“You better explain what is going on,” She hiss and walk back into the kitchen.
Martin sigh as his hands run through his already messy hair.
“Fuck,” He groan before walking into the kitchen.
“Who was that?” Evelyn ask immediately he walk in and he sigh.
Her back was turn against him and she didn’t even bother to turn her back when she walk in.
“Hmmm I really don’t know her,” He replied and evelyn scoffs turning to look at him.
“Seriously martin you still have the guts to lie to my face. How the hell did she know your house if she don’t know you,” Evelyn fired at him angrily.
“Babe calm down. I seriously didn’t know her,” He said and evelyn scoff.
“You mind explaining how she got to know here then,” Evelyn said folding her hands and martin lick him lips nervously.
For the first time he was nervous. He didn’t want evelyn to get angry after he tells her that his father want him to get married to maria.
He was so scared. He didn’t want to loose evelyn for the second time.
“I am waiting,” Evelyn raised her eyebrows and martin chuckle.
He was kinda surprise that evelyn was acting this way. He had never imagine her acting this way.
“On the day I went to visit my parent that was the first time I met her,” He gulp down.
“Dad said he wants me to get married to her because he and her father was about sighing a business deal and that is the only way he could accept the deal,” He said and evelyn scoffs.
She really did felt hurt. For the fact that his father want his son to get married to someone else. Probably his parent are not going to accept her.
She was already in tears.
“But I refuse,” He said softly making evelyn stare at him. He move towards her and gently got hold of her hand.
“I love you so much eve snd I wouldn’t dare marry someone else even if it is requested of my dad,” He said softly and evelyn just sigh cleaning the tears in her eyes.
“I know you won’t but he is your father. If he can’t give us our blessings then probably we can’t get married. I was really hoping for your parent to like me and get along well with me, and sees me as their future wife too but I don’t think so,” She said tears falling down from her eyes, and martin sigh before cleaning her tears off.
“But I want you eve, and you will be mine no matter what,” He said softly and evelyn just stare at him.
A part of her believed him, but a part of her was doubting if they were ever going to be together.
Probably if his parent Don’t like her, they probably can’t get married. No matter how much he might want them to get married, parent presence are mostly important in the marriage.
“Is okay sweetheart,” He said and they both hug each other.
“Hmmm I think we will get late for work,” Evelyn whispered as they hug each other and Martin rolled his eyes.
“It is my company babe. I can come anything I want to and no one will dare talk to me,” Martin said and evelyn chuckle before she distinguish from the hug.
“Punctuality Is important from a boss so go get ready. After am done with breakfast I will go and take my bath,” Evelyn said.
“Seriously eve we can take our bath together when you are done,” Martin said and evelyn gave him a deadly glare. making him laugh nervously
“Hmmm i take my words back. I will go bath alone,” He said and quickly walk out of the kitchen while evelyn laugh.
“Such a spoilt freak,” She muttered to herself and shake her head.

Evelyn turn on the shower before stepping into it and she moan softly as the cold water came in contact with her body.
After she had cooked, she came to take her bath and as for martin he is probably dressing now.
The bathroom door open and evelyn quickly turn around only to see martin standing and she gasps trying to cover her b**bs…..p***y.
She didn’t even know where to cover. Martin just stood staring at her body while licking his lips.
“What the hell are you doing here?” She scream and use the soap to hit him on the face making him groan.
“That hurt like hell,” She groan rubbing her eyes and she quickly use the towel to cover herself.
“What the hell are you doing here?” She scream and martin flinch as he rub the soap off his eyes.
“Hmmm I think I miss my road. I will get going,” He said and rush out of the bathroom and evelyn just scoffs.
She can’t believe he just saw hee nakedness. Probably he had some part of her body but he has never for once see her full naked body…
“But he just did,” Evelyn scream as she realize what just happen.
“You asshole.” Evelyn yells as she rush out of the bathroom with a towel tied around her.
“I am sorry,” Martin said with an hidden smirk on his lips.
He probably did that purposely.
“Seriously martin,” she yells hitting his chest and martin got hold of her hand.
“If you are not careful your towel will fall down,” Martin said in a teasing tone and evelyn gasps moving away from him and glaring at him at the same time while martin just burst into laughter making poor evelyn red in embarrassment.

“WaW the food is really tasty. You are good in this babe,” Martin said as he took a bite from the chicken and evelyn smile.
She really was scared that martin is not going to like the food.
“Am glad you like it,” Evelyn said and martin just wink at her.
“About what happen just now I just wanted to let you know I did it purposely,” He said and evelyn scoff.
“Don’t fucking remind me of that,” Evelyn said covering her face and martin bursted into laughter.

