My days at crown school episode 13

My Days
At crown
School

#Episode_13

Second term time table for exam was finally re-leased. To be honest, everyone was more serious about the second term exam than last term, because every time I visit the libr@ry, the population I meet amazes me. I was curious to know why? But I knew I would have to ask Kunmi for that.

Walking fast on my legs, I headed to the building painted in white only. Most of the buildings in Crown Schools were painted in green and white. If not green, then it’s white. The building wasn’t as big as other buildings, but the space inside was enough for every student that visit there. As usual, on getting to the entrance, the door was opened by the familiar security I meet there all the time.

Most of the space inside the libr@ry was occu-pied by the ss3 students the most. I was sure the only reason was because their WAEC time table had been re-leased. I walked quietly to the back to check if I could see a space to settle down. A seat was left vacant which I gladly took. Turning to look at my p@rtner, it was a feeling of surprise. I had to check again, if may be I was the one seeing things. He looked very serious and occu-pied.
Seriously

I was happy

A smile graced myl-ips because sincerely, I felt p@rt of me was happy to know he took his studies serious.
“Will you re-ad and st©p checking me out.” He raised his head at me with a smile lined on hisl-ips.
I blu-shed a little. “Who said I was checking you out. I’m just happy for you.”

He shook his head. “I’m a human like you. Don’t you want me to pas-s my WAEC?”

I laughed. “If there is anyone really happy for you, and wish you the best in your exams, it’s me,” I told him. He couldn’t suppress his smile, and he couldn’t laugh out loud because of where we were at that time. He tried to laugh as quiet as he can.
I wonder what was funny about what I just said.
I turned away from his direction, placing my book well to start re-ading.

“Angry?” He said quietly beside me.

“Pretty.”
“Beauty.”

“Fine girl.”
“S-xy girl.”

“Big head,” he kept on calling different names. I couldn’t suppress my smile, and at once, I bur-st into laughter, turning to his direction.

“You see,” he made jest of me. “I called you all the beautiful names that fits you, but your luck just chose ‘big head’. My friend, you’ve got to visit your General overseer.”
Hahaha
Someb©dy help!
I just kept on laughing, and laughing. But I dare not laugh out so as not to be s£nt out of the libr@ry. I was breathing in and out, pouting myl-ips, but still the laughter flew out of my mouth, and immediately I covered my mouth. “My God! Victor, what type of waves are you? You’re disturbing me.”

“Really,” he grinned at me, and I blu-shed.

“Seriously, I thought I saw a serious student re-ading earlier.”
I shook my head at him.

“Just like your Dad would kill you, my father would also skin me alive if I dare fail,” he said.

“Mocking me?” I looked sheepishly.
He laughed. “How come? The Suzy I know is not shy. And there is nothing embarras-sed about this. Just like your Dad is strict, mine also is strict. He doesn’t matter if he owns the school or not.”
A smile spre-ad on myl-ips, knowing what I was about to say. “I like your Dad alre-ady.”

“You like my Dad?” He repeated.

“I actually gets to fall for strict guys easily. They just know what is best for you. Not those guys that can laugh with their white teeth open all the time.”
He laughed. “Suzy, me?” He li-cked hisl-ips and shook his head at me. “I just pity you.”

“Pity me?” I wonder what he meant by that.

“Okay k!ssme.” He blurted out. My two eyes stared at him in horror. I recovered from my shock and laughed. “Now I just can’t wait to book an appointment with the general overseer, two insane people nee-ds to be healed.”
He laughed, grinning at me. “I would definitely get healed before you, because I know the nature of sickness.”
That confused me. “And what exactly would heal you?” I asked.
He smiled shyly. “Just a k!ssfrom a Goddess I have close to me.”

My God!

I threw him a slight punch on his che-st. “I never knew you guys are as many as this. I really won’t give up being a doctor because personally, I would love to treat you. You’re crazy my friend.”
“I know I am.” He win-ked at me. “I will wait just for you to have me treated. Every p@rt of this man nee-ds a genius t©uçh like yours.”

Hahaha
I just stared at him smiling.

“Do you know you’re silly?” I asked him.

He must be surprised at my question, because he stared at me for some seconds before talking. “Same question I asked myself,” he said. “I wonder why he acts so silly when he’s with you. The Victor I know was never like this, but I’m happy for you, that you didn’t get to admire him from a long distance.”
Hehe..
I wonder if the guy would ever be serious for once.
He stood up, and I gr@bb£d his hand back. “Are you leaving?”
He laughed. “No, I’m standing.”

I couldn’t hold my smile too.

