grandma called again.
“It’s nothing….it’s fine…. grandma…I want to rest….” I said and lye proper on the bed. Grandma looked worried and tuck me in before she left with Mom.
Jolene was smiling from mouth to mouth.
She was so happy. The plan was that once Gem comes….. she’ll find a way to copy her finger print and summit it to the files.
Then once she has the property she’ll go for Leonel.
Ruth was leaving her life as she was now a manager for a new actress. She missed Gem alot….she wonder if she was okay….she would have called but she was scared….she felt guilty for all the things that happened to her….she couldn’t protect her.
“Miss Ruth!” Noah called. Noah knew he nee-ded a partner someone he could trust.
Noah told him everything about Gem’s identity.
“What….!!!!, Does…..does Leon knows???” She asked
“Yes…..he’s willing to protest her and make sure the information doesn’t link…..” Noah said “but I know the old miss will find out….she has been looking for Jolene the daughter of ha-rdin….she wants to end the family blood line……she hates that family….. grandma is a devil…..she’s evil and she’s willing to do anything to kill the ha-rding’s daughter if she find her……”
“What can I do then?” Ruth asked
“I want you to be close to Jolene….go become her manager…..do anything to make her trust you…..” Noah said
“No way!!, I hate her!” She yelled
“This is for Gem!!!, Fine….let’s just seat back and watch her get killed!!!” He yelled. There was silence
“Fine…..I’ll…..I’ll do it” she said and Noah smiled
“Thank you…..I just hopes she deliver her baby before she finds out!” He said
Leon was now calm…..he walked into the bedroom and lye beside Gem. He tou-ched her cheeks but she smiled away.
“I’m sorry…..I just blew up before I could control it” he said. I turned my back at him and he suddenly hu-gged my back pressing himself to me.
“Leave me alone” I whine……
“Come on…. kitten….don’t be mad at me…..at sorry….okay….I’ll let you ride me tonight….how about that” he said. Seriously is he going to act nau-ghty right now?.
“Go f*¢k yourself” i said trying to remove his hands from my wai-st but it was too ti-ght……

Leon’s hand slide to my thigh and squee-zeit. I tried ha-rd not to respond but my body failed me, it respond an react to his every touch. He started ki-ssing my shoulders.
“Leon stop” i said but my voice sounded like a sweet M0-n…..”Leon…I…I don’t want to”
“Come on baby just 3 rounds” he said moving the ki-ss to my ne-ck.
“No…..” I said trying to control my desi-re
“2 rounds….. please….am already ha-rd for you” he said bi-ting my ne-ck.
“No rounds…..am not having s-× with you….” I said…my voice was failing me.
“Kitten…….be good…..” He said. He ki-ssed from my ne-ck to my cheeks. His hands slide to touch my cli-ts…..I was surprised my legs opened and let his hands in between. I was letting him take control. He started moving his hands, ru-b-bing my private part. I bit my li-ps not to M0-n.
“Kitten just give up…..you’re already w£t for me…..” He said smiling.
“I don’t……” He’s li-ps met mine and he started ki-ssing me……He bit my li-ps ha-rd and I whine in pains….”ki-ss me back…..don’t be like this” he said, trying to open my mouth so that his tongue find mine. I pushed him back and stood from the bed……
“I said I don’t want to” i said.
Leon was surprised….Gem has never decline him when he wanted to sleep with her…..why now?, Was it because she was still mad at him?.
“Gem enough already…..you know am doing this for your own good and for our baby” he said.
“I’ve heard you…. please stop talking about it” i said and sat on the couch.
The room became quiet until my phone started ringing. Leon took the phone because it was closer him. His face darkened. It was Ryan calling. Before I could walk to him he picked the call.
“Hello Gem?”
“It’s her husband….” He said with an angry voice.
“Oh……good evening Mr…..”
“Why are you calling my wife?” Leon asked.
“I was…uhmm…. going to inform her about her father’s state……”
“She’s not coming….I’ll send my men to take gift to him……and by the way stop calling my wife” he ended the call.
“Really Leon!!!!” I said
“Gem i don’t want to fight with you” he said standing from the bed.
“I dont want to fight with you either……” I said and he made a call.
Few minutes later Sasha entered the room with a little box. Leon collected it and handed it to me.
“What’s this?” I asked as I opened the package.
“Your new phone!” He said
“I don’t want a new phone am okay with my old one…..Leon…..give it back” i said but he smash the phone on the well “LEON!!!!” I yelled
“I’d rather hurt your feeling that to watch you get hurt…….” He said. “Am sorry kitten…..I don’t care if am making you scared of me….but…I can’t watch them hurt you again…….”
It’s been a week Leon and I haven’t been talking. Yes we live in the same room, sleep on the same bed but we don’t talk to each other.
We were eating in the dinning table. Grandma eyes kept on swaping from me to Leonel. I know they’ve seen the changes and weird atmosphere.
My stomach was like it was spinning. I was really uncomfortable. I drank some water. It was like I was having a hangover but I didn’t drink………I quickly filled my glas-s again and drank more water…..all eyes were on me…..Leon was worried but couldn’t asked what was wrong.
“Little Gem are you okay?” Grandma asked.
“Yes grandma…I….I get……” I didn’t finish my word before I felt like throwing up again…..I quickly ran into the kitchen…..Leon ran after me. I bent down in the sink and began to throw up………Leon ru-b my back but I push his hands off.
