CHAPTER SEVEN :PERSONAL TUTOR
” Lord mammon may be marrying someone else soon lily ” Alina mumble while washing the dishes ” they is rumor that the king of winter land is interested in forming an alliance with our country, he may be thinking of sending his daughter here”
” Really ” rinsing the dishes I shrug ” I don’t think it matters if the king even have lots of wives”
” Concubines shouldn’t be happy lily ”
” Am not his concubine”
” You will be next year ” I remain quiet the rest of the day, the king didn’t send for me, which I was grateful for but my mood seem to have been bitter throu-ghout the day.
The idea of being his concubine always annoy me, I do not fancy it, if they was a way I can escape such a thing I will gladly do that ” this is so annoying ” it feels like I have been trapped in here longer than I expected, I haven’t step out of the palace since the day uncle brou-ght me here.
” You’re sad ”
” Yes ”
” Why are you ” turning around to stare at the man asking those questions I furrow my brows ” your thoughts are correct, you do not know me ”
” Who are you then ”
” Am Collin son ” I watch him smile as he mumble ” my father has told me a lot about you and since I was visiting today I decided to see you for myself ”
” Okay ” I mumble, not knowing what to say ” how did you find me ” never know sir Collin was married.
” Father told me you love spending your free time in the garden and I must say it is really beautiful in here ” nodding to his words I smile.
” It is” the flowers just feel right and then the huge tree at the middle, give someone shelter from the sun is amazing ” it’s perfect ”
” Would you mind if I sit?”
” of course not ” he smile back at me before sitting down, silence fall between us as the wind blow away my worries ” the ball ” he mumble
” Ball?”
” Lord mammon is trying to host a ball, is he not?”
I nod ” in three days time ”
” I will like you to be my plus one ” his grey eyes watch me carefully ” or do you already have a partner ”
” Huh ” I look at him ” you’re Collin son aren’t you?”
” Not exactly” he smile ” Collin once work for me, I was ten then, I look up to him like a father ”
” Who are you ”
” Am young Lord Ruskin, from the kingdom of the north, winter land ” he smile ” you have heard of me, haven’t you ”
Standing up I quickly bow down ” forgive me milord, I didn’t recognize you ” the right words is that, I know you not but I didn’t say that, his laughter fill the garden.
” Worry not lily” lifting my head I watch him smile, his red long hair, tied in a ponytail ” I will be staying here for three weeks, you seem interesting, keep me company ”
” Am afraid I can’t be milord ”
” Why is that?”
” I have chores and other duties to accomplish ”
” Then can I have your evenings?”
” My evenings?”
” Yes lily ” I watch how naturally he smile, leaving me with one conclusion, he is a handsome man ” I will like to talk with you, hear your thoughts ”
” You find me interesting?” I asked, getting curious.
” Indeed ”
” Isn’t that when you like someone ” furrowing my brows, he place his hands on his jaw, think for few seconds then nod
” Probably” his gaze move back to meet mine ” so will you become my close friend ” nodding my head I smile at that.
” Indeed milord!”
Lord Mammon frown ” how dare he keep me waiting ” my gaze move to meet baron ” where is Lord rushkin, I heard he is arriving today !” I growl while sitting in the meeting room ” I definitely do not have all day ”
” Forgive me milord ” Lord rushkin step in ” I had to meet father Collin ”
” Does that justify anything Lord rushkin ”
” Of course not ” he pull out a chair then sit down ” I was curious to meet a certain woman, that was the reason for my delay ”
” A woman in my palace” Mammon lean close ” are you interested in maids now?”
” Maids? ” Lord rushkin chuckle ” I find interest in things you find precious ”
” What could that be Lord rushkin ”
” If my memory is correct, her name should be lily ”
” Lily ”
” Before arriving in the kingdom I heard she is to be your concubine next year” rushkin smile ” so I decided to see her for myself, after meeting father Collin, I head towards her direction ”
” It is not like you to be interested in my possession ”
” That means you find her interesting? I could perceive this angelic scent from her almost…..”
” Of a fallen angel ” I complete the sentence and he smile ” I do not find her interesting rushkin ” folding my hands I frown ” I don’t even think I will make her my concubine ”
” Then can I have her?” I watch how interest dance in his eyes, Lord rushkin is a sick man, he may smile so naturally but a wolf in sheep clothing, he derive joy in killing, women to be precise ” I will treat her well ”
” You know well that I do not share what my name is written on, she is my possession” I frown ” am afraid I can’t heed to your request ”
” Is she that important ”
“my possession are not important but since they are mine…..they will remain mine forever ”
” I still do not know why you get so greedy at times ”
” Hmmm” opening the docu-ments I frown ” what brings you here ”
” I came ahead of my sister, the king of winter will like to form alliance with you”
” Then why are you here?” I inch my brow high and he shrug.
” I wish to clear the way for my sister ” he smile ” beside I do miss my brother ”
” I told you many times ” closing the files I look at him ” am not your brother and will never be ” standing to my feet, my gaze move back to baron ” inform queen Victoria I will be visiting her chambers tonight ”
” Of course milord ”
Before I leave, I gave Lord rushkin one more warning ” do not touch my possession if you fear death”

CHAPTER EIGHT: se-duce ME 1
Lord Mammon frown as he step out of the meeting room, such audacity, speaking with a property of mine, he might have even touch her, lily is naive, she can believe anything.
