★ (The Past) ★
“You guys are twins and Mr Roy is not your biological father” Mr Alfred blurted out.
“What?” Rhett and Romeo exclaimed.
“Yes” Mr Alfred said with a nod.
“But how?” Romeo asked.
“Your mom was my girlfriend and we have been dating since in college, we love each other so much and can’t do without each other. One day she came to my hostel looking so sad, I asked her the reason why she was so sad but she refused to tell me”
“Why?” Rhett asked.
Flashback ***
“Elena, tell me… what is it?” Alfred asked, holding her hands.
Elena stared at him as hot tears streamed down her face, he wiped her tears a way and raised her head up.
“Alfred, I am pregnant” Elena said.
Alfred smiled and hug-ged her.
“This is a good news, babe” Alfred said with a smile.
“But babe, you know my dad won’t allow me to marry and if he find out about the pregnancy, he might tell me to ab-ort it” Elena said.
Alfred sighs and rubs his hair.
“If I am rich just like your father, I know he would allow me to marry but because I am poor, he doesn’t want me to marry… babe, I don’t want you to ab-ort this pregnancy” Alfred said.
“Same too, I want us to raise our child together” Elena said, gazing at him.
“You know this is our final year and we are graduating, I promise you as soon as we graduate, I will find a job” Alfred said.
“Awwn, thanks hun… I pray my dad accepts us to marry” Elena said with a smile.
Two months later***
They graduated from college and Alfred got the job, he was so happy and headed straight to Elena’s house to tell her about his job. When he got there, he was surprised to see his best friend sitting on the chair.
“Roy, what are you doing here?” Alfred asked.
“What am I doing here? I should be the one asking you that…can’t you see I am getting engaged today” Roy said.
“With who?” Alfred asked.
“With my daughter” Elena’s dad named Austin said, walking towards them.
“No, tell me you’re joking…where is Elena?” Alfred asked, glancing around.
Elena climbed the stairs, he was shocked to see Alfred, as soon as he saw her, he ran towards her.
“Elena, tell me they are lying” Alfred said, holding her hand.
Elena was about to say something when she remembered what her dad said.
“Elena, say something” Alfred said in tears.
“Alfred, I don’t want to have anything to do with you, I don’t love you at all… please leave me, allow me to marry the person I love and cherish” Elena yelled and yanked her hand away.
“You must be joking, what about our child?” Alfred shouted.
“Child?”
Everyone exclaimed.
“Yes, she is pregnant for me” Alfred said.
“No, it’s not true” Elena said.
Alfred was about to say something when Roy knocked him out.
“That’s good, Roy… guys, go and dump him somewhere far away” Mr Austin said and the guys did as he said.
“Alfred” Elena called as streamed down her face.
“John, lock her in the room” Mr Austin said and angrily.
Elena was dragged upstairs.
“Roy, I am sor…”
“Don’t be, I will marry her and take care of the child” Roy said.
“Thanks” Austin said with a smile.
“I need to be on my way now” Roy said as he stood up.
“Okay, my regards to your dad… tell him I will come and visit him soon” Mr Austin said and Roy nodded and he left.
End of flashback***
“What happened next, Dad” Romeo asked.
“The guys dropped me somewhere far away, I woke up in the hospital and the doctor treated me, he told me it was God that saved me, if not I would have been dead… Some months later, I was in my room dressing up to go to work when an unknown person called me, I picked up and heard your mom’s voice. She told me about you guys and also told me about the hospital she is staying at. I ran there. As soon as I got there, I went to the receptionist and she told me the ward she is” Mr Alfred said, in tears.
Everyone felt sad as they listened to the story.
“When I got there, I met her laying on the bed and the twins were next to her, she told me she begged the doctor not to tell her father she gave birth to twins, she said I should one of you guys with me and never show up again because she doesn’t want her dad to kill me, I refused to take any of you…she touched my face and begged me to take one of you if not she is gonna kill herself, hot streamed down my face… I have no choice so I took one of you guys before I left she told me to name him Romeo and she would name the other boy Rhett, she ki-ssed me then I left” Mr Alfred said.
“So sad” The Doctor said.
“The one I called my dad is your best friend who betrayed you” Rhett said and he nodded.
“Is Elena still with him?” Mr Alfred asked, gazing at Rhett.
Rhett sighs out loud.
“No, she is dead” Rhett said.
