I sat in the backseat of the car, smiling to myself. I was feeling happy for no reason, well, actually there IS a reason.
My birthday is coming up next week and I’m super excited. It’s going to be my first birthday with Hyuna, my first birthday that I’ll get to spend with the love of my life.
I have a feeling that this birthday is going to be different from all the others I’ve had.
I turned to Sihyeon who was seated beside me in the car
“Sihyeon, do you know that my birthday is next week?” I mused and she giggled
“Of course I know, everyone in this country knows. Your fans are already going crazy on social media. The hashtag for the day is going to be : ‘Happy Baekhyun Day’. It’s quite catchy” she replied and I beamed
“I can’t wait. I also can’t wait to open your gift” I tea-sed, wiggling my eyebrows at her and she laughed again
“Well, you’ll just have to wait until your birthday to open it” she mouthed and I shrugged
“Sure, I can definitely wait”
The driver took a corner that leads to Gangnam province. Bobby still hasn’t been discharged from the hospital so we had to hire a substitute driver and bo-dyguard to fill in for him until he’s discharged
We drove past Wubeat building, the place Hyuna lives and a smile formed on my face. I remembered all the times I came there to see her and the moments we spent together in her apa-rtment. I sighed dreamily, I was completely lost in the euphoria of love until I heard loud screams.
I snapped out of my oblivion and looked ahead. We were now slowly p-ulling up to JP building, I sighed when I saw about 500 persons gathered in front of JP, right across the street
“br@ce yourselves people, Baekhyun are you going to greet them?” The driver asked and I sighed again
“Yeah, I just nee-d a minute” I replied as we pulled over. The crowd tried coming to the car but there was a steel barricade holding them back
Sihyeon and the driver stepped out of the car before I did. The moment I alighted; their screams increa-sed and they began jumping, raising their hands and yelling words at the same time. Some of them were holding up banners with messages written on them;

📃”Be Safe, Oppa!” 📃
I walked over to them and stood a safe distance away from the barricade. They kept reaching out to tou-chme, I noticed a pa-rticular girl with a very strange but enchanting colour of hair. I had never seen the color before, it was beautiful!
Two girls reached out to me, one handed me a colorful bouquet of flowers and the second handed me a flower crown.
“Thank you, they’re beautiful!” I smiled at them and they held each other and squealed. I placed the flower crown on my head so I could accept another gift from the girl with the beautiful hair
She handed me a plush, white Teddy with ‘I Love You’ embe-dded on it’s tummy
“Awwwwn thank you, i love it” I beamed and she smiled at me, she uttered something but I couldn’t hear her because of the noise the others were making so I leaned in closer
“I hope your bo-dyguard’s okay…?” she yelled to me
“Yes he is, he’s doing just fine. I love your hair by the way! It’s stunning!” I yelled back to her and she squealed
“Thank youuu!” she purred and I waved at them before walking back to Sihyeon so we could go inside the building
🕒 20 MINUTES LATER 🕒
I walked into the board room and my eyes wide-ned slightly when I saw Jessi and THE VORTEX members already seated
“Whoa, you’re all so early today. How come?” I said to them as I pulled Taeyang’s ear before taking the vacant seat beside him which I know he reserved for me
“Oh, we’re not early, you’re the one who’s late” Taeyang replied, slapping my thi-gh and I laughed.
The door swung open and Mia catwalked in, beaming with smiles. She was clutching an iPad to her che-st and she had dyed her hair to a lighter shade of purple.
“Good Afternoon everyone, how are you all doing on such a beautiful day?” She greeted jovially and we all mumbled our replies, she smiled at me and I smiled back
“So before we begin this meeting, I would like you all to welcome the last group that will be joining us today. Say hello to BLACK VELVET everyone!” She announced as the door swung open again and all 5 members of BLACK VELVET sashayed in before standing in one single straight file.
We all g@sped and sprang to our feet
“Hello everyone, we are BLACK VELVET!” they greeted in unison and bowed.
“Hi, I’m Jackson and I love you!” Jackson g@sped out and we all laughed.