Before I knew what’s happening, am walking towards the servant quarters, maids murmur and step aside, it’s the first time I have set foot here and that too, late in the evening.
My gaze stop searching when it land on lily who is spreading some cloths, she haven’t noticed me yet ” do you wash this late?” My voice must have scared her, she flinch the moment I said that.
Her eyes widen from shock, she look around and at mere instinct, she grab hold of my hand and drag me to wherever she see fit, I however frown upon that, no one dares to touch me without permission.
How naive can she get ” milord!” She exclaim ” why will you do such a thing, surely you have brains!”
” Brains?” When it hit me, I frown…..is this girl raining insults on me?
” Surely you must have thought this throu-gh, coming to the servant quarters will only bring rumors, rumors which are not good for me ”
” And do you think dragging me away did any good?”
” I must have acted wrong ” my gaze travel down to her hands which is still holding mine, she did same and immediately let go of my hand ” forgive me milord, I must have been out of my mind ”
” Small ”
” Milord?”
” You have small hands ” I frown ” like an insect ”
” Insects don’t have hands milord ”
“Am sure they do ” placing my hands at my back I look around the pace, we seem to be in the garden, the air in here is calm and nice.
” Milord, did you have need for me ”
” Do you know Lord rushkin?”
” Yes milord ”
” What did he ask of you?” Looking at her, she frown.
” Milord, I do not see need to give answers to your questions ”
” Am your king ”
” I have rights ” she exhale ” milord I will like to take my leave, the cold happens to be sending chills down my body ”
My gaze travel back to meet hers ” lily ” squeezing my hands she gave me confused expression ” just know you belong to me and me alone ”
” What does that mean?”
” Means you’re not allowed to let someone else touch you lily ” moving close to her, she didn’t step back, curiosity dance in her eyes, lifting my hand I pull her hair out of the donut she kept it then run my hands throu-ghthem ” am the only one allowed to touch you ”
” Even to kis-s me?” She ask and I smile then nod.
” Yes ”
” Does that mean you find me interesting ?”
” Not exactly ” I frown ” like I said you’re my possession, my property…..you belong only to me and no one else ” letting go of my hair, she give me a confused looked.
” Am confused milord ” she move closer, like she is trying to read my eyes ” you seem greedy, you’re selfish milord and it’s not something to be proud of……my mum always said it is good to share ”
” What good comes out in sharing ”
” Don’t you enjoy seeing people happy milord ” she asked ” and if that happens they will place you in their heart forever ”
” Huh ”
” Right here milord ” she lift my hand and place it on her che-st, where her hearts lays and also her bre-ast s, I blink……for someone seventeen she has a lot growing on her ” they will grow to love you milord, they will find you kind ”
How can she let anyone touch her bre-ast thinking it’s her heart “enough!” Pulling my hands out of hers I clear my throat ” what do I do to you, surely you do not think it’s wise to let a grown man touch your bre-ast ” her cheek redden from my words.
” But it’s you milord ” she mumble, looking down ” just like you said, very soon I will be laying beneath you and I was told to se-duce you ”
” se-duce me?”
Her eyes widen at her sli-p of tongue ” that’s nothing milord, if you excuse me ” before she could leave i get hold of her arm ” Lord Mammon?” It was the first time a mere concubine called my name, I frown upon that.
” Watch your tongue young lady!” I growl before realizing which made tears to fall from her eyes, she pull her arm out of mine then bow down.
” Please forgive milord, it was a sli-p of tongue ” she sniff and I exhale
Lily remain kneeing and crying, the garden became quiet, the king said nothing and so did I, what got into me to call his name, am I stupid? ” se-duce me ” hearing his voice so close, I lift my head only to stare at him bending real close to me ” you can se-duce me if you wish silly ”
” It’s lily milord ”
” I know ” he frown then pat my head ” you should never call me Lord Mammon ever again…. un-derstood?”
” Yes milord ”
” Fine then ” he stand to his feet ” I want you to come to the meeting room by nine lily ” he gave me a serious look ” you said something about seducing me and I want to see you try ”
” Why?”
His look turn evil ” why else lily, it will be fun and entertaining” sometimes you will think the king is getting kind but instead he is getting worst ” I won’t be alone lily, my generals will sit beside me and watch the show ”
” The show?”
” Put on little clothing, after all that’s the essence of seducing someone ”
” Milord, surely you’re joking ”
He stopped walking then send a frown my way ” do I look like a king who joke around?”
” Did I anger you” I stand to my feet ” my Lord please reconsider, I….I can’t ”
” You choose to go against me?” He furrow his brows and I quickly shake my head, fighting more tears to flow out.
” No milord”
He stare at me for few more minutes before leaving me alone in the garden, my anger seem to be boiling, angry at myself for not being able to do anything.
He wants seduction and I will give him what he don’t expect.