Mr Alfred burst into tears.
“Romeo, we are brothers” Rhett said and Romeo nodded.
Mr Alfred moved closer to Rhett and hug-ged him.
“I missed you son and I am so sorry for everything you have gone throu-gh” Mr Alfred said in tears.
“It’s okay, dad” Rhett said and Romeo also hug-ged them.
At Clemson University***
When Piper got outside, she met Mike waiting for her.
“Hey Piper” Mike said with a smile.
“I have done the job, what do you want again” Piper said.
“Yes, that’s true but Piper I am sorry” Mike said as he used his sunshade and a nose mask to cover his face.
“What is it, Mike?” Piper asked.
“Follow me to collect your payment… Mr Roy said I should give you some money” Mike said and she smiled.
Piper and Mike were walking towards the car when someone shot her. Mike smiled and got into his car. Immediately the guys shot Piper, Mike called one of the guys.
“Hello, boss” The guy said.
“You guys can go…when I need you I will call you” Mike said.
“Okay, boss” The guy said and Mike disconnected the call.
“Piper, you thought you would go scot free… I knew Mr Roy would later tell me to kill you” Mike said and drove off.

Two days later, Mr Alfred sat down next to Rhett on the bed and sent Romeo to go and get food for Rhett. Romeo was about to leave when they heard a knock on the door.
“Come in, guys” Rhett said.
Juan and Brian entered, they were shocked.
“Rhett, who is he?” Juan asked, gazing at Romeo.
“You guys look alike” Brian said.
“Guys, he is my twin brother” Rhett said.
“Twin what?” They exclaimed and gasped.
Juan touched Romeo’s face.
“Juan, leave him” Rhett said with a smile.
“But how? We need explanation, Rhett” Brian said as he faced Rhett.
Juan nodded and Rhett narrated everything to them.
Minutes later***
“Mr Roy is not your father” Juan said.
“Yes,” Rhett said with a nod.
“So this man sitting here is your father” Brian said.
“Yes, I’m his father…Romeo, go and Rhett’s food” Mr Alfred ordered.
“Sir, we bought him something to eat” Juan said and brou-ght the food.
“Ohh, thanks” Mr Alfred said.
Juan was about to sit down on a chair when the girls came in, they were also shocked to see Romeo.
“Wow, he looks just like Rhett” Naomi said.
She glanced at Rhett and at Romeo.
“Yes” Mimi said, staring at Romeo.
“Girls, they are twins” Juan blurted out and they gasped.
“Twins? But how” Mimi asked, facing Juan.
“It’s a long story” Juan said.
“Tell…”
“Later, girls” Brian said and they nodded.
Mimi and Naomi sat down together.
“Who is he?” Mimi whispered into Juan’s ear.
Mr Alfred smiled.
“I am Rhett’s father” Mr Alfred said as they gasped.
“Have you guys find Sawyer?” Rhett asked, gazing at them.
They sighs out loud.
“We haven’t find her, Rhett… we search for her everywhere but there is still no sign of her” Mimi said, sadly.
Rhett felt sad, hearing that.
“Rhett, we are sorry” Juan said.
Tears streamed down his face.
“Who is Sawyer, guys?” Romeo asked as he faced them.
“His girlfriend” Naomi said.
“Huh” Romeo said.
“We haven’t find the person that killed Piper” Brian said.
“Is Piper dead” Rhett asked and they nodded.
He was shocked.
Rhett was about to say something when the doctor came in.
“Sir, the lady is awake” The Doctor said.
“Thank God, I’m so happy that she is awake” Mr Alfred said with a smile.
“Dad, which lady is that” Rhett asked, gazing at his dad.
“Rhett, Dad saved a lady inside the water when the doctor treated her, they said she is in comma” Romeo said.
“Oh, let’s go and check on her together” Rhett said and they nodded.
They all left the ward and went to the ward Sawyer’s was staying. When they got inside, everyone was shocked to see Sawyer.
“Sawyer” Mimi called with a smile.
Sawyer was only staring at them.
“I think she lost her memory” The Doctor said.
“Hi, I’m Romeo and this is my twin brother Rhett… this are our friends and my dad” Romeo said.
“Nice meeting you, Romeo… Mimi, Naomi, Juan and Brian, I remembered you guys but who is he” Sawyer asked, pointing at Rhett.
Everyone was shocked.
