I kept smiling inwardly from the memories of last night, it was truly a long night. I blushed hard that I had to face the car’s window pretending like I cared about the view outside.
“I won’t be getting on the plane with you, Tris muttered and I turned swiftly to him.
“Huh?, Why?, What’s wrong?, I asked all in a rush.
“Nothing, he chuckled holding my hand.
“Then why aren’t you going home with me?, I asked again using my eyes to search for answers.
“I have to go back home, there something I must do, he replied sincerely.
“Home?, I asked cluelessly and he nodded. This is how it was the last time, going home to settle things. Dreadful thoughts clouded my mind, of loosing him too.
“I will be back okay, he held my face to his and smiled shortly.
“Promise?, I asked with a broken voice and he nodded pulling me close for a hug.
At this moment I want nothing more than stopping the car from heading to the airport, so I could go with him. I want to keep thinking that I would never be replaced by his side, not to become another option.
★Vivian’s POV★
Though it seemed normal but to me it felt absurd, sitting on the same table with sisters that has always hated me. If I had known mum had this up her sleeve, I won’t have agreed to come.
“Vv dear won’t you care to tell how you have been?, Mum said with a victorious smile, must be her happiest day having us sit together.
“I… I’ve, I stuttered with my head bent. I wanted to say something, at least anything but my throat felt very heavy.
“You don’t expect someone filled with guilt to say anything, Tessy snapped.
“Mum, I might love and respect you but that doesn’t mean I got no boundaries, you really crossed the line by making me sit here with this murderer, Scarlet spoke angrily.
“Don’t you ever dare to call her that again, mum responded folding her fists tight.
“I knew you would come to take sides, Tessy scoffed.
“Mum, ple… please if you don’t mind I will like to take my leave now, I muttered getting up with hurtful tears flowing down my cheeks.
“What great choice you made, Scarlet and Tessy smirked folding their arms.
“Shut up, mum shouted loudly. “You sit back right there Vivian, don’t you think of taking a step out here till am done with you girls, she ordered with deadly looks and I sat back reluctantly.
“How long do you girls plan to keep up with this?, She asked.
“Maybe till dad comes back, Scarlet said in tears. “Maybe if he was still here, I would have it all go.
“Scarlett…, Tessy called holding her hand trying to control her own tears too.
Guilt ate me up seeing them in such state, they must have really loved dad so much. Mum look too devastated to talk anymore, she just bent her head. I let my uncontrollable tears slip down, letting the pains pierce through my heart.
“Am sorry, am really I caused you all such pain, I said with a face drenched of tears.
“You’re not to be blamed for anything, that was how things turned out and none of it was your fault, mum consoled touching me.
“Do you think your dad would happy see his beautiful angels fight their baby sis?, She asked staring at us and Scarlett shook her head in tears.
“I know you missed him, we all do. You all know I love you more anything in the world, so please I beg of you, forget the past and focus on a peaceful happy future.
“Mum am sorry, Tessy said sniffing.
“We are sorry for everything, we really are, Scarlett pleaded to getting up.
Before I could I get a clue of what’s happening, she came to me.
“Please forgive me Vv, I don’t hate you. Am very sorry for every pain we caused you, she said and I became stunned to say a word as she hugged me.
“Forgive me too baby, Tessy muttered as she also came to hug me. We cried like we just discovered we were real sisters, it felt like a dream, one I wish not to wake from.
“We promise to love and care for you from now on our baby Vv, Scarlett said smiling as she held my cheeks.
“Of course we would, Tessy winked and I chuckled.
“Stop making me wish for a sister, mum said with a funny look and we laughed.
“Feels so good to have big sisters that loves me, I love you guys too, I smiled cheerfully.
“Feels good to also have a baby sis to pick on, Tessy replied with a grin.
“And it’s feels so good to have my family back, mum smiled and hugged us after a peck.
★Cassie’s POV★
“You girls were mind blowing, the director said with a smile as we ended our shoots.
“Thanks, we responded chorusly with a short smile.
“We’ll fill you in on your schedule for next week’s, he said and we nodded then head to the changing room.
“You were great, J said to me with a bright smile.
“You too, I smiled back.
“It’s good to have my greatest rival back, the battle wasn’t fun without you, she added stretching her hand for a handshake and I accepted it.
“Looking forward to working with you, she added.
“But that doesn’t keep the fire coming, I smirked while she chuckled.
“Would seem absurd if you don’t, the bossy Cassie rolls better, she winked before leaving and I chuckled.
★Tristan’s POV★
“Are all these files from the investigation of the incident?, I asked my private detective opening the files.
“Yes sir, they are files with records from that very day, he replied.
I checked the picture of the person who’s record am seeing, and some things started falling into places in my head.
“This is the man’s brother right?, I asked checking the brother’s ID.
“Yes, he has been known as an official wanted criminal, he’s a deadly law breaker who has done lots of dirty works, he explained. “He was the one who drive the car that day, he added and I raised my head up.
“I met with his brother and he told me about his whereabouts after the incident. He ran away from home having the cops on his neck, but it was discovered later he committed suicide by drowning himself.
“He actually wanted to die with the truth, I sighed out.
“But he did a bad job at that, my detective said.
“What do you mean by that?, I asked with a confused look.
“I recovered his phone from the police who investigated the case years ago, it was left in the car which he used in causing the accident. I went through everything on the phone and his last calls that very day, and you won’t believe who was behind all this.
“Who was it?, I asked swallowing hard to finally know who has been behind all these.
“Your uncle, Mr Norman Fred, he responded and the files fell from my hand.
