CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Don was angry and stomping his legs on the floor, pacing up and down and shaking his head!
Oh my God
You’re just too small for me to hurt you
So move out of my way!
Tara didn’t bother to act as if someone is talking.
“Can someone plea-se take this girl out of the way” don commanded
“They wouldn’t want to get their bones I guess” Tara said glaring at Don
“What! Take her away” don commanded
Kane stepped back knowing what would happen to those guys, two guys out of don men faced Tara and one of them held her hand and was about to dragged her away.
Tara held his arm back and punch his joint with f0rç£ and the man shouted in pain, he then held his arm crying out loud… The other then hold Tara from the w@!st dragging her out, Tara sumasulted and landed at his back, then she held his head and hit it at the wall, other men then moved back.
All this while don was just staring in bewildered as to how Tara dealt with his men in one swing. Don turned to the men who were on the floor.
“Never un-derestimate your opponent”
“You guys are bad investment!”
The doctors rushed to the scene seeing someone arm broken and the other bleeding, they quic-kly help them up and went to treat them. The head of doctors then face don.
“Sir, what just happened here” doc said
“Maybe you should ask this strong woman here” don said
“Miss Tara! I thought I told you that he didn’t nee-d a disturbance” doc said
“Yeah, that’s why I beat those guys, his father here wants to go in f0rç£fully” Tara said
“Well you should have told me it was the doctor order” don said sighing
“Well you didn’t ask sir” Tara reply p@n-ting
You know I like your fiestiness!
“Enough, I guess we can all go in now” doc said
“Okay” don and Tara said in uniform

Miss Beyonce pov
I don’t know why have been feeling so weak since morning, and constant headache, including night mares and day dreams with blurry vision.
I feel so empty, it’s as if am missing something, I can’t actually place my f!nger on what am missing.
I heard a knock on door , so I get up immediately and it was Mr morris.
“Hi miss Beyonce!” Mr morris said
“Mr morris! How are you” I said ushering him in
“Well am good, just going out to get something…do you mind tagging along” Mr morris said
His such a gentleman and he must have been a loving husband to his late wife, but he never discussed about his wife to anyone.
“Sure, I nee-d to get something’s also” I reply
“Okay, shall we?” Mr morris said
“Oh no, give me a sec to change my clothes” I said rushing in to change my clothes
After changing my clothes, we left in Mr morris car and off we go, I wonder what he wants to buy.

“Hey Tara, have been trying to reach you since morning. What happened” haden said on phone
“Well, Alex had an accident, so am with him at the hospital” Tara said
“What! How come? How did it happen?” haden said in a concerned tone
“It just happened mistakenly but his better now, his talking with his dad inside” Tara replied
“Oh okay. I will inform others and be there soon” haden said
“Alright then, later. Bye” Tara said
“Bye, take care” haden said and hung up
Tara pov
Hmm, Alex wake up some minutes ago and I was releived, it was as if a heavy load has just been lifted off my head.
I was outside since some minutes ago, because I have don and Alex space so that they can talk freely, his father seems to be a caring one, he has just been checking out his son b©dy, I guess Alex doesn’t have a mother or else she would have been the first person here.
I would have to ask him later about his mother, now let me head in because I have to go home early.

“It was an accident father, nothing more” Alex said sitting up
“What do you mean by just an accident, the person didn’t even wait to help you, that’s very bad. He must be punished” don said in a pissed tone
“You don’t have to worry much father, everything is fine” Alex reply
“Wait! Who is that lady outside” don said
“Oh Tara!” Alex exclaimed
“Is that her name, that girl is so fiesty! She wouldn’t let me in even though she knows am your father” don said
“Really? That’s just little of the drama she can displa-y, I will advise you to beware of the strong woman” Alex said in a whisper and don flin-ch
“Like seriously, she over protective as a friend” don said with a sm-irk
“Friend? She’s my girlfriend!” Alex said with a smile
“What! Girlfriend? You have a girlfriend?” Don shouted in surprise
“Of course, do you think I will die single father” Alex said
Tara walked in and bow down to don
“Am sorry about earlier and I should have first told you that it was the doctor order” Tara said bowing down

“I like you being that fiesty! I don’t like the humble Tara” don said shaking his head
“Oh really sir” Tara said with a broad smile
“Sure. But why did you s£nt my son and refer to him as a friend” don reply
Tara was shocked and couldn’t comprehend what don was talking about…
“He said you are his girlfriend!” Don said
“What! Girlfriend!” Tara shouted in shock and looked at Alex
“Yes, isn’t it?” Don said

