Deborah looked at her mother from the gl@$$ in between. She bit herl-ip ha-rd and gave her a cold look
“What are you doing here?” Deborah asked coldly. Mrs Joseph wiped her tears that managed to escape from her eyes. She had a weak and depressing look.
“I brou-ght you warm rice. I know the rice they offer you here are stony. So, just eat the one I bought for–
“Mum? Did you come here to see a pathetic look on my face?”
“Wh… What?”
“You’re wrong. I am still okay–
“No!!…Mrs Joseph voice trailed off.
“I know you didn’t do it. I know you, Deborah. You would never do such”
“Huh? Ha Ha! What do you possibly know about me? I, being a harlot? Or a club str-ipper?”
“What?”
…..You’re Lying!”
“Mum–She paused and gave a smile.
….Remember? My vigils? My choir practice? My church meetings? There were all a lie. Club was my thing!”
“Deb–
“You don’t know anything about me! You never knew. And you have never known!”
“Then why? Why did you hide it? At least, Elizabeth was sincere about her lifestyle”
“So? You wanted 2 black sheep in the house? You should wonder how the others would look at you? Mrs Deaconess Joseph? I pretended to keep a little smile on your face but I guess, It is.. What it is”
“Listen! You can still change”
“No. I haven’t done my last deed yet”
“And what’s that? Huh??!”

“Huh? Wha… What are talking about?”
“Mum? Won’t you leave? I think I’ve given you enough spoilers for the day” Deborah whispered as she stood up. She looked behind and signalled to the prison warden who c@mÂŁ to escort her.
Mrs Joseph kept watching her with tears as she walked away. Deborah stopped and turned to face her mother.
“And mum? For your information, They don’t feed us Stony Rice. It’s more like Watery ones” She smiled and left as her mother busted out in painful tears.

It was a Friday night. Alexa stared at the mirror and smiled heartily. She opened her big black bag and brou-ght out her make ups. Yeah! She had decided to reveal who she truly is to Ethan. She prayed he would’nt hate her too much. She applied powder, and little redl-ipstick. She gave a satisfactory smile and stood up.
“The last ingredient! My dress!” She whispered to herself, turning her b©dy side by side.
She went throu-gh the bag again and brou-ght a beautiful black dress. She changed into it immediately and got a womanly look. She was stunning! Beautiful! Everything was perfect. She smiled and inhaled de-eply.
She checked the time. It was 9:25pm alre-ady.
“Oww… It’s time to go! I spent enough time alre-ady!” She gushed as she wore her flat gold shoes which fitted her well. She left the room in a Swift and met her father at the door. He looked at her and smiled.
“Is this Alexa?” He asked, still wearing a smile. Alexa couldn’t help but chuckle.
“You look beautiful. He’s gonna be stunned” He added
“Wh… What?” She stuttered, surprisedly.
“I know you are going to see him” He whispered
“How did you know that?”
“Why wouldn’t I? Parents knows things like this. It’s normal”
“So,Do I look beautiful?”
“Very!”
“I’m gonna tell him the truth”
“That’s the best, sweetie”
“Will he hate me?”
“He won’t. Even if he tries to push you away. He will come running back to you”
“Dad?”
“Huh?”
“What if he actually hates me and doesn’t come running back to me? What should I do?”
“Huh?? Do you like him that much”
“Uh-huh!”
“Hmmm. If he doesn’t comes back. Always, Pester him till he takes you back!” He replied laughing.
“Aiish! What kinda option is that? Dad.. Wish me luck”
“You have all the luck you nee-d. I also wish you more. Bye Darling, You can come tomorrow morning if you want!” He said in a loud voice as he waved to her. Alexa laughed and walked out of the house.

