Axel was pulling Poppy hardly by her wrist and Poppy was getting scared.
She didn’t know why this kid behaved like a madman, maybe that’s why Alec told her to stay away from him.
Soon, he rou-ghly pulled her into the kitchen and made her rest her back on one of the cabinet.
” Axel..” Mr blue suddenly called and he halted, staring up at his parent who were already sitting at the table.
” Axel. What are you trying to do?” Mrs blue asked and he lamely left Poppy, scratching his head as he approached them.
” Fuc-k. I shouldn’t have brou-ght her down here.” He cursed silently and approached the table.
” What are we having for dinner?” He asked without responding to his mom’s questions.
” Your favourite mac and cheese, hunny” Mrs blue smiled, pecking his forehead softly.
” Ewwww. Gross. I’ve told you mom, I’m not a baby. I’m eighteen soon. Stop pecking me,ugh” Axel said rolling his eyes.
Poppy joined her mom in placing the meal on their table.
” Poppy. Are you done with the chores I told you to do upstairs?” Mrs blue asked.
” Huh?. Chores?” She blinked. She just remembered that she hadn’t finish with the mopping of the entire corridor.
Alec walked in at that moment and he joined his family at the table without glancing at Axel.
He seemed to be upset over the issue they had a minute ago.
” Um…the chores?. I’m not…I…” Poppy stuttered fidgeting with her thumbs.
” Master Yang. Please go visualise her chores and tell me if she’s done.” Mrs blue said and master Yang left the kitchen.
Mrs chen dragged Poppy to a corner in the kitchen and she held her daughter’s shoulder.
” Did you finish doing your chores before coming down here?” Mrs chen asked.
” I was about to, but the boys didn’t let me. They kept fighting over the mop” Poppy whispered.
” What?. Why are you always moving along with this billionaire’s sons. Don’t you know they are big issues on their own?” Mrs chen whispered.
” I’m sorry. Please stay with me. I don’t want the Mistress to increase my punishment, please” Poppy begged as tears fell slowly on her cheeks.
Her mom stared at her and a rou-ghsigh escaped her nose.
” Let’s just hope that she wouldn’t skin you alive.” She said.
Alec was staring at them and then he looked over to the house master who was just walking in.
” The chores are done. Even the stairs are clean.” Master yang said and Poppy looked at him shocked.
” Really?” Mrs blue asked.
” Yes. She finished her chores, mistress.” He bowed halfway.
Mrs chen looked at Poppy and made a questioning look.
” But you said you didn’t__”
” Yeah. I knew I didn’t finish the chores. The mop was left with Alec and__” She stopped taking a few breath as she stared at Alec.
‘ Could he have helped me?’ She thought inwardly.
Mrs chen breathed a relief and finally took off her apron.
” Let’s go rest for the day.” She said and started to leave the kitchen and Poppy followed her quickly.
” Come have dinner with us.” Mr blue said and the two ladies faced them.
” We should come have dinner with you?” Mrs chen asked unbelievably.
” They should have dinner with us?” Mrs blue asked in a daze.
” Yes. Have a seat.” Mr blue said and Poppy looked at her mom questioningly.
” Darling. Why would you let the maids eat with us?. That’s not sensible at all.” Mrs blue said, rubbing his arm.
” This is my house and those are the maids I employed. You don’t tell me what to do in my home.” He snapped and Mrs blue looked away in disgust.
Mrs chen approached the table and sat down next to Axel and Poppy sat next to Alec.
She used her feet to kick him playfully under the table.
” Thanks for helping me with my chores. You’re an angel in disguise” She giggled silently.
” You should Rather eat now.” He said and she started to fill her mouth with food quickly.
Mrs blue never gave them healthy foods but leftovers.
Perhaps, this was the first time since three days that they would eat something good.
The room was silent for a while until Axel hands began to crawl towards Poppy.
Her eyes went round and she wanted to speak.
” Shh.” He winked and interlocked their fingers together like a couple.
Poppy swallowed and looked at Alec. He didn’t notice what was going on at all.
She continued to eat.
” Poppy. I heard you wanted to resume back on school?” Mr blue said and she looked up, mouth still full.
” Mn.” She nodded. She wondered how the news got to him.
” The scholarship exam is ending this friday and I want you to take that exam regardless of being illegitimate here.” He said and a very wide smile was on her adorable cheeks.
” Really??.Oh my God!. Thank you so much!. Thank you. I’m short of words. I’m so excited!!” Poppy screamed with so much excitement in her tiny voice.
She’s finally going to go to her dream highschool and even get to school with the twins.
” Thank you so much, Mr blue.” Mrs chen said as her eyes started to we-t up slowly.
On the other hand, Mrs blue drank up her glas-sof water before standing on her feet.
She walked out of the kitchen without saying any word to them.
Mr blue sighed and turned to poppy
” Practice well before the exam. MINIONS high-school don’t take dullards” He said.
” Yes Mr blue. I’ll try my absolute best!” She said excitedly.
Alec suddenly sighted their interlock and he glared at Axel.
He suddenly picked Poppy up, leading her out of the kitchen and Axel stood up as well.
” Wait Axel. I need to talk to you about your grades. Please sit” Mr blue said and Axel sat back, grumbling.

