Alec was in the bathroom, getting himself drenched under the shower.
He didn’t stop himself from crying cos he knew everything was slowly coming to an end for him.
When he remembers the fact that he killed Poppy’s dad unintentionally, he would feel himself shattering to pieces.
He wondered how his little orange would react when she finds out the truth herself.
He wished he could really hide the truth from her and continue to love her forever, even in his next life.
He sniffed very ha-rd and rested his head on the wall tiles crying like a kid. His nose had gotten red from crying so much.
” ‘Knock!. Knock!’ Why are you delaying. There’s a queue here!!” Someone yelled from the outside.
He sighed and quickly turned off the tap before pulling his brown woolen robe on himself.
He got out of the bathroom and met his friends playing chess in a large circle.
” Hey Alec. Would you like to join in?” Axel asked.
” No” He said, staring at him with a loner eyes.
Axel could see sadness in the pit of his eyes and wanted to ask if he’s okay but he was not eager to leave the game yet.
Alec walked up to his bed and wore his nightie before laying back on the bed.
He began to practice genuine excuse in his mind to tell poppy when she ask about her dad.
He picked up his phone and stared at her pic he saved on his mobile, hoping that would cheer his mood.
” Alec!” He suddenly heard her voice and he quickly left the bed, going outside.
” Poppy?” He was shocked to find her in the boy’s quater. She quickly leaped forward.
” I’m so sorry for coming. I just wanted to see you so badly” She pouted cutely and Alec smiled.
He couldn’t think of anything else than to ki-ss her at that moment.
He held her wa-istclose, slamming his warm li-ps on her hungrily.
Poppy wasn’t expecting the ki-ss so she was left in awe as he ki-ssed her with so many emotions.
She closed her eyes and responded to his ki-ss sweetly, pulling him by his shirt slowly.
She realised that anytime they ki-ssed, it felt new and different to her.
They were ki-ssing out of true love and affection and Alec pulled her legs around his waist, placing her on a close table.
He ki-ssed her de-eply and didn’t want to let her go. The ki-ss got hotter when Alec found himself holding her b**bs.
Poppy quickly broke the ki-ss and stared at him.
” Alec__
” Shh. Let’s enjoy this moment while it last” He said while staring at her eyes de-eply before he pulled her close, ki-ssing her again.
They ki-ssed for what seemed like forever and when Alec broke the ki-ss, they had lost their breath.
Poppy heaved heavily and stared at him.
” Alec. I’m not sure if everything is okay with me anymore” She said.
” What happened?”
” Kookie’s word keeps hunting me, Alec. I know you’re not behind my dad’s death but I’ve been feeling so insecure.” She said.
Alec had to swallow ha-rd for a moment before cupping her cheeks, rubbing her tenderness.
” Don’t let what someone else say bother you, orange. He’s only saying that to confuse you from me” He said and Poppy hug-ged his neck.
” I love you so much Alec. You are a sweet soul and I trust you more than myself. I know you would never hurt an ant even” She said.
Alec hug-ged her back slowly but the guilt conscience won’t let him stay calm.
” Poppy.” He looked at her.
” Mn?”
” Do you… really love your dad?” He asked and Poppy eye’s immediately glitched with tears.
” Yes. I love him more than I loved my mom” She sniffed ha-rd and started crying.
” After he died, we became so poor and my mom suffered a lot trying out new jobs every week. I had to quit school for a year just to meet ends meet. Everything was difficult after his absence. I still love him but I hate that he died suddenly. I hate whoever made us this way” She said and Alec cleaned her tears with his thumb.
” I’m sorry orange” He gulped and smooched her li-ps. He didn’t even have the courage to tell her about his past life again.
He knew if he did, he would hurt her twice than this and that would completely end their friendship.
She hug-ged him again and rested her head on his chest.
Soon, kookie came out of the shadows and leaned on the tree, looking like a hot devil ready to sulk revenge.
” Alec. Admit it. Admit that you killed him and stop fooling the little girl’s emotion” Kookie said and Alec stared at him.
” What the hell brou-ght you here?!” He yelled and Kookie smirked.
” Nothing is hidden under the heaven, Alec. She should know everything now or you hurt her more and more” He said and Poppy looked at Alec.
” Alec?” She asked
Alec pinched his brows as he tried as much as possible to stop the tears in his eyes from falling on his cheek.
He knew he would someday tell her the truth.
” Alec?” She held him.
” Whatever kookie said, he is not wrong” He said and Poppy’s heart skipped a bit causing her heart to beat wildly in her chest.
