Subtitle: {Stuck With An Idiot?}

★Ella’s Pov★

“what? You have got to be kidding me.” I said getting frustrated already. How is this even possible? What college will put two opposite se-x in one room? I mean, I don’t get it. And with the way I’m seeing this guy, he looks like a pervert.

“does it look like I’m kidding? Listen, I hate girls of your kind and trust me, I had prefer fooling around outside than be stuck with you in the same apartment.” He said as he stared at me with disgust.

I wasn’t moved by how ridiculous his face looks right now. “And do you also think I’m glad to be stuck with an idiot like you?” I fired back. Whoa, where did that courage comes from?

He glared at me and I was a bit frightened on how his face looks right now. “What? An idiot? Did you just call me an idiot?” He asked.

“you started it.” I said.

“I have better things to do than to stand here and exchange words with you.” He spat. “And hey, just in case you don’t know I hate people peeking on my stuffs, stay away from my space to avoid any kind of trouble.” He brou-ght out a pack of cigarette and took one out then put the pack into his pocket before taking out a lighter. Wait, he smokes too? For Christ sake i’m an asthmatic patient.. okay, he doesn’t know that but…still!

“what are you doing?” I asked giving him a weird look.

“i’m going to play golf.” He replied sarcastically. “are you blind or something?”

“that’s rude, okay? And there is no way you are going to smoke in here.”

He lit the cigarette then spoke. “Stop me then.” He drew the smoke into his lungs still glaring at me. “You kind disgust me. And mind you, i’m going out, make sure you keep away from my stuffs, four eyes.” He exhaled the smoke from his mouth but the problem here is, he exhaled right at my face! I started coughing. He smir-ked and walked out of the door.

That guy is a psychopath. I started coughing as it became very difficult for me to breath. Oh my god, the attack was back again.

I hurriedly made my way to my suitcase and opened the small part of it and took out my inhaler and pressed a few air into my mouth and gradually my breathing became normal.

Gosh, I can’t believe this. That idiot almost got me killed! Like killed! Who does he think he is to say those shit to my face and exhaled those stupid smoke at my face? I can’t believe this is actually happening, I really can’t believe it.

I sank down on the couch and stared at nothing in particular. This was the first time something like this is happening. I’ve never encountered anyone as idiotic as that guy. And I’ve never gotten this annoyed before. This was my first time in experiencing it and funny enough, this was also my first day at college. The journey as just begun. And I was stuck with that idiot.

I made my way to the kitchen to prepare dinner when my phone started ringing. I snatched my phone from the island table and glance at the caller ID, it was a call from my dad.

Oh no, I forgot to give him a call. And it’s all because of that idiot. He even dared call me a four eyes. Like seriously, who does that?

“hey dad.” I said cheerfully as I answered the call and pulled it against my ear.

“How are you darling?” He asked.

“great.” I replied with a clenched teeth. Because honestly, nothing was going great here. In fact, I was so mad. Mad at everything. “how are you?” I asked him.

“great, dear. Have you gotten to your apartment?” He asked again.

“yeah.”

“is your roommate a nice girl? Does she likes you? Are you comfortable with her?” He asked all at once.

My dad actually thinks my roommate was a girl. But I can’t tell him the truth because i might only just get worried and I don’t want that for him.

No, He’s not a nice person. No he doesn’t like me. And still no, i’m not comfortable with him! That would have been my reply but I said the opposite instead.

“she’s nice. And yeah, she likes me. We are both also comfortable with each other. I’m happy here, anyway. It’s really fun.”

He chuckled lightly and I was so happy to hear he chuckle. “i’m happy that you are happy. Finally, you’ve changed an environment. I’m super excited.”

I smiled over that. “Yeah.”

“so what are you doing now?” He asked again.

I look around the kitchen before replying. “i’m making dinner. Have you eaten?” I asked him right back.

“Yeah. I just finished eaten.” He said.

“And how about Winnie?” Just then I heard her back. A smile made its way to my li-ps. I love my family and I miss them also. They are my strength when I’m weak. I’m super glad to have them by my side.

I was going to talk again when the door burst open. That idiot and a girl walked in, they were both suc-king each other’s face out. Gosh, I’ve always seen this on TV but I really haven’t watch it live until now.

He grabbed her bu-tt and pulled her up, she wrapped her legs around his wa-ist and they continued suc-king . Was this guy serious right now? I was his roommate, it’s not like he was the only one living here. Doesn’t he have any kind of respect for me? Really?

He pulled them to the couch, my favorite couch and lay over her and started ki-ssing her on her ne-ck, shoulder, and down to her legs? Okay, I don’t know. She mo-aned loudly. Seriously?

“Ella, what’s that?” My dad’s voice came from the other line. Shoot! I’ve totally forgotten about him.

“um, nothing. It’s um…”

“Oh my god. You are so goooood.” The girl mo-aned out, loudly. Really? Can’t be more quiet? And can’t that idiot take her to his room?

“Ella?”

“It’s a movie.” I quickly said. I can’t believe I’m lying to my dad, again. “My roomie and her boyfriend are watching a movie. A romantic one.” I mumbled the last sentence. I was partially lying. Because my roommate is actually doing something romantic, it’s just that it was live and not on TV.

Am I not such a good daughter? Note the sarcasm.

“Oh. Okay.”

“I will talk to you later then.”

“Alright baby. Bye. I love you.”

“I love you too. Bye.” I hung the call up and glance over to the two fools. They were actually…okay, can’t say.

I walked over to the fridge and took out an orange and went over to the blender. I put the orange in the blender and added a little water before plugging it to the socket and turning it on. The noise filled the house.

