“What are you doing here?”

“I’m coming along with you guys.”

????????????????????????????????????????

I know glaring at her shouldn’t be the right thing for me to do but yet I find myself doing just that.

Why exactly was she coming with us? She wasn’t part of the five Stars, she wasn’t their personal a-ssistant, neither was she even their maids… so why was she coming along with us?

Was Mr Joe aware of this?

She was sitting beside Malcolm and they were both talking like they were lovers.

My subconscious pointed out.

Tsk, how can I forget that.

I look away from them and turn to stare at the others.

Staring at Malcolm and his girlfriend wasn’t helping at all.

Elvis was asleep. Denise was playing a game on his phone. Johnny was trying to engage Denise into a conversation.

And Mason?

He was just staring at something on his phone.

I sighed and rested my head back against the headrest and shut my eyes closed.

I was tired.

I was bored.

I never imagined this trip to be this boring. I mean, who knew that being on a trip with the five Stars would be this boring?

Definitely not their fans, especially Cherry.

I yawned making myself more comfortable on the chair. I didn’t even know when or how I fell asleep.

????????????????????????????????????????

“Wake up, sleepyhead.” Someone say, shaking me.

I slowly open my eyes and look around my surroundings. I was still on that same spot where I had fallen asleep while Johnny was kneeling in front of me.

“We are here.” He say, getting up to his full height.

That was when I realized that Johnny and I were actually the only ones on the plane.

“oh.”

He grabbed my wrist and pulled me along with him out of the plane.

He led me towards the guys. They were already in a limousine waiting for us.

Johnny opened the car for me to enter, I did just that while he followed me from behind.

Due to my bad luck, I ended up right beside Malcolm.

His ‘girlfriend’ was at his left side while I was at his right.

God, what kind of an awkward and unfortunate position is this?

“What was keeping you both in there?” Kara say, shooting daggers at my way.

Oh, the question was actually directed at me.

“Sorry. I kind of slept off.” I say.

She scoffed, giving me a disgusted look. “How can you just sleep off? You are suppose to be looking out for them and not sleep off.” She scolded.

I tried my possible best not to eye her. “Sorry.”

“You_”

“She said she’s sorry, Kara. You don’t need to prolong the matter again.” Malcolm cuts in, shutting her up.

“But….Fine.” She eyed me before turning her face from me.

Thank God that. I almost take someone’s eyes off its socket.

“Are you good?” Malcolm whispered to me.

Wait, was he showing concern towards me?

The Malcolm I got to know hates this face so why was he being this nice towards me now?

I nod.

“Sorry about her behavior. she’s always like that.” He say in a whisper.

I simply nod.

Honestly I don’t know what to say to him. I was kind of feeling awkward and uncomfortable around him.

Once upon a time I almost ki-ssed this guy sitting right beside me. I wouldn’t have mind if he had ki-ssed me… I would have even ki-ssed him back.

I had even imagined having se-x with him. Which was absolutely wrong of me.

I wasn’t mask girl, I have told him that but how will he look at me if I had let him ki-ssed me?

Cheap?

A whore?

Someone who just want to get laid with the celebrity?

I don’t know…but still, thank goodness Mason came around just in time.

And now, here we are sitting beside each other with his girlfriend by the other side.

What a great luck that I have.

The rest of the ride was in utmost silence which I was grateful for.

I wasn’t in the mood to have any kind of discussion with any of them especially with the one by my side.

????????????????????????????????????????

“Finally!” Elvis say, getting out of the car.

“I hate long ride.” Mason muttered under his breath as he also got out.

Like seriously, I also hate long rides. They are so tiring.

“Are we going to be staying here?” Mason questioned, staring at the house in front of us in disgust.

“fu-ck, I can’t believe dad will bring us to a place that stink like this. There is no way I’m going in there.” Kara say in disgust.

“No one asked you to come along.” Denise say.

“Excuse me?”

“I think it’s better we go in instead of standing and out like this.” I say, ending the argument that was about to take place between Kara and Denise.

“She’s right.” Malcolm say. He started walking over to the house. I followed him from behind.

“Wait for me, Mal. Gosh, I can’t believe I’m doing this.” Kara ran towards Mal, pushing me out of the way in the process.

