” Mrs Moreno?” Godiva called leaving the bathroom. She met her mom’s unconscious body on the ground and she burst into laughter
” Wait, don’t tell me she fainted because she thinks those are real snakes?” She laughed again.
She didn’t bother to wake her mom.. instead she leaned on her door staring down at her mom
” Vespertine.. your mom just fainted, maybe you should help me and let’s take her to the hospital”
” Mom fainted? But why? They won’t even allow me have peace.. ” Vespertine grumbled before heading to Godiva’s room.
He twisted the door knob but the door wouldn’t open so he decided to go for the next option he could think of
He kicked the door with his leg knocking Godiva down and it opened..
His eyes fell on his mom who was still lying down unconscious and he exhaled, walking fully into the room
” What happened to her? ” He asked his gaze still on his mom
” You just knocked me down you a-sshair… Oh, God my wa-ist ” She groa-ned as she struggled to stand up
” I didn’t ask you to stay behind the door ” Vespertine shrugged
” I’ll kîll you later ” she gritted out
” Why’s mom unconscious ?” He asked
” Don’t know ” Godiva replied staring at the both of them
” I just finished eating now and I can’t carry anyone at the moment.. let’s just allow her sleep there for a while ” Vespertine walking towards Godiva’s bed when his eyes caught with her bed
” Jesus!!! Diva.. snakes!! ” he screamed and ran out..
Godiva couldn’t help but laugh out loud. She doesn’t even know how to laugh gently.
Vespertine barged back into her room with a big meat cleaver knife ready to kill the snakes
He was about cutting Godiva’s bed but she held his hands
” Are you crazy? Do you know how much I spent to buy this?” She shouted and that seemed to wake their mom up
” Wait you mean it’s a bedspread?” Vespertine asked, looking at the snake which looked like they were staring at him aiming for the right time to swallow him
” You know what Mom, I’m done in this house..”
” Why will you buy such a thing Diva?” Larina asked
” Because I love them ” She smiled and jumped on the bed
” Nooo!!! ” her mom screamed cause it seem to her as if her daughter was gonna get swallowed by the snakes
” You two can leave my room when you’re done..” Godiva said, staring at her phone paying no attention to her mom or her brother
” Ever since she got addicted to watching horror movies, I knew she was insane but I never for once thought it would be this serious ” Vespertine muttered, holding Larina as they both left her room

” I will pick this..” she said.
” Raphael? ” Exton asked and she nodded
” Still dating him? I thought you said you were gonna break up with him?” He asked but she didn’t say a word for few minutes
” I know and I will.. he’s kinda busy that’s why I haven’t had the chance to talk to him one on one..” she replied and Exton nodded
” Just know I’ll always be here for you..” he said and held her wa-ist

Raphael got the door only to see Cerlia smiling brightly at him
Oh, how he loved seeing her smile
” Hey.. ” she smiled and hug-ged him which he reciprocate to immediately.. he lifted her up in his arms swaying her around while she giggled softly
” You look even more beautiful today.. ” he said placing her gently on the couch
” I got you some groceries too ”
” I’ve told you to stop buying me things.. you got the job just a week ago and you’re already spending your money lavishly? it won’t last… ”
” I know, I just wanted to surprise you again today..” Cerlia pouted cutely which made him chuckle
” You’re cute..” he smiled and ki-ssed her pouted li-ps while she responded to it too. They ki-ssed pa-ssionately and it was getting tensed but she quickly broke the ki-ss
” Is everything alright?” Raphael asked, confused and she nodded..
” It’s Just that, you need to be at work by 5pm and it’s almost 5pm. I need to see my parents too” she replied
” Oh, How about we go together?” He asked but she smiled and ki-ssed him shortly
” Nah, I wouldn’t wanna stress you.. just know I love just you okay?” She said and stood on her feet.
” Alright then..” he replied standing too, he held her wa-ist as they walked out of the house.
” Bye babe.. ” she said and Walked her way down the street while he smiled to himself as he watch her leave
Raphael Weston, He’s a 25yrs old lad who works at a night club just to earn a living.
He lost his parents as a child in an accident and his grandparents weren’t the usual type of wealthy people so he had to work just to make ends meet but that only made him drop out of college since he couldn’t afford his tuition fee
Cerlia had been the only girlfriend he has and also has plans for . They’ve been together for two years now and everything seems to go well between them that he couldn’t trade his love for her for anything
Even though he was poor, he was still as handsome as ever. His eyes which sparkled like they were pairs of crushed diamonds would make anyone wanna get lost staring into the them
Cerlia had told him she found a job after years of going job hunting but she didn’t tell him the type of job she was into..
Anytime he brings up the conversation, she ends up brushing it off or just ignoring it and he wasn’t gonna talk about it anymore since she wasn’t ready for the conversation
He walked back into his room and got a hoodie from his wardrobe before leaving the house and walking the remaining distance to the club where he works