Seeing this grandma walk to towards up and gesture Leon to step back. He did.
“It’s okay……it’s alright” she ru-b my back. As I raise my head up, my head spin again and I almost fell down but Leon caught me.
“Get your hands off me!” I manage to say but he carried me back to the chair.
“Are you alright?, Should I call the doctor?” He asked kneeling on front of me.
“Do you even care?” I asked and I saw the hurt in his eyes.
“Oh….don’t worry son…. she’ll be fine…..all pregnant women go throu-ghthis stage” she said. I felt like vomiting again….I ran to the sink and began to throw up again.
“Is there anything to stop it?” He asked
“No…..it will get worse soon…… she’ll be sick every morning…..if I were you I’d settle with her…. because at that stage every woman nee-ds her husband” mom said to Leonel.
I hated this feeling…….I felt like dying.
The next morning…..I was weak…..my stomach kept on spinning ….I was so frustrated that I began to cry.
Leon walked into the room with a cub in his hands.
“Here ….it’s honey tea…..it will…..”
“I don’t nee-d anything from you!” I said
“Kitten….be good take this and…… ” I pushed the cu-p away and the tea spill as the cu-p break into pieces. Leon was surprised
“What?, Since you don’t trust me enough to tell me anything!” I said
“Gem…… please calm down……” He said…..Leon knew she was like this because of her pregnant…..he has read about pregnant women mode swing.
“Okay….am sorry it’s all my fault…..am sorry…. please stop…..don’t push me away…..it’s my fault” he said and hu-gged me.
“You hate me now!!!”
“No…..no I don’t hate you…..I’d never hate you……I promise…… promise to always love you…..” He said.
She was finally asleep. Leon sigh and lye her down.
Weeks pas-sed, it’s….now the sseventh month of my pregnancy.
“You…..you’re living…..?” I broke down as Leon broke the news to me.
“Kitten remember the thing i couldn’t tell you?, Well I want to fix it so I can tell you….” He said. Noah has message Leon that something wasn’t right…..Gem’s father could not the person who tried to kill his grandfather. He wasn’t sure but something wasn’t right. Leon wanted to figure things out.
“How long will you be gone?” I asked
“Not sure…..but I’ll try to be back before the baby is born!”
“Leon it’s just two months left???” I said
“I know…….I promise I’ll be there with you….don’t be scared….” He said
“Okay…..but…. you’ll call right……you’ll have to call me…….”
“Gem…..I won’t be able to call you….I ….I don’t nee-d distraction I have to focus” he said, tears falls endlessly in my eyes, “please don’t cry”
“Leon you’re living me…how can I not cry….are you tired of me?….i know you’re going to Rose again” there’s the mood swings again.
“No….no baby…..” He ki-ssed me. “Shh now…..such being a cry baby……I promise….I’ll be back soon… please let me go….. please baby” he said and i ti-ghtened my grip on his shirt.
“You…. you’ll come back right?” I asked and he ki-ssed my head and nodded.
“I’ll miss you so much” he said
“I’ll miss you too….be back soon and you must be safe” i said.
I saw Leon off……it was ha-rd but I knew I had to.
Grandma went to the insurance company.
“You said they came to claim the property?” She asked
“Yes ma…..few days ago….”
“Jolene was her name…… daughter of ha-rdin?”
“Yes ma….”
Grandma smiled and made a phone call.
Jolene and her father were celebr@ting.
“Dad…..the old Mrs Mavis will surely come for me…..when she does….I’ll break the bitter truth to her that her little daughter in law is the real enemy……I can’t wait to see the shock in her eyes……hahaha”
“Good idea daughter…..let’s wait till she comes”
Ruth called Noah and inform him about jolene’s plan.
“Sir…..we have to hurry….. grandma is already a step ahead” Noah to Leon who has being working for two days now without eating or taking his bath. Noah was worried…..if he continues like this he’ll kill himself.
“Sir….. please take it easy though for the sake of Gem” he said and Leon froze. He nodded and continue his work.
After shower….Leon was eating with one hand and using the other to type on his keyboard.
“So….. jolene’s father was good friends with Gem’s father?” He asked
“Yes….and…..I’ve find out that Gem’s mother was kidnap twice by…. unknown men…..I’ve searched one of the men’s identity and he works for jolene’s father……why would they kidnap……oh no…..”
“It.make sense……look…..I’ve hacked into his private information laptop and…..it’s a picture of him and Gem’s mother……I don’t un-derstand this but I think……he has a hand in this” Leon said.
8months….still no news of Leon….. Today grandma rushed out of the house with father…..only God knows where they are up to.
“You’re caught her……?…., Good on our way” grandma said.
“Boss…..boss…..it’s it’s ii…..t……I found her……I found it……it wasn’t Gem’s father…….it was all a lie and a set up……look…..it’s a video tap of Gem’s father and mother……watch this”
“Hi……our little unborn Jolene…..”
“Honey…..it’s Gem……”

Leon was crying and laughing at the same time…..”yes…..we found it……yes…….”
Noah phone rang.
“Noah……Noah bad news…..the old Mrs got Jolene and she told her everything…..the old madam is on her way home……she’s really pissed off…….. please tell Leon to hurry back…..this won’t be good…….this is not good…..hurry…….”