“Who’s that?” I heard a voice asked. I didn’t even bother to turn around. “Hey, who are you?” She asked again. I still ignored her as I clenched the handle of the blander tightly.

“Hey, just let her be. She’s a nobody.” I heard him say. What? A nobody?

That made me turn to them, they were both staring at me. The girl was glaring at me while the idiot was smirking at me.

“A nobody? Really. Don’t you have any kind of respect for me? Or better still, this apartment?”

He shrugged. “Does it look like I do? Of course not.” He replied.

“Listen, I have no problem with you bringing your sluts in, but I do have a problem if you keep having se-x with them on the couch!” I turned off the blender. I was pissed.

“What? Slut? You are a bitc-h!” The girl yelled at me.

“Are you in the right position to call me that? Because clearly, it’s very obvious who the bitc-h is between you and I.”

“What?” She made her way towards me and started pulling my hair. I also did the same to her. And we both started pulling each other’s hair. My gla-sses were already coming off. No, no, no, if it does, I wouldn’t be able to see clearly and she might use that to her advantage.

We were suddenly pulled apart as someone wrapped their arms around my wa-ist and pulled me against them. I used that as an advantage to fix my gla-sses well. Oh no. I can’t breath well. I’m losing breath. Where is my inhaler? Shoot, it’s in the room.

“Enough!” The idiot said. Wait, his voice had sounded from behind me. I slowly turned and came face to face with him. Our faces were inches away from each other. He was also staring right back at me.

“Put her down! You were suppose to hold not her!” The girl said angrily.

“Just shut up. It’s not like you have any right to my business or life. I decide to hang out with whosoever I want. You are just a one time thing, no feelings attached. And you know, get the fu-ckout. Now!”

“What? Are you siding with her?” She asked as she pointed at me. I can’t also believe what’s going on right now.

“I. Said. Get. Out. And don’t ever show your ugly face again.”

I swear I could see tears in her eyes. I should be laughing at her right now but I felt sorry for her. He was still holding me by my wa-ist. My back was against his ch-est.

“Fine!” She yelled then glared at me before going over to the couch to snatch her top then left the house.

I just stood there like a pile of wood. I can’t believe what just happened. Minute ago, they were about to have se-x and minutes later, the girl and I started fighting and now she was gone. I can’t believe I can do something like that.

“ Are you okay?” He asked from behind me. That was when I realized that I was still breathing very fast and I was digging my nails against his arm that was wrapped around my wa-ist.

“Four eyes?” He called out.

I pulled away from him and left the kitchen, and disappeared into my room without sparing him a glance.

My life is just getting worst. And all in one day. Will I ever survive this place?

****

I made my way to the school. Finally, cla-sses is going to start today. I took in a de-ep breath as I dug my nails on my palm. This is it.

I walked into the building and walked over to the lady behind the desk at the entrance of the school. She glance up at me and smiled at me.

“And you are?” She questioned.

“Ella. Ella Anderson.” I replied with a smile across my li-ps. “I’m here to collect my schedule.” I informed her.

“Oh, yeah.” She handed it over to me.” But you will need a partner to share that with.”

“uh…”

Ella?” I heard my name from behind. Wait, who knows me here? I turned around and came face to face with Owens. What? What was he doing here?

“Owens?”

“Hey, what are you doing here? Wait, is this where you are schooling?” I nodded my head. “Wow. Same here. Oh my, I can’t believe you still remember my name.” He said as he grinned

“Neither can I. So you actually school here. What a small word.”

“I told ya. Never say never.” We both laughed. Whenever I was with Owens, I always felt save. He was like an angel sent to me by my mother to guide my path.

“Seems like you’ve gotten yourself a partner. You may go then. Have fun but don’t cause trouble.”

“We aren’t high schoolers. We know what to do.” Owens replied her rudely before dragging me with me to the hallway.

“That was rude.” I pointed out.

He shrugged. “What can I say? You look good.”

“Do I? or I look worse.”

He laughed over that. “Then what would you say about me?” I gave him a thumbs up. “Aww. I’m really happy to have you here.”

I gave him a weird look. “You realize that this is actually our second time in crossing path.” I reminded him.

“Should we call that fate? Or destiny.”

“Oh my god. You are crazy.” I chuckled.

We walked into the clas-swhere we are having our first subject which was English. Owens and I took a sit beside each other. The clas-sgradually got filled by students and that includes that idiot.

He walked pa-sses me and made his way to the back of the cla-ss. He was sitting down beside three guys. They did the men hug thing before sitting down . Wait, was I actually watching him? I quickly turned my face and faced the front of the cla-ss, reminding myself that the guy was still an idiot.

The teacher worked in and thought us for a while. I made sure to note down everything he had said.

“Hmm, you are really attentive.” Owens said, teasingly.

“What can I say?” That was my reply with a shrug. The day went on until it was time to have lunch.

“coming with me?” Owens asked as we got out of the cla-ssroom.

“To where?” I asked as straightened my shoulder bag and fixed my gla-sses well.

“To the cafeteria?”

Well, what’s the use of saying no? I’m even hungry right now. My stomach growled agreeing with me. Owens was smirking at me now. Like seriously, what is it with guys and smirking in this school?

“Sure.” We made our way to the school cafeteria. I sighted the idiot with a girl at the corner of the cafeteria, they were suc-king each other’s face. Tsk, what a jerk.

“What do you want?” Owens asked me.

“Pasta and smoothie.” I said.

“Okay.” We collected our food and walked over to a seat by the side of the window.

“let’s get to know each other more? What do you think?”

I clenched the spoon I was holding. The thought of letting people know about what or who caused my mother’s death scared me the most. Because I’m actually the cause of her death. TBC
