“First night??” Hailey stuttered, staring at him with wide eyes. Different thoughts were already swimming in her mind.
First night?? Like they’re gonna do that stuff?? IMPOSSIBLE!
Charles stared at her as she was already lost in thought, he shook his head before poking her forehead with a finger.
That brou-ght Hailey out of her trance, she blinked her eyes still staring at him.
“What are you thinking of, Cara Mia?” He asked as a smirk displayed on his li-ps.
“Perhaps, are you thinking of something dirty?” He raised a brow.
“Of course not!” Hailey quickly said.
Charles grinned.
“I don’t believe that,” he teased.
Hailey looked away, bit-ing her li-ps.
“Can’t believe my girlfriend is being Naug-hty right now,” Charles said.
“I wasn’t thinking dirty!” Hailey shouted.
“If you aren’t thinking dirty, why are you getting worked up over it?” He teased again.
His hand, which was on her towel, moved to her cheek and caressed it.
“When I said our first night together, I meant our first night as a couple,” he muttered.
“Should we cuddle? Or watch movies before we go to bed?” He asked.
Hailey felt embarra-ssed. He asked such an innocent question and her mind decided to start thinking dirty.
“None, I’m suddenly feeling sleepy” she faked a yawn and tried to move away from him.
Charles pulled her back to him and her body got glued to his on the wall.
Her towel almost loosened but his ha-rd ch-est prevented it from doing so.
“Cara Mia, I want you to believe that I’m not after your body, I’m after your heart not your body, okay? So keep all negative thoughts away, this man here is gonna cherish you till the rest of his life” he muttered.
Hailey smiled as she stared at him, she tiptoed and pecked his cheek.
‘Don’t make me regret falling in love with you please’ she said within her.

“Wear my shirt tonight, I love it more on your body” Charles said when she tried to pick a dress from her bag.
Hailey shook her head. He handed a shirt to her and she sighed before collecting it from him.
She went to the bathroom to get dressed and returned back. She laid on the bed and turned her back to him.
Charles moved closer to her and placed his hand beneath her bo-obs, pulling her body closer to his
“Why don’t we go back to Washington three weeks later?” He asked, sniffing in her scent.
Hailey chuckled. Is he kidding her right now?
“I just want to stay with you alone here, I wanna explore everywhere with you” he muttered.
“We can always do that later, but now, we need to go back” she muttered.
“We didn’t have the chance to go out together, let’s do that later, baby. Just tell me wherever you wanna go, I’ll gladly take you there” he said.
“As long as I’m with you, I’m fine” Hailey whispered.
Charles smiled. He pressed his body on hers and ki-ssed her shoulder.
“I love you, Hailey”
“I love you too” she replied as she felt her eyes closing on their own.
Charles ki-ssed her ne-ck again before resting his chin on her hair, he closed his eyes and dozed off instantly.

NEXT DAY***
“Can you come over some day? I’d love to see you again” Joanna said to Hailey. They’re already set for leaving, their bags are already in the car.
“Sure, I will,” Hailey muttered.
“Take care of Charles for me, I could sense that he’s happy being with you” Joanna said.
“I will”
Charles entered the room.
“Cara Mia, the car is ready. Let’s go, we don’t wanna miss our flight” he said.
Hailey smiled before nodding her head.
“We’ll be leaving now, thanks for always checking up on me” she smiled at Joanna.
“I should be thanking you for being Charles’ woman. You should be going, don’t miss your flight” Joanna said.
Charles moved closer to her and hug-ged her briefly.
“Bye Joanna, thanks for your help” he muttered.
“Take care of Hailey or you’re gonna receive it from me” Joanna faked a stern face.
“I won’t dare hurt her,” Charles smiled.
They all went out of the suite and Charles walked to the receptionist.
“Here’s the key, make sure no one enters my suite or you’re gonna lose your job” he warned sternly.
“I won’t dare, sir” the receptionist said and collected the key from him.
“We hope to see you again soon,” she added.
Hailey rolled her eyes as she stared at her.
The receptionist glanced at her and Hailey gave her the look of : ‘hey girl, he’s mine. You can only stare but he’ll never be yours’
She took her eyes away and Hailey smir-ked.
“Let’s go, baby” Charles said to Hailey, he wrapped his arm around her and they both went out of the hotel.
The receptionist stared at them till they were out of sight before scoffing loudly.
“Who does she think she is?” She muttered.
“But she’s beautiful” she mumbled in jealousy.