Tara stared at Alex and was glaring at him, then Alex drew her close to himself and wincked at Tara who was giving him a threat glare…
Haden and others c@m£ inside the room at the same time and they greeted don, and was looking at Alex and Tara the way they were close to each other.
“Father! Tara must’ve been shy that’s why she couldn’t tell you that she’s my girlfriend” Alex and smiling happily
Haden, Jerry and Lora were shocked and surprised at Alex action because he alre-ady seem different from the Alex they knew…
“Have never seen him so Happy and free since he lost his mother” Lora said in a sad tone
“But Tara didn’t seem to be the shy type. Can you plea-se say something miss Tara” don said facing Tara
“Uhn urrm itts it’s the truth” Tara said
“That what?” Don questioned
“Am his girlfriend and am sometimes shy” Tara said blu-shing
“Oh now believe since it’s coming directly out of your mouth” don said
“Am sorry I didn’t give you the normal greetings as my b©yfri£ndfather” Tara said pla-ying with her f!nger
“Oh no, it’s okay as long as his happy with you and besides you should refer to me as your father-in-law” don said smiling
“Father in law?” Tara and Alex exclaimed
“Yes, Alex dare not, but he has so much courage while talking about you and he was happy and free. Definitely this is real” don said patting Tara by the shoulder
“Oh!” Tara said t©uçhed by don words
Could it be really real that Alex loves me
I think I have that kind of feelings whenever we’re together too.
Oh why? Am I in love with Alex
“Tara, I will invite you next time to come have dinner with my family” don said standing up
“Sure, I would love to meet your family” Tara said
“Alright, take care of yourself. Bye” don reply and left
As soon as don left, Tara turn back to Alex who alre-ady l@yback on the be-d and telling doctor that he nee-ds to rest and that he didn’t want any visitors so as to avoid Tara war.
The doctors then told the G4 and Tara to leave that the patient would want to rest.
Alex pov
Like seriously, Tara looks is really going to kill me if I didn’t tell the to s£nd them away, am sure by now Tara would have beaten the hell of me and am not yet strong for that….
At least we’ve heading somewhere, there’s no choice, she can’t deny me anymore because I know she feels exactly how I feel. I hope she doesn’t try to hide her feeling anymore.
Now Tara is my girlfriend, I haven’t really d@t£d anyone, so I don’t know how to act now and things to do.
I quic-kly brou-ght out my phone and type “how to make your girlfriend love you more”. Wow so many answers to re-ad, where should I start from.

“Tara!” Haden called out in his car
“Yessss haden, you’ve been just calling out my name, are you okay” Tara said
“Hmm I know and there’s something bordering my mind” haden said while driving
“What’s that? Tell me” Tara said
“What’s between you and Alex” haden asked
“Why did you ask?” Tara said coughing
“Just answer me first Tara” haden said pitifully
“Uhn there’s nothing, his just talking trash earlier” Tara said coughing
“Are you sure?” Haden said
“Of course, but why did you ask” Tara said
“Nothing! Just curious” haden said smiling and he hold Tara hands with his right hand while driving with the left one
Tara looked at how haden held her hand happily but she didn’t re-ad any meaning to it and she just smiled back.

“Are you okay miss Beyonce? ” Mr morris asked
“No I don’t, I think am fine , it’s okay” miss Beyonce who was holding a chocolate said and dropped the chocolate
“Maybe we should just head home, I think today’s shopping is enough” Mr Morris said parking all the things they bought into the car while miss Beyonce followed along weakly
Mr morris drove home and on the way miss Beyonce seems to have calm down and was a bit relaxed now
Mr morris got home and met Tara who helped them with their groceries package and happily started cooking with it…
Mr morris and miss Beyonce were just staring at Tara in astonishment and wondering what really happened to her today because she seems lively and happy even blu-shing while cooking as if she’s remembering something.
“Are you okay Tara” Mr morris asked
“Am okay dad” Tara said with a smile
“Seems something good happen” miss Tara said tea-singly
“Oh no miss Beyonce, you guys shouldn’t pay me any attention. Food would soon be re-ady” Tara said and concentrated on the food she’s cooking.

“What do you mean by that, zoom in” Kane told the security agent who was checking the CCTV of the area that Alex accident took place
“Am sorry sir, it’s just that it will become more blurry if I keep zooming” the security agent reply
“So you guys don’t have good facilities here, that’s how people go scot free without getting punished” Kane shouted
“Am so sorry sir” the security agent reply shaking
“Copy the video and images, everything to a disc and give it to me now” Kane ordered
“Yes sir” the man reply
After few minutes Kane got the disc and headed towards don house. Upon getting there don was meditating so he waited and after don was throu-gh with his meditation he c@m£ out and which Kane greeted him.
“So how far have you gotten” don said sitting down
“I have gotten the CCTV footage, so we can watch it here now” Kane said
“Oh that’s good, dagger !” Don said
“Yes boss” dagger reply walking closer to don
“Take the disc and pl@yit” don commanded
“Yes boss” dagger reply and took the disc from Kane and went ahead to pl@yit..
Everyone was watching how the car hit Alex and how he roll over and fell down lifeless on the floor, don was t©uçhed by it and was clenching his fists.
“plea-se can someone zoom in” don said angrily
“Yes sir” dagger reply and started operating on the screen till it become clearer
Suddenly don said (pause) and ( zoom in). They did as they were told and don shouted
“What! Isn’t Lucas?” Don said standing up in anger
“Yes, that’s him, we couldn’t find him in his ap@rtment the last time we went in search of him” dagger reply
“He’s so dead this time around, find him!” Don commanded
