LATER THAT DAY…
PAT’S RESTAURANT AND BAKERY
The restaurant was already empty since it was already late and they were ready to go home. Elena entered with Lucas and Annabella, making up her mind to show her parents the real her.
“I’m sorry, Miss but we’ve closed for today.” Mr Pat said.
“Seriously dad, you can’t recognize your own daughter?” Elena asked in a shaky voice.
Mr Pat was confused. Evie came out and met them while Quinn went to pull out the sign that read ‘Closed’ because she already knew what Elena was up to.
“Elena, you’re welcome. Oh, I’m sorry but we’ve closed for today.” Evie said and smiled at her.
“You too, mum. You couldn’t recognise me either, your own daughter!” She said as tears rolled down her cheeks.
“What are you talking about?” Evie asked.
“It’s so sad. It wasn’t ha-rd for Quinn to find out but it hurts when I see that my own parents couldn’t recognise me.” Elena said.
“Are you…” Evie gasped and trailed off.
Elena put her hands on her head, and removed her mask. Evie almost collap-sed but Mr Pat supported her.
“Noel, is this really you?” She asked.
“It’s me, mum.” She said.
Mr Pat’s grip on Evie loosened. She ran and hug-ged Noel, crying profusely. “I thought that you were dead. Why didn’t you come to see me all these while? You told me that you’re the daughter of the Wilson’s.” Evie said while crying.
Mr Pat hug-ged her too. Quinn just smiled and watched them. “I thought I’d never see this day.” She burst into tears while Annabella comforted her.
Evie was so overjoyed. It felt too good to be true. She didn’t want to let go because she thought her daughter would disappear again. It was like a dream that she never wanted to wake up from.
After the whole hugging session, they all sat down.
“Now, tell me why you didn’t come home and is pretending to be someone else! Do you know how much I suffered to bear the loss? Start talking.” Evie said.
“It’s a long story, mum.” Elena said.
“We have all the time to listen to it.” Mr Pat said and Elena sighed before starting her narration.

“What? Can’t you look me in the eyes now?” Elena teased Gray who was avoiding eye contacts with her.

“If it’s nothing, then look at me and talk to me.” She said.
“What am I supposed to say to you?” He asked calmly.
“Something you tell someone that you love so much.” She said and he chuckled.
“I love you,” He said and she blus-hed. “Why are you blus-hing? I said exactly what I was supposed to.” He teased.
“It was just so sudden that I couldn’t take it in.” She said and bit her li-ps.
“Well, return it to me then.” He said and she laughed.
“I love you.” She said and he smiled.
Few minutes later, Gray remembered something.
“What about the stuff you’re supposed to show me today?” He asked.
“I want Camille to be here first.” She said.
Gray just looked at her. As if on cue, Camille entered the office with Levi and with Zara holding the baby.
“I have come to complain Gray.” She said.
“Is that why you barged into my office with these people?” Gray asked pointing to Levi and Zara.
“Yeah. I have decided that enough is enough! You don’t come to check on your child, you don’t ask of him either. You don’t even know his name or what he eats.
Are you this wicked? After defiling me and getting me pregnant, is this fair?” Camille asked and Elena scoffed.
Elena stood up from her seat and stood in front of Gray’s desk. “Is it fair to for-ce him into taking responsibility for a child that doesn’t belong to him?” Elena asked and Camille gasped.
“What are you talking about?” Gray asked.
Elena went to her drawer and brou-ght out some files. She dropped them on Gray’s table. “Open and go throu-ghthem.” She said.
Gray opened them and his eyes wide-ned at what he saw. He saw the pictures of Camille and Chris, then the DNA test results. He stood up angrily and slammed his hands on the table.
“You were tricking me all this while!” Gray snapped and Camille flinched.
“It isn’t what you think.” Camille said.
“It is exactly what he is seeing there. You never loved Gray from the onset, all you wanted was his money.
You thought that, the business deal in Korea would be better than the money you would loot from Gray, so you ditched your wedding and lied that you were kidnapped.” Elena said.
“No! No! Levi! Tell them that it wasn’t true.” Camille said.
Levi sighed. “It’s true. I helped her in Korea before she sent me back to America and picked Julie.” Levi said and Camille sIapped him.
“You betrayal!” She yelled.
Gray was shocked. “I am such a fool!” He h!t his head.
“I didn’t do anything!” Camille said.
“Don’t get scared yet, Camille. More shuckers are coming your way. This is what you get for trying to kill two days ago.” Elena said.
The door opened and Raymond came in with Chris, Lucas, Annabella, Silvia and Julie. Camille’s eyes wide-ned when she saw Julie.
“You’re… You’re alive?” She asked.
“What were you expecting?” Julie rolled her eyes.
Camille held her head in confusion and shock. She was done for! Chris went and collected the baby from Zara. “I finally get to see my son.” Chris said.
“So, nothing happened between us that night? And you lied to me!” Gray yelled at Camille.
“She lied to all of us and caused us severe pains. Listen to this,” Elena said and brou-ght out her phone. She played the recording Levi sent her.

