Mr. Monterio’s eyes kept widening the more as his eyes took in her dressing. This was the woman whom he loved all his whole life, the mother of his children, the one who abandoned him when he needed her the most.
His eyes scanned her face, then her clothing. The once beautiful woman has suddenly looked pale. Her face which was thin and her cheeks flat shows how she was malnourished.
Her eyes, which were always bright and happy, were filled with sadness.
Her se-xy body that always kills him everyday has turned to a thin and skinny one. Mere by looking at her, he could sense that she has suffered a lot.
“Andrius,” Cecilia whispered and he snapped out of his thoughts.
He stared at her with his eyes full of hatred.
“Do I know you?” He asked.
Cecilia wasn’t shocked with his actions. She was expecting even more than that from him.
“You need to listen to me, Andrius. I…”
“And why should I listen to you? What the hell are you even doing in this estate?! Who allowed you in!” He yelled.
Cecilia’s li-ps quivered and tears kept rolling down her cheeks.
“I’m sorry” she whispered.
“I know no amount of words can show how sorry I am, but everything wasn’t my fault. It wasn’t, you need to believe me” she cried. She tried to touch him but he pushed her to the floor rou-ghly.
Cecilia fell ha-rd on the floor, her knees scraping the ha-rd ground.
“Ma’am!!” Alexa rushed to her and held her shoulder. She raised her head and glared at Mr. Monterio.
“How dare you?! Do you know what she has gone throu-gh? Do you know what she went throu-ghin the hands of that monster just to see you?!” She yelled angrily.
“You should have at least heard her out before hurting her!”
All Cecilia did was to cry. She felt vulnerable at that moment.
“And what has that got to do with me? Why do I need to know every fuc-k ing thing about her life?!”
“Get lost from here and don’t let me set my eyes on you again” he said coldly before entering the car.
“You need to leave before the Chairman calls the guards on you” the Driver said and entered the car too. The car drove out of sight and Cecilia started crying loudly.
She already knew he wouldn’t believe her, not after all the years that she was away.
Just if only, if only she had told him the truth, if only she had just confided in him, this wouldn’t have happened. She would still be with her husband and children.
Thinking of it made her cry har-der .
“Ma’am, you need to get yourself together” Alexa said, ru-bbing her shoulder soothingly.
A car suddenly arrived and out of it Robert came out laughing sinisterly.
“Oh lala, who do we have here?” He grinned.
Alexa’s eyes wide-ned and her fingers tightened around Cecilia’s shoulder, digging de-ep into her skin.
“Ma…. Master,” she stammered, her eyes widening in fear.
Cecilia wasn’t left out too, for Robert should find her here, then it’s over for her.
Robert got to them, he bent to their level before landing a ha-rd slap on Cecilia’s cheek. Her li-ps bursted immediately.
“Ma’am!” Alexa yelled.
Cecilia’s face went to the other side, her li-ps bleeding.
Robert glanced at Alexa and landed a blow on her face.
“How dare you bi-tch ?!” He roared.
Alexa burst into tears, holding her red cheek. She could taste her own blood in her mouth already.
“Robert please, don’t hurt her. It was my fault, don’t hurt her” Cecilia pleaded.
Robert chuckled. He placed his hand on her chin and slapped her again, this time more har-der than the first.
Cecilia gro-aned in pain. He grabbed her hair and lifted her up, his hand tightening around her hair.
Alexa was still writhing on the floor in pain.
“What if you escaped from me? Do you think Andrius is gonna believe you? Do you?!” He yelled.
“I don’t care, as long as I’m away from you then I’m satisfied” Cecilia spat on his face.
His hand loosened on her hair and he wiped his face with his hand.
Cecilia quickly held Alexa by the arm and dragged her up.
“Let’s go,” she whispered to her.
They both stood up and started running, they hadn’t gotten far when a gunshot was heard.
Alexa fell to the floor, gr-unting in pain.
Cecilia’s eyes wide-ned and she bent beside her.
“Alexa! Alexa, are you okay? Please,”
Alexa held her bleeding leg and smiled at her sadly.
“I’m fine, ma’am” she whispered.
Roberto approached them, smiling dangerously.
“Do you think you can escape from me?” He asked.
The gate to Mr. Monterio’s house suddenly opened and seven guards rushed out. They got alerted when they heard the sound of a gunshot.
“It’s an a-ssa-ssin!” One yelled and Robert growled loudly.
“I’ll be back for you”
He quickly ran to his car and the car drove off immediately.
Cecilia breathed out in relief and stared at Alexa who was groa-ning in pain.
“Alexa,” she whispered in tears.
“We did it, ma’am,” Alexa smiled.
The guards walked towards them and Cecilia knelt on her knees and clasped her hands together.
“Please, save us. She’s dying please” she begged.
The guards stared at each other before helping Alexa to her feet.
“They almost got killed,” one of them said.
“Follow us,” another one said.
They held Alexa and they both walked towards the mansion.

