Episode 68
“This the right time Gem! Make him yours before it’s late,” she said to herself as she swirled around and stare at herself in the mirror.
” If he keeps prolonging his stay here then I have to make sure we spend quality time together and we can only do that if I pack back to his house fully.
If Nadine thinks she can take Lorenzo away from me because of their son then I have to make sure I get pregnant for him by all means just to keep him to myself, I have to create a distraction to stop whatever communication he has with Nadine, ” she said to herself. Remembering what Tessa told her in the office earlier was eating her up already.
**” Quit it Gemma isn’t it obvious to you that Sir Ethan who is now Lorenzo doesn’t love you. He’s starting to consider Nadine and his son. I overheard his conversation with Mr. Marcel so you are at the losing side,” she said to her.***

” Am not at the losing side because am certain Lorenzo loves me and he can’t resist me ,” she smirked then picked up her bag and left.

°°°Early that morning…????✨
Nadine made a call and it was pick by Tessa, Lorenzo’s secretary.
???? “.. maybe you can drop his direct contact so I can communicate with him,” Nadine suggested.
She felt disappointed it wasn’t Lorenzo that picked the call. Thou it was the office line she got and not Lorenzo real contact.
???? I will deliver the message to him once he comes, what is it? Tessa asked.
???? “Just sent me the contact please, i guess this should be private,” Nadine insisted.
????”Okay if you say so, but don’t you think you are trying to get into him knowing that he has a girlfriend already,” Tessa said with a smirked.
????Excuse me! I guess you don’t know anything and I will advice you to keep it cool,” Nadine said as she hang up.

” Did he picked? Eric asked anxiously.
“I don’t have his contact Eric. You have me and your grandparents around and even Miguel and Ca-ssie will be there with Lily and Sharon so what else do you need? Nadine asked frustrated, since morning Eric has been disturbing her to call his dad.
“But you promised me he will come,” Eric said with a frown while Nadine sighed.
Just then a message pop into her screen and it was from Tessa.
“She just sent me his personal contact,” Nadine said while Eric heaved a sigh of relief.
Nadine quickly dailed the number and was expecting to hear Lorenzo’s voice but it was the other way round.
???? ” Lorenzo.. Eric wants to talk to you,” Nadine said trying to give Eric the phone but stopped half way when she heard a female voice.
???? “Still desperate right! I guess this must be Nadine,”Gemma said
???? “I want to speak to Lorenzo..,” Nadine said.
????” Lorenzo is busy with more important things than you and your son. You can’t take him away from me all in the name of that child you claimed it’s for him. Just stay away from Lorenzo Nadine because he loves me alone!
???? “No one is gonna take Lorenzo from you but if he choose us over you then it definitely not our fault because he still loves us and that’s exactly what’s happening. Stop forcing things to happen! Nadine spoke back angrily as she hanged up the call.

“Is dad really coming? Eric asked with a cracking voice, his eyes was already filled with tears.
“Sure sweetheart. Dad will definitely come,” Nadine quickly said, seeing the look on Eric’s face seems like his day will get ruin if Lorenzo didn’t show up.
“Really? Eric asked as his mood changed while Nadine nodded feeling guilty because she knows Lorenzo wouldn’t even showed up but if telling him that will cheer him up then so be it.
“Dad is coming! am happy to hear that. Thanks Mom,” Eric smiled happily while Nadine nodded.

Gemma quickly deleted the number that just called before Lorenzo will come.
She arrived to his house that morning and headed straight to the bedroom, he wasn’t there but in the bathroom when Nadine’s call pop up and she picked the call.
“Such guts! Am never gonna let Lorenzo sli-p away from me,” she smirked.
Immediately a message pop in from Dr. Franco and she quickly open it and go throu-ghtheir previous chats.
???? Dr. Franco: consider it done and I hope it turn out positive so you can be with your family again.
???? Lorenzo: I hope so.. I just want to be part of my son’s life
Gemma look so tensed reading it as she scrolled down to read the recent message he just sent this morning.
????Dr. Franco: the results is out. I will bring it to you personally in the evening.
Just then a call came in and Gemma picked the call seeing is from Dr. Franco. She stood up and head outside before answering the call.
????This isn’t Lorenzo but his girlfriend Gemma and I want you to temper with the results. If it positive then I want it negative,” she said.
???? Excuse me! I don’t do that and Mr Lorenzo trust me so much..
???? That’s the case.. he trust you so much and he will definitely believe the result from you. You’ve been his doctor for a long time already and if you really want your job then do it Franco. It’s just a simple request am asking,” she threaten.
????” Okay ma,” Franco response before hanging up the call.
Gemma quickly deleted the contact in the call log and the message then walk back to the room and quickly kept the phone back on the stand.
“Gem! Lorenzo was surprised when he saw her on his bed, he wasn’t expecting her early that morning.
“A surprise visit babe. I missed you and this time I want us to stay together so we can bond well,” she smile seductively as she stood up and catwalk to him, she was putting on a revealing se-xy nightie.
“It’s been long we have time together, you are always busy.. work is keeping you away from me, including your ex,” she pout as she caress her fingers on his bare chest giving him a puppy look. Staring at him intently she felt lucky having such a perfect and handsome man all to herself..
“Am I not enough for you? She whispers to his ears.
“Am sorry Gemma but I have a lot of things running in my head,” Lorenzo said trying to resist her as he removed her hand from his chest and walked to his wardrobe.
“Lorenzo! Gemma quickly hug-ged him from behind.
” What now! Are you indirectly rejecting me? Gemma asked angrily .
“Am all yours Enzo and I need you.. Don’t you think this the right time? She asked with tears glistening in her eyes.
“I don’t want to end up hurting you Gemma. You deserve the best from the best..
“But you are that best I need! She yelled back in tears.
” I love you Lorenzo.. I really do,” she whispers.
” And that’s the reason I don’t want us to rush things Gemma,” he said then walked pas-sher as he walked out of the room leaving her in tears.
“Did he just turned me down,” she frown as she wiped her tears.
” If it was Nadine will he actually do the same? She thought.
“Am not letting you go Lorenzo, not when you’re mine already,” she said to herself.

