?Chapter Six (6)?

Subtitle: {When you try to avoid someone, stay in your room?}

After eating the macaroni and pepper sauce. I made my way to my room to get prepared for the outing with Sonia. Although, I have no idea of where we were going to but I still took my time to dress up nicely…. just kidding.

i just wore a blue jean trouser and blue sweatshirt. I let go of my hair and it fell to my back. Well, I don’t look that bad, right? Yeah, whatever.

After dressing, I made my way to the sitting room and sat down on my favorite couch and that was when a message came in.

I glance down at it and it was a message from Sonia.

Sonia: I’m sorry but it got shifted, I will pick you up by seven-thirty. Okay?:)

I rolled my eyes as I read the text. Really? And she is just telling me now? I sighed de-eply as I typed back a reply.

Me: Okay. But where are we going to?:) I pressed send and waited for a reply. After a while there was a reply from her.

Sonia: It’s a surprise, remember? And stop asking becos I won’t tell you:)

Me: Yeah, yeah. I hope I won’t regret this:) A reply came in from her almost immediately.

Sonia: You won’t. Trust me.And hey, dress up nicely?:)

I rolled my eyes as I saw the emoji. Of course she would have winked if she was here. I dropped my phone down by my side and leaned into the couch as I stared at the ceilings. So what am I suppose to do now? I’m practically bored. Like really bored.

My phone dinged again signifying that I have a new message. I picked up my phone and glance down at it, it was a message from Owens this time around. I couldn’t help the smile that made its way to my face. Wait, why was I this happy over a text message from Owens? Oh, maybe because he’s my friend and nothing more.

(But hey, you just chatted with Sonia and you didn’t look slight happy about it.) My subconscious reminded me but I ignored it completely.

Owens?: Xup pretty:)

I couldn’t help as I blus-hed over the text message. He had just called me pretty, even with the fact that I had gla-sses on, he still saw me as a pretty girl. Wait, why was I even overreacting? Get a grip of yourself, Ella.

Me: Hey?:) I replied.

Owens?: Hey, you don’t sound happy, What’s up?:)

I really don’t know if it was necessary to tell Owens that I was bored. I mean, maybe he was busy with something more important than me. And besides, I don’t want to for-ce someone into doing something like I did with my mother.

Gosh, thinking about her again made me realize something; I don’t deserve to be happy. I had caused her death and here i was smiling like an idiot.

I shove my phone into my pan-ts pocket, completely ignoring Owens’ text message. I made my way to my room and laid flat on my bed and stared at the blank boring ceilings.

I suddenly recalled the reason why I was here. I was here to study very ha-rd and become a qualified artist so I could draw a painting of my mother. That had been my promise to her. A promise I must fulfil. A promise that might be a key to freedom of the guilt of the past. But that is if only I can really get away from the guilt.

I shut my eyes close as the tears of regret, guilt and pain rolled down to my cheeks. Of course, it always win. I dug my nails into my palm. I don’t deserve to be happy. And that was my last thought before I fell asleep.

****

“Wake up…Ella, wake up.” I could that girly voice say as she kept pulling the covers off my body.

“Go away. I want to sleep.” I groa-ned as I turned to the other side.

“No! Wake up, have you forgotten we have a place to go to! Wake up, Ella. Hurry. If you don’t wake up I’m going to pour a bucket of water over you and your bed. Trust me.” That made me sat upright on my bed. I glared at Sonia, who was smiling sweetly at me. “Now, you are finally up.”

“Really. do you have to make a threat like that?”

She shrugged. “I had to. Anyway, are you ready?” I gave her a confusing look. Ready? For what? “Wait, don’t tell me you’ve forgotten about our plans?”

“plans? What plan….oh no. It’s seven-thirty already?” I couldn’t help the shock in my face.

It was her turn to give me a confuse expression. “Yeah?”

What? I couldn’t believe the fact that I had slept for such a long time. I pulled out my phone and stare down at it, there were four messages from Owens.