HOWARD UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL***
Layla sat in the room, staring at the ceiling. She was bored and she suddenly misses Jaime.
“Jaime,” she whispered. If he was here, he would have been keeping her company by now.
She looked at her Mom who was already dozing off.
“Erm… Hello?” She called but Mrs. Rogers didn’t bulge.
She bit her li-ps.
“Mom,” she called again.
Mrs. Rogers’ eyes snapped open and she stared at her in surprise.
“Did… Did you just call me Mom?” She asked in shock.
“I’m bored, I wanna go back to school”
Mrs. Rogers smiled happily.
“Sure, baby. Sure sweetheart, you’ll go” she said.
“Finally” Layla smiled.

MONTERIO’S INVESTMENT**
The elevator opened and Charles came out of it with Jace beside him.
A smile left Charles’ li-ps when he saw Hailey by her table, staring at her computer screen.
“Let’s talk later, Jace. See ya’ later” he tapped his shoulder before walking ahead from him.
Jace scoffed loudly, tucking his hands into his pan-ts pocket.
“Now I just realized being single is really bad,” he muttered. He turned and walked back to the elevator.

Charles got to Hailey’s table, he whistled and Hailey raised her head.
Her heart skipped a thousand times when her eyes landed on him. He was looking extraordinarily hot today, like smoking hot!
Charles smiled when he saw her drooling over him, that’s exactly what he wanted.
“Am I that handsome?” He asked.
Hailey smiled.
“More than handsome,” she admitted.
He walked to the desk and sat on it lightly, he touched her hair fondly.
“I missed you,” he muttered.
“I didn’t get the chance to ki-ss you last night, that was one hell of a torture” he said.
Hailey giggled.
“I missed you too,” she said.
“Should I go and get you your coffee now?” She asked.
He shook his head.
“I don’t want coffee,” he said.
“Then what?” Hailey asked, getting where he was going.
“I wanna taste your li-ps,” he said. He lifted her in his arms and headed to his office.
“Can you stop being Nau-ghty for once?” Hailey muttered, looking around to make sure no one was seeing them.
“Not when it comes to you, Cara” he placed a brief ki-ss on her li-ps.
She grinned and placed her arms around his neck, staring into his eyes as he walked into the office.
Immediately he set his foot into the office, Charles shut the door and rested Hailey’s back on it, his hand went to her b*tt caressing it slowly.
“Mind if I destroy your li-ps, baby?” He murmured softly, leaning his face closer to hers.
“I don’t mind,” she whispered, staring at his li-ps.
His li-ps slammed ha-rd against her own as they engaged in a fierce ki-ss, tongues battling against each other.

WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN HIGH SCHOOL***
“I love you, Lilian,” Mickey muttered.
Lilian stared at him without saying a word. She didn’t even know what to say.
“I know you don’t love me, but can I wait for you? I can wait as long as you love me back, just please don’t reject my love”
“Michael,” Lilian called softly.
Mickey smiled.
“This is the first time you’ll be calling me by my name,” he muttered.
“Why are you suddenly acting cool?” Lilian asked, trying to ease the tension that’s building between them.
“Am I?” He chuckled.
She nodded before biting her li-ps.
“This is so sudden, Michael. I’m really short of words right now” she muttered.
“Of course I understand, but I’ll be here waiting for you Lilian, anytime” he said.
She smiled gently at him before walking back to her seat.
Soon, some students started arriving in the cla-ss.
Jaime entered the clas-sand he smiled when he saw the both of them in cla-ss.
“Hi, inlaw” he waved at Lilian.
Lilian chuckled before waving back.
He went to Mickey and sat beside him.
“Hey, dude” Mickey greeted him.
Jaime ignored him totally and placed his backpack on his chair.
“I’m sorry,” Mickey muttered after some time.
Jaime glanced at him.
“Like seriously, am I really your friend? How could you keep something like this from me?” He asked.
“Because I know she’s in love with you. I didn’t want to lose you both so I kept it from you” he said.
“Doesn’t that hurt? I mean, keeping your feelings to yourself, that shit hurts like hell” Jaime said.
“It hurts more than you ever think”
“So, have you talked it out with her?” Jaime asked.
“Yes, but I’m gonna wait for her to love me back” Mickey said.
Jaime smiled and held his shoulder.
“I got your back, dude,” he muttered.
“Thank you”
By now, the clas-swas already filled as almost all the students were in cla-ss.
Wyatt sat in his seat, Jayden and Cole not far away from him.
Layla entered the clas-sand all eyes fell on her.
? Layla??
? She looks so much beautiful now
? Where have she been? It’s been long since I saw her in school
? She’s smiling, isn’t that strange?
Wyatt smiled widely when his eyes settled on her.
Layla was walking towards him and he held his breath as she kept approaching him.
To his disappointment, she walked past him and stopped right at Jaime’s table.
“Hi, Jaime,” she smiled.
“You didn’t tell me you’ll be resuming today,” Jaime said, surprised.
Layla flung her hair to the back.
“The hospital was so boring, so I thought of coming back to school” she said.
She looked around the clas-sand noticed the stares on her.
“Damn, this school is so creepy. Why are they all staring at me?” She muttered.
Mickey nudged Jaime slightly.
“What’s with her? She’s acting different” he muttered.
Jaime smiled.
“Just accept it the way you see it” he said.
“Where’s my seat?” Layla asked.
“Nevermind. I’ll just sit beside you” she said.
Mickey stared at her.
“Then I should leave?” He asked in surprise.
“I didn’t say anything,” she shrugged.
Jaime chuckled. He doesn’t know why but he found the new Layla more interesting.

DEL ROSA’S MANSION***
“We’ll be attending an event tonight, and I’m sure Charles will be there,” Alberto said.
“This is our chance, we must use it well to destroy Charles”
“How?” Stephanie asked.
Alberto smirked.
“His girlfriend,” he said.
Stephanie creased her brow before her li-ps curved up in a smile.
“I’ll be needing your help,” Alberto said.
“I’m more than ready, Alberto,” she said.
As long as it’s going to separate Charles from his girlfriend, then she’s more than ready.

ROGER’S RESIDENCE***
Mrs. Rogers entered the room and her eyes fell on her husband’s frames which were hanging on the walls.
Slowly, she walked towards it and picked a frame before smashing it to the floor.
“Arghhhh!!!” She screamed.
She picked another one and smashed it to the floor.
May rushed in looking frightened.
“Madam!” She shouted.
Mrs. Rogers kept smashing the frames on the ground, the gla-sses shattering into pieces.
It’s time for her to let go of the past and focus on her daughter. Every memory about her husband, she made sure to destroy them.
Now, she needs to win her daughter’s heart back.

MONTERIO’S INVESTMENT***
Jace wandered around the company, his eyes searching all the females around.
“fuc-k , how do I find her now?” He asked himself.
“Should I ask Charles?” He quickly shook his head away.
Charles would definitely make fun of him.
“What about Hailey?” He smiled at that thought.
“Perfect!” He made to rush to the elevator when he bumped into someone.
He quickly caught her by the wai-st and the coffee in her hand spilled to the ground.
His eyes went wide when he saw the lady he was looking for right in his arms.
“Fate,” he smiled to himself.
Sunny opened her eyes and gasped when she saw herself in his arms. She thought she was going to fall to the ground.
“Thank you” she whispered.
She tried to move away from him but his hands tightened around her.
“Stay still for a moment” he muttered, his eyes turning to a wistful one.
He moved closer to her and pressed his li-ps on her own.
Sunny’s eyes went wide.