Lorenzo sat down in his office as he draft out his plans for the week.
“I’ve overstayed my welcome here in Manila but it seems like a lot of things are piling up,” he thought as his mind drifted back to what happened earlier. He Wondered what Gemma really meant by what she was trying to do. Having doubt about his love for her was something he don’t even know how to tell her, she’s hurt already! And seeing Nadine and his son was something he couldn’t just ignore.
“Sir.. ,”
Tessa called jolting him out of his thought.
“What is it Tessa? He asked
” Nadine called the office line this morning and requested to speak to you so I gave her your personal contact hope that’s okay with you,” she said.
” Did she mention to you what she want? Lorenzo asked surprised to hear that Nadine try to reach out to him must be something serious.
“No! She said it’s personal and will like to tell you that alone,” Tessa said.
” It’s okay.. I will try to call her,” he said when a call pop into his phone.
” It’s officer Sam, it time to get Leonard,” He said as he stood up and walk out before picking the call.

“It’s so beautiful here,” Sharon giggle as she release Ca-ssie’s hand and ran to meet her friends.
“Careful Sharon! Ca-ssie said but before she could even finish saying that the little girl had already ran away while Miguel Chuckle.
“She’s so dramatic,” Lily rolled her eyes as she stare at the people around.
“I think I will go to Eric over there,” Lily said as she run to where he was with his friends.
“They’re all excited,” Nadine smiled.
“It’s there big day and am glad we all came to celebrate with them, we won’t allow work to stop us from celebrating this big day with our kids,” Miguel said while Nadine nodded.
” But if Eric get to know Lorenzo isn’t coming am sure he will flare up and cry and that will ruin his day,” Nadine said.
” And won’t his father really come? Ca-ssie asked.
” I tried reaching out to him this morning but it was his girlfriend that picked and even warn me to stay away from him. Lorenzo have moved on already, he doesn’t even care about us,” Nadine said sadly.
” Am sure he will definitely come around Nadine. Lorenzo survived that fire incident because of you and Eric, he’s alive today because he has a family to hold unto and to come back to. Lorenzo will be back because he still loves you and no one can resist the whole Nadine Montes.. my beauty goddess and not even that Ethan or Lorenzo,” Miguel said as he pulled Nadine to a hug while she smile.
Miguel knows exactly how to cheer her up in her sad moments, having a brother like him was something she will never trade for anything.
“Awwnn.. am getting jealous already. Am your wife I should be your beauty goddess and not your sister,” Ca-ssie said dramatically while they all laughed.
” Leonard doesn’t actually knows what he have and now that he has lose it he will realize your value but it will be to late for him.. so relax your mind Nadine,” he said.
” Thanks Miguel.. ,” Nadine smiled.

“My parents are here already and my dad came with the gift he promised me” Kyle said to Eric so excited.
” My whole family are here too, including my grandma and pa. So it’s a full house and it will be so much fun,” Eric said while Tommy laughed.
” Despite taking the first and having good grade I don’t think your dad is here.. as usual,” Tommy laughed mockingly while Eric frown.
” He’s on his way coming, am sure of that,” Eric said confidentially.
” Or maybe he isn’t gonna come at all. Just admit it Eric your dad is Mr. Leonard just as everyone knows before and he’s an abusive man .. my mom told me everything about that and why your mom separate with him so you don’t have any father aside from that wicked man you call your father. Your mom is just lying to you,” Kyle said while Eric wanted to hit him but Tommy held him back and pushed him to the ground.
“That’s who you are a loser just like your dad and mom,” Kyle said with a smirked as they walked away with Tommy.
Eric fold his fist in anger as he watch them leave.
“Just get up Eric… Don’t let them ruin your day,” Lily said as she helped him stood up..
” my Dad is definitely coming! you’re right Lily. Mummy say I shouldn’t let anything or anyone ruin my day. Don’t tell Mom about this I know how to deal with them once dad is here” Eric said..

