EPISODE 15
OJOCHEMI POV
Tony is a stranger, his someone I just met but his way different from his friend, his calm, and very funny…. we got talking and soon became friends.
He even told me some secret about Oscar and his mischievous behavior….. I finish cooking my food and brou-ght it to the sitting room so we could eat.
I dish the food in two plate because I know Mr mean man won’t eat… I dish food for the two of us and brou-ght it into the living room.
we were about to eat when Mr rude man came out and started shouting on me.
OSCAR
what are you guys doing?
TONY
what does it look like?
OSCAR
stay out of this tony, I’m talking to this village girl.
OJOCHEMI
as you can see, we are about to eat.
OSCAR
you call this food? even my dog wouldn’t eat this.
TONY
common man, stop being a je-rk
OSCAR
I’m not and you know it… I don’t even un-derstand you man….. first it was my maid and now this village girl? is something wrong with you?
TONY
hey just ignore him okay? let’s eat .
We ignored him and started to eat, he stare at his friend like he would kill him if given the chance before he left us.
after dinner I packed the plates to the kitchen to wash, Tony joined me too and we did the washing together.
we sat down in the living room discussing.
TONY
so when did you come?
OJOCHEMI
not long ago… today is my third day in this house.
TONY
but I still don’t un-derstand…. are you here as a maid or his wife?
OJOCHENEMI
God forbid,I rather remain single than marry a man like that….I will just use beating to finish him.
TONY
(he laughed)
you sound as if you can beat him.
OJOCHEMI
(I smile)
tell him to come and try me na
TONY
(He laughed ha-rd)
no please, I don’t want my friend to kill someone oh
OJOCHEMI
that one? that one that ran away yesterday when I was beating his girlfriend…
TONY
(He looked shocked)
you mean Manda was here yesterday?
OJOCHEMI
Manda or Amanda?
TONY
(He smiled again)
they are the same thing Manda is the short form for Amanda.
OJOCHENEMI
yes, she’s the one…. she came here running her mouth yesterday…. I had to teach her a small lesson .
TONY
(Shocked)
and Oscar what did he do?
OJOCHEMI
I say oga Japa nii, his babe was even calling him to come and save her and he was like ….”that girl is an animal, she would ruin my handsome face”
Tony laughed until he found himself on the ground.
TONY
you are joking right?
OJOCHENEMI
that one is just oppressing people because he knows they can’t do him anything because of his money and status…. but as for me chenemi I’m not scared of him.
TONY
I really like you chenemi, you are funny and fun to be with….and honestly I will really like it if you can change my friend for us…. his too rude and arrogant
OJOCHEMI
I’m sure his old enough to know what is good or bad…. if he wants to change let him do that himself…. afterall I didn’t make him this way.
he was about saying something when his phone started ringing, he excused himself and answered the call.
not long he came back and sat down beside me
TONY
my woman wants her man back home, so I have to go now…. see you when I see you…
OJOCHEMI
I really enjoy your company too… say me hi to that your girl.
TONY
I will….. do you have a phone
OJOCHEMI
no I don’t
TONY
oh okay…. let’s talk about that when next we meet okay?
OJOCHENEMI
alright.
OSCAR’S POV
I was in my room when tony walked into my room.
OSCAR
Are you done eating that ru-bbish?
TONY
Mr man I think it’s high time you drop this stupid attitude of yours and start living well.
OSCAR
what attitude? because I’m looking at for a friend?
TONY
looking at for me? from what? that food she made is our local food, and the last time I check you like that food very well…. so why are you making it look like you haven’t seen such food before.
OSCAR
Remind me again where I normally eat? I eat in the most expensive restaurant in this city, they don’t only serve the best…. they have the best workers with good training and mangers…. you expect me to eat from a woman who smells and haven’t showered for days?
TONY
oh stop being dramatic Oscar, that girl doesn’t smell, she’s very neat too…so why making it look like she poured her period in the food.
OSCAR
you never can tell, maybe she did…. maybe that’s why you are fighting me now…. you don’t know that girl… she’s very evil in fact she’s a witch…. you should be careful around her.
TONY
you won’t stop to surprise me oscar…. but in all this I pity your mother…I pity her because I can oy imagine what she’s going throu-ghhaving a man like you as a son…. it’s high time you come down fr your high horse Mr ….. that girl that I just met is nothing but an angel, and your mother went this far to bring her…. the best you can do is prove to your mom you are not daft and stupid like we all think.
OSCAR
I beg your pardon?
TONY
I refuse you to beg it oscar…. it’s high time you grow up…. and let me warn you, that nonsense you tried earlier talking about about Maria, today should he the last time…m if you don’t want to lose me as a friend too….. nonsense
he said and walked out on me…. I wonder what right tony thinks he has to speak to me in such a manner…i really don’t blame him… it’s because I see him as a brother that’s why his talking to me like a nobody.
I pressed my phone for a while before I fell asleep.
I woke up around 10pm feeling very hungry, then I remembered I didn’t even eat anything before coming home because Tony wouldn’t even let me br@nch to anywhere.
I weakly came down from my bed and went downstairs…..i went outside to meet my gate man
OSCAR
go and get me food…. I’m hungry
GATE MAN
Oga by this time? you know that restaurant would have clsoed by now.
OSCAR
that’s true… is there no restaurant around?
GATE MAN
non that I can think of sir…. but sir, I thought you don’t eat late night meal
OSCAR
what’s your business…my friend will you shut up and go back to your duty post.
I was frustrated, I was very hungry and sleep won’t even try to comfort me now.