“I’ll give you guys some time to get to know each other” Mia mouthed as we walked up to the girls and began exchanging pleasantries
They were all so beautiful and looked exactly the way they did in their music video. They were also very polite and humble and couldn’t seem to stop smiling
We were all happy to meet them, even Jessi, I even got to hu-g one of them 😊
🕑 10 MINUTES LATER 🕑
“Okay, so this meeting has officially begun” Mia announced after we had all settled and quieted down
“Now, as you all know; JP Entertainment is going to be celebr@ting her 20th anniversary this Friday” Mia uttered and we all applauded
“Yes, it’s a very big deal. 20 years is not a child’s pla-y which is why we nee-d to have a very grand celebr@tion to commemorate this special occasion. I came up with a few ideas with my dad but the one we chose is a super, mega, concert!” she said before tapping a bu-tton on her iPad and the flat screen TV behind her lit up displa-ying;
“JP FAMILY CONCERT”
We all shared glances before turning back to Mia
“What’s a JP family concert? And who are the members of the family?” I asked
“Well duhh! You guys are JP family! Isn’t it obvious?” Mia replied while gesticulating
“Ohh okay, now I get it. You want us to have a concert at the same time and on the same day to celebr@te JP.E’s 20th anniversary” Jessi mouthed and Mia beamed at her
“Yess! You are one smart cookie!” Mia praised and Jessi fl-ipped her hair proudly. I rolled my eyes at her before clearing my throat
“Umm Mia…… err… I mean CEO Mia. It sounds like a really great idea but it’s gonna be very expensive to do. You have to tell people about it which means you have to pay for adverts, you also have to rent a very spacious venue like a stadium and finally, you would have to print souvenirs like t-shirts, gift packs and so on” I expounded while Mia kept nodding
“I’m very aware of all that and I’m on top of it. As we speak; tickets, t-shirts and other customized souvenirs are being printed. I have also rented the Olympic stadium here in Seoul. Everything is being taken care of all you guys have to do is warm up your voices and start rehearsing for the big day” she uttered and we made sounds of surprise and excitement
I was also very excited, I’ve missed performing at a concert. The feeling you get when you’re standing high up on the stage, looking at the adoring fans screaming and calling out to you is amazing.
Every artiste can relate to that feeling. Although it’s natural to get nervous and feel kinda sick before going up, but once you get up on stage; all that nervousness just…… disappears
🕑 ONE HOUR LATER 🕑
“Are you excited about the concert?” Taeyang asked me in between mouthfuls of spicy noodles.
“Yeah, I’m excited and nervous at the same time” I replied before taking a sip from my soda and he chuckled
“Do you remember how you threw up on your first ever concert?” he asked and I cringed
“Dude stop that! We’re eating” I frowned and he laughed again.
“But I just think………”
The sound of my phone ringing cut him off. I gra-bbe-d it and my eyes beamed when I saw Hyuna’s name. Taeyang opened his mouth to continue talking
“Sssh! Shut up, stop talking, Hyuna’s calling me” I rasped out at him before swiping to the ‘receive’ end
📱”Hey, Babe!”
📲 “How is the soon-to-be birthday boy doing today?” She asked and I chuckled
📱”I’m great, and how is the queen of my heart doing today?”
📲 “I’m okay but I miss you so much!” she cooed and I smiled
📱”I miss you too, Babe. But I have awesome news”
📲 “Really? Well tell me!” she cried and I chuckled
Taeyang was making funny faces at me so I gra-bbe-d my empty can of soda and threw it at him before standing and walking farther away from him
📱”We’re going to have a JP family concert” I announced and I heard her g@sp
📲”Oh my gosh, that’s so amazing! when is it?”
📱”Umm well I’m sorry, Babe but it’s this Friday so you won’t be able to attend cause you’re not coming back till next week” I muttered and I heard her sigh
📲 “There’s something I nee-d to tell you” she mouthed and I frowned slightly
📱”What is it?”
📲 “Umm, well……I err….. I’m not coming back next week. I’m staying here for 2 months”
📱”Huh??”