“Sawyer, you remembered us but you didn’t remember Rhett… your boyfriend” Mimi said, gazing at her.
“I don’t know who he is” Sawyer said.
“Guys, let her take some rest… the doctor said she is pregnant” Romeo said and the doctor nodded.
“Doctor, I am pregnant” Sawyer said.
“Yes, ma’am… Sawyer, you remembered all your friends except him” The Doctor said but she didn’t say anything.
“Sawyer, please remember me… you are carrying our child” Rhett said.
His tears were at the verge of falling.
“Doctor, I want to rest please” Sawyer said and lay down back.
“Sawyer, I know I have hurt but please don’t do this to me” Rhett said in tears.
“Sawyer, if you know you didn’t forget Rhett stop hurting him” Mimi said and Sawyer frowned.
“You guys should leave except from Mr Alfred that saved me” Sawyer said, angrily.
“Sawyer, I am…”
Rhett didn’t complete his statement when the doctor asked him to leave, Mimi glanced at Sawyer before leaving.
They all left except Mr Alfred.
“Sawyer” Mr Alfred called.
“Please who was that guy that look just like Rhett” Sawyer said.
Mr Alfred smiled.
“I know you didn’t forget you but why don’t you wanna see him” Mr Alfred said.
“He lied to me that Mr Roy is his dad” Sawyer said and narrated everything to him.
“You mean Roy was the one that kidnapped you and even sent his guys to throw you in the water” Mr Alfred and Sawyer nodded slowly.
“Okay, Rhett didn’t know he is not Roy’s son” Mr Alfred said then Sawyer glanced at him.
“How??” Sawyer asked, gazing at him.
Mr Alfred narrated everything to her and Sawyer gasped when he was done.
“So Rhett didn’t know” Sawyer said.
“Yes, I didn’t know” Rhett said as he walked in.
Tears streamed down on Sawyer’s face and Rhett walked towards her then he hug-ged her.
“I missed you, snorky bear” Rhett said in tears.
“I missed you too, Mi Corazon” Sawyer said and hug-ged him tightly.
They ki-ssed her.
“Wow” Mimi screamed.
“Mimi, we are in the hospital” Juan said and glared at her.
“Sorry” Mimi apologised.
“I am carrying our child, Rhett” Sawyer said when they disengaged.
“Yes, I love you” Rhett said and wiped her tears away.
“Happy Reunion” Juan said with a smile.
“Thanks. Sawyer, meet my…”
“Brother” Sawyer cuts in.
Hours later, they were busy chatting when a little boy and a woman entered.
“Daddy” Bryan called and ran to him.
“Mom” Romeo called.
Everyone stared at them.
“You are Rhett, right” Mrs Alfred said and Rhett nodded.
“You guys really resemble each other” Mrs Alfred said with a smile.
“Bro” Bryan called and hug-ged Rhett.
Rhett smiled and ruffled his hair.
“Babe, give me your phone I wanna call my dad” Sawyer said.
“Wait… you are the lady dad saved” Bryan said and Sawyer nodded.
Bryan glanced at Sawyer and at Rhett.
“How did you know him?” Bryan asked.
“She is my girlfriend” Rhett said and Bryan smiled.
“I also have a girlfriend at school” Bryan whispered into Rhett’s ear.
“What are you whispering in his ear?” Romeo asked.
“Nothing” Bryan said and shook his head sideways.
Rhett gave Sawyer his phone.
At Mr Miller’s Mansion***
Mr Miller was in his office when his phone rang, he saw Rhett’s name shown on the screen.
“What is Rhett calling for? Is it what I am thinking” Mr Miller said and picked up.
“Hi, dad” Sawyer said.
Mr Miller was surprised to hear Sawyer’s voice, he glanced at his phone.
“This is Rhett’s number, how did she know Rhett?” He thought.
“Sawyer, I have been calling since these days, why don’t you pick my call” Mr Miller asked.
Sawyer told him everything.
“Oh, how are you feeling now?” Mr Miller asked.
“I’m fine, dad” Sawyer said.
“Okay, your mom and I with your sister are coming to America tomorrow,” Mr Miller said.
“Really, I’m so happy” Sawyer said with a smile.
“Can’t wait to see you tomorrow, sweetie” Mr Miller said.
“Okay… speak with you later”’ Sawyer said and hung up.
“How did she know, Rhett?” Mr Miller thought.