THREE HOURS LATER***
Alec and Poppy were outside the mansion. It was already late and there was much breeze outside.
He wore his black mask and turned to poppy.
” Wear this as well.” He said fixing an headwarmer on her head.
” Ouch!. Why do I need to wear all this?” She asked.
” For safety reasons”
” Safety?. You mean safety men would be out tonight?” She asked and Alec looked down at her eyes.
” Do you go throu-ghyour words in your head before speaking them out?” He asked.
” No?” She shaked her heads and Alec patted her head gently.
” Next time, do just that.” He said and started to approach his car.
” Why are we leaving the mansion anyways?” Poppy asked as she followed him.
” I’m taking you to my library to read for your exams. Ion need Axel disturbance cos he’s a dullard magnet himself.” He said and Poppy giggled.
” So you own a library?” She asked.
” Yes. And more” He said and her eyes went amused.
He got into his car and she followed him in. She bit her li-ps cutely staring at him.
” So..Um..Are you the one who told your dad that I wanted to go back to school?.”
” Let’s not talk about that” He said and she smiled, lowering her face.
” I hope you can cope reading at night?” He asked this time.
” Yes. I really enjoy reading at night.” She said and he started to drive out of the compound smoothly.
They remained in silence for some minutes and Poppy was getting uncomfortable.
She couldn’t do without talking for a second. Her body would get sweaty and hot if she didn’t move her li-ps.
” Why do you like wearing mask?” She began with her nags again.
” For safety, poppy. I don’t show my identity”
” Wait. People are after you?” She asked, widening her eyes.
” That explains my de-ep wound” He said and she got even more curious as her white eyes got rounder.
” Really?. So you mean, You were gun shot or stabbed?. Were you really gun shot or stabbed?. Was that the thing that caused the injury” She asked.
” Long story, orange.” He said and pulled a lolli-pop into her small pink mouth hole. ” Use that to keep your mouth machine on hold” He said.
She smiled and rested back on the sofa, lic-king her lolli-pop.
” Thanks for everything, Alec. You’re my best friend ever” She smiled and Alec simply stared at her unfazed.
She wondered why he never smiled.

XYLAN’S HOME
Xylan tried breaking the lock but it was impossible.
The door knobs were made from pure metallic gold and the key was left in the lock outside.
” I think we’re gonna be stuck here till day break.” Xylan said walking back to the bed to meet cherry.
” You think so?” She asked looking at him in the eyes.
” The knob is just impossible to break and the maids can’t open it without the key.” He said tiredly.
” I thought Craig was supposed to be with the key” She said.
” He said he can’t find it.” He said.
” Geez. That kid is something else. He is gonna face a hell from us tomorrow by the time the key is found.” Cherry spat
” Of course he is in de-ep shit. I just hope he hasn’t left the mansion cos I haven’t heard from him.” He said.
Cherry phone rang and she saw it was Melissa. She quickly cut the call.
” Why have you been avoiding a call?” Xylan asked.
” It’s one of my new housemate at my apartment. I’m sure she’s getting worried about me now” She said.
Her phone rang again but she picked it up and sent her a text instead.
* I JUST GOT STUCK IN A ROOM WITH MY BOSS*
* OMG. REALLY?. HOW DID IT HAPPEN!*
* YEAH. HIS SILLY KID AGAIN. HE LOST THE KEY AS WELL.*
Melissa sent a laughing emoji and Cherry rolled her eyes.
* IT’S NOT FUNNY, JERK!*
* LOVE ABOUT TO HAPPEN IN THAT ROOM. CALL ME WHEN YOU GUYS FINALLY ki-ssED*
* YOU SHOULDN’T BE KIDDING ME!*

Cherry scoffed and dropped her phone.
” It seems I’ll be spending the night here.” She said sadly and Xylan faced her, holding her hand.
” Look. I’m really sorry for all this mess that we got into today.” He said.
” Don’t worry. It’s a good thing we’re being locked together like this. it should happen often” She smiled, interlocking his hands.
” Huh?” He raised his brows.
” I..I..i mean, I hope we get out of here soon.” She stuttered, slapping her face.
Xylan sat up and raked his fingers into his hair slowly.
” My son has been a bunch of trouble ever since his mom left and Melissa never tried calling us”
” Melissa?” She gasped.
” Yeah. That’s the name of my ex wife.” He said.
” Oh my God!” She palmed her li-ps in disbelief, shifting back.
” Did I say something wrong?” He asked carefully but she kept staring at him in disbelief.
” Me_li_ssa!!” She gasped, almost fainting.

