Arabella ran throu-ghthe large house heading to somewhere in particular. She couldn’t believe it, she just couldn’t.
She remembered what john had told at the garden just a few minute ago.
**
MINUTES AGO**
“Well at least am glad that you are the only one who heard” Arabella said as she gave john a smile.
“Well actually there is something i have to tell you” John spoke out looking a bit worried.
“If it’s bad news then I suggest you keep it or something. I don’t want to hear it. Have had a bad day already i don’t want to have another ”
“I wasn’t the only one there” John said cutting her off.
“What do you mean? Was someone else listening to the conversation?” Arabella asked all attention on him.
“There was someone else there too” John replied.
“Who! Tell me who it is!” Arabella demanded.
**
PRESENT**
Getting to the stairs, arabella took the stairs two at a time not bothering to acknowledge anyone greeting. All she had in mind was getting to her destination.
She made it to the room, and took several de-ep breath before knocking on the door. She was about knocking a fourth time, when the door was pulled open.
“We have to talk” She said as she walked into the room.
She tried thinking of a way to broach the subject to him, but when nothing came, she turned to him.
“Judging from the way you keep staring. John must have told you” Gerald spoke first.
“He did and i….”
“Nothing you say can justify what you did ara or should i say bella” He said folding his arms.
“I know that nothing i say can justify what i did, but you’ve got to hear me out” Arabella said.
“What more is there to listen to? I already heard everything when you were talking to your father” He replied.
“But that isn’t all of it” Arabella stated.
“Do you still have more secrets? I thought i heard it all” Gerald said cynically.
“Its not a secret gerald, it’s an explanation” She replied hopefully.
“An explanation. Do you know that have been waiting for that explanation for a while now?” He asked.
“For a while? How long have you known the truth?” She asked, wanting to confirm if he just found out the truth today or if he has known for a while now.
“Ever since that day at the office. The day you took care of me, i heard what you said arabella” He confirmed calling her by her full name.
“You knew since then and you didn’t say a thing? ”
“I didn’t say a thing because i wasnt sure. You words weren’t clear enough for me to understand, and so i decided to know more. I decided to keep shut just so i could know why you were living two identity, and i found that out tonight. You’re fiona’s biological mother” Gerald said.
“I didn’t want to lie to you. I was separated from fiona as soon as she was born. I won’t deny that i felt less burdened, with her not around but i wanted to keep her with me. I wanted her by my side, and when i found her again. I wanted to come to you, but there were some rumours about you then” Arabella told him.
“What rumour?”
“That you were cold hearted, mean and strict. Thinking that you might not give me the chance to see or be with fiona. I decided to fake my way in. I had asked for a few months vacation from my recording company, but when your offer came for my modelling career . I had no choice but to do it since it’s the biggest one have ever gotten”
“And so i began to live as bella the nanny and also as ara the singer. You have no idea how stressful it’s been for me, and i never wanted to decieve you gerald. Decieving you and fiona was the last thing i wanted but i had no choice” She finished sadly.
“Do you know that you’re the mean one here?” Gerald spoke up after being silent for a while.
“I waited. I asked. I wanted you to trust me, and tell me the truth. Am someone who hate lies, but for you i was willing to wait until you’re ready to say it” Gerald said, and she stared at him with utmost concentration.
“I wondered what sort of punishment i could give you for your lies, and have come to a conclusion” He said.
“Firing me as both bella and ara might be the best, but don’t push me out of fiona’s life. I just can’t accept that” She said, concluding for herself.
He walked the few distance that separated them, to stare down at her.
“My punishment isn’t firing you. My punishment is this….” Gerald said, pulling her into his arms and slamming his li-ps on hers.
Arabella was stunned at first, but she quickly adapted to the moment, holding onto him while kis-sing him back.
It was a while later, that they broke the kis-s to stare silently at each other.
“At first i was angry but getting to know you, and your story. I got to realise that some people lie just to be close to their loved ones. You’ve been throu-gha lot arabella” He said, pushing back a strand of hair from her face.
She wasn’t expecting this reaction from gerald. She had been expecting his anger, but his gentleness surprised her.
A gentleness which prompted her into kis-sing him again. Gerald welcomed her kis-s, as he cradled her closer. The kis-s grew into a pa-ssionate one, and the two fell on the bed.
Gerald pulled away to stare down at her.
“No regrets?” He questioned and she nodded.
“No regrets” She replied, as she pulled him down for a kis-s, which led into them making sweet love to each other.