” Huh?. W..what do you mean he is not wrong?” She asked.
Alec raised his gaze and stared at her.
” I don’t want to hurt you. But I also need to tell you the truth cos I had a very terrible past life as a criminal and I killed your dad, but it was unintentional” He said.
Poppy gasped and her eyes glitched with tears.
” You killed my dad?” She gasped and Alec saw it coming, the tears had filled up her eye lid.
He couldn’t believe he was making her cry. He couldn’t even watch her.
It came dropping down her cheeks one by one and soon, they came down in ripples.
” No, It’s not true. No, Alec. Tell me its not true” She said and Alec fell his head sadly.
” I’m sorry.” He apologised.
Poppy climbed down the table and faced him.
” The fact that you hid it from me makes me ‘hate’ you more. I hate you, I hate your family. You all are wicked people!” She sobbed.
” Poppy. I can explain!. it’s not what you think.”
” What should I expect from a criminal like you. I thought you were everything i could ask for. I loved you, more than myself, Alec. I did everything to make you happy. Life is cruel but you’re more cruel” She said inbetween tears.
Alec didn’t have much to say cos he didn’t know where to start from in explaining himself.
He knew he had to take it slowly with her so she doesn’t get more upset.
” There isn’t much to say cos I don’t love you anymore, you can go love yourself. You’ve shattered me, Just go to hell” She said and walked away in tears.
” Poppy wait!” Alec quickly caught her wrist but she punched him ha-rd on his wound spot.
” Ou!” Alec almost broke down.
” Stay away from me, Criminal!!” She yelled and ran away quickly.
Alec gasped when she called him ‘criminal’
He didn’t even get hurt by the way she had hit him hard, but that single word she made got him heartbroken.
He remembered when she said she would never call him a criminal, but here she was, saying it on his face.
He turned around and stared at kookie.
” How did you know all of this?” He asked.
” What do I not know about you, Alec. Anyways, Just so you know, I’m here for poppy.” He smirked and walked into the tent lamely.
***
MORNING ***
Alec walked outside and the first thing he could think of was Poppy.
He met few of her friends and went up to them.
” Where is Poppy?” He asked Vera.
” Oh, that crybaby as been indoors since daybreak. She needs b**bs to sulk in order to be okay.” Vera said and her friends laughed.
He sighed, they weren’t his problems but Poppy. He went over to miss cherry.
” Good morning miss cherry. I wanted to ask for permission to go into the girls tent” He said.
” Why?”
” I need to go talk to poppy”
” Did anything happen between the two of you?” She asked.
” Not yet” He said and she gave him permission to go see her.
He walked into the tent and stared around for a while. Their tent was large and big, almost the size of their mansion.
He looked over to the nearest bed and met poppy asleep. He sat next to her and saw she was hugging his toothbrush.
He was awe at first but he stared at the lane of tears on her cheeks. She must have cried bitterly all throu-ghthe night.
” Poppy” He took the hair covering her face to a side near her ear.
She slowly blinked her eyes twice and sat up.
” Who allowed you in here!!” She glared at him.
” Um…I.. I asked for permission to meet you. Just wanted to say a few things” He said.
” I don’t want to hear anything from you. If there’s any last word I should tell you is for you to die and get out of my life!” She said.
” I know. Of course I’m gonna die. Sooner.” He said and Poppy stared at him blankly.
” And that’s why I want to say this few things before that time comes”
” I am not forgiving you if that’s what you came to ask, Alec. I am not also going to forget this day. I can’t believe it’s still you” She started to sob hardly and Alec stood up.
” I hate watching you cry like this. I’m sorry for hurting your feelings orange, I’m very sorry” He said and started walking away.
” Let’s end it” She said and Alec turned to look at her.
” Really?” He gasped hurtfully.
” I don’t want to be your girlfriend or even your friend, it’s over between us, Alec. It’s over. Forever, and I mean it.” She said, avoiding his eyes.
Alec didn’t know how to feel anymore as he stared at her. He felt….out of words.
” Okay” He smiled hurtfully before walking out of the tent.

XYLAN’S MANSION
Lisa knocked on the door to xylan’s room before walking in slowly.
She met him resting his head on the headboard of the bed, staring at her.
” Xylan. You are asleep?” She asked.
” What happened to your room?” He asked.
” I need to talk to you about something” She whispered and xylan closed his eyes, silently telling her to come over.
She sat next to him and sighed hardly.
” Um..C..can I talk now?” She asked.
” Say what you have to say please” He said and she sulked her dry li-ps.
” I don’t want to get you upset but I just want to ask you a question. Um…Do you love me?” She asked and xylan looked at her.