“I’m gonna miss you both” Joanna pouts when they get outside the hotel.
“We’ll come around some other time,” Charles said.
Joanna pecked Hailey’s cheek before whispering into his ears.
“Don’t break his heart please”
Hailey smiled before nodding her head.
“Let’s go” Charles said.
They both entered the car and Joanna waved at them till the car drove out of sight.
“I hope you guys stay together forever” she mumbled to herself.

WASHINGTON DC***
WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN HIGH SCHOOL***
Jaime watched as Layla sat alone in her seat, he could sense that she was bored. He faced Mickey who was busy on his phone.
“I’ll be at Layla’s,” he said.
Mickey nodded.
“I hope you won’t get hurt again this time around,” he muttered. He knew how much Jaime loves Layla and he knows what he went throu-ghwhen he found out she was dating Wyatt.
Jaime smiled. He stood up and walked to Layla’s seat.
“Why do you love being alone?” He asked as he sat beside her.
Layla turned to look at him.
“What are you doing here?” She asked.
“Nothing, I just wanna stay with you since you’re alone,” he said.
Layla looked away and he sighed.
“You said I should help you with your math a few days ago, is it too late now?” He asked.
“No, I su-ckat it and it’s frustrating” Layla said as she looked at him again.
“Can you show me what’s giving you problems?”
“Sure” she took her book from her locker and Jaime smiled as he stared at her.
“Layla?” He called.
Layla took her gaze from her book and stared at him.
“Can we be friends?” He found himself asking.
“I’m not saying this out of pity, I just want to be your friend,” he quickly added.
Layla continued staring at him. She was surprised he was asking to be her friend.
They rarely talk to each other in school, she doesn’t have any friends so he asking to be her friend was a bit surprising to her.
“Sure,” she smiled.
Lilian watched them from afar, she bit her li-ps before looking away.
She couldn’t believe he was all over Layla now.
“Lilian,are you okay?” Tracy asked.
“I don’t think so. It hurts seeing your crush with another girl” Pearl said.
“But Jaime is in love with Layla, what are you gonna do?” Tracy asked.
“Why don’t you just let him know your feelings towards him?” Pearl asked.
Lilian sighed.
“You guys should stop, I’m not in the mood for this” she said.
Tracy and Pearl looked at themselves.
“Okay” they chorused.

LUNCH BREAK***
“Lilian, aren’t you going to the cafeteria?” Jaime asked Lilian.
“So, you finally realized I’m here,” Lilian said.
“I’m sorry, Layla was all alone, so I…”
She stood up before he could complete his words.
“Layla! Layla! Layla!” She screamed
“Why’s it all about her?”
“Lilian….”
“Because she broke up with Wyatt, does that mean you stand a chance with her? You are always with her, do you know how much that annoys me?” She shouted.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t neglect you on purpose,” Jaime said.
Lilian shook her head before running out of the cla-ss.
Jaime turned to Layla who had been listening to everything they were saying.
“You should go after your friend” Layla for-ced a smile at him.
“I’m sorry” Jaime muttered before running after Lilian.
Layla bit her li-ps. Maybe avoiding him will be the best, she wouldn’t want to be bone of contention in their friendship.
Wyatt entered the clas-sand when he sighted Layla alone in the cla-ss, he went to meet her.
“Baby” he called.
“Don’t call me that” Layla stared at him in nothing but hatred.
“I’m sorry. It was a play, but that isn’t it anymore. I love you, I swear I fell for you” he said.
Layla chuckled
“Do you expect me to believe that shit again?”
“You know what? Do me the favor of staying away from me” she muttered.
“Baby…”
“Stop calling me that! Do you know what I’m regretting right now? I regret ever accepting being your girlfriend because the only thing you did was to add to my pains!” She shouted.
She glared at him before storming out of the cla-ss.
Wyatt hit the table in anger. How’s he going to make her trust him again?

