“This is the time we’ve all been waiting for?” The MC’s voice blasted throu-gh the speakers in the hall, as he added more effizy to it. The bridesmaids were all in, and I was left with Victor standing outside the hall, waiting for when the door would be open for the groom and bride to come in.

“I know you want to snap, do video, do Snapchat, do Instagram..but I take God beg you, they’ve also brou-ght their c@m£ra man. They want to see themselves, and not your IPhone, Androids, or Tab. Our c@m£ra man, are you set?”
I was so eager, and I couldn’t help looking at Victor constantly. He win-ked at me, and was grinning to himself. It was a beautiful something. He gave me a light k!sswhen he saw me watching him, and I just laughed a little. You know that kind of laugh.

“DJ pl@ythe music.” The MC said, and immediately the door was opened.

🎵🎵 Igbeyawo ogba gudu gudu meje..
Eniba ma se’igbeyawo ase gudu gudu meje..

As much as I thought I could dance, I was left laughing when I saw Victor’s dancing steps. It was a sign of practice. He moved his two legs awesomely, and I was left stunned. Everyone shouted in excitement hailing him, especially his friends. And you know ladies will always be ladies. They showed me some dancing steps, telling the DJ to pl@yanother song so I could dance.

🎵🎵 yehh.. Yehh..
Wizzy boy make me dance..
Daddy yo make me dance..
Star boy make me dance…

The ladies screamed, and I couldn’t help but show Victor I also can move that w@!st. He moved closer to me, rocking our b©dy together. Everyone in the hall screamed seeing the position we were.

“Hmm…” The Mc cleared his throat. “That groom is one baddest guy. Abeg wey my girlfriend.” Everyone laughed.

🎵🎵 feel…feel…feel

Feel the mama..

“Yehhhh….” Everyone shouted at the t©p of their voices and changed their steps. It was so funny hearing everyone’s comment.

“Oshey!”

“That’s my guy!”

“Oya.. Mrs. Stephen niyen!”

Giggles here and there. Victor drew me to him causing commotion and scream from my friends, and his. And just then, the DJ pla-yed one of Timi Dakolo’s songs..

🎵🎵 love you for a long time..
We’ve come a long way..
You’re like my sunshine..
They say that love is blind
But I can see it throu-gh your eyes.
Girl you give me so much happiness…
And I wanna give you nothing less..

🎵I promise to be true
To give my all to you
No matter what they say
This heart belongs to you..

The way Victor dramatize it made me laugh, and giggle, and I couldn’t help but feel like the luckiest girl in the whole world.
We settled on the long seat prepared for us, before the MC’s voice blasted throu-gh the speakers in the hall. “Someone should help us with a single chair plea-se. The groom wants to show us something he has been preparing all these years.”
Everyone laughed, and immediately a chair was brou-ght to us.

“Oya, our wife, come take your seat.” I giggled to myself, and got up, sitting on the single chair. And immediately Victor’s friends arrived behind him, the DJ pla-yed a music, and they started showing me their skills.

🎵🎵you’ve gat that smile
That only heaven can make..
I pray to God everyday, that you keep that smile.
You’re my dream
There is nothing I won’t do
I will give my life all for you..

That p@rt made me smile, and I started laughing. Ap@rt from his funny skills, I just could not help laughing.

“Abeg Mr. Victor move closer..” The MC said, and everyone cheered as Victor knelt down at my front. “Oya k!ssyour baby.. Abeg gr-ab your honey pie.” The MC was adding more for everyone to keep cheering and cl@pping. Victor reached for myl-ips, and su-cked on my lowerl-ips before gr-abbing everything.

“Yes oo..” The MC jubilated. “No time for dulling. My brother gr-ab something join. gr-ab anything you can t©uçh. Is your thing my brother. Everything dey soft well well.” Everyb©dy in the hall screamed and laughed. I was smiling throu-gh the k!ss, as Victor reached forward and gr@bb£d the upper p@rt of my bu-tt.
“And I’m shy sha,” the MC was sounding like a little boy. “Abeg he don do,” he was back to his normal voice ma-king everyone laughed. Victor re-leased myl-ips with a wi-nk directed at me. I laughed and hit his shoulder pla-yfully before he could dodge it.
“And they are even ma-king us jealous.” Few people laughed at what the MC said. “Can we get one more chair plea-se?” A chair was immediately brou-ght to him, and Victor sat on it as he was told.

