I tapped my foot on the floor, waiting for the security guard.
I’ll just go in myself.
I took a step to go in but then I remembered I don’t know the floor Damon’s office is.

I went in and walked to a lady who was seated on a row of seats.
“excuse me ma’am ” I said and she looked up at me.
She smiled broadly and I smiled back.
“do you perhaps know the floor Damon Saltzman’s office is ” I asked.
“yeah, the last floor ” she said and I smiled.
“thanks ” I said and ran to the elevator.
“I pressed the bu-tton and waited for it to open.
It opened and some group of people c@m£ out.
I went in and pressed the last number I saw, 5.
The elevator c@m£ to an halt, ma-king it usual sound.
It opened and I walked out.
I looked around and saw the security guard, talking to a woman.
I still no my way to the board meeting but I don’t know my way to Damon’s office.
“excuse me ” I said to a pas-ser by and he st©pped.
“yes ” he asked.

“there she is ” I heard someone say and I looked back to see the security man.
“hey! Come back here “the lady he was talking to earlier, yelled.
I glared at them and ran to the door.
It was ha-rd to open so I knocked on it.
The glas-s space was up and I was small so I couldn’t see in.
“come in ” I heard Damon’s voice.
“Damon ” I called and waited for him to open.
“come here ” the lady held my hand and tried dragging me away but Damon c@m£ out just in time.
“Piper” he yelled and she flin-ched.
She let go of me and I ran to Damon.
He picked me up and glared at the lady before taking me into his office.

I heard a knock on the door and replied “come in”.
I was astonished when I heard Allie’s tiny voice.
What’s she doing here?
I opened the door and saw Piper trying to drag her away.
“Piper ” I yelled and she flin-ched.
She let go of Allie and she ran to me.
I picked her up and glared at Piper before going back to my office.
I’d have taught Piper a lesson had Allie not been here.
I sat on my chair and sat Allie on my l@ps.
“Damon, you have to help mommy ” she said and my heart skipped.
“what happened to mommy ” I asked.
“John is trying to f0rç£ her back to California ” she said and I flared up.
“you have to help her fast ” she said and I dropped her.
It must have taken Allie a lot of stress and time to get here.
I think if John was gonna elope with Katharine, he’d have gone to the airport.
I took my phone from the table and called the airport.
“this is Damon Saltzman ” I said immediately they pressed the answer bu-tton.
“how may we help sir ”
“I want you to st©p the plane going to California ” I demanded.

“just del@yit or better still, don’t let John Prize board the plane ”

“thanks a lot ” I said and hung up.
“Allie dear, stay here in the office and I’ll go get mom okay ” I said and she nodded.

I went to Piper and gave her a stern look.
“my daughter is in my office, she should be well taken care of. If she complains of anything to me when I’m back, consider yourself jobless ” I said between gritted teeth and ran out.
I boarded my car and headed to the airport.

I don’t know why they won’t allow us to board the flight.
Katharine has regained consciousness and she was fighting me.
I told her that I alre-ady had her daughter on hostage and if she refuse to come with me to California, I’ll give a go ahead to my men to kill her.
She loves her daughter a lot so she agreed.

“let’s go ” I held Kathy’s hand and she tried to protest but cooperated when I gave her a stern look.
We boarded my car and drove off.

I can’t believe John left the airport.
I must have arrived late.
Now where do I start looking for her?
I brou-ght out my phone and called the cops.

I can’t just sit and watch them.

I went to the sitting room and opened the door to go out but st©pped on my track.

“Damon ” Allie called and I picked her up.
“thanks ” I told Piper and she nodded with a smile.
She turned to leave but I st©pped her.

Allie yawned dramatically, reminding me she was still in my arms.
“isn’t the drama over yet? I’m cold ” she said dramatically and Piper and I chuckled.
Piper left and I took Allie in.
“did you bring mom ” she asked and I sighed.
“not yet, we’re still searching for her ” I said and her expression dropped.
“baby ” someone called and we looked up to see Katharine.
My mouth hung open and Allie used her hand to close my mouth.
“mommy ” she called and ran to Katharine.
Katharine picked her up and k!$$£d her all over.
She dropped Allie and her eyes met mine.
She smiled and I went to hvg her.
“I missed you ” I said and held her ti-ght.
We dis£ngaged and went to sit on the couch.

I can’t believe it but John let me go.
When he took me to the suite, I kept crying and I think that melted him.
He yelled at me to st©p crying but I got scared and cried even more.
He sat beside me and gently wiped my tears.
“you really love him ” he asked and I nodded in tears.
“and you wanna go back to him ” he asked and I nodded.
“oh Katharine ” he breathed out and hvgged me.
“I didn’t mean to hurt you, I just… I.. ” he stuttered and pu-ll-ed away.
A tear slid down his cheek and I kinda pitied him.
I know how it feels to love someone but can’t have that person.
“I’m sorry ” he said softly.
“go to him ” he said and I gazed unbelievably at him.
“I want you to be happy so go to him ” he said and I smiled.
“thanks ” I said in a whisper and he nodded.
Alre-ady at the door, I c@m£ back and hvgged him.
“I’m sorry ” I whispered into his ear.
I k!$$£d his cheek and ran out.
I hailed a cab straight to Damon’s house and met their two talking about me.
They were happy to see me as I was to see them.
We all sat on the couch and Damon kept giving me a look of “are we back together “.
“I’ll go to the restroom ” Allie said and ran off.
I know her too well, she just made that up.
“I forgive you ” I blurted out before Damon could say anything.
He smiled and crashed hisl-ips on mine.