I lost my balance and fell to the ha-rd ground.

fu-ck, that hurts like a bit-ch !

Johnny, Denise and Elvis ran towards me.

“Are you alright?” Elvis ask.

I nod.

“Are you sure?” Johnny was the one who asked this time around.

“Yeah.” I say.

All eyes were on me. Even Malcolm had stopped walking and was staring at me now.

Was it concern I was seeing in his eyes?

“Need me to help you up?” Johnny stretches his palm towards me.

I hesitate for a while before taking his hand. He pulled me up and that was when I knew that I wasn’t okay.

I released his hand and fell right back on the ground.

My leg fu-cking hurts.

Malcolm ran towards me and knelt down in front of me.

“Does it hurts?” He caressed my ankle and I hiss in pain. “You’ve sprained your ankle.” He say.

I glance over at Kara and shoot daggers her way.

“What?” She ask, acting all innocent.

“This is all your fault. I sprained my ankle because of you!” I yell in anger. I didn’t even know when I started crying.

“You don’t have to cry just because you sprained your ankle.” Malcolm say.

“i’m not crying because I sprained my ankle but I’m crying because I won’t be able to walk.”

That was true. I can’t work because I can’t walk and we are here for work.

I ignored her, because right now wasn’t the best time for joke.

“It’s not forever. You will still be able to work. I believe in you.” Johnny say, grinning.

Before I knew it, I was lifted up from the ground into Malcolm’s arms. He carried me in a bridal style and started making his way to the house.

“What are you doing, Mal? Drop her down.” Kara say.

He stopped walking and turn to look at Kara. And for a moment I thought he was going to drop me down but he surprised me by saying;

“I wouldn’t be carrying her right now if only you didn’t push her and caused her to sprain her ankle.”

“But it was a mistake.”

“Mistake are meant to be corrected, Kara. I’m correcting your mistake now.”

He continued walking over to the house.

I can’t believe he just said that to his girlfriend.

I was short of words as I stare at the guy whose arms were around me. This guy keep making me fall in love with him.

I tightened my arms around his neck and rested my head against his chest.

Would it be foolish of me if I say I’m grateful to Kara for pushing me? Because if she didn’t push me then I wouldn’t be this close to this one guy that my heart always beat for.

????????????????????????????????????????

“Ahh!” I screamed in pain as I grip the mattress, tightly.

Malcolm was pressing my sprained ankle right now with hot water. The others were behind him, staring at me. While Kara was glaring at me.

I take back my words…. I wasn’t grateful to her for pushing me.

The ankle hurts like a bit-ch !

“You will be fine.” Malcolm say, getting up to his feet.

“Hmm.” I mumbled, staring at everywhere but his face.

“Kara, don’t you have anything to say to her?” He ask.

“What do I have to say to her?” Kara questioned back.

“Really? Are you asking me that right now?”

She sighed and muttered. “I’m sorry.”

I smiled but said nothing.

They all walked out of the room and left just me on the bed.

Johnny had tucked me Into a blanket before leaving the room.

The lights were switched off. I was just lying on the bed with my gaze on the ceilings.

I can’t even move my legs just because of my injured ankle and all thanks to that bit-ch .

I sighed as I shut my eyes closed, trying to get some sleep but I couldn’t fall asleep.

I snapped my eyes open and glared up at the ceilings.

I can’t believe my day at Boston would be like this.

The room door creaked open and revealed Malcolm.

He shut the door closed behind him and turn on the lights before making his way to me.

He drew a chair to his side and sat down on it.

“How are you feeling now?”

“Better.” I answer. “What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be asleep?”

It was late already so he should be asleep and not awake.

“I couldn’t sleep. I’m sorry about the ankle.”

“You don’t have to be sorry. It wasn’t your fault. My mother once told me, do not feel sorry because of some one else’s predicament. it wasn’t your fault that the person got into that problem.” I smiled. “i’m fine.”

He knitted his brows at him and opened his mouth to talk but shut it closed. It did it again but no one left his li-ps.

Was he okay?

“Are you okay?” I ask.

“Huh?Oh, yeah. you should get some sleep now.” He say, getting up to his feet.