OCEANA’S HOME.
Oceana is on her bed, laying flat and staring at the roof.
She couldn’t stop thinking of the day she had her first se-x with Axel.
She couldn’t stop storing the view in her head and it gave her reason to be depressed.
” The contraceptive isn’t working on me. I thought Axel said it would stop me from getting pregnant.” She said sighing.
She picked up her phone and bit her li-ps, thinking of what to text to him.
She decided to start from a simple text, knowing he would later snub her.
* HEY DUDE*
She waited for some minutes and luckily he answered.
* HEY*
* THE PT IS STILL SHOWING POSITIVE. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?*
She placed her phone on her chest and waited for another minute that looked like forever.
* THROW THE PT AWAY. IT’S FAKE!* He replied.
* WHAT!. HOW?*
She waited again but he didn’t reply her back.
” Good. I knew he wouldn’t say anything after that” She said and went straight to the search engine.
* HOW TO WICKEDLY HUMILIATE MY FRIEND AT SCHOOL TOMORROW?*
it gave her list of alternative pranks to play on Axel but none of them went along with her initiative.
” I’ll just deal with him with my own action” She said and dragged up her blanket to finally sleep.

LIBRARY ***
Poppy picked her pen and stared at it in awe. Its been long since she wrote with a pen and the feeling of holding it was exciting.
Alec came back with a gigantic examination quorate books.
” You’ll need this” He said and she sat up in disbelief.
” I thought it was just an exam not a military report.” She said and Alec’s chuckled, sitting next to her.
” Don’t be silly. We haven’t started yet and you’re complaining already. That’s bad, orange.”
” Hey. Why are you calling me orange?” She asked, resting on her cheeks
He looked at her and dragged her chubby cheeks.
” Cos your cheeks are as round as an orange ball” He said and she pouted her li-ps cutely.
He opened the textbook and started fli-pping from page to page, reading each limes out.
When he looked up, poppy was already fast asleep on the desk.
” Poppy?”
” My lolli-pop.” She mumbled in her sleep.
” I thought you said you can cope reading at night?. Wake up!” He said and she sat up already drooling.
He slapped his forehead, pinching his eyelids hardly.
” God. This is gonna be hard.” He said.
He made her stand on her feet.
” This is how we are going to read today, by standing.” He said.
” What?. No, this is punishment!. Let’s return home I’ll read tomorrow” She started to sob like a toddler.
Alec held her shoulders.
” Look. I really want you to go back to school cos you really need school as much as I do. That’s why I’m giving out all my time to help you pas-syour exam. So please, do it for me and focus okay?”
” But it’s late” She pouted.
” That’s the only way it sticks to your tiny skull.” He said and she breathed a sigh
Soon, they had a loud bang from the outside causing the candles to go off immediately.
Alec stared around and Poppy ran to hold his body quickly.
” Let’s run out of here. This place is hunted. Let’s run before they get us!” She said as her heart raced fast.
The sound came again, more louder. Alec knew they were here again. He cursed himself silently.
” Come with me, quickly” He dragged her under the table and they hid there together.
” What’s happ__”
” Shh” He palmed her li-ps quickly, staring at her Hazel constellation eyes.
” Just be calm” He said hotly.
Poppy fiddled with her dress as her heart beat hit against her chest madly.
She didn’t know what was happening and she cursed herself for leaving the mansion.
The door of the library got kicked open and Poppy hug-ged Alec’s face tight to his neck crook.
His phone began to ring revealing their silence. He quickly picked his phone and saw it was his mom. He cut the call quickly.
” Where’s he?. I saw him drive here?” A woman’s voice said. She had a tough, well mannered voice.
” Search everywhere. He couldn’t have gone far or disappeared.” A man conjoined.
” I’m scared__” Poppy tried to talk but Alec buried her face on his neck, hugging her tight.
” I promise that we’ll leave here immediately they’re gone.” He whispered and she nodded her head fearfully.
” What if they find us?. Will they kill us?. Please Alec don’t let them kill us. We’re still young!” She cried.
” They won’t find us. Just__Shhhhh” He said and Poppy remained still under him.
” Officer. The back door was open. I think he escaped from there.” The woman said.
” Follow them quickly!” He said and they both left the library immediately.
When the coast was calm and clear, Alec slowly got out from under the table and he pulled Poppy out as well.
They had started to sweat heavily.
” Let’s go home. Climb my back.” Alec squ-atted.
” Huh?!” Her eyes wide-ned.
” Do it Quickly. Before they come.” He said.
” Anything you say” She agreed as her cheeks burned red.
She climbed his backs and a torch was suddenly pointed at them.
Alec remained stiff instantly and Poppy buried her face on his neck.
” Hey stop there, criminal!”