Do you really think you can get away with everything you’ve done? You tried to kll me, you threatened Scarlet, you blackmailed Gray and expect me to keep quiet? You can’t kill me twice.” Elena said.

Elena looked at Gray. “Gray, I hope you’ll forgive me for hiding this from you.” She said.
Gray came to stand in front of her. “What did you do?” He asked.
“I survived.” She said.

“Yeah, it’s me.” She said.
“No! It can’t be.” Camille said as she stared in shock.
“You were Elena all this while?” Gray asked as tears rolled down his cheeks.
“Yes. I came back for revenge, that’s why I hid my identity. Now, that I am almost done, what’s the use of hiding it from you, Gray.” Noel said.
“Why? Why didn’t you tell me? I suffered for a year!” Gray said.
“I suffered too!” She snapped. “I was in coma for a whole year, I couldn’t see you, touch you, feel you or even talk to you. Do you know how much it hurts?
It hurts even more when I saw you but couldn’t show you who I am. My chance of survival was 30%. The only reason I didn’t die was because of you.” She said and Gray hug-ged her.
“Gosh! I feel so useless and f©olish.” Gray said.
“It’s okay, everything is about to return to the way it was.” Noel said.
“Hey! I saw some people entering_” Austin paused as he entered with Scarlet.
“What’s going on here?” Scarlet asked.
Noel disengaged from the hug and Scarlet gasped.
“Noel… You’re alive!” She screamed and ran to hug her.
“How is this possible?” Austin asked as he hug-ged her too and Noel glared at Camille.
“No! I can’t let this happen!” Camille wanted to stand up but Levi pinned her down.
“Call the police.” Noel said.
Few minutes later, the police officers came and took Camille with them.
They were about arresting Levi as well but Noel stopped them. He was going to serve as a witness to all the crimes Camille committed.
They all went to a restaurant and Noel told them all that happened.
“You’re really a strong person, Noel. I can’t believe you still came back and made him fall in love with you all over again. I feel like I’m in a romantic movie right now.” Scarlet said.
“It wasn’t easy acting fierce and strong though but I had two besties by my side.” Noel said.
“Thanks Lucas, for saving her.” Gray smiled.
“You’re welcome. She is lucky to have you as you are lucky to have her as well.” Lucas said.
“And we’re lucky to be together!” Julie said and held his hand.
“What?” Lucas was confused.
“Stop acting like you don’t anything right now, okay? I heard what you said the other day.” Julie said and they laughed.

“Don’t worry, I und-erstand that you don’t want to say it in the presence of everybody, probably because you’re shy.” Julie said.
“You’re getting it all wrong here.” Lucas tried to defend himself but it seemed that Julie wasn’t in the mood for any explanation. He sighed and smiled.
“Why are your ears red, big brother?” Annabella teased.
“What the he¢k!” He snapped and ran away from them.
They laughed, and continued gisting and eating.
Later in the day, Noel and Gray were left alone. They sat on a swing, with her head on his ch-est while he patted her head.
“Today is the greatest day of my life. I feel like I’m in a dream, if it’s a dream, I never want to wake up.” Gray said and Noel laughed.
“I should be angry at you, you know.” She said and sat up then faced him.
“Why?” He asked.
“You cheated on me!” She snapped.
“I don’t und-erstand what you’re saying. How did I cheat on you?” He asked, looking so innocent that she almost burst into laughter.
“How could you fall in love with another lady?” She asked.
“But that lady was you.” He defended.
“You didn’t know that,” She smacked his ch-est. “You really have a soft heart that could fall in love with anybody, don’t you?” She asked.
Gray embraced her. “I fell in love with her because I saw my Noel in every of her behavior.
I always felt like you were the one but she was a bada-ss who didn’t tolerate n©nsense from anyone, be it her boss or colleagues.
I loved her but it was because she was like you, she made me smile when I was hurt, she always kept me on my toes. I’m glad that she turned out to be you.” Gray said and she smiled.
“My joy knows no bounds now. I feel like I’m being born again, I also feel like this is the first time I’m meeting you. I love you.” She said.
“I love you more.” He said and before she could say anything, he kssed her. She didn’t hesitate to kss him back.
She missed his li-ps so much. Yeah, she kssed him as Elena once but those weren’t her li-ps, now he is hers and no one can separate them again.

Those of you that glared at her whenever she pa-sses by and pick up fights with her, get ready to lose your jobs.”
“Why are you saying that? Do you think it’s easy to find a company that pays better than this?”

“This is so unbelievable. Who would have known that the Elena the whole employees feared was our own Noel. I’m so glad I didn’t get on her bad side.” Reina said.