He was going to walk pas-sme when I got hold of his wrist.

“thanks for treating my injured ankle. I owe you for that.”

“you don’t. If Kara didn’t push you then… ”

I cut him off before he could go further.

“Kara pushed me not you.”

He remained silent for a while staring right into my eyes.

“you keep reminding me of her.” He say in a whisper but I still heard him loud and clear.

I cleared my throat and look away, breaking the eye contact.

“Are you really not her?” He ask, getting closer to me.

“It’s late. I need to sleep.”

He sighed as he got up to his feet. He was about to leave the room when I said.

“Stop asking if I’m mask girl or whatever you call her… because I’m not her and can never be her.”

This ankle doesn’t hurt compare to how the lie hurts.

He was hurt as well but there was nothing I could do.

This was for the best.

“Good night. Thanks again for today.” I say.

He didn’t say anything but left the room.

I shut my eyes closed and started sobbing silently.

I can’t believe I’m going throu-ghthis pain again.

????????????????????????????????????????

“Rise and shine, sunshine.”

I gro-aned, opening my eyes. The first person that came into view was Johnny.

I glare at him.

He grinned.

“Stop grinning. Why did you wake me up?”

“We need to exercise your ankle.”

“My what?”

He started laughing. “Just kidding. We’ve called a doctor, he’s here now to examine your ankle.”

I look behind him and saw a man in his late forties, staring at me with a smile across his face.

“She’s all yours, doc.” Johnny say, getting up to his feet.

Somehow that word sound like I was being sold off to this man in white.

Wait, what if I was truly sold off to him?

????????????????????????????????????????

Malcolm walked into my room with a tray in hand. He dropped the tray on the bed, in front of me.

There was a plate of porridge and a glas-sof cold water.

“You don’t need to do this. You don’t have to feel like it’s your fault that I’m injured.” I say.

I don’t understand his kindness towards me anymore.

I mean, I thought he was going to hate me not after what happened last night.

I had spoke rudely to him and that was very wrong of me but I had no choice. I have to make him stop believing that I was mask girl.

Which I’m practically am.

“I’m not doing this because i feel guilty.” He says.

“then why?”

“I don’t know. I just wanna help. Here, I prepared the food myself.”

I stared at him wide eyes. “You can cook?”

He laughs softly. “You make it sound like it’s a crime.”

“I’m just surprise.”

He picks up the spoon and scoop some porridge into the spoon, he stretched his hand towards my li-ps.

“eat.” He Instructed.

I rolled my eyes. “i sprained my ankle not my wrist.” I collect the spoon from him and eat the porridge. I mo-an-ed over the sweet taste of the porridge.

This guy has great skills at cooking.

“It’s delicious. I can’t believe a member of the five Stars could actually cook.”

“I’m honored to have removed that thoughts from your head.”

An hour later, I was done with the food. It was past four already and Malcolm and I were still chatting and laughing.

I felt like we’ve gone back to time when we got stuck at the sto-re room. But this time around, we weren’t stuck in a sto-re room…we were both together because we wanted to be together.

Malcolm was such a great company. He told me funny experience that had happened between him and his team.

I found myself laughing like an idiot.

Malcolm was also laughing at his own jokes.

“Oh my God. It’s so hilarious.” I say.

“I know right. The guys are always this funny whenever we are together away from the crowd. They are really amazing.”

He was happy talking about his team. He has those dreaming look as he said those words.

That was when I realized that Malcolm doesn’t hate his team. He doesn’t even hate the life he was living as a celebrity…he only just want a little time for himself.

He seeks for that privacy.

“Tell me about your family.” Gosh, I can’t believe i said that.

what business do I have with his family?

“Um, you don’t need to answer that.” I quickly added.

“I’m sorry but I don’t want to talk about them. Hope you don’t mind?”

“I don’t.”

I was still quite confuse over Mal sudden kindness towards me. He had always hated me when I started working for them so what’s this sudden change of character?

“Why are you being so nice to me?”

He didn’t say anything. And for a moment I thought he wasn’t going to answer but he finally spoke up.

“I’m looking for an answer.” That was his reply.

An answer? To what?