Owens?: Ella? Answer me:)

Owens?: Do you want me to come over?:)

Owens?: Are you mad at me or something? why aren’t replying?:)

Owens?: Ellllla? Are you busy?:)

I felt kind of bad for ignoring him this way. But hey, don’t judge me, I had fallen asleep accidentally. Okay, that isn’t an excuse but…. still!

“Back to earth, Ella.” Sonia flic-kered her fingers in my face and that made me fake glare at her. He smiled sheepishly at me. “Let’s go if you are all prepared.” She said.

I shook my head. “I don’t think I would want to go again.” I said honestly.

She scrunched her nose at me. “Why not?” She asked but I just shrugged. I can’t possibly tell her that it’s because I don’t think I deserve to be happy after killing my mother. “Shrugging isn’t an answer, Ella!” She almost snapped. “I had to drive over here to get you and what…you are turning me down, really?”

She’s making me feel bad now. I had ignored Owens’ text and now I’m planning on turning Sonia down. Tsk, I’m such a joy killer.

“You are such a joy killer.” Sonia voiced out for me. Yeah, yeah you don’t need to tell me, I already know that.

“Fine. Let’s go and thanks for making me feel this way.” I said as I got up to my feet and walked over to get my shoe.

She smiled. “I just wanted you to feel bad and then decide to come along and look, it worked.” She grinned now.

I rolled my eyes as I took out a white converse. But then, it felt like I was overdressing. I stared at myself at the mirror and glance over at Sonia from the mirror. She was putting on a purple short gown and a black heel. Her hair where let loose just like mine but she had dyed the tip of the hair purple in color. Okay, I guess I’m not overdressed.

“Okay, I’m all prepared.” I said drily.

“Okay. Let’s go have fun.” She squealed as she lock her arm with mine and pulled me alongside with her out of the door and the apartment.

Let’s go have fun. Yay! Tsk, definitely not happy about this. Yeah, that reminds me I haven’t seen that idiot since morning but who cares?

****

“What the….?” I couldn’t help it as I let out the word and turned to Sonia who was grinning at me.“A party?”

A college party.” She corrected me as she squealed, again.

“yeah, I can see that. But really? A party? You know I am not the party type.”

She gave me a weird look like I had just said that I was pregnant for her brother. Okay, don’t stick to that.

“You have got to be kidding me. Anyway, good thing I would be the first person taking you for a party. It’s a great honor, trust me.” She winked.

“Okay, stop winking, it sulk.”

She smiled. “Let’s go have fun.” She lock her arm with mine and pulled me into the apartment. We entered the compound and I must say, the compound was great. There teens everywhere. Some were making out at the corner of the compound while some were at the pool area, swimming or dancing. Music blast from inside.

I quickly turned around and ran out of the compound. Sonia stared at me with utmost surprise with her mouth wide open but I didn’t turn back. I just wanted to run far away from them. From this place. I don’t belong here. I don’t!

But well, those were my thought. Wait, you didn’t actually think that those were real, did you?

Sonia pulled me into the house. The house was more worse than outside. The house were filled with cigarettes and drinks. Oh no. I can’t be here. I clenched my phone tightly as I looked around the house.

There were lot of teenagers making out and smoking. Sonia pulled me with her again as she took me to the place where drinks were.

“do you like vodka?” She yelled over the music so I could hear her.

“I haven’t had one before!” I yelled in return.

“What? Really?” I nodded my head. “What planet did you come from?” She asked now.

I rolled my eyes. “Mars. But I’m quite sure you came visiting, right?” I answered her sarcastically which only caused her to laugh.

“Here.” She handed me a cup but I shook my head. “why not?”

“I don’t drink.” I simply answered. She rolled her eyes as she gulped down the whole content in the cup. Geez, this girl was going to get herself drunk.

Suddenly an arm wrapped itself around my wa-ist. I quickly pulled away as I turned around to see who it was that had done something as stupid as this.

Of course. It has to be him. Sleeping at home all day was quite more better than seeing this idiot’s face. Whenever you are avoiding someone, it’s best you sleep in your room all day.

He smir-ked down at me as he took a step closer to me. “Wow, I didn’t expect to see you here.” He now said.

“Neither did I ” I replied drily as I turned back to Sonia but she wasn’t there any longer. Oh, great! She had abandoned me in the hands of her idiotic brother.