Loud music played in the background as Raphael served the customers..
Girls kept throwing him seductive stares and hitting on him as usual but being the decent guy he was, he didn’t even look at their side talk more of responding to them cos he had eyes only for one girl
CERLIA! He loved her to the moon and back.
” I can see Cerlia is the only thing on your mind, brain and head..” His friend, Arnold said
” Yeah, think all you want pepper..” Raphael said sitting closer to him.
Pepper was Arnold’s nickname since their high school cause he he talks alot
” So, Is Cerlia coming over?” Arnold asked
” I don’t think so.. ” he replied
” Sincerely dude, Cerlia isn’t the usual Cerlia we both know. She has changed alot…”
” And what do you mean by that?” Raphael asked already annoyed
” Yho yho, Cool down man, I’m just saying according to my observation.. she doesn’t come here often anymore and…
” That’s because she’s working now, she’s a busy lady. I wouldn’t want to have this conversation again Arnold ” Raphael said and stood up. He left Arnold and sat somewhere else
” I hope he sees what I’m trying to tell him on time…” Arnold sigh

Alston walked into the house and Larina walked up to him to collect his briefcase.
” Welcome ” she said and ki-ssed her husband
” Welcome dad ” Vespertine greeted
” What are you doing here? You should….
” I can’t I be at my dad’s house anymore?” Vespertine asked
” Hell no boy, You know what I’m talking about so don’t get it twisted..” Alston said which made him laugh
His parents were dramatic too but his sister was more of the drama lord
” I couldn’t stay there anymore.. she bought new snakes ”
” Huh? ”
” You can ask mom, she fainted earlier ” Vespertine replied
” My baby girl got a snake as a pet?” Alston asked
” Not that, her bedspread contains snakes ” Larina replied and Alston chuckled, taking the stairs to his room
” You’re not gonna say anything about it?” Vespertine shouted after him
” She’s an adult, she knows what she’s doing..” Alston replied walking fully into his room

” Should I go to work tomorrow? ” She asked herself throwing her legs in the air
She had been contemplating whether to go or not for a while now
She hissed loudly when she heard her phone ring
” This number looks familiar..”
She stared at for phone for a while before picking it up then she realized it was Davis
? Hey beauty.. Davis smiled from his end
? Have something to say? She asked
? Nah, Just wanted to hear your voice.. Davis said but she ended the call before he could speak further
” That a-sshole.. just wanted to hear your voice..” she mimicked before bursting into laughter
She switched off her phone and threw it randomly across the room before going und-er her blanket

Raphael walked down the street in the dark night with his hands in his big hoodie
He brou-ght out his slightly cracked phone and decided to call Cerlia since he was missing her badly
He couldn’t check up on her cos it was late already and he was tired from stress so he decided to call her instead

Cerlia was about picking up her call when she heard the door bell but she had to pick up when she noticed it was Raphael
? Hey baby.. She said walking to get the door
? How are you? I miss you.. Raphael said
? I miss you too…. badly!!
She opened the door revealing Exton who captured her li-ps immediately
? I’m not busy tomorrow, so I’ll spend some time with you Okay? Raphael said but got no response since she was already in a hot make out session with Exton
? Hey, are you there? He asked and Cerlia broke the ki-ss
? yeah, goodnight, I’m feeling sleepy already.. see you tomorrow.. She said and ended the call before he could speak further.
She smiled at Exton before ki-ssing him as they both head to her bedroom without breaking the ki-ss
