*Three Days Later*
*RIA ROBERT COUTURE*
*DRAKE POV*
I stepped Into RRC. It’s a bit crowded on this day. I took in the beauty of the the Luxurious clothing store. Glittery clothes of all kinds of designs hanging on racks. No wonder mom insisted that she wanted to come to RRC to buy dresses. I tried to talk to dad to allow her but he refused. He said that she should be spending more time at Sanders family home..to take care of Bay and my child. He remained adamant about it. And when I saw that he won’t listen so I decided to keep my plans of striking a deal with Ria Robert. He doesn’t have to know anyways!
I searched the room to check out for Ria but I couldn’t find her. I arrived in Chicago yesterday. Actually,I was in town to meet an Italian investor and I saw it as a chance to work on my plans.
I came straight down to RRC after meeting with the Italian Investor.
“Can I help you Sir?” A lady In black suit said to me, She must have noticed that I needed help.
“Oh yes please” I moved closer to her
“What do you need Sir?”
“I want to meet the owner of RRC”
“Oh! Miss Ria!”
“Yes Ria Robert”
She smiled brilliantly
“She’s in the office”
She pointed to a direction
“Can you lead me to her?”
“Sure..come with me Sir”
I followed her through a door which was connected to a hallway. I heard the sound of machine wheels as we pass by a door.
About few more steps then we got to another door. The lady stopped and knocked on the door.
“Come in”
We heard someone say. The lady turned to look at me.
“What’s your name sir?”
“Drake Robert.. Just tell her Drake”
“Okay”
Then she opened the door and walked in.
She came back seconds later
“Please come in” opening the door wide for me to step into the office.
The door clicked close behind me. I turned and the Lady was gone. Ria Robert sat at her desk with a pencil in her right hand. She was beautiful as ever!
I stood where I was taking in her beauty. I couldn’t help glancing downward to the front of her creme pleasant blouse. And since I happened to be looking that way, I linger just a moment to admire the expanse of her creamy, glistening skin revealed above the deep neckline, the deep shadow of cleavage.
She cleared her throat snapping me out of trance.
“Um..Mr Drake?” She stood up from her chair
“Yes” I said with an apologetic grin as I lifted my gaze away from that direction to look at her.
“You’re being bold sir”
She sounded offended
Oh Damn it! I shouldn’t have done that! But I couldn’t help it! Even looking at her sheen face made it hard for me to maintain my train of thought. But I need to think clearly!
I shouldn’t get enchanted by her beauty if I want my plan to work!
“Pardon me” I said
My expression was meek and my tone even apologetic. She stared at me. Her expression was unreadable as she nodded slowly.
“Please take a seat” she pointed to the set of couches In the office.
I sank unto the couch closer to her desk.
“It’s nice to see you again”
“How may I help you Mr Drake?” Ria said after she settled back in her chair.
I will be fine with Just Drake! I wanted to say but I bit back my words.
“Oh yes..Ria -” I paused
And continued after taking in a deep breathe.
“Perhaps are you aware that my company Limos produces the best Fabrics in USA”
She shook her head.
“No..I only know Lint Corp to be the best Textile Industry in Chicago”
I nodded in agreement
“So Lint Corp supplies RRC Right?”
“Yes.. And that makes Ian and I business partners”
Hmm Good..Business Partners! I’ll be glad to be her partner too!
“I have an offer for you” I rested my back on the couch and crossed my legs.
“what offer?” She asked
“Limos can also supply Fabrics to your store at lower prices.. plus silk and lace too if that is necessary too”
She was silent. And I waited for her response
“At a lower price -” She paused and I nodded
“And who will bear the cost of bringing the supplies to Chicago from Idaho?”
“We have a local branch here in Chicago. It’s about four hours drive to this place”
Limos Local Branch in Chicago can supply RRC with every materials. But the drive from Idaho to Chicago is about 24hours 38minutes.. That won’t be easy. So local branch is the best option. And I already spoke to the manager in charge of the branch.
“Mr Drake I didn’t know Limos had a branch here in Chicago”
“Yes..and we’ve been running it for years now. We supply to some famous clothes designer and materials store owners too”
“At lower prices?”
“Ahmm.. No” I answered sincerely
I decided to supply at lower prices because I don’t want to lose the five million dollars deal with Ian.
Her forehead creased.
“So. Why do you want to supply RRC at lower price?”
“That’s how Limos does to new cloth designer”
Well that’s partly true!
“We reach out to upcoming designers and help them with materials they need”
Ria shook her head slowly
“Okay”
“So are you accepting my offer?”
“No I’d have to talk to Ian about it before making any decision”
“Is that necessary?”
“Yes..cause practically Ian own RRC. He invested a lot here. So I have to tell him”
Well its better for me! If she tell Ian.. I’m sure he will advise her against it and if he call me I will tell him to sign the deal if he doesn’t want me to partner with Ria Robert.
