The next day at campus, news about Happiness’s kidnap was been discussed by the entire student b©dy.. Some hoped her safe delivery and hoped she returned unharmed, while some people did otherwise.
Peter who listened to all that was going on kept quiet and felt like he was also responsible for the situation Happiness was in, So I stayed by his side and cheered him up.
In a couple of month, We the final year students will be graduating but that won’t be possible if the security standards don’t improve, We even heard a rumor that we were going on an indefinite strike until the security issue was resolved.. Of course even though it was a rumor nob©dy liked the idea of going to strike when we were just months away from leaving campus life.
Later that day in clas-s, Peter and I sat together closely, he was busy telling me about what we would do to save happiness and also st©p the strike from happening.

Peter We seriously can’t stand by and do nothing.. I’m tired honestly and the strike thing… I won’t stand it…

Angelina Well, what are we going to do? You said no snitching to the police, right?

Peter Yeah. But after what I witnessed yesterday.. I can’t keep quiet anymore.. Even though we’re not related, Happiness is our friend.

Peter Remember that female detective, Denise?

Angelina The one that kidnapped us? Yeah..

Peter Well, she looks trustworthy… Maybe we should tell her what we know. What do you think?

Later that day, Peter And I got separated.. He went to another clas-s while I went to the dance clas-s to work on my footwork..
While I was in the clas-s practising some dance moves, My Dance instructor Mrs. Aline called me to her office.

As I took my seat, Aline began to stare at me in a suspicious way for some minutes before she started to talk.

Aline Did you attend a street dance yesterday?

No… I saw a video of your dance battle yesterday and I was impressed.. You have a great talent.. But I’m afraid you’re putting it to waste.

Angelina Huh? Waste? How?

Aline Good question… You see dancing is more like adapting and evolving, when you dance, you learn new steps and techniques but in other to bec@m£ a great dancer you nee-d to watch and learn from great dancers as well,.. Those you danced with yesterday are not in your league.. They’re nothing to write home about.. They’re good but not that good… You nee-d to be out there learning and dancing with the pros so you can hone your skills.
The reason why I called you to my office is because there’s a dance competition that is going to hold in Europe in 3months, best dancers from all over the world are going to attend this competition.. It’s going to be mas-sive. The dancers are very good but you’re no slouch yourself, I’m sure with the time provided you could improve greatly on your skills . The competition is been sponso-red by one wealthy dance school, they’re look for the best dancer that they would employ to teach in their school, and that’s not the best p@rt, anyone who wins the competition gets a million dollar cash prize, this isn’t just an opportunity, this is also a job offer as well.. No nee-d for you to hustle or suffer your legs getting a job here in Nigeria.

Aline Angelina, I’ve seen and taught many students over the years some of them are good dancers but none of them could match up to you.. They dance because they want fame and glory but you dance with pas-sion, you love dancing, it’s in you, I’ve watched and observed you, like I said you have great talent.. and your talent nee-ds to be shown to the world, You staying in Nigeria would only waste your talent even if you do succeed in getting a job here, you know how men are, with this lovely b©dy of yours, They’ll be using their power on you to do as they plea-se.. After that, I left her office… Back in the dance clas-s, I began to think about the offer.. It was great and I would love to go to Europe and dance but what about Peter.. There is so much I would want us to do together, now that we’re getting more and more into each other, but there’s something i would like to know… Does Peter love me? I love Peter wholeheartedly and there’s nothing that will make me st©p loving him but it’s good if I know how he feels about me.
My thoughts was suddenly interrupted by the sound of laughter from Cindy and the others, they were talking excitedly so I decided to go and check out what was up.

I left the girls and went out of the dance clas-s, the moment I stepped outside, I saw that ebira detective in his car looking at me direction, when our eyes met, he quic-kly drove away… I begin to wonder what was that all about.. Shortly after that, I headed to the cafeteria to see if Peter was there, but as I got there the only person I saw was David.

David Angelina sweetie.. Sup?

Angelina Don’t call me that… Have you seen Peter?

David That loser.. No.. He’s not my business.

David I must say I un-derestimated that cheap Charlie of yours.

David brou-ght out his phone and showed me a picture of Peter inside Zainab’s car.. My heart skipped a beat when I saw that.. What was Peter doing in her car? David chuckled as he saw the look of disbelief on my face.

I felt insulted when I heard that, just who does this David think he is? What makes him think that I’ll waltz back into his arms.. God forbid.

David stretched out his hand to collect his phone, I stretched my hands out a little bit and let go of the phone, it fell down and smashed on the ground.

David’s eyes popped wi-de open with shock as he saw his phone’s censor break into pieces.

After that, I walked out on David and left the cafeteria… As I walked aimlessly around the campus wondering about the picture I saw in David’s phone. That Zainab! What in the world is she doing with my Peter? I bet she’s trying to make me jealous.. And as for Peter.. I’m going to give him an earful when I get my hands on him.
In that moment, My eyes caught a glimpse of John’s car again, this time around he was in his car using a binocular to check on the students, I quic-kly moved out of sight and went back to my dep@rtment.. Something was odd.. Why was John here? Was he looking for someone, if he is then who?
As soon as I got to my dep@rtment, I saw Peter standing in front of the admin building, as soon as our eyes met, he approached me.

Angelina Mr. Man.. We nee-d to talk now.

Before I could say anything, I was rudely interrupted by John’s car horn, I was even surprised to see him… Was he following me?
The Idi*t c@m£ down from his car and headed towards our direction.. When Peter saw him, he g@sped in shock.

Hours Earlier……
Hmm, what a day! Every student in campus is going on about with their usual stuff but they can’t help but discuss about Happiness’s kidnap… Poor girl.. I could have saved her but I couldn’t… I couldn’t help but think about what Denise said, perhaps maybe if I had cooperated with her earlier maybe this wouldn’t have happened to Happiness and now the kidnappers are planning on taking Angelina.. I can’t let that happen. But if I’m going to talk to Denise, I have to make sure she can be trusted, I don’t want a situation where I’ll put myself and those that I care about in danger.
And Speaking of Angelina, I could remember what happened last night between us.. That girl, she’s caring things a bit too far.. I love her but I still don’t know why I can’t tell her.. I was even surprised when I found out that mom knew about what happened.. Earlier that morning, Angelina was outside waiting for me, I was getting dressed when mom c@m£ into my be-droom with the usual eyeing look on her face.

As soon as I got to the admin block, I saw her coming towards the dep@rtment, I waved at her and she saw me, I went to her place so that we could find someplace else to hang out just the two of us..
As we were talking to each other, a car beeped behind us interrupting our conversation… The driver of the car c@m£ down and approached us. I was shocked when I saw his face… Angelina who saw how disturbe-d I was asked what was wrong.
