Shane paced up and down the hospital reception restlessly, di-pping his hand into his hair occasionally and sighing heavily time to time
Elena is in the emergency room, getting attended to, the car she got hit with wasn’t detected till now, it’s with no number and that made it ha-rd to find
Shane di-pped his hand in his hair frustratedly again, sitting and standing almost immediately
“Elena plea-se be fine, Elena just plea-se!” He said to himself
Right now he’s crazy, yeah that’s the perfect word for what he’s feeling right now
“How’s she?” He asked impatiently immediately the doctor c@mĀ£ out of her ward
“Calm down young guy, the girl is fine, the cut on the side of her head is not that de-ep, it has been treated and she’ll be fine”
” What about her knees?” He asked
” The bruises on her knees are a little bit de-ep and she will not be able to walk for a few days but after getting treated she’ll be ok” he replied
Shane sighed in relief and sat to calm himself down, he closed his eyes and inhaled softly
“She’ll be fine, I promise” the doctor reas-sured
” Thanks doctor” he replied, opening his eyes and standing up
” Is she awake now?” He asked
” No, but she’ll wake up today, I promise” doctor replied as-suredly
“Can I go sit beside her at least?” He asked
” Of course” the doctor replied, gesturing at the ward she has been moved to
Shane entered the ward and met her slee-ping on the be-d unconsciously with a bandaged head and knees
He sat on the be-d beside her and took her hand gently
“plea-se wake up soon and talk to me, I feel lonely” he said slowly and k!$$Ā£d her small tender hands
He tĀ©uƧhed her cheeks gently too and smiled . “Wake up soon plea-se, plea-se Elena” he said
He decided against calling her mum cos he doesn’t want to make her worry
Warren’s call rang on his phone immediately.
“Hey bud” Warren’s voice said Immediately he picked
“Warren” he sighed
“I’ve been worried, you aren’t in school yet and you never told me yesterday that you won’t be coming to school today” Warren replied
” Elena got into an accident” he replied
“What!, Hope it wasn’t too severe?, How’s she now huh?” Warren asked worriedly
” She’s fine trust me, you’ll have to explain everything taught in clas-s to us when we come back cos I’m gonna stay with her throu-ghout all the days she’ll be staying here” he replied
” No qualms bud, I wish her quic-k recovery, which hospital are we talking about?, I can come see her after school”
“highway hospital”
” Alright Shane, I’ll see you” Warren replied before he hung up
He called madam Donna of yummy yummy restaurant next and informed her too
“What!, How did it happen?, Hope it’s not too much?, Where’s she currently?” Madam Donna asked at a time
” Keep calm madam, she’s fine so just chill , I hope you won’t hire another waitress pending when she’ll be in the hospital” Shane said, holding Elena’s hand with his left hand and ru-bbing the back of her palm with his thumb
“I can’t do that, Elena is a good girl so I can’t ever do that, I’ll come check on her, which hospital” she asked
Shane told her the name before hanging up

Golden br@ins high**
“I heard trashy girl got into an accident” Miley smiled while coming into the school with her minions
” Whoa!, Isn’t that awesome?, She got her payment even without our tĀ©uƧh” Sydney said
” I hope she dies in the hospital, Eros is my crush but she’s obviously flir-ting with him too” Laurette smiled, rolling a piece of her hair on her pointer f!nger while chewing gum
“That’s new, you never told us” Miley faced her
“Yeah it has been a secret crush” Laurette giggled
“How cool” Sydney cl@pped, pu-lling up her Sk-irt
“I’m glad she got into the accident too” Miley smiled
Clas-s**
“Hey Warren, Shane and Elena aren’t in school today, have any idea what happened?” Eros asked worriedly
” Elena got into an accident but it’s fine, Shane said it’s not severe” Warren replied
” I hope so, are you going to the hospital?” Eros asked
” Sure, after school”
“We can go together”
” Sure” Warren replied
Lunchtime**
Warren remained in clas-s with Eros , talking about their project together since they’re p@rtners
Miley c@mĀ£ back to clas-s to pick something and won’t stĀ©p rolling eyes at Warren
“Just a minute” Warren said, standing up to go meet her
He pu-ll-ed her out of the clas-s to the back of the clas-s
“Let go of me!” Miley said stubbornly, jĀ£rking his hand off her
He let go of her and she started breathing heavily
“What are we here for?” She asked with a Stern look
“You look more pretty today so much that I feel like hvgging you” he said
” You’re Crazy, don’t talk to me” Miley replied and made to walk away but Warren hvgged her from behind
“Don’t be stubborn” he said on her shoulder but she pushed him away before sl@pping him ha-rd
Warren smiled and offered the second cheek. “You can sl@p me here too” he said with a smile
“jĀ£rk!, I hate you!” Miley ranted and left angrily
Warren smiled and hvgged himself. ” That felt good” he inhaled.