Ethan was in the sitting room when he heard a bell ring loudly. However, He was lazy to get the door. He sighed and looked around. Ken wasn’t at home and Eric went to get some things down the street.
Ethan stood up, walked to the door and opened it. He stared, trying to find an emotion. He was speechless also.
“Wh… What… are.. you do… ing here?” He gathered his courage.
“Why? Can’t you ex girlfriend pay you a visit? Or is it because, I was an ex convict?” Laura asked, wearing a cornered smile.
“No.. Huh, No.. I’m..just, kinda surprised”
“Can I come in?” She asked
“What?”
Laura laughed and pushed him from the door,lightly. She closed the door with her heels from behind and it locked immediately. She looked at him and smiled.
She went closer to him and hu-gged him ti-ghtly. She rested her head on his che-st. She felt his heart racing.
“I wonder why your heart is racing? Is it because you still love me?” She whispered closing her eyes gently. Ethan blinked his eyes nervously, as he raised his arms above her shoulders not responding to the hu-g.
“Ethan.. I missed you” She whispered again.
“Huh?” He asked in a whisper
“Let’s get back together, Ethan.. What do you say?” She asked, hu-gging him ti-ghter. She raised her head and looked at him.
“Ethan? Get back together again with me” She smiled. Ethan looked at her and swallowed ha-rd.
“Laura?” He called
“Huh?”
He was about to reply when he got interrupted by the loud ringing bell.
“Huh? I’m gonna get that first. Seems Eric is back” Ethan tittered, as he dis-engaged from her. Laura watched him as he walked to the door. She held her bag ti-ghtly and followed him.
Ethan slowly opened the door. As soon as the door half-opened, He met with someone. Someone he had never met before, but looked familiar?.
“Who are…. His voice trailed off, his smile vanished. His face bec@mÂŁ sullen.
“Ethan? It’s me… Alex, Actually… It’s Alexa” She rushed her words, a bit carelessly
“What?”
“Let’s talk.. I’m gonna explain everything to you inside” She spoke out, nervously.
“Sorry. I don’t know you” His voice was cold.
“Huh?”
“Leave!”
“Ethan.. It’s me. It’s me, Alex”
“I said leave!” He yelled as Laura opened the door wi-dely. She stared at Alexa.
“Huh? You look somewhat familiar. Have we met somewhere before?” Laura asked instantly. Alexa didn’t reply. She only had her eyes on Ethan. She felt tears building up in her eyes.
“Ethan? Is she someone you know?”
“No. I don’t know her” His eyes were burning. His voice was really cold and harsh. He clenched his fist staring at Alexa.
“Ethan…
“This is my girl!–He paused and pu-ll-ed Laura shoulder closely with his arm.
….I don’t want a fan stalker here!”
“Can you just listen to me, first?”
Ethan sighed and pu-ll-ed Laura’s w@!st to his b©dy. He looked at her face and began to k!ss her de-eply. Alexa watched and couldn’t help it anymore. She felt hot tears running down her face.
“Leave now. Or you are gonna be humiliated by me!” Ethan thun-dered
“No–Her voice shaked,
….I don’t care. I’m going nowhere! I love you, Ethan.. I really do! Just give me a minute to explain, Jeballll”
Ethan bec@mÂŁ so furious and pushed her violently. However, She was saved by someone from the ha-rd veranda. She looked at the strong arm holding her. Then, to the Savior. It was Eric. He had a pity and sad look on his face.
Alexa hurriedly stood up and tried going back to Ethan but it was too late! He shut the door loudly and angrily on her face. Alexa busted into tears.
“What am I gonna do?” She cried in tears and kept pushing the door even though, It looked useless.
“It’s okay….. You are just wasting your energy and time, so just stop it alre-ady” Eric whispered
“No. I have to try! Ethan!! Are you there?? plea-se, Listen to me… I’m begging you!…. Eric, plea-se plead on my behalf. Tell him I’m sorry. I love him,Eric…I really do”
Eric sighed de-eply and held her clenched fist which kept hitting the ha-rd door.
“It’s fine.. Oh my Gosh, Just take a look at your face. You’re ruining your beautiful make up with your tears ” He whispered, staring at her from up close. He lifted his hand to her face and began to try up her tears.
“It’s okay.. Alexa, It’s okay”
Alexa cried the more and kept her face on his che-st, she hu-gged him ti-ghtly since she didn’t know what next to do. She felt down casted,terrible, weak and devastated alre-ady.
“What am I gonna do now?” Her voice trembled due to the tears. It was also vague as well since she had rested her head, including her mouth on his broad che-st.
“Alexa? Do you wanna go somewhere else? I’m gonna make you happy” He started hu-gging her ti-ght.
“Where?” She asked looking at him.
“Where you can be happy once again. A place of bright light and glittering stars” Eric replied, whispering. Alexa looked at him, in silence though the tears refused to stop flowing. She finally realized what she was doing and broke the ti-ght hu-g.
“Do you wanna come with me?” He asked as he stretched his arm towards her. Alexa looked at the offered hand and bit herl-ips in thought. She inhaled de-eply, looked at him and for-ced a quic-k smile.
“Okay… Let’s go” She finally replied and held onto his hand, while Eric smiled heartily.
