The next day at school
“Andrew”Ava called out to him
“Oh it’s you” he said whilst turning back at her
“How do you feel about the first day of December isn’t this morning just beautiful” she said
“I can’t see anything about this morning apart from snow” he said walking fas-ter
“ which cla-ss do you have first” she said trying to catch up with him
“ um Ava can we continue this conversation maybe like after school or not on school premises at least” he said immediately he sp-otted Owen and Jason snickering
Ava stood on the sp-ot awestruck before Amy came to her
“You and Andrew were talking like actually talking”
“I don’t wanna talk about it”
“You have to”
“I’ll tell you let’s get to cla-ss”
“Since when does cla-ss interest you”
“I have no idea I just want to get out of my head”
Is it that Andrew is ashamed to talk to me in public
Meanwhile
“When did you start talking to girls to be precise Ava Sharpé” Jason said
“Wait you know her ” Andrew replied
“Everyone does her aunt’s the principal” Jason said
“I bet he thinks she’s cute” Owen who was quiet finally said
“I think she’s annoying and besides our dads are just partners ” Andrew replied
“ just partners he says but he thinks something else” Jason said
“I think he’ll be the first to have a girlfriend ” Owen said
“So Jason better up your game for you know who ” Owen added
“I can’t I bet she thinks I don’t know she exists” Jason replied
“Anyway good luck with Ava” Jason said to Andrew

A week later
We came over to Andrew house again and the adults were having a discussion so we left
“Ava you kind of the only friend I have apart Owen and Jason” Andrew said
“Now I’m your Friend when were you going to Stop ignoring me ” Ava replied
“You can’t un-derstand Ava” he said
“What Can’t I un-derstand that you don’t want to be seen publicly with me” I replied
“Well you got it down it’s just that the only friends I’ve ever been seen with are Jason and Owen and I’m not used to being seen with a girl and I don’t want people to think there’s anything between us” he said
“Ok I guess” Ava said looking away
We avoided each other most of the time at school and we only talked when there was no one around
I got attached to him and my feelings were growing day by day but for his sake I didn’t say anything until one day
Our parents business was a success and they decided to throw a celebration at my house and they invited every single board member of the company
There was this girl Bryony she was from a rival school and she fli-rted with Andrew all night long and he didn’t even bother to look for me he was just all wrapped up in a corner with Bryony constantly trying to get his attention
I was furious at just the sight of it she even held Andrew hand but he just got up and cleaned his hand he sighted me finally and I scoffed
I walked up to my room in anger and he followed me
“Ava what’s wrong you’re clearly mad at me ” he said
“Well good for you to finally notice me” I replied
“Why are you angry I was just” he said
“You were just fli-rting with Bryony” I retorted cutting him Short
“I wasn’t and Even if I am why do you care ” he said
“Because I like you„„you idiot” I blurted out and covered my mouth instantly
What what had I done I just told Andrew I liked him”
“Ava what”he said
“I guess I’d better just say everything the cat out of the bag already”
“I like you Okay I have since and being with.. I just can’t do this am sorry ” I said and turned to leave but he held me
“You have to explain Ava” he said
“What do I need to explain I like you and you don’t like me I’m clearly so stupid” I replied
”Ava I don’t know what to say” he said
“You don’t have to say anything”i said trying to Leave but he ti-ghten his grip
“Just don’t go ” he said
“I can’t it’s my house” I replied
“I wasn’t fli-rting with Bryony ” he said
“I know I was just mad” I replied
“But can we talk about this” he said
“What’s there to talk about ” I replied
“I like you Ava but I don’t know how and it’s just” he said
I don’t what came over me but I suddenly kis-sed him right on his li-ps
When we detached from the kis-s I looked into his eyes
“I’m sorry Andrew I don’t know what..” I didn’t finish my statement before he kis-sed me we broke the kis-s and stared at each other
It was the most awkward moment
He spoke up first
“I’m seriously really dumb I don’t know what I feel and I don’t know how to date I’m just a loner who only has two friends” he said
“Well neither do I ” I replied and he laughed it was the first I’d actually seen him smile or laugh