Meanwhile in clas-s**
Laurette c@mĀ£ into the clas-s and rested her hand on Eros table, still chewing gum loudly
Eros is re-ading a book, not looking at her
“You always look good and I love you for that” Laurette said, popping her gum
Eros plugged in his earpiece but she took it out and took the book away from him
“I’m talking to you, you should give me a reply” she said
“Ion talk to bit-ches, and this should be the first and last time you’ll ever do this” he said sternly before leaving the clas-s, knowingly hitting his shoulder on hers and that made her stagger
Laurette ha-rd ened her fist and hit it on the table
“$h!t!”

“That bore!, Ion even like him a bit!” Miley kept saying to herself as she walked down the hallway that led to clas-s
“sĀ£nior Miley” a junior called from behind
She looked back and frowned. “Yes?”
“Mr Louis Diamond is by the gate to see you”
” Why will he come to see me?” She wondered as she walked to the gate and he’s truly waiting
“Big bro” she smiled brightly
“Did you go to my house to do anything to Cheryl?” He asked straight
” Oh, that your silly betrothed?, Yeah I went there to teach her a little bit of lesson” she replied
” Beating her till her face bec@mĀ£ disfigured like that?, Miley!” Louis yelled
” Beat her?, Are you kidding me?, I only threatened her and poured water on her face, I never tĀ©uƧhed even her smallest f!nger” Miley replied
” I don’t believe you, so the marks on her face were glued there by aliens?” Louis said
” And why are you suddenly acting like this, the last time I checked, you hate her” Miley said, crossing her arms on her che-st
“Yes I do, but not to the extent of doing that to her or allowing someone to do that to her, Miley I love you like a brother loves his little sis, don’t make me regret that so stĀ©p now” Louis warned
” Why don’t you ask Daisy about it?” Miley frowned
Louis entered his car and drove off without uttering anything again.

Highway hospitals**
Shane never left Elena’s side either to go use the restroom or washroom, he stayed althrou-gh till she woke up in the evening
“Princess” he called immediately she opened her eyes
“Shane” she replied with a faint smile, trying to sit up
“No, stay still, it’ll hurt if you try to get up” he said, holding her down
” plea-se..I can manage, you just have to help me tilt up” she replied with pleading eyes
He helped her up and she finally sat up
“Ouch!” She winced when she felt pains on her knees
“I’m sorry” Shane said, still holding her
“It’s ok” she smiled and what he did next is hvgging her
She hvgged her so ti-ght and for so long
“Thanks for waking up, I was so worried and lonely without you” he said on her shoulder
She hvgged him back and smiled too. ” Thanks for staying too, it’s means a lot” she said slowly
He let her go and they stared at each other for long
In his eyes, she saw care and concern with something else she doesn’t un-derstand yet while Shane is seeing safeness in her eyes, it’s obvious she feels safe with him
He held her two hands and k!$$Ā£d them fondly. “I’m sorry this happened, maybe if I haven’t c@mĀ£ to give you a ride, it wouldn’t have happened, I feel guilty” he said sadly, slightly tou-ching her bandaged head
“It’s not your fault, no one knew it was gonna happen, and besides, what about the driver of that car?” She asked
” Honestly no news about whoever it was, the car was without number so it’s somehow suspicious” he replied
” That’s really suspicious”
“Doctor said you won’t be able to walk for days” Shane said
” Meaning no school?, No Shane that can’t happen, I just gained admission after a lot of struggle so no time to waste in fact I’m leaving this hospital this evening” she replied
” Princess…
“I’m serious Shane, plea-se help me, I can’t miss another day at school after today” she said pleadingly
” But it’s lethal for you …
“I’ll manage” she interrupted
He looked at her for a while and her eyes really held the de-sire to leave here
“Ok, I’ll help” he smiled
“That’s my boy” she replied happily, holding his hand fondly
Madam Donna c@mĀ£ in just at the same time with Warren and Eros
“Baby” Donna pouted, hvgging her
“Ma’am” she replied and hvgged her back
“Sorry about this” Donna said, checking her out
” I’m really fine” she smiled
“Get well soon” Warren waved
“Thanks Warren” she waved back
Eros made to hvg her but Shane stayed in the middle
” A wave is ok, she’s still not that ok to receive too much hvgs” he said
Eros smiled and Warren giggled
” Ok Elena, quic-k recovery” he waved
“Thanks Eros” she smiled
” So when will she be discharged?” Warren asked
“I’m going home now” Elena replied
“You mean you’ll walk with clutches?” Eros said
“I don’t mind” Elena replied
” Staying one more day or two wont hurt” Donna said
” I know, but I just don’t want to” she replied
” She won’t walk with clutches” Shane said, bending in front of her
” I’ll give you a piggyback ride” he said
“Won’t it be too stressfull?, I’m heavy” she smiled
“I don’t mind” he replied and she carefully mount his back
He stood with her on his back and she cli-pped her arms on his nĀ£Ā¢k
“You should at least inform the doctor” Eros said
“No, this is what we call hospital escape” Elena replied and stick out her ton-gue as they left the ward
Shane dropped her in the car after Eros left with Warren and Donna
He drove her home and Bella was beyond shocked at what she’s seeing
“Elena!” She almost screamed
“Mum” she replied as Shane dropped her on the couch, first time he’s entering her house
“What happened?, Just what….
