AT THE MAXWELL MANSION

Ella took a de-ep breathe feeling nervous already, Lious smiled, noticing her nervousness. He took her hand, rubbing it slowly
“My parents are nice, they are surely gonna accept you” He rea-ssured her
“I know….. I just feel nervous, it’s my first time meeting them you know. How am I looking? does the hairstyle fit me? how about the dress? isn’t it too revealing? will they like it?” Ella questioned,all at once
“Chill huh? you look great” He smiled
“Are you ready?” He added, with his hand on the door knob. She nodded gently
He twisted the knob and opened the door
A gasp escaped her li-ps, the event hall had been decorated. With the design and all that, it could be seen as a rich party. People were present already
“Son” A voice sounded from afar making them turn, only to behold a woman and Lia. A frown settled on Lious face as soon as he sighted Lia
“What’s she doing here?” He muttered with gritted teeth, his hand folding into a fist
The woman advanced closer to them with Lia following suite
“Look who we have here, you look dashing” The woman smiled, pulling him into a hug
“Happy birthday Mom” He replied, reciprocating the hug
“Meet my Mom” Lious introduced
“Awwn, she’s so pretty” His Mom gushed, pulling Ella into a hug
“Nice to meet you…. I’m Ella, Lious
She paused on her statement not knowing what to cla-ssify herself
“She’s my fiancee and the mother of my unborn child” Lious bailed her out, wrapping his hand on her waist.
Their eyes wide-ned in shock, including Ella
“But …. how about Lia? I thought you both are dating” His mom uttered
“We aren’t Mom, we have nothing in common” He glared at Lia, who rolled her eyeballs
“Just let her stay for the party okay? We’ll talk later” She patted him on his shoulder, before leaving
“Are you this shameless? What gave you the audacity to show your face here?” Lious asked, glaring daggers at her
“Whatever…. I got permission from your Mom, It’s not like you can chase me out” She muttered, glaring at Ella, who stood undaunted. She catwalked away, with her heels making clic-king sounds
“I’m sorry” Lious turned to face Ella, who had a blank expression on
“It’s fine…. It’s not your fault” Ella forced a smile.
“Bestie,”Vera said as she walk up to her.
“Am soo glad you are here,”Ella replied and hug her.
“This is Clark Medina,my boss,”Vera said.
“it soo nice to finally meet you,”Clark said.
“same here, this is Lious Maxwell my boyfriend,”Ella replied and Lious stretch his hand to shake Clark.
“it nice to finally meet you Lious,”Clark said and accept his hand shake.
“Am soo happy that you guys are back together,”Vera said happily.

Lia catwalked into the kitchen area, with a smirk playing on her face
“Ma’am, what do you want? You shouldn’t have come here” One of the maids said, rushing to her
“I think you’ll be perfect for the plan ….. I’m sure you’ll do the job well” Lia muttered, staring at the maid keenly
“Huh?”
“You heard me correctly…. I need you to do something for me and you’ll get paid, handsomely. Just name your price and you’ll get it” Lia smiled
The maid swallowed into nothing while thinking hard.

“Here” A maid said, handing a glas-sof wine to Ella
“I didn’t order for this…. I’m sure you’re mistaken'” Ella smiled
“It’s actually my gift to you” The maid returned the smile
“A gift to me? Why are you giving me a gift?” Ella blinked rapidly, looking confused
“Because you look pretty”
Her cheek heated up as soon as she heard that, She took the wine glas-sfrom her and took a sip.
“Thanks a lot”
“Make sure you drink all of it” The maid bowed lightly, before walking off
Ella sighed de-eply, looking around. Her gaze locked with Lious who was exchanging pleasantries with some business a-ssociate. She let out a sigh, feeling bored already,She took the wine and drank a bit from it suddenly she begin to feel dizzy.
“Are you okay Ella?”Vera asked worriedly as she noticed how Ella was behaving.
“I don’t feel too good Vera,”Ella replied as she hold her stomach.
“what is it Ella?”Vera asked worriedly.
“Ahhhh,”Ella cried out in pain.
“speak to me Ella what going on,”Lious said immediately he walk up to them.
“I don’t Lious but am feeling soo much pain right now,”Ella cried out as she clutches her stomach tightly.
“I don’t know what happening to her Lious,”Vera said.
“Ahhh,”Ella cried out and faints.
“Ella, Ella,”Lious called out but he got no reply from her,he immediately pick her up in a bridal style and rush straight to his car,he immediately put her in the car and drove off heading straight to the hospital.
“Please be safe baby,”Lious said worriedly.
Lia immediately left the party to her mansion,she was soo happy and even decided to celebrate her success. She pick up a bottle of wine and pop it up.
“Finally I am able to get rid of Ella and also the baby, before he get to the hospital she will be died and also her baby,”Lia laugh out loud like a maniac.

“I just hope nothing bad happens to Ella,”Vera cried out as Clark console her.
“nothing bad will happen to her and the baby,am sure she is a very strong lady,”Clark said trying to calm her down.
“She just drank a non alcoholic wine and suddenly she begin to feel pain,”Vera said and suddenly stop when she realizes something was wrong.
Vera pick the remaining glas-sof wine Ella drank from.
“We need to get this examined,”Vera said.
“And why is that?”Clark replied.
“What if Ella was poisoned,”Vera said.
“Who will dare try to poison her?”Clark asked confusingly.
“There is only one personwho could do such and she should get ready for her funeral because I will kill her myself,”Vera said determined…..