“Welcome boss,” Some of the staff greeted as he walk pass them with Evelyn beside him and he didn’t answer as always.
They walk into martin office only to see charlotte sitting down pressing her phone.
“What the hell are you doing here early?” Martin asked kinda surprise but she just ignore him and then hug evelyn.
“Thank you for giving my brother chance once again,” She whispered and evelyn just smile as she reciprocate the hug.
At least his parent might not like her but she knows for sure that charlotte lover her.
“Seriously charlotte. You left your brother to hug someone else,” Martin said faking a hurt expression and evelyn chuckle.
“Are you jealous now?”
“Big bro,” Charlotte called and hug him tightly which he reciprocate immediately.
“I miss you,” She said and martin rolled his eyes before kissing her forehead.
“Miss you too kiddo,” He replied hugging her softly and evelyn just smile as she stare at the sibling.
You could really tell that they both miss each other.
“What are you doing here by the way?” Evelyn ask as they distinguish from the hug.
“Well I don’t have any class today so I taught of spending it with evelyn,” Charlotte said smiling at evelyn.
“But I am busy,”
“It doesn’t matter. I will stay in the office with you,” She said and evelyn nodded.
“Okay I will go to my office now,” Evelyn said and the both girls walk out leaving martin who was just frowning.
“Probably I can’t kiss her today,” He muttered to himself.
His phone rang and he rolled his eyes when he saw it was cole calling.
“What?” He ask immediately he pick the call.
“Is charlotte with you?” Cole ask.
“Yeah, she said she is free today,” Martin said and the other sigh.
“Okay,” He simply said and ended the call making martin scoffs.
“Is something going on between them?” He muttered to himself and turn to look at his sister through the glass.
“So how has your relationship with my brother been?” Charlotte ask.
They were both inside evelyn office and Evelyn was busy arranging the files.
“Hmmm the best I would say. He is really changing alot and hmm I want to ask you a question.”
“Go ahead,”
“Do you know maria?” Evelyn ask a s charlotte just stare at her. She did not want to hurt her by telling her maria is the girl her father wants martin to marry but she already knows anyway.
“You don’t have to keep silent charlotte,”
“She is the girl dad wants martin to get married to,” she said and evelyn nodded.
“But hey you know my brother is never going to do that right?” Charlotte ask and Evelyn strugged her shoulder.
“I don’t know what to say.” Evelyn said and she just sigh.
“Trust me only my dad is doing this. Neither me or my mum support him,” Charlotte said but evelyn didn’t answer her.
“I wanna ask you a question,” Charlotte said and evelyn just nodded indicating her to ask her question.
“What do you do if….if….the person Don’t love you back….I mean he doesn’t want to love you back because he is friend with your brother,” Charlotte said and evelyn stare at her suspiciously.
“Are you in love?” Evelyn ask and Charlotte prentended to cough.
“Me?…of cour….se not,” She shuttered and evelyn rolled her eyes.
“My friend is the one who is,” she replied and evelyn nodded.
“Well if he doesn’t reciprocate her love then she should find who does but if she think he is scared because of her brother then she should not give up on him and plead with her brother to give them a chance,” Evelyn said and Charlotte nodded.
Evelyn gasps as she looks at her wrist watch and she quickly stand up.
“Hmm I and your brother have a business meeting with one of our client so I will see you few hours time, ” Evelyn said and Charlotte nodded before she walk out of the office.
She enters martin office and he sat down typing something on his laptop.
“Hey it is time for a meeting with Mr Collins,” She inform and martin nodded.
“But seriously I just wish to go off today so I can be with you,” He said and evelyn laugh.
(MARTIN TECHNIQUE MEETING ROOM)
“Mr Martin,” He stood up as martin walk in and they both shakes hand.
“Good day Mr Collins,” Martin said and they both sat down.
Mr Collins is a man in his late 30s. Handsome and really friendly. Recently his company has been suffering bankrupt.
“So what has he requested from us eve,” He said drinking slowly from his coffee.
“As Mr Collins had said he promised to give us some shares of his company if he is not able to pay the 50 millions dollars he requested from us. His company is going bankrupt now and he needs 50 million naira to sort it out,” Evelyn read out.
“Shares aren’t gonna be enough. We are gonna save your company from getting bankrupt so that is not enough for us to believe you are gonna pay us back ,” Martin said and mr Collins sigh.
“Hmmm I promise me Martin I will pay you back. No one wanna mess with you.” He said and martin chuckle.
“Hmmm okay.” He simply replied and mr Collins sigh in relief.
Evelyn gently place the paper on the table.
Martin read and stretch forth his hand to evelyn who quickly place a biro in his hand.
He click his tongue before signing the paper and the other man do the same thing.
“It is nice doing business with you,” Mr collins smile stretching forth a handshake which martin accepted.

“The meeting lasted 44 minutes and your next meeting is with Mrs Tasha at 1: 30 and is 1 already.,” Evelyn Said as they walk through the long passage and martin scoff.
“That woman lack manners,” He said and evelyn chuckle.
She checks her phone and she frown when she saw 8 miss calls from ava teacher and almost immediately her phone rang and it was Haris calling.
“Hey bestie,” She said as she pick up the call
“Hi Evelyn. Is ava with you by any chance? He ask and Evelyn frown.
“She is in school,”
“No she is not,” He said and evelyn stop walking immediately making martin do the same.
“Her class teacher said a young man came to pick her up as they close so I was thinking it was martin,” Haris said and evelyn scoff.
“What are you saying? Martin was not the one,” She saidpanickly.
“Probably that was why her teacher was calling me,” She muttered.
“Oh my gosh,” Haris scream making evelyn panic.
“They check the CCTV camera….I think…..”
“Fucking say the bullshit Haris,” She yell and hairs sigh roughing his hair while martin just stood not understanding what was going on.
“I…. think…..think someone took….a…ava,” He finally said and evelyn gasps and her phone fell down from her hand dropping to the ground slowly.
“Evelyn are you okay?” martin yells grabbing hold of her as she suddenly started falling to the ground but his Voice seem distant……
