” Did you suddenly became dumb?” Mrs Zhan asked walking towards her while she shifted back
” I…. ” She wanted to talk but it seems her voice failed her that moment..
She looked up in fright and Mrs zhan burst into laughter, confusing her
” I gat you..” she said laughing but Violet didn’t find it funny, she just let out a tight smile
” Mom, you….. Violet you’re here!!” Mujin appeared
” Is everything okay?” He asked and held her hands but she removed her hands from his
” Scared of me now?” He asked, going to a seat, leaving her there
” You shouldn’t be like this, I hate it..” Mrs zhan said, pulling her back to the counter
” Ma’am.. ” Violet called
” Hmm..” She hummed a reply
” Is mujin really your son?” She asked gathering all the courage in her while and Mrs Zhan nodded
” Yeah, Is that all you heard? Anything else?” She asked but Violet shook her head in denial
” I didn’t hear anything.. ” she replied
” We’ll see about that ” Mrs Zhan thought, smiling broadly
” Why didn’t you tell me mujin is your son? Why has he been behaving like an employee ever since I started working here? I’ve never seen him talk to you like a son”
” Because you didn’t wanna see it…” Mrs Zhan smiled and this only made Violet even more suspicious of her
” Oh!” Violet let out another tight smile
” I thought you said you weren’t gonna come because of your exams which is gonna be starting tomorrow?”
” I….. she trailed off
” You?” Mrs Zhan trailed off too
” I miss you that’s why I came “.. Violet said though she didn’t know what to say at that moment.. truly she missed her boss but she’s somehow very scared of her right now
‘ What is her secret? What type of woman is she?’ she wondered
” Silly thing..” Mrs Zhan pulled her cheeks gently. Violet not knowing what to do, just smiled at her
” Good luck with your exams tomorrow..” Mujin said while she nodded and immediately customers trooped in
Violet helped mujin attend to the customers but her mind was very far
‘ who really was her boss’ was the only thoughts running throu-ghher mind
She glanced at mujin then at Mrs Zhan but they behave like they didn’t even know each other
” She’s really your mom?” She asked and Mujin nodded, as he took orders
” Then why do you both behave like strangers when I first came and even untill now?” She asked
” That’s because she doesn’t like bringing family issues to work..” Mujin replied, handing the cup of mocha to a costumer who left afterwards
” Then why is she nice to me?”
” She’s nice to everyone..” he replied
” But….
” Let’s stop with the interrogation okay?” mujin cut her off and slowly, she nodded, asking no further questions

Violet stretched, taking off her apron since she was done for the day
” I’m going out with Ryan today, see you after the exams..” she told Mrs Zhan
” Alright.. bye ..” Mrs Zhan replied and she nodded before exiting the cafe
” She’s strange.. just bye? Is she mad at me?” She wondered, walking down the street to her home

Remy left his room to the sitting room , taking his car keys from the table
He was going to clear his head. He was tired of everything that was happening. His dad’s greed is making him real mad and he feels like strangling him
” Going somewhere??” Fargo asked from the door
” Hmm.. I need fresh air, it’s feel stuffy in here and I need to clear my head “.. he replied and walked out of the house
” His family’s problem is disturbing” Reece sighed
” Hopes he feels better” Justin inhaled

Claire stared at her car then at her power bike. ” Which will be more fun to ride on?” She asked no one in particular
She has been indoor for a while so she decided get some ice cream.
” You should go with the power bike, it’ll be cool..” she heard someone reply from behind.. she tilted her head to the direction only to see Ryan.
He just alighted from his car
” Ryan?” She called surprised. “Wait, why didn’t I hear the sound of your car when you drove in?” She found herself asking
” That’s because I’ve been here for ten minutes now..” he replied
” Anyway thanks ” she wore her helmet before mounting the bike. She did a little bow which he responded to before driving off
” I’m surely gonna have good luck today since Ryan spoke to me..” Claire laughed as she drove down the street
Ryan proceeded his way to his hostel
” What will I be wearing?” He asked, going throu-ghthe clothes in his wardrobe

Violet kept searching throu-ghher wardrobe, looking for something to wear when Jeffrey walked into her room
” Looking for something?” He asked and she flinch
” Gosh, Jeff you startled me..” she said
” I’m sorry..” he apologized and she made him seat on her bed
” Is this one good?” She asked, showing him the blue gown with her
” Are you going on a date?” He asked
” Something like that..” she replied then she remembered her conversation with Yixuan
” Wait, you haven’t told me something..” she folded her hands
” Seriously? Are we even friends?” She asked again
” I should be asking you that.. you haven’t even told me if you’re dating Ryan yet..” Jeffrey replied
” Oh! ” She exclaimed
” It’s obvious but yours isn’t.. how can you be in a relationship with Yixuan and not tell me? ” She asked and he smiled
” Wow, you’re even smiling..” she laughed
” I’m glad you both are a thing now..” she said and and he nodded
” Is this one good?” She resume showing him the clothes
” They’re all okay, you look good in whatever you wear..” he replied and she smiled
” I’ll be going somewhere with Ryan, so you’ll have to go to the restaurant alone..” she said
” I quit already..” he replied
” You did? I think I need to quit too”.. she sighed sitting next to him
” Is something wrong?” Jeffrey asked after seeing her change of mood
” It’s my boss Mrs Zhan, she looked scary a while ago.. can you believe mujin is her son?”
” What? Really? Why didn’t they say it all this while? ” He asked
” No idea.. I’m so very scared of her right now ” she replied
” Just be careful around her and stop telling her things from now on..” Jeffrey said and she nodded. She checked the time and discovered it was past 5pm already
” I need to rest now, Ryan will be here by 6:30pm” she told him and he nodded.
He stood up and pull her into a hug
” Have a nice date ” he whispered before disengaging from the hug and walking out of her room..
Violet’s mind drifted to the drama with her boss and she sighed falling on her bed.