” Ma’am, she’s fine I promise, it was a slight accident” Shane said
” Slight accident and her knees are like this, her head is even bandaged” Bella said
” Calm down mummy, p@rt of why I didn’t bother to call cos I know you’ll do this” Elena said
” I’m just worried” Bella sat beside her, placing Elena’s legs on her l@ps
” I’ll come pick you up for school tomorrow, ma’am plea-se take care of her” Shane said
” Sure” Bella replied, smiling a bit
Shane brou-ght hisl-ips closer to Elena’s ear
“Take care of yourself Lena, take pain relievers to relieve the pains, I’ll buy treatments while coming to pick you up tomorrow morning, and I’m sure I won’t be able to sleep cos I’ll be worried about you so much, sleep ti-ght princess” he said, ma-king hisl-ips brush her ear in the process and her bĀ©dy shaked slightly at the contact
He stood upright and win-ked before leaving
“He’s nice” Bella said
“Yes” Elena smiled
” I’ll go get pain relievers and your food” Bella said.

Louis got home straight from work and met his food on the dinning table again, Cheryl is nowhere to be found
He never br@nched Daisy’s place, maybe because he’s worried about Cheryl though he planned to give her her hellish treatment but maybe he’s not that ha-rd hearted
He climbe-d upstairs and went to his room to change first before deciding to check on her in her room
He knocked the door and received no answer
“Cheryl are you ok?” He asked worriedly
“Cheryl how’s your face?” He asked again but still got zero answer
” Cheryl” he knocked again
” You’re disturbing me, just leave plea-se” she replied from inside
He left her doorstep reluctantly and went back into his room
He has six missed calls from Daisy alre-ady and he immediately called back
“Where did you put your phone?, You missed my six calls?, Where did you put your phone!” She yelled like a controller
” Daisy you just yelled?”
” Oh.. I’m …I’m sorry, I just… missed you” she stuttered
” I’m tired, I’ll see you tommorow” he replied and hung up before falling on the be-d
” Is she ok?” He asked himself silently again, referring to Cheryl
****
Next morning**
“You really c@mĀ£” Elena smiled Immediately Shane showed up in his car
Thankfully she has dressed up with the help of her mum and the knees has been redressed with new bandages
The bandage on her head has been re-moved and has been replaced with small plaster
“Yeah, how was your night?” Shane asked, coming out of the car
“Twas ok, URS?” She asked
“It’s fine” she replied radiantly, Bella is actually guiding her by holding her arm
“Morning ma’am” he greeted
“Morning, thanks for coming again” Bella replied
” Thanks for taking care of her” he replied, taking her from Bella
He carried her in his arms into the car and placed her gently on the seat
“When she comes back from school, treat her knees with these” he said, getting treatments from the car
He handed it to Bella who thanked him so much before he entered the car and moved it
The drive to school was fun, Shane kept cracking jokes just to make her happy
They got to school and he carried her in his arms again
“The students..” Elena said
“I don’t care” he replied and adjusted her in his arms as he made his entry
Students gathered and eyes wi-de-ned
Elena can’t stĀ©p looking at him as he walked into their block with her in his lovely arms
He looks like someone who really cares less about what others will say
*The new girl and Shane!*
“The one who looks like his dead ex!*
*How cute!*
*But I hate the girl’s guts!*
*How dare she steal our school idol!*
Shane never looked at anyone besides her as he walked into the clas-s
“Nice view this early morning” Warren smiled
“Whoa!” Eros exclaimed slowly
“What’s this?” Miley wondered loudly, feeling pangs of jealousy and anger in her
Shane gently placed Elena on her seat beside Eros and bent beside her
“Have a good day, I’ll be watching from behind” he said and smiled afterwards
” Why are you so kind and why are you ma-king me feel like this?” Elena thought as she stared
” I promise to be your legs till you’ll be ok” Shane said again and win-ked this time
” How manly” Warren said from the back
“Huh?” Elena said as if she didn’t hear
“I nee-d to tell you something” he said and stood, he bent over to her and held her face in his palms
He made their faces so close and their breaths brushed their faces
He bit his l-ips lightly
“Oh stĀ©p doing that” Elena thought
He brou-ght hisl-ips closer to her ears
” If anyone confronts you,tell them to fvĀ¢k off cos you’re strong” he said and faced her again
” You can do it Princess” he said seriously and brou-ght hisl-ips closer to her hair
Hisl-ips tĀ©uƧhed her hair and stayed there for so long that she had to close her eyes
“fvĀ¢k, Shane this is called murder, someone will die” Warren said loudly
“Oh my God” Miley said and fainted immediately.