“I know you will miss me, but
I should allow you re-ad.” He got up again. As I turned my head around, I never knew the students were watching us long ago. He left our seat to a seat of a p@rticular girl. He demanded for her phone, and I saw him re-moved her memory card. The girl was pleading, but Victor left her place back to mine. He handed the memory card to me.

“To avoid the video from spre-ading, cut the memory card and throw it away,” he said, and instantly left the libr@ry. I wonder why he gave it to me and didn’t destroy it himself. The girl c@m£ to me instantly and began begging with her friends.

“plea-se, I’m sorry s£nior Suzy. I just like you both together each time I see you,” she begged.
I couldn’t believe that. The girl was lieing. “What clas-s are you?”

“ss1,” she confessed.

“See me before I leave the libr@ry.” I told her so, and she left back to her place, watching me with one eye. I brou-ght out my phone and inser-ted the memory card to see the video myself. I inser-ted my earpiece, watching it. I haven’t reach half of the recording that I started smiling and laughing, covering my mouth. I could hear what Victor said, and I saw how I blu-shed, smiled, laughed, kicked, and threw him a punch on his che-st. Why did she c@m£ra this? For what exactly?
I st©pped the video, and I turned to her direction, saw her talking on phone. She was pleading on phone and was sorry for not carrying out what she was told.

“I didn’t know, but he saw me and collected my memory card. I’m sorry.” I was re-ading herl-ips as she talked.

I actually love the video, so I copied it on my phone. I deleted it from her memory card, and told her to bring her phone.
I inser-ted the memory card myself, check other places one could hide their files, but it was no longer there. Just I was about to hand over her phone, a call c@m£ in. It was ‘s£nior Betty’ I saw on her screen.

I smiled to myself.
Jobless!

Betty was actually the one who enjoyed seeing me Victor I guessed.

“You have a call.” I handed back her phone to her, and told her have deleted the video. I received a sincere thanks that I didn’t cut the memory card like I was told to do because of the pictures she has on it. I took my book and walked towards the libr@ry door. Staying at the libr@ry was of no use anymore, because I couldn’t gr-ab a single line in my note. The security opened the door, and unfortunately, I was unlucky to see BB standing outside the libr@ry.

No other reason, than to see the girl Victor and I had issue with. She looked at me badly, eyeing me. But to save myself from trouble, I ignored her completely, and walked away. I knew it would be very painful to her, because I acted like she doesn’t exist.

Walking out of the exam clas-s with a smile plastered on my face, this time around, further maths was the last exam the ss2 science students sitted for. I checked the questions again and again as I reached the school corridor.
No one would ever believe Mr. Eze could set so much questions for us. But thanks to God and the most supportive and great Dad he gave me. I first of all answered the theory questions. It was supposed to be ‘answer three out of five’, but this time it was ‘answer all questions’, and two more bonus questions was added, with an instruction which says, ‘answer and get a bonus mark’.

All questions that c@m£ out, were the questions have worked, and suffered getting the answers during the holidays. Uncle Abbey was very persistent I solve my past questions most of the time. And I must say, he has a reason which I thought him to be wicked, and a man of no mercy. Kunmi c@m£ out with a look of, ‘it was not what I expected’. I moved closer to her. “Hey, how was it?”

“Not that good Suzy. The questions were tough. But from the look I’m seeing, you did everything.”
I smiled. “I just tried my best too,” I said, trying not to make her feel bad because I knew she was good as well.

“Suzy, I’ve been meaning to ask you, who taught you those questions you solved in your further maths jotter. I was trying to solve some of it, but I couldn’t.”
“Oh, those questions! Dad hired some teachers that teach me during the holidays.”
“Really,” she looked surprised. “How I wish my Dad would also do that, but he’s too busy, so I only attend general lesson during the holidays.”
Hehehe

I was there refusing such opportunity, while she
wish she had that opportunity.

I love you Daddy. Despite how busy Dad is, he always create time to help me academically.
Such is life.

“I can’t believe you like doing lesson during the holidays, when you’re supposed to enjoy the time alone.”
Kunmi laughed, and adjusted her glas-ses. “See you, I’m so proud of your Dad for that. How can you be so good when you don’t re-ad or have time for studies.”
I agreed with her.

“Well, you’re right. If not for the lessons, I wouldn’t know how to solve these questions.”

“Exactly,” she said.
Thanks Daddy.
I knew he deserves more than that.

“So when are you leaving?”

“The same day everyone leaves the hostel.” I told her and she was happy.

“Its good to hear that.” We both headed to the hostel.