He took out a cigarette. “You look… the same. I prefer the four eyes without a dress on.” He winked as he began to lit the cigarette.

“You are crazy.” I said and tried to walk away but he held my hand and pulled me to his arms and I fell back on his broad ch-est.

“Have you given it a thought?” He asked.

“what?” I asked, acting to be clueless as I pulled away from him and straightened my shirt and fix my gla-sses well so it wouldn’t come off.

He leaned closer to my face and our faces were inches away from each other. I could feel my breath caught up as I stared into his eyes.

“You know exactly what I’m talking about. Having se-x with you is one thing I must do. Though, you are not my type but like I said, I’m a se-x freak… don’t blame me.”

“Must you always be this nasty?” I couldn’t help but ask.

He smir-ked again. “I love it when things are nasty, four eyes.” I stared down at my li-ps.

“don’t even think of it.” I said as he started leaning in to ki-ss me.

He chuckled as he pulled back. “You are tough. I like it. I love it when girls are tough. But hey, the good girls always fall for the bad guys.”

“Well, this girl here,” I gestured towards myself. “Isn’t one of those girls. And stop trying so ha-rd because you wouldn’t get what you want and also leave me alone.”

“Have you forgotten we are roomie? I can’t possibly leave you alone until I get what I want.” He look down at my bre-ast and then his smirk grew wider. And I knew exactly what he was thinking about.

“You are an idiot, you know that right?”

He shrugged. “What can I say?”

“Hey Ryder. Are you going to join in playing the game?” A guy asked as he made his way to us. Oh, so the idiot name was Ryder and that was when I realized that we haven’t actually called each other by our names.

“Sure.” He turned to me. “Aren’t you joining?” He asked me now.

“No.” I answered, looking around in search of Sonia and that when I saw her making her way to us. Thank goodness.

“Hey, Enjoying the party, Ella?” She asked as she got to us.

“Not really? And your brother wasn’t helping at all.”

“I can imagine. He is just a jerk.”

“And an idiot.” I added.

She laughed. “I agree with you on that. I don’t seem to und-erstand why girls bow at his feet.”

“They lack options. Because your brother look like a pig.”

We heard a throat clear from behind and we both turned our face to the direction. “What?” Sonia and I asked in unison as we glared at him.

“You both do realize that I’m standing right here.” The idiot said while the guy by his side was laughing his as-sout.

I shrugged and so did Sonia and we both said. “And so?”

“fu-ck! I like this girl. I’m Lewis by name.” He introduced extending his hand to me for a handshake.

“Ella.” I introduced shaking his hand.

“Can you join us in the game. I mean, it will be so much fun having you there. I mean, you are the first girl to practically hate Ryder. Ryder, You’ve seen your match. A girl who won’t give you what you want. Like se-x.”

“She would. It’s just a matter of time.”

“Stop fooling yourself.” I spat.

Sonia laughed. “Then let’s go for the game. It’s game time!” She squealed as she followed Lewis out to the opposite side. I’m sure that’s where the game is taken place.

I was going to walk pas-shim but he pulled me against a wall and stood right in front of me. It felt like I was watching a romantic movie. But this wasn’t a romantic movie. This was real.

“Do you think you are going to by pas-smy charm?”

I gulped. “But I already did.”

He smir-ked. “Is that what you think? Fine. We will see to that. See you in the game area.” He winked before walking out towards the opposite direction where Sonia had left with Lewis.

Okay, that was creepy. I walked over to the opposite direction myself and I saw lot of teenagers gathered in circle. Wait, don’t tell me it’s what I’m thinking.

“Come on, Ella. Sit by my side.” Sonia said as she created a space for me between her and another guy I haven’t met before. I smiled before making my way to her and sitting by her side.

“So…We are going to play, spin the bottle. And guys, there is no turning back. But if you still insist to walk out of the game, fine. But before you can walk out You will have to make out with the first guy that calls your name.” Lewis explained. He took out some cards. “When the bottle points at you and your opposite, you will pick one card and whatever challenge you see on it, you will have to do it with him or her.”

