Sawyer was in the room alone sobbing when her phone rang, her dad’s name was shown on the screen, she glanced at it and hung up, she dropped it on the bed. She burst into tears again. Her phone rang, she traced her hand to where the phone is, she wiped her tears away before picking the call.
“Hello” She said.
“Hello… wait, is something wrong?” Mr Miller worriedly.
“Dad, I am fine” She said as tears streamed down her face.
“Sweetie, stop lying… you’re not okay, stop pretending to be okay” Mr Roy said.
She burst into tears.
“Tell me what happened please” Mr Miller said.
She wiped the tears and narrated everything to him.
“What?? Kingston came to Korea…how could he show his face again after what he did to you” Mr Miller furiously.
“Yes, Rhett is angry at me right now… he doesn’t want to see me, Dad” She said, sadly.
“Your boyfriend’s name is Rhett, don’t worry… all you need now is to give him some space” Mr Miller said.
“Okay, Dad” She said with a nod.
“You are the one at fault, you shouldn’t have hid anything from him but don’t worry, he will still come back to you” Mr Miller said.
“Thanks, Dad” She said.
“Should I come to Korea tomorrow?” Mr Roy asked.
“No, Dad… don’t worry, I will be fine” She said.
“Okay, take care” Mr Miller said and hung up.
She stood up on the bed, her face swollen up, she glanced at the mirror and sighed.
“Mi Corazon, I missed you so much” She said.
She undressed her clothes and entered the washroom to take a shower.
Some minutes later, she came out of the washroom with a towel wrapped on her bed, she got dressed and applied cosmetics on her face. She carried her Dior bag, she glanced at the mirror before walking out.
When she got to the college, the students started murmuring, she walked fast-er and used her hair to cover her face.
“How dare her” A girl said.
“Is it true Rhett broke up with her” A guy asked.
“Are you not in college? I think Rhett broke up with her because she is cheating on him” A girl said.
They kept murmuring, some were even insulting her. She was about to ran away when someone held her.
“Rhett” She called as she turned back.
The person turned out to be Kingston, she yanked her hand away as soon as she saw it was him.
“She is still with him” A lady said as she walked away with her friends.
“Stay away from me, Kingston” Sawyer said, angrily.
She ran away with tears on her face. She was still running when she bumped into someone.
“I’m sorry” She apologised without knowing who it was.
She ran away
When she got to the garden, she burst into tears.
“Rhett, I miss you so much… please come back to me” She said, sadly.
At Clemson University***
Rhett stepped into the garden and met Sawyer sobbing, he sighed and ruffled his hair.
“She caused everything…I don’t think I can do without her, should I go and meet her” He thought.
He was about to go and meet her when his phone rang, he turned back to leave when Sawyer saw him.
“Rhett” She called.
He ignored her and received the call.
“Wesley, what is it?” He asked as he walked away.
Sawyer followed him.
“Boss, about the new project with want to develop, its ready” Mr Wesley said.
“Oh, that’s great… I will come to work tomorrow morning, we’re gonna have a meeting tomorrow” He said.
“Okay, boss” Mr Wesley said and he disconnected the call.
He was about to enter the car when Sawyer held his hand, he turned back.
“Leave me alone, didn’t I tell you not to show your ugly face in front of me again?” He said, with a frown.
“Rhett, please forgive me… I’m sorry” She said in tears.
“How could you hide your secret from me, I asked you if you have anything you are hiding from me but you refused to tell me, It’s hurt me… Sawyer” He said, angrily.
Sawyer was about to say something when Karin and Piper showed up.
“Rhett, I missed you” Karin said and was about to hug him when Sawyer pushed her away.
She landed her bu-tt on the floor. Karin stood up angrily.
“Are you insane?” Karin said with a frown.
She raised her hand to slap Sawyer when Rhett held her hand.
“What do you think you wanna do?” He asked and yanked her hand away.
“Rhett,you still have feelings for her? How can you still have feelings for her despite what she did to you” Piper said.
“If I stopped you guys from hitting her that doesn’t mean I still have feelings for her” He said as he entered the car.
Karin smiled.
“Can you see that his feelings for you have faded away?” Karin said with a smile.
“Karin, I don’t have anything to say to you… Piper, you are my worst enemy, I trusted you but you broke my trust” Sawyer said.
Her tears were on the verge of falling.
“I told you to back off from what is mine but you don’t listen, you can call me any names but I want you to know Rhett is mine and mine forever” Piper said and left with Karin.
Tears streamed down from Sawyer’s face and she immediately wiped it away.
Mr Roy’s Mansion***
“Boss” Mike called as he walked in.
“What is it?” Mr Roy asked and puffed out the smoke of the cigarette.
“Boss, I found out that Rhett and Sawyer had broken up” Mike said.
“You have told me before… what do you think we should do now?” Mr Roy asked,
“This is an opportunity for us to get Rhett, let’s kidnap Piper after kidnapping her we would tell her if she wants Rhett, she should bring Sawyer here” Mike said, having his eyes glued to the floor.
“Bravo, I like that idea… Rhett won’t know we are the one that kidnap Sawyer” Mr Roy said as he clapped.
“Thanks, boss” Mike said.
“Go and kidnap Piper” Mr Roy ordered.
“Okay, boss” Mike said abs left.