I went into the kitchen and opened her pot of her…. honestly it didn’t smell bad, in fact aside my mum’s own, she’s the second person who has cooked this food and the real aroma came out perfectly well.
staring at the pot my stomach sang more Melody and begged me to feed it….. but hell no I’m not eating that’s witch’s food.

EPISODE 16
TWO WEEKS LATER
NARRATOR’S POV
the past weeks have been nothing but hell for ojochemi and oscar…. no body want to back down for the other… some times they get into a heated argument and break things in the house like thu-gs.
Oscar seeing that ojochemi is not the kind of person he can mess with went out and got himself two bouncer who were always following him around in the house.
At least for two days ojochemi ignored him and his bouncers because she know the two would be too much for her to handle…. she would have dealt with them if they had come one after the other.
three days later Oscar started looking for ways to fight with chenemi, he already saw the signs that she was afraid of his bouncers…. anytime ojochemi try to charge towards him he would run and hide behind his bouncers.
After having a de-ep thought she decided to show the boys what she’s capable of doing.
she went out and ask the gate man where she could buy stuff and he told her to take a taxi it will take her to the closest market
she thanked him and went out, she got to the market and got traps, traps that are use to either catch bush meat or rats.
she came back and set it all over the house, she took notes of all the places she place the trap so she won’t fall a prey too.
Oscar closed in the evening and was entering inside his own house, without looking outside his door he stepped on the trap set for him.
the pain was out of this world, he fell on the ground holding his left leg and screaming.
ojochemi heard his voice and started to laugh, she didn’t mean for him to step on it though, she was holding his bouncers would….but it’s good at least he won’t have strength to look for her trouble.
His bouncers ran to go and help him, they held him each from other arm and took him inside the room.
they placed him on the couch gently, ojochemi was just laughing silently.
She knows soon the two would always meet their match.
One of the bouncers was heading to the kitchen to get a bowl of water and towel, his leg hit a stool place by the Conner, he hissed and angrily use his hu-ge feet to kick it away…. not knowing that the trap was un-der that stool…. he accidentally stepped on the bigger trap.
immidiately his leg started to bleed, he held his foot screaming, he called on his colleagues to come help him.
the colleague was confused, he didn’t know if he should be worried about his partner or their boss who is bleeding on the couch.
After a brief thinking he decided to go bring his colleagues to the living room.
He knew somethin was off and with the way ojochemi was laughing he knew she had a hand in what was happening so he started to walk carefully so he won’t fall a prey too.
Ojochemi waited patiently till he equally stepped on the last trap, she burst out laughing really ha-rd.
OJOCHEMI
who is the boss now? you guys think you have power? why not stand up and display those strength now?
OSCAR
so you did this.? you did this to me in my own house?
OJOCHEMI
you better shut up now….. I don’t have money to hire bouncers so I hire my wisdom…. now who is in pain?
OSCAR
please take me to the hospital, I’m bleeding so much.
Ojochenemi was shocked, she turn to look at him very well, not un-derstanding what she had heard… did Oscar just beg her to help him?
She remember him br@gging that night she caught him in front of her pot, he swore he would never eat her food, or nee-d for help whatsoever so she should leave his house.
OJOCHEMI
what did you say?
OSCAR
I say you should take me to the hospital, you witch
(he curse her)
OJOCHEMI
okay, I’m going to help you but on one condition
OSCAR
I can’t believe this, you are giving me condition after doing this to me? unbelievable
OJOCHEMI
I will be in my room, when you are ready please come and tell me.
She turn and started walking away, Oscar curse un-der his breathe and called her back…she smiled and turn to face him
OJOCHEMI
yes, yes what is it? I don’t have time
OSCAR
remove this stuff from my legs first, then we can talk about…..
He was saying and he pas-sed out.
OJOCHEMI POV
I was shocked when he pas-sed out, he hadn’t even lost so much blood so why did he pas-s out…. then I remembered his a rich man, and rich people are nothing but weak people, they claim they are wealthy and eat healthy food when they are just eating sickness in place of food.
I went to check the bouncer and they had already taken out their own traps but the bleeding was still much.
I rushed to the kitchen and brou-ght out one of the bags my mother packed for me, there’s a leaf my mum package for me because it’s very medicinal…. it was longer fresh but it could still work.
I put some in a bowl and added water then sque-ezed it…. I rushed to Oscar and pulled out the trap first, then press the leaf jui-ce on his leg….i robbed some on his nose and he sneezed.
He opened his eyes slowly and went back to sleep almost immidiately…. knowing that he was already out of danger I left him and went to attend to his bouncers.
After saving the two guys I took Oscar to his bedroom and laid him on his bed.
I came downstairs to remove the rest of the traps before I fall a pray to my own misdeed.
After I remove them, I package them and kept in a bag and hide them in case of another day.
I made dinner and put in the freezer, went upstairs to take my bath……
I came downstairs to give his bouncers food, I could see the fear in their eyes when I placed the food in front of them.
OJOCHEMI
common guys, I’m many things but food poisoning? nah I’m not that evil…. you guys should eat…. because you will nee-d your strength.
My last statement put them in another shock, I laughed and walked away.
I went back to Oscar room to look at him, his leg was still bleeding, so I had to clean off the leaf I applied earlier and used his first aid box to treat the leg….. I bandage it when I was throu-ghcleaning it.
I went downstairs to eat my dinner before retiring to my room.
OSCAR’S POV
I opened my eyes to the unending pain coming from my leg, my mind went back to what happened earlier, I immediately felt anger, at that moment the only thing that came to my mind was to just kill that witch…. I stepped down from the bed and headed to her room, nothing is going to save her from me tonight… I’m going to kill her.