The ceremony commence???? Immediately and everyone was in attendance..
It started with the speech from the principal down to the best student of each cla-ss..
When it was Eric turn, he went up the stage confidently and start.. He looked at his mom and his family and saw how cheerful they were, they must be so proud of him.
“Hardwork never kills but pays! that’s what grandpa use to tell me. And my beloved mom always tell me to believe in myself and look beyond impossibilities, she has been my mentor, strength and my love. I had to work this ha-rd to make my family proud and I want to appreciate Uncle Miguel, aunt Ca-ssie and my niece Lily and Sharon for their support. I love you all and this special thanks goes to my daddy even thou he hasn’t been part of our lives I know he will be so proud of me someday. I love you all,” Eric said while there was a loud clapping ovation.
Nadine was the first to stand up as she clapped for Eric with her eyes clouded with tears she quickly rushed to the stage to welcome him.
“You did so well Eric. This really the champion am raising,” Nadine hug-ged him.
” Where’s daddy? The ceremony will soon be over and he isn’t here. I was thinking he will come before the start the sharing of prize,” Eric asked.
” He’ll definitely come Eric, I guess it’s traffic holding him,”Nadine whispers to him while he nodded then walked back to his seat.

Few minutes Later Eric was called on staged for his prize and award presentation.
Nadine, Miguel and Mr Josie went up to the stage with Eric to receive the award and afterwards snapped a lot of pictures..

“Congratulations Eric,” Ca-ssie giggle as she pinch his cheeks softly but that only make him frown the more.
“You don’t really look so happy.. can you atleast smile,” Ca-ssie said while Eric blink back the tears in his eyes.
“Oh.. my little boy Eric What’s the matter? Julianna asked.
“Mom lied to me,” he let out his tears.
“She said dad will come! the celebration is almost over and he isn’t here,”
” Oh… Sorry about that Eric,” Ca-ssie squat to the level of his height and wipe his tears.
” A young man like you shouldn’t cry. Isn’t it enough your mom is here, I mean we all are here to celebrate you,” she said.
” But if he’s really my father as mom said then he should have atleast come,” Eric yelled in anger.

” Congratulations Miss Nadine,” Eric teacher Mrs Sarah said to her.
” Your son had the best performance, he did so well,” she smiled.
” Am so proud of him,” Nadine smile.
” I was scared he wouldn’t perform well after the whole saga that happened especially when he was taken away here in the school by your ex husband. Despite all that happened he didn’t let it get to him to affect his studies, he’s really strong indeed but he’s still a child please make sure you give him all the attention he need in order not to get traumatized with the situation around. Am his teacher and atimes he thinks too much in the clas-sand get into a fight with his mates concerning all the saga that has been happening but I’ve always been there to make sure no one mock him about not having a father ,” Mrs Sarah said.
” But Eric has never tell me that and who are those kids frustrating my son? Nadine asked with a straight face.
“I hope it won’t cause trouble Ma’am,”
“Just tell me Mrs. Sarah. I won’t allow anyone to bully my son,” Nadine snapped.
” It’s Kyle and Tommy his cla-ssmates,” Mrs Sarah.
“This the right time to address them and am sure there parents are here so take me to them,” Nadine said while Sarah nodded and take her to where Kyle was with his parents.
“You are Kyle right! Nadine said as she stood facing him
” This should be the last time I hear that you bully my son or talk ill of him and if you prove stubborn and dare try to do that I will make sure you’re out of this school,” Nadine said sternly as she turn to his parents.
” Give your son a proper training and warn him to stay away from my son or else.. you’ll be at the losing end,” Nadine snapped while Kyle looked at her with fear written all over him.
“Or maybe you should warn your son to stay away from mine,” Kyle’s mother barked but ended up receiving a slap from Nadine.
“Huh! Kyle gasped as she watched his mother being slapped, he quickly hide behind his father.
“Can you just calm down and let’s talk! Kyle’s father snapped.
” Not when it comes to my son! I don’t joke with it,” Nadine said sternly.
” Is it really true Kyle? His dad asked while Kyle nodded in fear.
“Am sorry dad. It’s.. it mom that tells me all that about his family,” Kyle said in fear.
“You know nothing about my family and if you keep spreading rumors even to your little boy just to torment my son then you’re wrong this time and i can sue you for this,” Nadine snapped at the woman.
” We are really sorry about this Mrs Nadine. I will talk to Kyle about this,” his dad apologize on their behalf while Nadine walked away.
“Is that what you do in school Kyle.. Till we meet at home then and you.. I’ve warn you times without number to stop spreading rumours that is not even your concern,” Kyle’s dad said to the mother in anger.
” We’ve just received the worst embarra-ssment of our lives all because of your stupidity,” he yelled as he walked back to his car.
” Mo..mmy,” Kyle burst into tears as he hug his mom.

“Eric…,” Nadine walk back to them but surprised to see him in tears.
“You lied to me mom I thought I can always trust you,”
” So where is my dad now? Eric asked asked angrily.
” Am sorry Son but he can’t make it today.. ,” she said as she moved close to hold him but Eric step backward.
“You all are liars! He yelled as he ran away in anger.