” What sort of question is that?”
She scratched her head and stared at her fingers.
” Well, I’m not happy with the way you treat me that why I asked. If you don’t love me anymore, then, maybe I should go” She said and xylan glared at her.
” Go to where?. Oh, you wanna leave again?. You can leave. I’m not holding you from going away” He said.
” Okay. I’ll leave here tomorrow morning. I’ll go back to my mom and sister. I’m sure she must be worried about me that I left home” She said and stood up.
” Lisa” He called and she smiled victoriously, thinking he had changed his mind.
” Yes, husband” She faced him.
” Don’t come back here if you really like yourself. Stay with your mom and the rest of your family” He said strictly and she frowned.
She went back and sat on the bed, palming his hands.
” I’m sorry, baby. look, I’m really sorry for leaving home the other time. I didn’t plan on making you upset, I just wanted you to see my importance that why I left. please don’t be upset with me” She said, pouting cutely.
Xylan looked at her and sat up.
” Sometimes you are cute and womanly, other times, you annoy me so much. What should I do with you” He said and Craig walked in, catching them together.
” Dad. What is she doing here!” He yelled.
” Cool down, Craig. Respect her, she’s your mom” He said.
” Don’t tell me you’re falling for her. What about miss cherry!” He said.
” I don’t think miss cherry wants us anymore. She hasn’t responded since she left. Your mom feels sorry. Let just return back as a family” He said.
Craig eyes we-t up with tears and he cleaned them.
” I want miss cherry back, dad. I don’t want Lisa!” He cried and ran out of the room.
Xylan stared at his wife pitifully.
” If you had been a good mom, he wouldn’t dare reject you” He said and turned on the bed to sleep.
She sighed and left the room afterwards.
****
CAMPSITE LIBRARY ***
The whole student were ordered to go read at the camp library.
Poppy kept fli-pping her books from page to page just to keep her mind busy from crying.
She didn’t know why her tear gland couldn’t stop functioning so much.
Maybe it was cos she left Alec or cos he killed her dad, or even both.
Alec walked into the cla-ss. He was wearing a blue shirt and his cap was fli-pped backwards.
She peeked at him and didn’t bother to spare him a glance.
He sighed and sat opposite her before opening up his books.
” Poppy. This is yours. I saw it in my room” He said handling her the love boat drawing.
” Ion need it” She said without even glancing at the stuff he was giving to her.
” I won’t throw it away” He said and placed the drawing at the front page cover of his textbook and Poppy stared at him blankly.
” Hey Poppy ” Kookie walked in and she stared at him.
” What do you want?” She asked.
” I just came to read” He said and shared a sit with her before fli-pping his books open. ” What kinds of books do you like reading?”
” I don’t like reading any types of books” She said and Kookie chuckled.
” I’m actually a book addict. Maybe I can teach you how to read”
” I hate learning” She rolled her eyes.
” Hey. I know you’re upset with that jerk beside us. You should forget about him or you’ll make yourself a mess” He said and Poppy turned to look at Alec.
As if he knew her eyes were boring holes on his face, he started back at her. She could see jealousy and hatred in his eyes.
She pouted her li-ps stubbornly.
” I hate him so much now” She told kookie.
” Who wouldn’t hate the person that killed his girlfriend’s dad. That’s so toxic” He shaked his heads.
” I wish I can take it off my mind but I can’t. I’ve tried so hard” She said.
” Would you like to stroll around the camp?. Maybe that might clear your mind”
” Sure. Let’s go now” She smiled excitedly and they both left their books, walking out.
Alec bit his li-p hardly and placed his head on his books as if the worst has happened to him.
***
BOYS TENT, EVENING**
Alec walked into the tent and couldn’t control the pain he was feeling.
His sickness had struck his heart and he realised it was affecting every part of his organ slowly.
He held his chest painfully as tears filled the corner of his eye.
He stared at the clock and saw that the boys would be in anytime soon.
” There are still more pain to receive in the future, more heartbreaks. So why not end it now. Everyone left me, including poppy.” He said sniffed hardly.
” I don’t feel like I’m alive anymore. I feel like I’m caged in my past and now it’s hunting me badly. How I wish they all hear me out” He said as tears streamed down his eyes.
He held himself together and sat down breathing hardly.
He sent a text to his parent and dropped a note on his bed that contained only two words.
There was a knife on the bed. He took it up and cleaned the sharp edges.
Without having a second thought of his life, He stabbed his stomach hardly.
Again,
Again and Again until the bloody knife fell from his hands.