” Thanks ” Claire smiled as she paid for the ice cream she bought
She left the shop and mounted her bike which she parked outside and started driving off.
She was in a high speed when she saw a vehicle coming towards her.. her eyes wide-ned as she tried dodging the car but ended up falling and bruising her arms
” Ouch..” she wince, standing up
Remy’s car came to a rou-ghhalt and he bit his li-ps in the process such that it started bleeding
” Who is the motherFuc-ker who wants to kill me?” He muttered leaving his car only to see Claire who had a frown on though She wasn’t staring at his direction yet
” Are you bl.. she couldn’t complete her statement when she saw it was Remy
” Claire? ” He called surprised, she tried hiding her bruised arm but he already saw it
” What were you thinking? You have a death wish?” He asked and she shook her head
He stared at her bruised arm again and sighed
” Come with me ”
He held her hands and pulled her to the direction of his car. He made her seat at the entrance before getting his first aid kits.
” I’m fine..” she said but he ignored her and started applying the ointment on her wounds..
” Ouch!! ” She winced as soon as he applied the antiseptic
” Sorry ” he said
She kept staring at him while he did his job.. she was lost staring at his serious face
The guy infront of her was totally breathtaking
” Are you okay?” He looked up only to see her looking down at him
He didn’t bother to look away too. he remembered the scene at the restroom when she was in his arm.. he quickly shook his head and looked away
” I’m done..” he said and that brou-ght back her senses..
” Th… thanks” she said absentmindedly
” It’s fine ” he replied
” Your li-ps, it’s bursted..” she said
” I’ll be okay..” he replied
” You have to get it treated else it’ll get infected ” she said
” Its…
” I’ll help you with it ” she said and got the cotton before he could even turn her down
She started using the wool to wipe out the blood on his li-ps and the slight cut on his cheek..
she drew her face closer and began blowing air on his cuts softly.
His eyes fell on her pouted li-ps as it blew out the air. He balled his fist tightly as she did that
He suddenly turned his face sideways and their li-ps met. Her eyes wide-ned and she quickly pushed him off, leaving his car to where her bike was
” I’m sorry, I.. ” he shouted from behind but she already mounted her bike and speeding off cr@zily
” Easy.. you shouldn’t meet with an accident..” he shouted behind her even though she was far away from him now
” What did you just do Remy? Are you nuts?” He asked himself

Ryan alighted from the car and went to get the door for Violet. She stepped down from the car and at the restaurant in front of them
” Why are we here?” She asked but he just ignored and stretch forth his hands
” Shall we?” He asked and she chuckled softly before placing her hands in his and they both walked into the restaurant
Their table was set already with decorations on it which made her blus-h. He drew out a seat for her and she sat while he sat too
” How did you know all this?” She asked staring at him
” Just wanted to be more romantic..” he replied and she laughed lowly
” You’re really cute..” she said and the waitress appeared with a cake and flower.
The waitress dropped the cake and handed her the flower
” Thanks..” she said to the waitress and she left.
She turned to Ryan . ” Are you celebrating something? your birthday?” She asked. She couldn’t stop blus-hing while Ryan cleared his throat.
” Be my girlfriend Violet..” he said aloud and she blinked.
” But I’m your girlfriend already..” she whispered, staring around. People were already looking at them
” That wasn’t official.. he replied and her eyes scanned the restaurant again only to see people staring at her intensely and slowly, she nodded her head
” I’ll be your girlfriend Ryan” she smiled and he immediately walked up to her and pulled her into a hug
” People are watching !!” She said but he ignored her
” I love you Violet..” he said and she smiled
” I love you too Ryan..” she replied and he ki-ssed her as soon as those words left her mouth
Mara made to enter the restaurant and the first thing she saw was them ki-ssing since the restaurant was made of glas-s
” They’re dating for real?” She asked as water gathered in her eyes
” I thought dad said he was gonna do something about this?” She balled her fist watching them as they ki-ss
It’s been almost a year now, why can’t he just love her instead? Was she not pretty enough? She wondered, fighting back her tears
” I shouldn’t cry because of a lowlife, I need to make her know her place”
” Ma’am, aren’t you going in again?” Her driver asked but his words only pissed her off and she ended up landing him a slap
She got into the car and brou-ght out her phone
? I can’t take it anymore.. just do the job when she’s alone. You mustn’t tell Dad…
She ended the call and drove out off leaving her driver behind
” Let’s see how it’s gonna go..” she smirked driving crazily down the street
A black G-wagon stood opposite the road taking photos and Videos of them
The videos and photos were sent to Li Xue immediately
His eyes dilated as soon as he got the video
” This kid is getting out of control. Dating someone without cla-ss?” He exclaimed before picking up his phone again
? DON’T FAIL TO DO THE JOB TODAY, MAKE SURE YOU BREAK EVERY BREAKABLE THING IN HER BODY.. YOU SHOULDN’T KILL HER, JUST TORMENT HER UNTIL SHE BEGS FOR DEAD..
He sent again before tossing his phone away