“Lilian! Wait please!” Jaime yelled as he ran after Lilian.
Lilian stopped just when she got to the football field.
“I’m sorry, okay? I’m sorry if I made you feel bad” Jaime said.
She turned to look at him.
“She was just alone and I felt…”
“Why do you care about her so much?” She cuts him off.
“You know the answer, Lilian”
“Then what about me? Don’t you love me too?” She asked before she could stop herself.
“It’s always about Layla, don’t you feel anything for me too? I like you, Jaime. I like you so much and I hate it when you’re with Layla, it’s really hurting me”
Jaime staggered in shock after the revelation. He couldn’t believe his ears.
“Layla already broke up with Wyatt, but with the look of things, Wyatt still wants her back. Do you think you stand a chance with her?”
“Stop…”
“Jaime!”
“Stop!!” He shouted, looking at her with a look she has never seen on his face.
“Lilian, I like you but as a friend. Stop your feelings for me, Lilian, so you won’t get hurt” he said
Tears sli-pped down Lilian’s cheeks.
“You know how much I love you as a friend, let’s not end our friendship this way please” he muttered.
He turned to walk away, Lilian ran after him and hug-ged him from behind. She rested her head on his back.
“No please, I don’t want your friendship, Jaime. I don’t” she whispered as she cries.
Jaime broke the hug, he turned to her and cup-ped her cheeks in his hands. Tenderly, he wiped her tears.
“Lilian, I love Layla and you know that. My heart beats for only her, I don’t want you to get hurt, so please stop your feelings for me” he said. He turned and then walked away.
Lilian fell to the floor, her hand went to her ch-est as her tears fell heavily.
“I don’t want you as a friend anymore” she cries.

AT THE AIRPORT***
Charles and Hailey alighted from the jet. They were led to the car where Charles’ bodyguards were already waiting.
“Welcome Boss!” They greeted.
Charles faced Hailey.
“For now, you need to go home and rest. You can resume work whenever you like” he said.
“I’m not going to do that, expect me tomorrow, sir Charles” she smiled.
Charles frowned.
Hailey giggled and entered the car. She popped her head outside and blew a ki-ss at him.
Charles smiled before entering the car, he sat beside her.
The guards exchanged glances between themselves. It was an odd sight for them seeing their Boss acting this way.
“Dad asked us to visit as soon as we arrived… When should we do that?” He asked.
“Tomorrow, I think,” Hailey said.
“Cool..I’ll call him to tell him about that” Charles said.
They got to Hailey’s house and the car parked in front of the restaurant.
“I’ll call you tonight,” Charles said.
Hailey nodded with a smile. She was about to open the car door when Charles caught her hand.
She turned to him with a questioning look on her face.
Charles pouted his li-ps and tapped it twice.
She chuckled and leaned over to him. She placed a peck on it and Charles frowned.
Just as she was about to pull her away, he grabbed her by the wa-ist and de-epened the ki-ss, ki-ssing her for a very long time.
He pulled away when he was satisfied and Hailey hit his ch-est.
“I love you” he muttered.
Hailey smiled. She got out of the car and waved at him.
Charles winked at her before the car drove away.
Hailey entered the restaurant, her eyes fell on her parents who were busy talking on the counter.
“Guess who’s back?!”
At the sound of that voice, Leah and Sebastian’s head snapped to the angle and their eyes wide-ned.
“Hailey!”
Hailey rushed to them and hug-ged them happily.
“I miss you,” she said.
“I miss you too” Leah and Sebastian chorused.
“How was your trip?” Leah asked after they broke the hug.
“It was fine but hectic, I need to shower” Hailey said.
“Have a shower and rest, okay? You must be so tired” Sebastian said.
Hailey smiled and pecked their cheeks respectively.
“How’s sales?” She asked.
“Fine” Leah answered.
“I’ll see you later, I need to sleep for a while,” Hailey said.
“Jaime will be so glad to find out his sister is back” Leah smiled when Hailey was gone.
Sebastian nodded in agreement.

CHARLES MANSION, AT NIGHT***
“How was your trip with your secretary?” Jace asked as he and Charles spoke over the phone.
“Fantastic” Charles smiled.
Jace raised his brow.
“Why do I sense something behind that word?” He asked
“Hailey is my girlfriend now,” Charles said.
“What?!!!” Jace shouted over the phone.
“Do you really have to shout that way?”
“This is so shocking to me. When? How? You don’t do your employees, Charles” Jace said.
“Hailey is exceptional,” Charles said.
“Are you sure this not all about fu-cking her?”
“No. I love Hailey, very much”
“Whoa!!!”
“I don’t think I can take your scream again, let’s see tomorrow” Charles said and hung up.
He went to the bed and lay on it, he was about to call Hailey when a call came in on his phone. It was an unknown number.
“Who are you?” He asked after picking the call.
“It’s me Charles….. Stephanie”