“Time to know the real fact about our newest couple in town. Mr. Victor, re-move your right shoe and pas-s it to me plea-se.” He said the same to me, and it was exchanged. I was holding Victor’s shoe, and he was with mine.

“So, we want to see how much you know each other. If I ask you a question, whoever does it better between you two, you will raise a shoe to indicate. If you agree Suzy does it better, you raise her shoe.” He said the same to me, and I was a bit nervous.
“Okay, who is the ro-mantic one?”
I raised Victor’s shoe. He is, and I wish I can be more.

“Yes ooo….” His friends screamed.

“Guys we are just too mouthed!” The MC added his own, boasting pla-yfully.

“Who is the foodie gang?”

Everyone screamed immediately they saw my shoe up. Guess Victor must have raised my shoe also, because the scream was doubled.

“Our wife is too loyal,” the MC spoke in a jest, causing my friends to cl@p for me like I just got an award or something. “Mr. Victor, every week make Una dey buy food stuff for house.”
Everyone laughed.

The MC said a lot, ma-king everyone laughed. The crowd was excited, happy faces, and their hands busy with their phones capturing every moment. The food and drinks were going round, and gifts were been shared. Every chance I get, I glance at my husband. My man. My crazy s£nior. I couldn’t believe it. Tears tried to find its way down my cheeks, but my smile never allowed it.

I love this guy.
And I want to love him forever.
It was a dream come true for me.

“Okay,” the MC called everyone’s attention. “The next thing I have here on my list is to hear what people have to say about the couple. Team Suzy, and Team Victor. Find your way to the front and share with us what we don’t know.”
Everyone cl@pped as Victoria made her way to the front. Her pregnancy was getting bigger, showing throu-gh the go-wn she was putting on.

“Sorry brother, team Suzy all the way.” The ladies cl@pped, and I smiled. “I knew the bride even before her arrival. I actually don’t get involve with any new student, but my brother would never st©p talking about the beautiful picture of the new girl he saw.”
Everyone started to comment, laughing.
“I’m so lucky to have you in our family. I want you to know that I love and respect you so much. Congratulations to you both.” She dropped the mic, and walked away.

“I just knew these two are meant to be. Team Victor all the way.” My cousin, Mercy said, ma-king the guys hail her more.
“Welldone o!” I moved my two hands up for her to see, and gave her a cl@p. She laughed.

“She tried her best not to agree to what they both feel, and always try to deny it, but I alre-ady knew that was not enough to separate them. Thanks to our groom for putting that beautiful smile on my cousin’s face. Believe me, you’ve just got yourself the best wife.” Everyone cheered, and to my surprise, Victor got up and cl@pped for Mercy, including his friends.
Someone just become a star.

Everyone close to Victor also c@m£ out, but I haven’t seen Yomi. Guess he was busy serving their guests. Someone familiar walked towards where we were. The face was so familiar that I wanted to jump into conclusion. Round face, tall, that big, and beautiful eye ba-lls. With a big tummy that made her look like the S-xiest woman on earth. I hope pregnancy would fit me as the lady who made her way to the front.
No, it can’t be.

She smiled at me, and made me jump out of my seat. “Kunmi!”

She finally got to us, and hvgged me. “Congratulations my padi of life. I just could not miss it.” I was so happy. She smells so good. That aura of a good and happy life. Like that of a rich woman. Tall and Elegant in her maternity go-wn, and a low heels.

“I thought I was one master in calculation ap@rt from Gabriel whyte.” That confidence when it comes to speaking. “But you see this bride here, is one master of none when it comes to solving. I just wanna say you’ve added so much value to my life in that little time of knowing you.” She faced me. “Suzy, you deserve this, and I can’t wish you nothing but a happy home. A twin, and another twin, and let’s wra-pped it up with a triplet.” Everyone bur-st into laughter, including Victor and I.

“Even though Victor never talks to us, but that changed the moment our new student arrived. And with that letters, he won her heart. Any clue to get a woman, start s£nding her letters. This is my proof that it still works.” Those who knew what Kunmi was talking about laughed.
And just when I was still laughing, I felt Victor’s hand on my l@ps. “What’s that?”

I LOVE YOU.
It was neatly written on the paper. I couldn’t help but smile.
I reached forward and k!sshisl-ips. “I love you too.”
I hope I would still be getting my letters.
I am more than proud to tell everyone including our
children how he won my heart.
Because with his letters..

He captured my heart.