A month or two later
Someone was accused of theft of the company shares and Both fathers pointed at each other
The partnership was relieved and Both families got into a strong feud
🤧Ava🤧
“You’re not allowed to see Andrew Dupont any longer ” my mom said
“Why Mom what happened” I replied
“Well the Company broke into a fight And other stuff you don’t need to know all you need to know is that you can’t be with Andrew any more” she said with stern eyes
“But mom ….” I said
“No objections Break up with him” she retorted
“I can’t I like him” I said
“You like him you prefer him over your parents” she told me
“I didn’t say that” I replied
“That’s what you mean” she said
“But it’s not our fault our dads broke into a fight or our fault that the company Lost all the shares” I replied
“Shut up Ava I’m your mother and you have to do what I say” she said
“You’re being too impulsive mom” I replied
“Ava Daisy Sharpé You’re grounded for a month and Amy is not allowed over” she said furiously
“Mom but” I replied
“Let’s make that three months ” she said
“Mom”
“Another word from you and it’s with dish duty ” she said
“Dish duty” I replied
“how bout I make it Four months without your cellphone ” she said
“I get it ” I replied and started to Lea
“Ava darling I only want the best for you you know I love you right” she said
“Yes Mom it’s just I really like Andrew and ..”i replied stopping in my tracks
“You have to choose Ava it’s either me or Andrew you can’t have both” she said cutting me short
“Mom you know I can’t choose” I replied
“Really”
“Fine it’s you ” I said guilt tripped
“Good girl now go up to your room I’ll consider ungrounding you” she said
“Yes Mom”
I like Andrew but I can’t possibly choose him over my own mother
“Ava” she called
“Mom”i said coming down the stairs
“I’ve arranged with your tutor and from now on you’ll be homeschooled”
“Homeschooled”i said forcing a convincing smiling

“How the hell does me and Ava’s relationship affect the company ”i screamed at my mom
“Andrew listen to me” she said
“You don’t even listen to me ” I replied
“Andrew I’ll relief as the heir to my company” my dad said
“Then do it I don’t even want to rely on daddy’s money to live I can make my own money” I retorted
“Andrew” my mom said
“Can’t you just afford to see something good in my life do I have to follow everything you say”I said
“Andrew you’re grounded” my dad screamed
“I don’t care besides I don’t have really anywhere to go I practically just stay locked up in this hell you call a house” I said walking up to my room
“Andrew come back here ”he screamed out to me

School next day
“Ava you’ve been ignoring me all morning what’s wrong” Andrew said
Ava took in a de-eper breath and answered
“Leave me alone Andrew” she said
“What Is it because of our parents you don’t have to care after all it doesn’t affect us ” he replied
“It does Andrew alot and I care even there my parents for goodness sake if you don’t care I do” she told him
“What are you trying to say Ava” he said
“I’m breaking up with you this relationship just can’t work it can’t even stand on solid ground anymore ”she said
“What Ava you can’t be seriously be breaking up with me” he said
Tears welled up in her eyes as she said
“Andrew just leave me alone I’m seriously breaking up with you ” she said
“You don’t mean it you can’t mean it Ava did your mom make you do this” he replied
“I do and she didn’t say anything it’s my decision ” she said
“Ava” he said
*Stay away from me Andrew” she said as a tear rolled down her cheek
She walked away and let herself finally Break down
Andrew stood on the sp-ot mesmerized
Owen and Jason came up to him
“Andrew what was that all about ” Owen spoke up first
“She broke up with me” he replied
“What” Jason said
“She did ” Andrew half yelled
“Maybe she didn’t mean it ” Jason said
“And what’s the possibility that she doesn’t” Andrew retorted
“Well I have no idea” Jason said
Close of school
“Ava what’s wrong you look pale ” Amy said
“I broke up with him” Ava said as her and Amy walked to the parking lot
“Why I thought you liked him” Amy replied
“I do seriously but my mom said it was either her or Andrew and I couldn’t possibly choose Andrew over my mom” Ava said
“I’m really sorry Ava” Amy replied
“And I’m grounded for four months and also going to be homeschooled from now on” Ava said
“Homeschooled why ” Amy replied
“My mom insisted and I don’t have a say ” Ava said
“You should try standing up for yourself” Amy replied
“Easy for you to say your parents don’t even notice you no offense” Ava said
“None taken I’m going to miss you so much ” Amy replied
“Same ” Ava said
“I don’t know what I’ll do without you Ava” Amy retorted
“Neither do I” Ava said and they had a brief hug and Ava walked to her car
“Ava can you please stop this strong girl stuff I can’t see you’re hurting it’s in your eyes” Amy said
“Bye Amy” Ava said ignoring Amy question
“Bye Ava” Amy replied