“And his company supplies RRC.. accepting your offer just like that will make me a traitor”
“Okay” I stood up
I removed a complimentary car from my suit pocket and gave it to her.
“Call me whenever you are ready”
She collected it.
“Okay”
“Yeah..goodbye”
I made my way towards the door and walked out of the office.

*RIA POV*
I heard a soft knock on the door few seconds after Drake left my office. I could hardly believe it when Liza said Drake Robert was here to see me. I wondered why he was here. And immediately he stepped right into my office that pervert had stared at me.. my chest..it wasn’t as if it was too exposed. He looked fixedly like how he did at the BMW’s party. I felt uncomfortable at his intense gaze and I was forced to snap him out of the silly idea forming in his head. And I only managed to act calm around him.
Mrs Elise walked in with a concerned look on her face.
“Miss Ria I saw this man in the hallway when I was about stepping out of the work room”
She saw Drake!
“That was Drake Robert”
“Drake..Robert?” Her eyes widened in surprise and shock.
“Yes..Frederick’s son”
“Yes..yes..I know the one you met at the dinner party”
I nodded
“Why was he here?”
“To make a offer”
I explained Drake’s reason for coming to see me. I clicked on the mini Laptop on the desk and searched for “Limos Local Fabric Branch in Chicago”
“I can’t believe this is happening Miss Ria” She said and came to my side
The search brought out images of Limos Fabric Branch in Chicago.
“Same here Mrs Elise”
“So what did you tell him?”
“I told him I was going to tell Ian about it”
She sighed
“What do you want?”
She was trying to say that what would I do if Ian wasn’t in the picture
“I don’t know…I know this is a chance to get to Frederick.. But Mrs Elise I don’t want Ian to feel like I’m starting to turn against him..like I want to betray him after everything he’s done for me. And so since Lint Corp supplies RRC I don’t need Limos Fabrics”
“So you are willing to put Revenge aside and think of Ian’s feeling”
“Mrs Elise I gave up on revenge”
“You don’t want Frederick to pay for his crimes?”
“He will definitely pay for his crimes.. but I won’t do the killing him. I want Justice. I realized that Revenge will get me trouble..like ending up in jail if I kill him with my own hands”
“So does that means you will go by my suggestion of Reinvestigation?”
“Yes..Ethan told me reinvestigation is the best option”
I already introduced Ethan to Mrs Elise and Loretta when he came around yesterday. Actually I wasn’t able to tell her everything I discussed with Ethan.. Just that he knows about my past.
“And I think you should still try to consider telling Mr Ian what Frederick did to you”
“Yes..yes you’re right. But I’m -”
“You’re afraid that he would leave if he finds out what you used to be to Lucas”
I nodded slowly
“Well have you thought of how he would feel if he finds out from another source?” She asked and I became silent.
She is right..but at the same time Ian won’t find out from another source except if Mrs Elise or Ethan discloses it to him.
Ethan is on the search for a Private Investigator we can trust. And he mentioned that we need strong connection with the police. Some one who has strong connection in the Judicial System. He asked if Ian knew about me and I told him No. He concluded that Ian was the best option.
I’m not ready to tell Ian.. Or maybe I want to but I’m just scared. I told Ethan not mention it to him. Though I didn’t tell Ethan I was scared Ian would reject me if he finds out about my past. I would be the one to tell him..when the time comes.
“Why don’t you try telling him about it first and see if he will leave you. To be honest Miss Ria, i don’t think any man in his right senses will turn his back on you because of that..i mean it wasn’t your fault. You were a victim of circumstance. And I want you to stop seeing yourself as Lucas’s sex slave because all that is gone.. Try to put your past behind you”
“I want to – believe me Mrs Elise I want to put everything behind me..and forget it. I want to Tell Ian everything But -”
“Listen Miss Ria – Time waits for no one” She cuts in
“And your excuses will not slow down time neither will your indecisions delay it. What I’m trying to say is that.. don’t waste your time in anger, regrets,hate and worries because time will not turn back and cry with you” She placed her hand on my shoulder
“Miss Ria its time to let go of the past. I’m not saying you shouldn’t avenge your parents death.. But all I’m saying Is that..The time is now.. The time to make the right decisions”
I wrapped my arms around her waist
“Thank you Mrs Elise”
“So will you tell him everything?”
Yes! It seems Ian is the only one that can help me now! I need his connections to be able to put that monster in jail. And my mind will also be at rest if i tell Ian everything. But if after telling Ian and he rejects me then I will have to accept my fate again and probably move on.
Then the thought of Ian rejecting me..and me not seeing him set tears in my eyes.
I need to work up the courage to tell Him.. Everything.