That idiot was smirking at me from the other side. He was sitting down by the side of a girl who kept flirting with him What does all this girls see in him? Because this guy definitely looks like a pig!

(liar!) My subconscious yelled but I ignored it.

I should just stand up and walk out but like what Lewis had said, there was no turning back. I was in for a big trouble. My first ki-ss is going to be given out to one of these guy here or probably to a girl. No!!!!

A girl named Christy was the first to spin the bottle. It kept on spinning until it finally stopped, it was pointing at a guy named Liam.

Christy walked over to the table were the cards were kept facing down. She picked one and glance throu-ghit before reading it out loud for the whole group.

“ki-ss him for thirty seconds. Easy!” She dropped the card back down on the table but this time around it was away from the others which signifies that it has already being used.

Lewis set the time. Christy and Liam started ki-ssing while the group cheered them on until the time was up. Christy smir-ked before going to sit on her sp-ot back.

Liam spun the bottle. It kept on spinning until it stopped at another girl named Sarah. Liam walked over to the table and picked up a card. He read it out loud.

“rom-ance for thirty seconds.” He dropped the card and made his way to the girl. He started romancing her and she couldn’t hold it in any longer and mo-aned out softly. Finally the time was up.

I should better leave. What if it got to my turn? what if I was being ask to ki-ss a girl? I quickly shook that nasty thought off my head.

The game went on and on until it was time for Sonia to spin the bottle. A girl had spin the bottle and had stopped at Sonia. They both made out and Sonia doesn’t feel so affected by it. I mean, if it were to be me I would have just fake death instead of making out with a girl.

She spun the bottle and it stopped at Lewis. She rolled her eyes at this but walked over to the table. She picked out one card and read out loud.

“Whipped a cream on his ch-est and wipe it off using your tongue.”

“I will get the cream.” A guy named Dean said before running off after a while he returned with the cream.

Sonia collected it from him and asked Lewis to lay on his back, Lewis did as he was told. Sonia applied the cream and lic-ked it off with her tongue. I could see Lewis trying to hold himself from mo-aning.

After that, Lewis spun the bottle and it stopped at that idiot. Wait, boy vs boy? Gross!

Lewis picked a card and read it out loud.

“Lap dance.” Everyone started laughing and that includes me. They played a music and Lewis started lap dancing that idiot. It was so hilarious. After they were done, The idiot spun the bottle. His gaze were fixed on me.

God, please don’t let the bottle stop in front of me. Please. Please. I kept praying inwardly and thankfully, God answered my prayer because the bottle stop at a girl named Chelsey.

The idiot picked up a card and read out loud.

“ki-ss for forty seconds.” He shrugged as he dropped the card. I could see from here at how bright the girl’s face already is.

The idiot pulled her to him and started ki-ssing her. She wrapped her arms around his ne-ck and started ki-ssing him back. The ki-ss were tough and hard. The time became up.

The idiot smir-ked at the girl and whispered something in her ear, she smiled and nodded. I’m quite sure he had asked her to meet up with him at his apartment. I’m going to kill this guy if he dares show up with another girl in the apartment.

The girl spun the bottle and guess what? The bottle stopped right in front of me. She frowned as she saw who it was that was going to do something funny with her.

She picked up a card and read aloud.

“Hug with your clothes off for thirty seconds.”

what? Wait, I have to take off my dress with all this people here? Chelsey had already taken off her dress. She was wearing a black bra.

I could hear Sonia cheering me on. I slowly took off my sweatshirt. Thank goodness I had wore a better bra. It was red in color. We both hug-ged for thirty seconds and finally the time was up.

I quickly snatched my shirt and wore it over my head before spinning the bottle. It kept spinning until it stop right in front of him. No!!! why does it have to be him? Why?

I walked over to the table and picked out one card as I kept praying to God to save me from this tragedy that was going to take place. I read out loud.

“Make out for forty seconds.” I gulped. Yeah, the heavens are mad at me. I’m doomed. TBC.

A/N: I’m in love with this chapter. Ella should just disappear that’s the best option left for her?…Lol, Just kidding!

Question: Was Ella right to have ignore Owens like that? Comment!
